American company with no name, address, website or email. How do you even expect a jobseeker to believe this? Poster isn't that your phone number? Please try harder and stop insulting our intelligence on this forum. |
Jobseekers be wise, if you fall 'mugu' please don't come back here to whine o. You have been warned. |
You've been given the all clear to pass your message for a couple of days and I'm sure a couple of people want to know the deal. Oh well. . . |
Hey, I've been thinking about career direction a lot lately and thought it would be a good idea to hear other people's views in general. I know I want to be an Enterprise Architect (EA) and have found out quite a bit about it but due to its relatively recent emergence as an area of the IT field there's no great sources of empirical knowledge about what it takes to successfully grow a career in that direction. Just pockets of info here and there, nothing extensive or in-depth. So, do you have any experience in this area? Or any knowledge at all? I know a wide range of experience is necessary in order to function as an EA but does it take a mastery of all aspects of IT architecture to rise to EA level? Or is it just fine to focus on a specific area? Any useful resources? It would be nice to establish links with contacts who are in the industry if there are any present on this board. Cheers ![]() |

Ah why apply so much effort on this matter? U come expose yourself like this for public :-| Try Proverbs 17:28 and take it in the best way. Hope it helps. ![]() |
manny4life:Haven't you just goofed there ^? It was a rhetorical question and you didn't need to spend your time trying to answer. Address the matter on hand and while at it make a coherent argument. I'll unpick your feeble attempt at constructing one here, um. . . . on second thought I won't bother cos it's needless. Just so you know, LHR is hub to 3 airlines and 2 already fly into Lagos. The third, BMI, will find it near impossible to operate the LHR-LOS route for many reasons one of which is it's owned by Lufthansa and would be seen as foreign competition on home ground. If they easily could, they wouldn't be renting their slots to Arik. manny4life:Connecting thru Dubai is not comparable to flying direct. |
To those hailing the move by the Nigerian authorities, its a shame that many of the arguments here are just plain lame. Guk described it as 'cutting one's nose to spite one's face' and couldn't be more right. I doubt those authorities thought the effects of their action through before announcing their cowardly move. What concerns BA with Arik's problems? What would it have taken them to open negotiations with the British Authorities? Were any mediatory steps taken before they decided on the drastic action? I guess not, who in his right mind would compare London Heathrow with Lagos MM? If these guys (Min of Aviation, NCAA, FAAN) understood a bit more of the competition and politics of landing at Heathrow maybe they would have judged the situation better and made a smarter move instead. Even between BA and its local rivals Virgin Atlantic, a whole lot of politicking and tussling has transpired with the Heathrow slots. But I trust my people, no tact, no analysis, just straight 'abeg reduce their flights' action. In the current arrangement who needs who more? |
ajekpaks:'Please load an all-in-one card', don't know if they still do but that's how they referred to their recharge cards in their early days. |
Don't know who else noticed but there was slack defending from Bosingwa again today. He is yet to master the art of overlapping from Ash. . . little wonder the Genk goal came from his position, just like three of the Arsenal goals last week. He does well on the attack but unlike Ash, his defending ability is suffering for it. |

^ I see now it's official. I wish Stephen Keshi good luck! And I hope the 'Siasia must go' advocates are happy now? Unfortunately, it's back to the same old saying - "We'll see how it turns out", and hopefully. . .*sigh*, Nigerian foootball shall be the better for it. |

Which 'very big company' uses Gmail? Why not hr@verybigcompany.com? Jobseekers be wise. |
This is too vague to be take serious, why the secrecy? No specific course of study required, yet you declare a Masters' degree as an added advantage! |
Some do and some don't. And I think it's more likely they would if the pay difference is large. Honesty is usually a safer approach. Better to negotiate for an increase than lose a job offer based on issues of integrity. |
Absolutely unprofessional. Employers go out of line cos they know there is a multitude ready to take their shyte if you're unwilling. |
Similar thing happened to the current governor of Oyo State and he kept quiet, the bank has since charged him to court. Read it here: http://www.pointblanknews.com/News/os5134.html Do the right thing, your conscience knows what it is. |
