This is a very large bank and they are going to employ a lot of people. Its not an FMCG that would employ only twenty graduates. First bank has over five hundred branches in Nigeria, so if you did well in the test, you have a good chance of getting called for the interview and getting the job!

I did not write the test. I saw that they have called for assessment center on a jobsite similar to nairaland. They sent the text messages yesterday. If you have not got a text, you may relax. Its definitely going to be in batches because they are employing a lot of people.

If you are still below 27, its a good result. Most banks accept 2.1 and 2.2. What you just need to do is to be online everyday so that you would know when different banks are accepting cvs. You may also submit your cv to head offices of banks if you are in Lagos. Finally, when going for service, go with a GMAT and study it thoroughly throughout your service year. It will help you in tests after your service. And if you see jobs which require 2.1, apply for them. Even if they dont employ you, you would get test experience which would be useful to you when you write bank tests.

Nobody knows when they would start calling for interviews. Dragnet have finished their part of the recruitment process. Its up to union bank to conduct interviews. The only funny thing is that nobody knows the cut off mark.

Look for graduate trainee jobs and apply. That is your best bet.

I did not write the first bank test anyway. I just know that they would conduct interview for successful candidates this year. Its 2012 graduate trainee, so it cant exceed this year!

@ igunnu. No one has been contacted by first bank. But you can be sure workforce has done its own part. Its left to first bank to conduct interviews, medicals etc.

I think working in a bank exposes one to a lot of business opportunities.

Adjunct: Ok, I actually resigned when I had saved up enough funds for further studies. I studied Engineering and wanted to have a career growth in my field. I was becoming too comfortable in the Bank without growth actually. I never wanted to stay more than 3 yrs in the Bank since many pple easily get carried away while there.

Adjunct: I resigned from DiamondBank. As a Trainee(1st 6 months), you are paid 80K monthly. Once you are converted to an Executive Trainee(ET), your annual gross payment becomes N2,796,000 but you receive N178K every month excluding your housing allowance at the begining of the year which is N245k.

Do you know any top officer there? If not, dont worry about their recruitment. Even if you have a first class or zeroth class and you dont know a top officer, omo nothing for you like Lagbaja would say!

workforce is currently recruiting for first bank. The test was conducted in February and those who wrote it have not heard anything after the test.

I dont think your friend would score zero. I did first bank 3-minute quiz by workforce. I did not submit within the 3-minute time frame and I thought I was out. To my surprise, I was called for the next stage.
