When I marry, I will never allow my relatives or my wife's relatives to stay in my house. It just doesnt work out. Where were the relatives staying before we married? Or would they be sleeping on the streets had I or my wife not married? I dont see any need for extra help with house chores. A couple should be able to take care of their home and husbands should help their wives with some chores. |
@ koolvin 12 I am really interested in your interview. Which company asked you to come for interview? Did you apply to work with them? Did you write any test with them? How much were you asked to pay? Answer these questions and lets start from there. |
When people have intimacy without planning for the results, they give birth to children they cannot cater for. These children are then sent to the streets to hawk. Stupid intimacy is the MAIN cause of poverty in Nigeria! |
The good news for all concerned is that the last time union bank recruited, they employed around 960 graduates. I saw this in their 2009 annual reports. They and most banks usually do mass recruitment. |
In 2010, I wrote a dragnet test for globacom. I was called for interview after five months. I had already forgotten the job when I got the invite for interview. After the interview, I did not hear from them again. I waited for a year, after which I forgot the job. My heart would always skip whenever I got a text message then. |
My score is 54%. Someone said the cut off is 50%, but I dont think there will be a round figure cut off. The cut off will be determined by the general performance. If the highest score is 31% for example, is it that they wont employ anyone? |
I used to hate the blackberry until my younger brother bought one. I saw all he could do for a paltry 1500 per month and I am thinking of getting one. The only thing holding me back for now is that bbs dont have fm radios. I would still buy one anyway. Its the CHEAPEST means of communication. |
During the subsidy crisis in January, AIT brought this man and two other discussants on matters arising. At the end of the programme, one of the guests told the anchor of the programme; next time you are bringing us on a programme with Patrick, please provide a dictionary on the programme. |
@ poster, Like most people have said, move to a less expensive home. People may laugh at you, but you know where you are going. Think of cement business. You have a good amount of money to start with. You may go round building sites and offer to supply them cement, or better still, you may meet small construction firms. If your wife to be is not employed, she may manage the cement business while you look for another job. I would still advise you to look for another job because you have experience which money cannot buy. When you get another job, keep your cement business and you would be earning money on two fronts. |
I feel they should have reduced their salaries rather than sacked them. The man at the counter did not conspire with Ibru and Erastus to steal billions. They should not pay for what they did not do. |
What the governor did was making a political statement. Go to the primary and secondary schools and you would see for yourself that they are paying. Shine your eyes. |
Basically these tests consist of simple maths and verbal reasoning questions. What is being tested is your speed, because you would have limited time. I was invited for the test but I have an interview on the same day, 14th february |
As a person who served in Government Day Junior Secondary School in Bajoga(Gombe) state and who sees the town of Bajoga as second home, I am really sad about this development. There are only 3 problems responsible for this. One is that the students are not taught in English language in primary schools. They enter secondary school not understanding English, which is the language WAEC uses to conduct exams. Two, the governor should go on massive recruitment of teachers. Almost all the secondary schools in Gombe state are run by youth corpers. Finally, the government should enlighten the students and their parents on the importance of education. I must confess that the commissioner of education when I was serving in 2009 (Hajiya Aishatu M.B Ahmed) did a lot in this regard. She came to my school twice during my service. She went to all the classes one after the other, speaking to the students, especially the girls, on the importance of education. |
I started paying my tithe since I was a student in the university. I continued paying my tithe during my youth service, though things were really tough then. After my service, I got a job which paid less than ten thousand, which I did for a year. I still continued paying my tithe. I left that job and after three months, I got a good job with the Ogun state government last year. I worked for three months, expecting to get paid my first three months' salaries and paying my tithe. But I was sacked in July last year along with two thousand others for political reasons. We were not paid a dime. I lost all the money I had spent on transport and other things. I have not got another job since then. Now tell me, where is God's promise that He would rebuke the devourer if we pay tithes. Fellas, if you pay tithe or give first seed and anything good happens to you, dont deceive yourself that your tithe or first fruit made it happened to you! |
@ bamburh I can only advise you to be careful to avoid being duped. Anyway, I trust we ex-oouites. All will be well. |
I am very grateful to Mr. Orikinla Osinachi for mentoring me through the process of publishing this book online. The greatness of a man is measured by the number of lives he has touched positively. I recommend the book to jobseekers and the reading public worldwide. |
Two people who read chemical engineering posted on a website similar to nairaland that they have been called for assessment, something like a group discussion. |
People have already been screened with the personality assessment. That cannot be the criteria being used now. The performance in the last aptitude test is what is being used now. |
@ boneruns Those people were invited for assessment and not interview. I think this assessment is based on one's field because the two people who posted online that they have been called read chemical engineering. I read biochemistry. Lets keep hope alive! |
I saw on that some people have been called for assessment. I hope it is in batches. |
@ boneruns I just read on that some people were invited. I can only hope the invitation is in batches! |
@ boneruns Are you sure of what you are saying or you just want to pull the legs of people. I dont think there can be an interview straight from that test because of the large number that wrote it. I think there would still be another test to cut the number down. |
@ Ifyger007 I also wrote the test in Lagos and I havent been contacted. Lets keep our fingers crossed. |
I think one should get to the interview stage first before worrying about the pay package. Lets keep our fingers crossed£ |
@SuperEnog. I have not heard anything after that test @ chams lagos last week |
I think there would still be another test, even if not two or three. |
@ Orikinla. I am still in the process of ordering a proof copy of my book. I want to register my GTBANK mastercard for online transaction so that I would use it to pay for the book. The book is an account of aptitude tests I have written and job interviews I have done. In the final chapter, I discussed my opinions about the contemporary labour market. I checked your profile for your email address but it was not there. My email address is oladijib@yahoo.com. The details of the book are given below. Title: The Account of a Nigerian Jobseeker Subtitle: The Journey of a Graduate in the Labour Market. Author: Babayemi Eniola Oladiji. Thank you for the information and encouragement you have been giving me. |
@ poster. I really beg you not to divorce your wife because your child and your wife would suffer. When I was much younger, I used to say that I would divorce my wife if she gets fatter after I marry her. But now, I know that a lady CANNOT keep her slimfit size especially after having children. |
@ Poster Send her to national open university of Nigeria so that She will not be exposed to young playboys who may snatch her from you. |
@ Orikinla. Thank you. The information you have given me have been very crucial. |
