Mbeki: World's sexiest accents Because a foreign language can be the best aphrodisiac, we traveled the world in search of the 12 hottest accents By Jordan Burchette

Famous tongues: King Sunny Adé, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde Dignified, with just a hint of willful naiveté, the deep, rich “oh’s” and “eh’s” of Naija bend the English language without breaking it, arousing tremors in places other languages can’t reach. Kinda makes the occasional phone scam worth the swindle.
Sounds like: The THX intro with teeth

beeman80: Hello House! I really appreciate you guyz on nairaland and right now i am in a dilemma and some advice from you guyz might be of great help. I am a young dad, married and upwardly mobile but I want to try my hands on the US student visa so that in the end I might be able to settle there with my Family. However a part of me is just skeptical due to fears of regrets and all. Is it a smart move to resign my not too bad job for the US with my family? Will i get a good job offer there to cater for my family as a student and after graduating from the school? Should I just stay put here and keep managing what Nigeria has to offer(Boko Haram,NEPA,Armed robbers,Bad roads etc) ? I am begging for answers here.Advice from people who have gone to the US on legal grounds would be most appreciated here.
Thanks in advance! certain professional careers and technical skills are employable in the states and other parts of the globe. It depends on your career line. It is will be difficult and risky gamble to move to the states to pick up a student status given the fact that you're a family man. That are many ways you can plan your intended migration. I know of a Naija banker who picked up an online Msc from the states, got a job with HSBC in the gulf and currently got transferred to chicago. Layout your options and go for the best. |

No one is saying you can't use information from an external source, but that when you use such information, word for word, without being paraphrased, and represent it as your own, you cite the source from where the information was extracted and/or give credit to the person whose information was used. i'll assume you don't understand English, i forgive your stupidity. i was only referring to "you" as a specimen for further studies on tropical neural breakdown. If you read what i wrote properly (not using google translator) you will see that i only wanted to know if quoting some of your lucid responses on my thesis will amount to a violation of some sort. Honestly, you need to drink more water. you have a gelatinated pulp for a brain |

Travel › Re: Advice Needed: Should He Travel To Germany Or Hustle In Abuja? by 27naira(m): 10:02am On Aug 15, 2011 |
ojdollars: @27naira and frauduloso, Noted. But the poster said, his friend has thought about the two options he had and possibly still thinking about them. You see, as a Nigerian, you don't have to be soft outside of your comfort zone (Your Country). You have to be tough, you have to be determined. A man that is determined and see afar of can't be limited by any challenges or confrontation he would face anywhere he is. I am only trying to encourage him in his dream to succeed. I know that Germany is often refer to as a Police country, but until he get there he can never conclude on what Germany is about. No Risk, No Reward. Once he get's to the bridge, he will cross it. He can also get information from people he knows living there on how he can settle down there in Germany, it's possible.
Na talk dey bring talk my brothers, have a great evening over there in your zone. Your comment appears to bear no definite direction. They are just words of encouragement that negates the fact that the backbone of success is a salable plan that is foolproof. For an individual to contemplate either settling in Abuja or moving over to Germany will immediately make you see the lack of direction which is an ultimate pointer to the fact that this homeboy needs to go back to the drawing table and find out what he wants to do! Nigerians are quick to rush into a society where they feel things work perfectly well only to be heartbroken by the fact that their lack of preparedness automatically make them a nuisance to the society. Na inquisition make cat enter boiling water. That your bolded comment is offensive. You sound like a criminal. No offence meant. |

If you are a professional, with an offer for job, you can make it big time here. BUT if you are one of those Nigerians that will hope into a plane to come here and hustle, you are doomed. This is not europe, they are allergic to bullshit. |
