Crime › Re: My Girlfriend Was Raped In Lagos By A Fat Elderly Man With A Pot Belly by 27Pushing30: 11:20am On Nov 02, 2021 |
Mystoree: So I had some issues with my girlfriend and we were kind of not talking for 2 weeks, during that time, a lot happened in her life.
We settled and while we were telling each other about what happened during our time apart, she began to cry and opened up to me that she was raped. I will ordinarily not believe that lie if she was a virgin but she wasn't, I met her as one and I was her first, so there will be no point in her even revealing it to me if she wasn't as it was a one time thing and I will hardly notice. At that point, i felt like my world just stopped for some seconds, o felt dizzy and found somewhere to sit trying to process what I just heard. Funny thing was that on the night of that incident, I was feeling weird about her and called her to find out how she was, it was around 9:30 pm and she was a student of a higher institution on the mainland while I stay on the island. After I called her, she picked up and told me she was going to call me back as she was trying to get a bike to take her to where she was going to, and immediately she ended the call, a man put a knife behind her and threatened to kill her if she doesn't give him what he wants, she offered her phone and all but this man was just after sex, according to her, the area was quiet and there was almost nobody on the streets, he pulled her to a shop corner and forced his way. I was devastated and confused, this is the only lady I have ever seen myself marrying amongst all the ladies I have met, she checks all the boxes, she said it didn't last up to 5 minutes and she cried all through but the man didn't care. He was a fat elderly man with a pot belly, wearing a nose mask in the night so she could not even see his face.
I was so angry at her because first of all, I warned her several times not to move in the night in that area as it is very dangerous, we were once robbed on the same street around 8pm, so I wonder what went into her mind moving by almost 10pm. She said she was on night shift where she works and then her friend called her to join them for a party, so she took permission and wanted leaving and that was when it happened. Now the thing is, those friends of hers are very bad influence on her and I told her a long time ago, she said she doesn't follow them but just hangs around with them in school, little did I know that she went to the bar alongside them and their boyfriends a number of time without my knowledge. She showed me pictures of their outings and a stab on the hand from the rapist. I'm so angry, she has been crying and begging, I asked her to stop the job and she agreed,i have thought of getting a girl and some guys to disguise and go to the same area late night to see if the devil will push the bastard to try his lick again cos I swear, I will make sure I put a stick through his anus through to his mouth, revenge is all that is on my mind cos I love this girl so much
I have read rape stories but I never thought it would come so close to me, I have been put in countless situations where a girl changes her mind on letting me into her and I respected that, I wonder why this would happen to me, I don't know what to do, any advice is welcome.
Modified - for those claiming she lied, she came along with the doctors report and tests receipt. Her story get one interesting K-leg sha that’s all I can say |

Also they ignored our brightest talents like Karim Adeyemi and Arnaut Danjuma to be chasing average players like Lookman.

hardbody: I have been reading all these comments on acknowledgement but we have closed our eyes to the fact that sometimes recipients blatantly refuse to even accept letters directed to them. Available options will be to either resend through courier or follow through by conduct (refusing to continue to work on the project in this instance). In anycase, prowess has claimed it discontinued this relationship, I have no other proof to disbelieve them until the property owners provide a different evidence perhaps by subsequent payments made or other correspondences with Prowess. I guess we are so fraudulent in this country that even a good and well intended move is prone to suspicion and misinterpretation. I hope the truth gets established. I hope the truth gets out too. All they did at that convention was to share money (that the governors stole from their states) amongst the useless delegates to induce them to vote in a certain way.
Now when they tell you they cannot fix roads or pay salaries, at least you lot have an idea of how your taxes and federal allocations were spent. It’s only in Nigeria we hear “consensus” candidates Sadly the so called “youth leaders” like Falz and co. UncleAyo: Why is Nigeria not using the credit card system? Are Nigerians less human?
There is also mobile checking in other countries where you can use a mobile phone to cash a check by just taking the picture of the check. Credit cards are readily available but even abroad they’re based on some sort of security /credit score / personality. Ordinary loan app quick loans are being abused and the entitled debtors I see here egging themselves over how they won’t pay is why I’m even against commercial banks offering these quick loans via dial ups. Even most institutions can’t back their staffs ... that alone shows you how “trustworthy” Nigerians are |

Career › Re: 3 Marketing Lessons We Can Learn From Netflix's "Squid Game' by 27Pushing30: 3:21pm On Oct 11, 2021 |
post=106645647: Squid Game is absolutely worth watching if you can stand all the violence and tragedy. As much as it's a show about people competing in a deadly, real-life version of Fall Guys (basically) it's also a cautionary tale about the many terrible ways that money—whether you have too much or too little—can ruin lives.
It's currently the most watched show on Netflix in 90 countries this week including Ireland. The dystopian series takes its name from a Korean children's game where the attacking team tries to get through the middle of the squid shape drawn on the ground with goal of tapping the squid's head with their foot to win.
Someone asked at the other thread if Squid Game is for kids, Here is your answer ma, Parent agrees that the series is definitely not suitable for children, adding that not only are people being killed brutally, there's suicide, sex and swearing too. If squid game was a top notch series then besides the “red light - green light game” in episode 1 there will be other things worth doing memes over in a 9 episode series . It’s just hype and that’s the fact. But it’s made bastard money which is a good stat! |

Sometimes I wonder how you guys read and watch without asking critical questions He said he “hurriedly” filled a form but couldn’t remember to fill his NUMBER 1 business interest? He said next is a trust ... can he break down what a trust is? And why he preferred setting it up offshore? Christianity Etc › Re: Pandora: My Observation About Bishop Oyedepo's Tax Haven Controversy - Highered by 27Pushing30: 9:40pm On Oct 10, 2021 |
HigherEd: I'm back from Church, and I find myself laughing as people on nairaland are claiming that I am a PR person for Bishop Oyedepo and expect I would soon be back with a rebuttal. I wasn't intending any rebuttal before, as I am not a PR person for the living faith church. But I would do this in defense of the gospel because a non credible attack against one of Nigeria's most credible churches is unacceptable.
I think many of us generally get carried away with headlines and forget the substance of an article before rushing to comment.
I have gone through the entire article and I haven't seen anything indicting of the Oyedepo family. But I would address four observations from the article itself and from the surrounding comments.
Why Should Oyedepo Or Living Faith Avoid Taxes By Setting Up Offshore Accounts Giving The Bible Verse "Give Unto Ceasar What Is Unto Ceasar"?
1) For all the businesses the living faith church operates in Nigeria pays taxes to the Nigerian government. This includes the publishing business, and the other taxable constituent businesses around the universities which includes the microfinance banks, water and beverage factories, farms etc.
2) There are over 200 nations on earth eligible to receive taxes. So British Islands is also 'ceasar'. Every nation has the responsibility to make themselves tax attractive to welcome foreign investment and Oyedepo and his family are just as eligible as anyone else to search for better priced tax opportunities for their personal or ministry benefit.
Is Living Faith Investment Carriage A Secret?
Inside the Mantle book and under the finance section of the living faith church details to great extent the administrative procedure for the church, it is well cited that the living faith church can maintain asset management to protect the church's income. Or did you expect the church to warehouse millions of dollars with banks who would live large on the proceeds and expose the hard earned income of worshippers to inflation even before the church uses it?
Are Oyedepo's Universities The Most Expensive In Nigeria As Claimed By The Article?
We all know this to be untrue. The Living Faith university system runs one of the most pocket friendly private universities in Nigeria when comapred to secular varsities of equal standing. There's nothing unusual about the price of Living faith schools.
I suspect that the addition of this claim was just to make Oyedepo look further bad and horrible.
Does Living Faith Maintain Four Jets?
This is another claim that has been debunked several times by Leke Beecroft of Church gist and many others who cared to explain. The living faith church has used four to five planes in the past to convey its church leadership. It regularly sells her older planes to buy new ones. Currently, the church uses more of its helicopter to shuffle the church leadership and that of the RCCG around the country. While deemphasizing on the use of the private jet.
However, the article presented it as though the living faith church maintains an active fleet of four jets on standby in a futile attempt to further make the church appear greedy and evil. I stopped reading the moment I saw “British virgin island is a Caesar” FYI British Virgin Islands is a TAX HAVEN! Explain how a CHURCH will set up a SHELL company in a TAX HAVEN where MOBSTERS, DICTATORS , THE C-RONALDOS MOURINHOS MESSI’s go to HIDE THEIR WEALTH AND AVOID PAYING TAX Hope when FG goes after them the way the Spanish government went after Cronaldo/Messi/Mourinho/alonso etc y’all won’t complain sha Tax evasion is a serious crime |

franchasng: You dont have any point. In a multi tribal nation like Nigeria, for peace, equity, fairness and unity, Presidency should be rotated among the major tribes not just region.
Presidency in a multitribal nation like Nigeria should not be based on who helped the incumbent President to win the election, that's if we truly desire a united and just nation that will give us peace, unity, togetherness and common prosperity.
That Tinubu helped in making Buhari President in 2015 should never be a yardstick to make him President, if we follow that route, crooks and moneybags will colonize Nigeria's Presidency and it will lead this nation to doom.
On issue of Northeast, we are not talking just about geopolitical regions but about major tribes to bring unity and togetherness.
Northeast and Northwest are almost the same people, habited by same tribes; Hausa-Fulanis, and other tribes.
So when you mention Northwest it includes Northeast when it comes to tribes.
But down south, we have 3 major tribes, Igbos, Yorubas and others. Only Igbos are yet to smell that seat among the major stakeholders in the South.
Stop being politically smart always, not good in a multitribal and multicultural nation like Nigeria.
Go and listen to that man's interview and others like him.
We are talking about unity, peace, brotherliness not just your usual cunning politics of who makes the highest stake. Tinubu has a dream to become president and has worked for it since 1999 by building alliances and not waiting for it to fall on his lap If today we say let an Igbo man be president then name Igbo politicians who have made friends and alliances across borders? Who can successfully come onto the ballot on the strength of his name not “it’s igbos turn” So when will it be a Bini man’s turn? An efik man’s turn? An ebira man’s turn? Because if we are to look at “equity” an Ijaw man should not aspire to that position (if zoned to SS) until a sizable number of “other tribes” in the SS has reached there too? We cannot be rotating Nigeria’s presidency based on majority tribe it cannot work cos that will mean SE is happy to oppress other tribes but complaining their mates (major tribes) are oppressing them? Like I said earlier a north-south sharing is the best and when it reaches a region it should be political and by political I mean influence. The man (ebunola) is free to speak his mind and I love his opinion ... it means he is open to voting an Igbo man come 2023 and that is the beauty of democracy Now let an Igbo man clinch a ticket and run simple But you cannot tell the APC where Tinubu and his alliances worked to elect Buhari so that in 2023 buhari and his alliances can support him to then jettison his “hard work” in the interest of “brotherliness”? It’s a very crude way of thinking Like I stated earlier ... politics is about alliances so let the igbo politicians build alliances with a view to clinching the ticket. Recently Ohaneze claimed APC plan was to rig Anambra elections via state of emergency... is that a good political move? At a time when you’re also “hoping” the same party zones their ticket to SE? My guy “man by nature is a political animal” and the SE has not done enough politically to make anyone “intra zone” it to them... no gifts in politics. Simple |
