You dont have any point. In a multi tribal nation like Nigeria, for peace, equity, fairness and unity, Presidency should be rotated among the major tribes not just region.


Presidency in a multitribal nation like Nigeria should not be based on who helped the incumbent President to win the election, that's if we truly desire a united and just nation that will give us peace, unity, togetherness and common prosperity.


That Tinubu helped in making Buhari President in 2015 should never be a yardstick to make him President, if we follow that route, crooks and moneybags will colonize Nigeria's Presidency and it will lead this nation to doom.


On issue of Northeast, we are not talking just about geopolitical regions but about major tribes to bring unity and togetherness.

Northeast and Northwest are almost the same people, habited by same tribes; Hausa-Fulanis, and other tribes.


So when you mention Northwest it includes Northeast when it comes to tribes.


But down south, we have 3 major tribes, Igbos, Yorubas and others. Only Igbos are yet to smell that seat among the major stakeholders in the South.



Stop being politically smart always, not good in a multitribal and multicultural nation like Nigeria.


Go and listen to that man's interview and others like him.



We are talking about unity, peace, brotherliness not just your usual cunning politics of who makes the highest stake.

Tinubu has a dream to become president and has worked for it since 1999 by building alliances and not waiting for it to fall on his lap

If today we say let an Igbo man be president then name Igbo politicians who have made friends and alliances across borders? Who can successfully come onto the ballot on the strength of his name not “it’s igbos turn”

So when will it be a Bini man’s turn? An efik man’s turn? An ebira man’s turn? We cannot be rotating Nigeria’s presidency based on majority tribe it cannot work

Like I said earlier a north south sharing is the best and when it reaches a region it should be political and by political I mean influence.

The man (ebunola) is free to speak his mind and I love his opinion ... it means he is open to voting an Igbo man come 2023 and that is the beauty of democracy

Now let an Igbo man clinch a ticket and run simple

But you cannot tell the APC where Tinubu and his alliances worked to elect Buhari so that in 2023 buhari and his alliances can support him then jettison his “hard work” in the interest of “brotherliness”? It’s a very crude way of thinking

If you take a look at it, the only major tribe who have a major stake in Nigeria that is yet to touch that Presidential seat is Igbo, so I believe 2023 should be handed over to them for equity, fairness and unity of this country.


Igbos deserve to lead this country. Nobody should tell me that in the whole Southeast, there is no capable hand that all Nigerians can trust to become the President in 2023, there are so many of them, we should give them the chance. This is my personal opinion and the right and honorable thing to do.


If I am Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he is my mentor, my boss, but I will advice him not to run for Presidency in 2023 but throw his full weight behind an Igbo Presidential candidate. This is what I expect from Bola Tinubu my mentor

Why?

1- besides south East , the north east and north central are yet to produce presidents ( yes or no? So if we are looking at geo-zones then that south east deserves is crap.

2- if we only to look at the south then arguing for south east presidency would be like a parent rewarding their son who failed his school exams with a brand new car - because politics is a school and it’s exam are in the form of elections - Jonathan was a sinking ship and rather than spread the risks by pitching their tent firmly in APC/PDP over 98% of their big wigs stuck to PDP and infact labeled APC a sharia party- remember?

3- politics is about alliances and promises , the SW has a firm interest in the ruling party because 98% of their big wigs are there promises had been made by their northern colleagues for SW support and they delivered -please note that the FIRST ALLIANCE IN THIS COUNTRY was between Igbos and Hausa/Fulani/northerners (Azikiwe and the sardauna’s parties) and the west HONOURABLY went into opposition. That’s politics.

So now it has been agreed presidency is coming to the north , you cannot tell a man with a dream with time not on his side to quash that dream in the interest of “fairness”- fairness has no place in politics and fairness is a very backward word...

Let the igbo politicians try to form alliances and see how they can perform well - if they don’t win then go back to the drawing board.
