*its been there for like 2 days now
*its neither after sex nor after shaving
*I've experienced it once and it left on its own
*its on the right side
*no itching
*I feel slight pain when I touch it
*its just one
*ulceration
No other complaints
Okay, it is really not a problem. A simple homeopathic product such as Visita Plus( a lotion) is okay and should be applied after bath. A warm press on the boil too can help it ridded off quickly too. Before one week you should be fine.
See doctor if symptoms continues or follow. Read drug leaflet before use.

How much blood u dey commot 4-7 days wey go make you die before? Blood wey no fit fill one tea spoon? Moreover na residual blood from unfertilised ova , no be the main blood from your system be that..
A mere ignorance at display here. And this showed you may not be a female by sex.
Unfertilized ovum pass out quickly without spermatic activation, the medulla of the each follicle is not enough to cause menstruation and in actual fact goes atretic with the cortical aspect of that unfertilized egg.
Menstruation is systemic as it comes from the desquamation of the uterine lining following changes to hormones regulating her cycle.
Except an adult female has problem with her cycle, a normal period should be able to fill a tea spoon hundred of times. And as a matter of fact, this causes all women to be at risk to suffer iron related anaemia than the males.
Lastly, it is better to have a teaspoonful menstruation than not to have any.

I actually post on behalf of a close friend, she is not a nairalander. She went to see a Doctor and was asked to do the test in his hospital but when the result came out, she was told to go see a gynecologist with the result. She is just eager to know what the result is, is it hormone problem or the test result is okay
She has not been seeing her menstruation for some months now and she is not pregnant
The result is far from okay. It implicated a high blood thyroid hormone which can necessitate to one having problem with one's menstrual cycle and fertility stability. Her lost of menstrual experience before now could have resulted in the LH and FSH as written too . Clues as regarding her estrogen and progesterone not presented may have been necessary to confirm an hormonal imbalance.

folly22:
Please can Doctors help me interpret this result
You may confirm a hyperthyroidism going in for a proper Thyroid hormone profiling. An existing high level of an inactive thyroid hormone may eventually turn active on peripheral. This is why you really have to know your T3 and as well those ones causing stimulation of the thyroid gland itself.
Aside this,it is predictable that during the time this analysis was done you might not have seen your ovulation as affirmed by records from your LH and FSH. Your not having profiling for your Ovarian hormones also severed other clues to helping affirmed other factors linked to this.

What do you want us to do for you?

hello Doc, am pregnant and I told a friend, unknown to me she gave me a drink with abortion pill and I have been bleeding since January, bt it's still stating that am pregnant and am bleeding as crazy up to 6 pads a day! please advise me on what to do, because I have tot of seeing a gynaecologist to remove it since its costing me too much pain!! thanks for understanding
How can you tell it was abortifacient that was placed in your drink?
Lost of six pads a day is dangerously serious for a growing pregnancy and I beckoned on you to see the gynecologist or a doctor immediately to see that the bleeding is stopped or by your permit have a proper abortion done. This is to avoid cases with anaemia or beyond which could lead to complication linking to shock.
For the now, eats fruits, vegetables, red meat, stay on folic acid, B12 and drink a lot of fluid for body fluid replacement.

OtunbaBlack.

You don't need a detox for this. These are mere side kicks on using the drug and will wear out soon on stopping the medication. It could have been that the NSAIDs added to it results in slowing it metabolism and so lasted above measures. Kindly, seek another medication to assist in the purpose to which it was used and if same symptoms continue report to the Dentist that had the tooth removed or a medical doctor with your medical history in view.

Hello doc what is the treatment for hyperthyroidism?
You may seek the present treatment outflow from a trained Endocrinologist or even a surgeon but if I ever choose to treat any with hyperthyroidism, I would follow a treatment flowchart as this:
1. Diagnosis: This will encroach into learning the signs and symptoms of a person susceptible to an overactive thyroid disease. A physical examination may be necessary.

2. Cause of disease: I will require all benchmark diagnostics investigation to confirm a cause to the overacting thyroid. Perhaps, this will lead to knowing the cause for it.

3. Treatment: my treatment plan would be
a) to reduce thyroid function: this will require I prescribe the most applicable medication(s) to work down the thyroid ability to keep uploading the blood with its hormone. Available treatment regarding this may entertain the use of anti-hyperthyroidic agents and radioactive iodines.
b) Surgery: should medications prove worthless or probably allergy from using any of my medications.
c) Treatment for aside symptoms: I may potentiate or synergise my antithyroid medications with drug that could help reduce symptoms caused by being excessively thyroidic e.g. I may choose to prescribe something to reduce hypertension( since high thyroid activities can cause raise in blood pressure) or dopaminergics( for a female having high prolactin).
d) Lifestyle alteration: I will advice on a lifestyle alteration that will improve on my patient impending health condition.
e) Management: This should continue for at least 3-6months till I see good degree of improvement.

Hello doctor, am pregnant (early stage) but have multiple fibroid(intramural and subserous).
I 've had 3 miscarriages , feeling vaginal cramps on and off and feeling constipated.pls help me out.I don't want to loose this one .
Early pregnancy with a multiple fibroid is not a goodnews for someone having a history of miscarriages. An increase estrogen surge during early pregnancy often implicate in waking up dormant uterine mass. Yet, the size matters and location as well.
What are the respective sizes of each mass?
If the size of the mass is not changing then, there is a chance of your not losing this pregnancy. This will require a close monitoring by doctor though.
Both constipation and vaginal cramps are normal in pregnancy. They could also be fibroid-induced.. However, they are not merely symptoms mostly with frequent loss in pregnancy. If these symptoms have gone on for long kindly draw your doctor's attention to it so that these difficulties should be well addressed.

Yes. I have history of headache and migraine for abt 8 yes now but they don't last more than 12-24 hrs . then I use optalidol or ibuprofen for it but now I only manage PCM because of the baby.

This present one started on Wednesday after a stressful journey and about two hours of standing in a bank. So I thought it will clear the next day but alas, its still here.

It started with severe concentration on the right side of the head just above the eye region, then, it rotate from that position to another. Presently on the left hand side.
With an history of migraine travelling could have been hinged on deferral, something you should have taken note of if you had bothered discussing it out with your doctor before this time.
The former directives remains the same and I advice you follow as guided. During this period:-
1. No beverages
2. Drink plenty of water
3. Take fruits like watermelon, pawpaw, soursop
5. Little bean food and no bread.
6. Avoid too much exposure of eyes to bright lights.
7. Enjoy plenty of rest and sleep.
8. Remain on your paracetamol(extra) for the time being until proper cause or trigger is investigated.

FTM. 27wks gone in my mid thirties
Any history of intermittent headache and migraine before pregnancy?
If any kindly discus this with your doctor. He may suggest ways to handle this problem.

Stress!
Largely enough this is not what any of us can run from. This can affect hormone distribution in pregnancy and often come to be most causes of headache in pregnancy. You have got to manage your stress this time around. Kindly observe where you are having much stress -work, lack of home support, psychic, environmental instability, mood swing , etc.
Take a chill and relax you. Play cool lovely songs and sleep when you should.
It is also commendable to avoid standing too much or walking for a long time especially on high heel shoes. However, one or two streetwalk can ease this burden to some degree. So, exercise your body yo give away your mind from your body to free your soul.

Poor blood sugar and/or high blood pressure.
The brain need food in the form of sugar to function. Lack of it can be a sign of a serious problem often showing as headache. You may need to have your blood sugar checked, or probably discus this with the doctor.
Check your blood pressure too, a urine protein analysis may be necessary.

For management:
Kindly avoid
1. Caffeinated teas
2. Alcohol
3. Yoghurt

Lastly, you should continue with your paracetamol medication to manage your headache while you wait on your next visit.

His Sugar level fluctuates between 284 - 410(fasting and 2hrs meals), blood pressure is within 140- 187 fluctuates as well.
When I say fluctuates I mean it has gone above or below those ranges.
He's 57 , he had a history with diabetes when he was poisoned at india then his sugar level perked as high as 900...

PLEASE IF YOU HAVE AN HISTORY OR EXPERIENCE ABOUT SIMILAR SITUATION PLEASE SHARE REMEDIES PRACTICAL ONES AND HOPEFULLY COST EFFECTIVE ,

Has he checked for blood cholestero(LDL) level?

Hi doc, lately my left eye has been producing mucus and i find it difficult to check my phone at night with the lowest brightness I feel pain and also I find it difficult opening the eye to rays of light. I used CHLORAMPHENICOL eye drops but it not working at all. Please what what I use. Thanks
Please seek help from the local medical center around.
It may be inflammation with your conjunctiva either from an unsubstantial allergen, bacterial or viral.
What is the color of the mucus? What is the color of eyeball?
There is also a possibility it could be Stye and may delimit by itself or rather an infection of the gland secreting mucus substances of the eyes in an exclusively different outcome.
For the now, avoid further exposure of that eye to the eyedrop that is not effective enough. Avoid rubbing the eyes with a bare hand. Clean the eyes with a clean handkerchief if you choose too. Warm bath of the eye is advisable.

If you walk into any pharmacy store ,they might recommend something. But it's not advisable to take any pills to get fat. Every drug has its side effect.
Why not think of other options like increasing your caloric intake by 500 to 1000 calories per day. It will help you gain more pounds.
Eat more carbs like pounded yam, Fufu, eba with alot of soup.
Do not drink water before meals. It will help you eat more.
Milo and milk will help you gain weight. Especially when you prepare it to be very thick and consume before going to bed.
Snack inbetween meals. Take alot of yogurt.
But know that people come in all shapes and sizes. And our genetic makeup plays a big role on our weight. It might just be that you are naturally destined to be slim.
What pills precisely?
Whatever you think is good enough to cause a gain in weight is nothing clearcut from an advantageous use of its side-effects. This gain of weight is not reliable and in most cases cause alteration in the body systematics or operation.
For example, I wouldn't want to prescribe an antihypertensive to someone seeking a weight gain all because in the long run using of it(drug) can cause him to gain weight. That is not the essence of any of the anti hypertensive, so I will never do that.
Okay, what about drugs to reduce the thyroid activities (hyperthyroidism), having the knowledge that the thyroid gland is the main stigma of metabolism in the bod, it would have been this simple to prescribe something to affect its metabolism. This will cause a fall in the breakdown of fat and glucose and then protein. This definitely will cause a gain in body weight. But I won't prescribe any of such drug because this will expose the seeker to a more dicey situation. And so the use of Corticosteroid and why it shouldn't be prescribe, in fact so many and then the endless reason why you shouldn't.
Now, it is enough to attend to such people from psychological view, view on social and occupational medicine, dietetics, disease conditions etc.

The rest of your discourse is agreed by me as a furtherance to all I have said regarding calorie expenditure and gain.
