But some americanas here talk say dem no dey block road for president in yankee. This one nko? Dem even locked down the whole town for person wey dem never swear in or na swear for sef |
Who drove the car - the VC or a driver? If the VC didn't personally drive the car, how will the union prove that the action was deliberate. |
kedeojo:Politics is not this simple. In 2012, Tinubu's candidate (Akeredolu) lost to Mimiko. In 2015, Mimiko as a siting PDP governor couldn't deliver the state to Jonathan as GEJ was dusted by Buhari in ondo state. Two weeks after the presidential election, the same pdp that lost the presidential election in ondo cleared 21 out of 26 house of Assembly seats in the same state. Always remembered that Akeredolu had been with Tinubu longer than with Buhari. Who would have predicted that Fayose will now be so cosy with Tinubu so much so that it was reported by Thisday that they were exchanging friendly phone conversations to the hearing of other governors. Don't be surprised if Fayose is the arrowhead of Tinubu faction in Ekiti in the lead up to 2019 election. Contrary to your assertion on SP candidacy, Lawan wasn't Tinubu choice but that of Buhari. Even though that time, Buhari didn't want to show his hand, so Tinubu abandoned his own candidate (akume) to spearhead lawan candidacy on behalf of the party and thus carried the can when the project failed. El-rufai alluded to this fact in his response to Atiku's accusations recently. |
Oviconji:When Nzeribe sabotaged his party (sdp) presidential candidate in 1993, he was typical what? All you these political analysts wannabes wrongly think politicians don't have individual interest to protect. |
Akeredolu is from Owo area. What result do you expect? |
FSBoperator:For your (and other ignorant fellows) information, Jimoh Ibrahim is a strong Christian |
@OP. Regarding the Cons stated for Owerri. What is the effect of indecency and 'women of easy virtue' on property value? We are not talking of Vatican City or Mecca here now? |
shhladyj:The silver jubilee-kofar nassarawa-Ibrahim Taiwo roads flyover in Kano was reported to be the longest in west Africa until this news report. It is 1.76km long. The second one still under construction on murtala Mohammed road also in kano is 1.9km long. The length of the one in Accra is not given but definitely wider (6 lanes) than that of Kano. The President called it the highest, but is it higher than Ijora-Apapa flyover? The daylight pictures of Accra and kano flyovers below

stagger:That year of "Afin ki riran osan, baalu baalu ni tadan". RIP Baba eleeran. RIP Fawole |
Almand:The Obama campaign organization itself denounced the fund raising championed by Okereke (the NSE DG) then as unauthorized and dissociated itself from it |
RZArecta:Was there any allegation of Arabs or any foreigners funding her campaign through the Clinton Foundation? The allegation was that when she was the Secretary of State (a position she quited in 2012 long before her campaign), she was giving those that contributed big to the foundation privileged access to herself as Secretary of State. |
richidinho:As Lauretta said, it is good history has been reintroduced as a subject in Nigerian schools. Kerry didn't land in Sokoto, he landed in Abuja, met with Buhari in Abuja, and as part of his engagement also visited Sokoto. In his earlier visit in February 2015, Kerry landed in Lagos and restricted all his activities to Lagos. Jonathan as the sitting president then, had to fly from Abuja to Lagos to have a meeting with him. |
basilo102:Not a question of untouchability, but lack of discretion. Igbos taking on Hausas in Kano Very soon, Hausas in Onitsha will also be threatening the Igbos there. |
Why is he wearing sweater in 30C weather? |
OPCNAIRALAND:If it is not acceptable to Christians, how and why should it be passed? Muslims do not have 2/3rd majority in both houses of the National Assembly. Also note that it is a constitutional amendment not just ordinary law, which means in addition to National Assembly, 24 states houses of assembly must concur. There are only 19 states in the north including middle belt |
Southerners just like shouting inconsequentially just because they have access to social media Pray, what do you want the VP to do to a private bill presented by a member for consideration at the National Assembly? Even if a Christian were to be the sitting president, what can he do at this stage? There are 58 senators from the North and not all of them are Muslims. It requires 82 senators, 240 representatives and 24 states houses of Assembly to amend the constitution to make sharia applicable compulsorily throughout the federation. What are Christian legislators you people voted doing for it to be possible? And you are expecting Osinbajo to jump to the National Assembly to fight against a private bill? Were Ekweremadu, Adeyeye, Akpabio, Olujimi and other Christian principal officers in the Senate sleeping when the bill was scheduled for deliberation? Instead of you people to hold your so-called representatives in the legislature accountable, you are misplacing aggression. |
logicab:By your illogical reasoning, if only a few Supreme Court justices have been accused of corruption, how would the specific bribe for them be paid into a pool account that all other justices and staff have access to? Oh I got it now, I want to bribe Justice A with N1billion, I pay into Supreme Court joint account and write to the CJN that the money is meant for Justice A. Yet the CJN and other justices are not brought in for corruption |
@OP, what is this senseless news you copied about? These two people were nominated since July 21 and their nominations sent to Senate for approval. On October 18, Senate voted for their confirmation. Why is it being reported as if they are newly appointed? The only news here is that the CJN will swear them in on Monday. See the previous threads on this https://www.nairaland.com/3241122/buhari-nominates-eko-augie-supreme https://www.nairaland.com/3414911/senate-confirms-ejembi-eko-amina |
Geniro: edebemba:At least we have some discerning minds here. Imagine shooting themselves in the foot. May be they will now claim that bribe monies were first pooled into that account for the judges to share. |
ArabMopol:Oduduwa empire relies on a 91 year old to stand ![]() |
OP you tried but some of your historical accounts are not correct. When naira notes were introduced in 1973, they didn't have portraits of national heros and there was no N20. All have the picture of the old cbn building at Tinubu square. The first naira note to have a portrait was N20 which was introduced in 1977 with Murtala Mohammed picture. The N1, N5 and N10 notes with portraits were introduced in 1979 and they were not in the colours you posted. Those with the colours you posted were the 1984 version introduced by Buhari/Idiagbon regime when they juxtaposed the naira colours. |
What are people commenting here? The lawyer's clients wrote a petition alleging that the judges (before whom he was pleading their case) had been bribed by opponents without his foreknowledge. The judges took it on him in the open court in the belief that he must have known about the petition. He protested there and followed it up with withdrawal of his services. What has he done professionally wrong? Don't you think that his clients have complicated his work for him? |
Oyegun should realise the timeline for forming APC. APC was formed in February 2013 and officially registered by Inec in July 2013. Its membership received a big boost when some pdp governors and legislators joined it in November 2013. Even with the novelty of the political realignment and relative economic prosperity of that time, it won the presidency within 2 years of its formation and less than one and a half years of its being registered. We still have over two years before the next general elections. |
loomer:Even though she had already been promoted as a lead actress in the trailer for the series - Sons of the Caliphate on Ebony Life television before her expulsion from Kannywood, I only took note of her when the series eventually started because of the expulsion news. I think she is good and will go far in Nollywood, and with proper brush-up and mentoring by stars, may break into the Hollywood. |
Jacko1:Like these.... .
|
TroubleMaker47:But nobody died. I thought it was a case of attempted murder |
MrHenshaw:You don't get it. A surgical operation was done on the baby when the pregnancy was about 5 months to remove a tumor. The baby was thereafter returned to the mother's womb who carried the pregnancy to 9 months after which she was delivered by another operation. Thus the baby was technically born twice. |
So our National Assembly passed resolutions demanding the release of the 28 Nigerian students based on what? Don't we have an embassy there to provide verifiable information to our government? |
Tyche:Be contented with The Revelation |
In Nigeria, she would have flown in presidential jet from Lagos to Ibadan, here she is catching Eurostar train from London to Belgium like any other persons. Why do we so worship people in power in the third world? |
This has been in use as commercial transport/tourist bus in Dubai for long. Google wonder bus in dubai |
Okuronmu fought for the political leadership of Yorubas with Tinubu and he was dusted hence the sour grapes Okuronmu is talking about principle. Between him and Tinubu who has it? In 2003, he was one of the leaders of AD that sold out to PDP and AD lost all the governorship seats it won in 1999 to PDP except Lagos where Tinubu rebelled. That was the beginning of the downfall of Okuronmu and his afenifere cohorts and the rise of Tinubu In 2015, Okuronmu professed to still be in AD but because of his closeness with GEJ, he wanted APC members to vote for PDP. Is that a principled person? Of course, PDP members in SW rightly voted for GEJ but it would be a betrayal for Tinubu to have jettisoned his own party candidate for an opposing candidate. Okuronmu talking bad about Tinubu is not unexpected, afterall how will Chris and Andy Uba speak about Peter Obi. |
what does she say about the Arabs supporting Hillary Clinton's campaign through funds sent to her foundation ? Are they American citizens too ? Lauretta is a geriatric idíot
Very soon, Hausas in Onitsha will also be threatening the Igbos there.
