Tinyemeka: Now this is downright insulting and immoral. I've lost whatever iota of recognition I may have had for Sahara Reporters.True, but why is just appendis taking so long to recover from? At least let's used that since every othe newspaper had it in their Headline. |
FISAYOADEX: You are very stupid for vomiting all this junk about the president of the federal republic of Nigeria. God will judge every idle words.and what will God do to same Jonathan who said 'He does not give damn and that terrorism or bomb explosion happens everywhere'? What has he done since he became president? You better be thankful to your own God that you are still alive. |
Mabelly, please modify that post with various member's post. Turn d @ to [at] in order to prevent email scraper from getting those emails. That's how you scam emails |

timmy: Not sure if anyone as said this in previous posts..And this has been going on since the beginning of the so called democracy. |
kunle.t.ade:That's the new world order. There are alot of things going in there that we do not know. You read my mind. The truth is that this country is far from being one or peaceful. I just can't wait to get out of this con3. |

cedaraustine:I wish you good luck on waiting for the tip. I hope you don't grow white beards. I call a spade a spade. She did that in the "Total Thread" which you referred to. Good luck! |
silicongate: do really need to make money, do really want to make people make ton of million of dollars for you. then come on boardsilicongate, are u born of a woman or an animal... I presume the latter is the case because obviously, you act like them. Brainless clumsy he-goat! Stop derailing this thread or you will have your account banned and tell your bedridden clowns as followers to do the same. |
udemzy_udex: Its either u tell him or u forget it,we are here to help each other..Shout? Did I read that right? When did written words learn to vocalise? |
AjanleKoko: Scape-goating.I no use anybody as scape-goatty o o o. hia! ANyway, this na last time on this topic. off to business section! care to join me? The door is wide opened. |
arbitrage: I repeat, he may not need a credit card as he may not even be creditworthy in the first place. More so, very few banks issue credit card in nigeria and usually naira credit card, which may be limited on foreign sites. But a good debit or prepaid card will be okay for d poster whether naira denominated like uba africard, etc or dollar denominated like payoneer mastercard u mentioned or gtb dollar card, etc especially if issued by usa bank. He doesnt necessarily needs a credit card.Legalwealth, there is a difference between credit card and debit card. With the former you can by things on credit and that's why it is called "credit card" that means even if you don't have money on your card, you can pay for product and services. But it's dangerous for a spend thrift to own one. What you ,leggy, is a debit card. |
cedaraustine: i get our point though laughing along as i read, she has given me my due of respect when she stopped exchanging words with Bludeville when i requested... i acknowledge the fact that she knows her turf and wanted tips besides i was trying to break up the tension with regards to "an" or "a" HR person, trying to give the topic life(basically)...she's not as bad as the image you painted,it's just her temperament ..try and understand...I understand it's her temperament... And to be frank, I respect women who are self-dependent and are confident. She exude that but over doing certain things would make people perceive you in a bad image. Imagine here, someone already classified her as a snob. Why? Attitude is everything. No matter her position in life, she doesn't know everything. But she seem to portray herself as one that does. I am not saying I need a tip by force o, time is money. If she choose not to share her knowledge, so be it. I could find articles on the internet to guide me. I am not one of those that were fortunate to attend the best schools you find around, but due to curiousity, taste for knowledge and self dependence, I developed myself, at least to an acceptable level. So, basically, I aint forcing her to give any tip. But here is someone who complain often about graduates produced by our institutions. Albeit, she is better than they. My question is, what in her own effort has she done to correct that? The answer is right under your nose. Oh... The Beautiful Ones Are Not Yet Born. Now you say she is not as bad as I painted it... I didn't say she is either... And, again, attitude is everything. Imagine her calling someone whom she has NEVER met in real life "jobless" Bro, being educated isn't just about putting words together to form strings of sentences. It goes beyond that. Would she say she made it all by her own efforts? No man is island. Someone, somewhere, directly or indirectly sacrificed his/her time in helping her. Why doesn't she show that gratitude by doing the same? Honestly, when I saw that headline, I felt that I could learn a thing or two. Alas! The opposite is the case. And she even said the person is better off riding 'okada'. I would want to say that she seem to take pleasure in seeing that people are unemployed. I belong to an international forum where mostly Americans and other nationals hang out. Do you know what I learnt from this folks in my two years of being a member there? There is power in sharing knowledge, no wonder they are developed and we are UNDER-developed. Here in this fvcked up country when you give some people an inche, they take a mile. They play 'god'. Well, it's her time and let her enjoy it while it last. P.S BlueDIVA, I no hate you o. We are all entitled to our opinions and I just gave mine. Peace! |
Legalwealth, omo e no easy o. I have working and trying to optimise my sale. It's now on auction. Let's see how things pan out. Everything is still a test. |
Duke_Nija: The Melancholic Temperament.Gosh! Let's say 80% of what you discribed here is me. *Giggles* and ummm... About the forgiving thing, you are right. I don't know though but I would prefer you stab me with a knife than play on my intelligence. Gosh! I hate it when some does that to me. Some dangerous thought would just stream through my mind. Man, my ex was lucky and I must say very lucky because I wondered what I could have done when I realised that she played on my intelligence, cheat, exploit etc. Yeah... People tend to perceive us as dummy. That's where they are wrong. I could tell when someone is acting foolish by trying to be smart on me and as you rightly pointed out, I often allow them do what they want and like you said, I laugh inside saying (see this small pikin o). I am quite slow in making decision too but it's usually for a reason. I ask myself, what will be the effect of what I want to do in years to come. Yup... I dey love die o. Ummm a little shy and a deep thinker. You try sha... |
cedaraustine: Blue Diva..plz dt allow dis thread 2 die..i remember one thread where pple became antagonistic and u went back to delete all ur post and discontinued posting der..plz any more tips for usGuy na wa 4u o. Are u begging for work? I know the thread you referring to and I also made it known to her that her that her intentions were right but her approach were wrong. C'mon, this is a forum for goodness sake where we can learn from each other. Despite being an HR person, how has that positively helped the average Nigerian? Well, her kind abound in Nigeria, the kinds that play 'god' just because the have been opportuned to be in a place. Either way, we don't know everything. Was it not her kind that came around and was helping to review people's CV and while stating areas that should be corrected? Abegi... |
Bludeville: That a person cant express his/herself properly in English, doesn't automatically exclude that such a person is indeed a genius. As a HR person, it is your Job to find out what Language a person truly speaks and engage/access him based on that. After all, it is not a crime to not speak English, especially if such a person was born and bred in a region where his/her mother tongue was predominantly spoken.I know a guy who is very good in mathematics but poor in spoken English. He is currently working for Total E&P. One of the question he was asked at the interview was, why did he fail English. He just told them the truth--he is from a poor background , a ghetto and they dont speak English at home. Gbam! The guy dey chop the oil money as I type this. |
AjanleKoko: Scape-goating.Meaning? |
BlueDiva, may I know why you so much duel on the negatives of people's personality when it comes to recruiting without proffering solution? I would expect someone of your caliber to be a role model in helping to pin point what and what is required of a job applicant, their weak points, how they can improve and stuffs like that. I do believe that going to school is a different ball game when compared to getting a job and as such, not much is said/taught about getting a job while we were in school. There was a member here who did help quite a lot of nairalanders reveiw their CV(I am not saying you should do the same o)and he/she did this for over 3 months and was well appreciated and God bless him/her. This is how we correct the system. |
Hello, house. Well, considering the little I know about BlueDiva, I have come to realise that she is quite harsh with words and at the same time VERY confident as if she knows it all and have 'arrived'. While there may be some element of truth in her various post, I think she still has to be diplomatic when dealing with people. There are ways to pass across messages without seeming too pompous. Also, she seem to look down on people and feels that those who are not her class deserve no attention from her. I remember in another thread where she was so quick to call 'someone she hasn't met in real life' jobless but wondered what she felt when the same person made her to understand that he works in an oil company in the UK. BlueDiva, inasmuch as I have respect you, should learn to be diplomatic with words. I have a friend whom, if you read some of his write-up, you will be swept off your feet. But the same person is not not so good with spoken words, I mean smoothly. He tend to stutter when speaking. I believe you will be quick to conclude that such a person lacks confident if you ever meet him in an interview. Anyway, Naija work na wah. |
cremeandchic: Well,if you are talking about my post then you are simply being unnecessarily paranoid.I AM NOT A SCAMMER.I'm a responsible and matured lady and not interested in scamming anyone.Na wa 4 u o. so u dont the difference between a spammer and a relevant post? |
ALERT! It seems like our thread is about to be hi-jacked by low-life,bedridden, sick A55hole spammers and we must be ready for them. Please alway click on the report link directly below a partiicular post in order to have them deleted. |
hispinkolo: Thanks Rooney,Pacemaker..I feel your pain, but that is Nigeria and Nigerians for you. He probably thinks money grow on trees over there-- What some Nigerian think about ABROAD--a bed of roses. An uncle of mine was bragging that if he were overseas, he would do this and do that. Good a thing the elder sister manage to take him over there. Story changed. He could hardly pay his children's school fees... It is been over 10 years since he left and the story hasn't change. Why didn't he do the music career before you gave him the money if truely money is easy. He wat to be the next 2face Idibia or psquare? Only fools think that the music industry is easy, especially those who only started singing in their adulthood just because music is making money for others without considering the sacrifices those successes have made since they where kids. If I wanted to be a musician, I would have been since chilhood. I got sonorous vice for singing R&B, blues but I would rather use that to praise my God. I remember as a child about age 10, one man approached me and he wanted to use me for his song. But some how, I never took it seriously. Anyway thats just me. I understand how you feel and I know your kind of woman. My mum was like that-- very zealous to do business but when she became old and couldnt do much, it made her sad. She was always complaining and wanting to do something instead of staying idle. Just relax and think of something. This time, let it be something with along trem life span then discuss it with your husband. Your husband may be upset probably because you do not tell him before giving out money to your relative and only tell him when it backfired. No man will like that. So take your time. If you are in the UK, look around for an idea and see what you can introduce it into the Nigerian market, do your market rearch, make a plan than follow it up with a system--a sysem is how you will operate the whole business to make it successful. Then FIRE! |
legalwealth: Haba!It is about meeting with like minds and discuss business ideas and then brainstorm on the most seemly viable then every party with contribute his or her resuorces for make the idea a reality, but under one umbrella. I bought those domain names yesterday. |
legalwealth: You've tried...Legalwealth, I got the domain names yesterday... yeepeee e haaaaa! |
Pacemaker: You are not alone in the department of distrust. I have tried helping relatives and friends back home but they have proved to me multiple times that their incompetents and greed is their birth mark that no matter what happens it can never be erased.Listen to your hubby and If you would like to do biz in naija, your presence matters a whole lot. Best wishes on your exams!!!Pacemaker, thanks for letting her know that. Infact, I think I may have lost my sanity the day I will give a person to run my business for me. My aunt did the same back in the late 90s in 2000s. She gave a school teacher her house, bike, land, and buses to manage for her while she was and only for the guy to build his own out of that. So many of such stories abound in Nigeria and that's why some people surffer at one point in their life because Karmar is real. I know of a guy who was in 419 and when it was time for him to settle down, he traveled out of Naija and it wasnt long before he got an unidentified ailment. He had to come back and he eventually died in Naija. There was also another who had over 50 bikes but lost everything. Some years down the, he was walking and fell to the ground. They rushed to the hospital and he died a few days later. Karmer is real but again, God said: My people perish for lack of knowledge. |
