stpat1: Well your opinion on holding the meeting in VI is well noted but I'll prefer we leave that to mabelly to vet the submitted forms and the meeting should be held where the proximity is closest to the majority.eg, It won't make sense if VI is chosen as the venue with only 2 members from there while you have over 50 members from the mainland. So over to you mabelly.
I concur with stpat1 in this case, proximity should be the watch word wherein it serve each participant approximately equally.

edelweiss: My advise to u is to do any legitimate job available to raise capital,no matter how small the salary is, many of us don't have people to help us raise capital for business, the banks wants çolletleral,so all road seemed block but I for one know the is always a way,and being female who VOWED 2 ave things straight I planned a few thing.I graduated wit a 2'1 Unical biz mgt, lookd 4 a job for almost a yr,but I decided to take a 25k job, while at d job, my first salary, I went to trade fair and told d owner of a perfume shop that I want to trade with 20k, I was given 4 5oml perfumes, which I ended up selling for like 7k each by the end of the next month I had up to 60k, I kept puting my little salary into my business'in six month I was worth more than half a million,(sincerely speaking all the money was from the perfume sales and salary)I was going to work one day I saw a shop at a bustop I stoped by and told them I wil come pay for the shop at d end of the day,I got dat shop with no exact tin in mind to sell, after I got the shop,I looked round d neighbourhood and asked myself what could I supply d area? That is how I started selling wine and spirit, I employed a sales girl, I know my stock taking'I was still working still selling my perfumes but my capital was diversify so I tot of how to make more money,I decided to ave a sales promo 'which was buy 5 100ml perfume or introduce me to people to buy it and get one free. Come and see girl friends scotting for people to buy my perfume, I enlarged my clientele, after dat promo boom I entered selling shirts along side it, today I tell u at 31, with just 25k salary I own dis business and a few I didn't mention and d natural law of money set in,I ave got anoda job in an international firm, all thru d connections of my client! Blackbody20: Fashola is really a great thinker judging through his innovations. This is what we need in every state of the federation. Most of leaders lack concepts and idea on what good governance is all about. SMH.
That is because , they( other gov.) dont read. A reader knows how to think and keep pace with the world... all they know how to do is how embessle money.

Now because they are not readers, they think they are really making money... but I tell you,if the had a good head on their shoulders, they will know that what they have stolen is nothing....

Put the right technoloy, innovation, system, product and display brilliance and watch money pouring like rain.

the oil we sell out are being broken down in to more products and sold far over 100% of the cost... why? this men have got the right knowledge.

our so called leaders are too old fashioned... I remember watching Obasanjo slowly typing on a laptop like a nail walking... but if na to steal, that hand will run faster Usein Bolt.. angry angry angry

Sun of god: Sounds like you've spent too much time in Lagos.

I always recommend Igbo's in Lagos visit their states of origin at least once every 2 years or they start to go mad and think they are yoruba's.

There is nothing more embarrasing than seeing an Igbo man who cant speak Igbo but can blow yoruba with the best of them.

It's like seeing a dog that thinks its now a cat - An Igbo man who thinks he's youruba.
.

And how does being able to speak igbo make you a right thinking person? I am igbo and dont speak either not because I didnt want to visit or anything but my mum has always kept me away for fear of being killed because I am a male child of my father who happened to have another wife and had no male child...

It is really surprising that speaking igbo is seen as a yardstick for measuring brilliance...

That not withstanding, I have come respect the igbos for the unionism and brotherhood. I was raised in a Bini family but that does not make me any less a man.

The OP has spoken well and I agree with him 100%. Kick tribalism and sentiment to the curb, call a spade a spade and hit nail on the head.

To be honest,I find your statements really disappointing and embarrassing considering it is coming from someone who speaks igbo, a language for only the intelligent and smart. lol

mayowaeh: Our security personnel in Nigeria behave as they are not part of the society whenever they are attached to politicians .
bro, don't blame them, but the system. If they are sacked, will you provide job for them? And if were in their shoes, you may likely do much worse. This Nigeria.

But one thing I keep saying is that one day, the same problem they don't want to solve will bring blood shed to their door.

I remember Sanusi stating this in a speech delivered at the silver AGM or so. He said if these leaders don't do what they are to do, they will be surprised to see their children being killed, bombed and so on. He said so many things along that line and I believe it will happen. When he finished, there was a cold hush that engulfed the room. I respected that man that day.

It may not be soon but we are getting there... Nobody likes to be pushed to wall, but when you are pused to wall, you have no choice but to fight back...

I am sorry for these leaders and their innocent children. A lot of them may run and never return and even if they did return, it wouldn't make any difference.

Did anyone ever thought that Ghana will ever be what it is today? I doubt.

Sam Milla: Diamond bank haa been doing that since 2009
That's where they are stupidly failing--lack of publicity. How could you have a product and not many people know about it? I bank with GTB,UBA and DIAMOND and GTB is definitely my choice if I wish to upgrade my banking.

But if na to dey collect 100 for ATM monthly use, dem dey carry 1st, something GTB don't do.

hmmm... You remind me of my mum(late). My elder sister has taken after her. In trying times, I have to be a motivator automatically without learn it. I would often paint a mental picture of a better future and make her appreciate brighter side of life and my sister has been appreciating what I do. There's nothing infusing life, strength, hope and courage into people just to make them mentally healthy.

Biggyd2: But seriously, all these people that abuse Nigeria and all Nigerians because of one incident, are they Nigerians themselves? Do their parents come from Nigeria? When you generalize when throwing such insults, does it make you superior to other Nigerians? Is it so difficult to address the topic or whoever you are referring to instead of such hasty generalizations? If we do this, it will go a long way in reducing the hate that we see in so many threads, this one inclusive. undecided
Leave those clown alone as if the country in which they reside has accepted them fully. I remember somebody saying God bless America and so I asked him doesnt God also bless Nigeria, he said NO... that Nigeria is this and that.

Alas! when it was time the same America kicked him out and he headed to Canada.
