Nairaland GeneralSeun, This Is Unprofessional! by 2sexy(op): 9:15am On Sep 16, 2012
Happy Sunday, Seun.
I have just read your thread for advert placement.

However, I will like intimate you with something I felt uneasy with when I read that thread.

Nairaland was not born yesterday and shouldn't be treated so at this stage or age of her existence.

I think it is unprofessional and disappointing that a forum as big as nairaland would request that people should send emails to a gmail account. Why shouldn't it be :adverts@nairaland.com?

To be honest with you, this strikes me in disbelief.

Please do the needful and so that people will have confidence in doing business.

Another issue is that you close the thread almost instantly. What if people had questions to ask and wherein others could learn from your answers and avoid repeating the same question?
BusinessRe: Guys, Let's Talk Business by 2sexy(m): 9:09pm On Sep 15, 2012
Pacemaker: I have not come across this site before and reading through the thread I could tell most bloggers are Americans because they sound intelligent and honest. You are an intelligent Naija man, I wish I could do more to bring you out here so that you can explore your gifted talent. Information is growth, you seems to know a lot. Collaborate with guys that have same drive in Naija and then bring your knowledge to reality. I may need you in the near future.I am glad you are familiar with foreign blogs and not dependent on half baked information and individuals on nairaland(419).
You say collabo? Well, you know it's had to come by any one that operate at the same wavelength as honest as you can be.

I have only met one guy who share the same ideal as me and you know what? We have never met since 2008. We are just as close as twins from different mother. We call each other every now and then. I even called him today to wish him happy birthday. Thanks to facebook; we didn't even know what each of looked like.

He was the one I shared website flipping and he sold his first website at $399. He is the only one I trust.

Our greatest challenge has been finance.

There's even an idea I have that I know would bring me boat load of cash if highly targetted through the right medium and it can be expanded as well but I can share it.

One contacted me as if he wanted to get ebooks from me: you thought I would give him free since I once stated it here that I did share a link to download ebooks free but later deleted them.

In his email, he said he wouldnt mind paying for them since I had deleted them. I told him the cost.
And his last reply was that he would get in touch with me.

I said thank you as my reply. But I had this feelings that this guy had something up his sleeve. So I asked if he were really serious about buying the ebook or just picking brain.

Cunningly, he started saying something like starting up with N10 and that I will bring N5 and he will bring N5...

I wished him good luck in his search.

I wonder why people can't come up straight.

vivid gate: I think you concluded too fast, maybe those who downloaded them didn't know the value of what you gave to them and so who appreciate you.

Why not just give it and leave the rest.

Cheers
Then you take it up... I ain't giving anything FREE anymore and not on this forum.
BusinessRe: Your experiences with the UBA Naira Visa Africard by 2sexy(m): 5:03pm On Sep 15, 2012
Excelboi: I still don't get sometin clear. I got two of my Africarrd from two different UBA branch and I didn't pay a dime for the two. Now someone of this thread told me I will be billed for it on my first funding. How true?
Yes, if everyone paid, how would your case be an exception? And the way you ask this question is really funny. From the beginning of this thread where is it stated that you won't have to pay?

O boy load the card and pay your bill. It's just 750 if you are using the personalised card, a price for an mtn card.

How many people knows how to build a business.
myviewr: if it was a full time job that would be understandable, lets even be honest that nearly half a million naira a month for an which is highly unlikely which you know its true now this is, a freelance job where all you have to do is make a simple website just with the features of groups and events no chats no forums. he is likely going to use a cms. Now lets say he uses a cms he being a nigerian he would probably us wordpress and get a free buddy press and install it to the wordpress so really all he is doing is setting up the wordpress for me at 472,476 lets be honest is that reasonable. Now lets say he uses joomla and buys jomsocial which retails for 150 pounds which is nearly 25,000 naira that is still no where close to 472,476. This is the problem with NIgerians you never think ahead, just what can i eat now, how can i get this person to pay me this so i can take an extra 5 naira, Imagine nigerian would want you to pay before a work starts, you haven't done anything, but you want money your customer satisfaction rate is at -100. They drive of potential customers with their greed of just stealing 5,000 instead of them to be thinking if . Do this thing for one person and he is happy about it, nice rate he would recommend me to a friend. This is the part that annoys me the most, after doing all of that to their customers and they don't return, they start saying somebody is destroying their business. When they started doing it from the start they are took SELFISH everything they do is whats in it for me such a bad way of LIFE. LIKE IT OR NOT THIS IS THE BITTER TRUTH
ProgrammingRe: Tried To Hire A Programmer In Lagos Today He Told Me $100 A Day Or Forget by 2sexy(m):
myviewr: why are nigerians so money orientated $100 a day he is working with 4 other programmers on the back end of the web site and to doing it from scratch. This is why they find it hard to progress. with this kind of review i would tell my friends not to go there, they just work for money now and not even thinking about bringing in more customers forgetting word of mouth advertisement is the best #we need to change

Guys we could a thing or two from this and harness the same drive that fuelled what you see here- - -> http://www.startupnation.com/Could-We-Create-a-Business-Together/topic/

this is a forum built on the same ideals as we have done, a capacity that is capable of turning tiny dots into a huge mass.

To further create awareness for the website, we should approach campur press and let them write a review of the website. This will spread like wild fire... And trust student with their word of mouth publicity... Ko ko ko (sounds of gonk)

AmBeautiful: Aunty can angry
The first step to finding a solution is to admit you are stewpid and show some remorse.
From all I hv read so far, you are justifying urself and claiming you are the best.

And I think until you admit your stew-pidity and show some remorse in your typing, Nairalanders should refrain from giving u any advice.

I suspect you are lying and not telling us somethings,it took you for months to know he is nice and u now want him back.

Ok what were you doing during that four month period that u suddenly woke up?
Abeg stop lying joor?
Abi you think everybody is dumb?

undecided
may God bless you. She was f'cked and dumped in that 4months. Period! That's the life style of this kind of girls.

OP,trust me. If I were the guy, I would f'ck u and even use hand fisting on you to make yot toto never close again. B/AST/ARD!

chemashie: You should rather wake up not me, GTBANK now has a secure way of paying with a key holder like token. This is what i use on sites for payment or i use USA gift card issued to me by my shipping site. I fund my US gift card with GTBANK card. So, what are we saying here?
who told you I don't know? Is that not why the charge 3k just activate the card? Look, that's what is called branding in business and that's what you were sold on. Remember the good old days when people tied water in nylon and sold on the street at 1 naira? Someone branded it and now its 'pure water' and sold it at 5 naira and now 10 naira. someone branded the same water: he added sugar, flavour, and colour. Thus we have coke, fanta, sprite ,etc.

Security indeed! People have been using GTB's websites and domain names to scam ignorant Nigerians and what have they done about that themselves? Abi you no know? Dey dia.
Them never solve dia own problem na your own dem wan do?

Some holders of GTB account have scammed people and possibly layed complains, but what have they done?

Dem never solve local wahala finish na international dem wan solve?

Take my advice: becareful where you make payment because if it happens, you wont get any help from anyone.

Security my foot! Which Nigerian bank can guarantee you that?
Wake up!

OP , you know what? You remind me of my ex. Everybody shouldn't have given advice to her.

NL'ers, this what has happened. She has been f'cked, used and dumped by her 'bad boy' and now wants this guy back.

OP, you are a BA/ STAR/D. And you will rot with all your 'bad boy' in frustration for the rest of your life because you won't ever find that kind of guy again.

Nobody should advice this PIG of a ho'e. If I had my way, I will set you up with 'bad boy' to F'ck you till you gap for breath. Ediota... Silly dog.

And does GTB Naira guarantee you security?

Wake up! Just mind where you make payment... Simple!

UNBELIEVABLE! You won't believe that UBA does not recorgnise holders of UBA Africard as an account holder with them. I tried to use the card account number for Wester Union Money Transfer but they rejected it... Can you believe that? I felt like slapping the old biatch.

I just tore the form and walked out of the bank with anger...

Pacemaker, if there's anything I am grateful for, its the fact that you believed in me from a million miles across the atlantics... You saw what those near couldn't see. This is why Nigeria will never rise--everyone is acting faster than their shadows.

I got another text from a nairalander just 2days ago... Guess what? He lost 70k to a Nigeria Internet market who he hoped would make him money. Alas! That was a wrong move. I can NEVER give anybody my money to make make money for me.

It occured to me that we can create a facebook group page for this movement so
that there can be more awareness and improved membership at meeting destinations.

Blogger is owned by google so they won't prevent ads from appearing on their
sites. The only advice I can grant if you are to use adsense on blogger is to
have about five correct articles posted on different days on your blog and google
will approve your adsense application.

@2sexy.Where is your strongest point online? We could do a collabo.
What do you mean by strongest point?

Thanks for the other day as well.

Those 5 countries I mentioned above especially UAE support $1,000 limit and you can send and receive money with an unverified PayPal as I normally do and many lastest transaction sum of cash with an unverified PayPal is $727 and it was dem successful and I will be receiving $260 into it by next month after which I will verify it after withdrawing it as it is almost hitting $1,000 limit that way.OK?
So all just need to do is register with any of the listed country and that's all?

BusinessRe: Bank Loan by 2sexy(m): 11:43am On Sep 11, 2012
stagger: The point of my post is this:

In Nigeria, there is way things are done, and if you are a true bilionaire businessman, you would be familiar with how the likes of Jimoh Ibrahim operate. You use your assets or cash collateral to create a larger than life image that can cause the knees of any bank CEO to wobble.

If for instance, I have N300million in a personal bank account and N1bn in assets, I can walk into any bank in Naija and secure the kind of loan you are asking. If you recollect, 5 banks provided Femi Otedola with the billions he used in expanding his holdings in AP and his shipping and oil interests.

It is not on Nairaland that such things happen. I am not a billionaire, but with what I have, banks come to my door in Abuja asking to do business with me and provide me with a lending relationship, which I have always turned down because I do not need loans.

At the moment, I am working on bringing a world class academic institution to Nigeria. They were the ones even asking me for the relationship. There is a way you will position yourself and these things will be coming to you, not you running to them.

You may feel I have nothing to offer you, but if you really know the kind of weight I can pull, you will be very surprised.

There are people who control things because of their money. Strip them of that money and they are nothing. There are others who control things including money, and can make things happen as a result of what they have upstairs. Strip them of money, they will create more of it in a short while.

I am sure you get my drift.
Stagger... I dey stagger and almost fall but thanks to the wall lean on.

Damn! Those last words of your did hit me like thunder bolt. I respect you man. I really do.
