401kk: I understand where 2sexy is coming from. In internet marketing, we don't reveal secrets anyhow, rather we sell them. Internet businesses are quite different from physical business, if you reveal a secret or classified info carelessly, you might burn your fingers because before you know it, you won't be making a dime from your own business methods anymore.
The internet is filled with leechers, especially on nairaland. I've learnt some lessons on nairaland already, there's a guy I helped here, I gave him my own personal method of making money online easily. This guy has not said thank you till today.
So thats why alot of us are reluctant to give information anyhow.
That reminds me. There was a guy from Nairaland whom I gave a link to download a very expensive software for writing ebooks professionally. I told him to let me know how things went... That was the last I heard of him. It not up to 3 weeks that this happened.

Because the way the guys at owerri uba were answering me, it was like I should try other cards. I just needed info.

I needed to also ask, can I use it to pay for hosting of my website in yahoo, infact does yahoo, facebook and twitter accept the uba africard?
yes, it is accepted. I don't know why UBA in Owerri is say this, it may be temporary. How can they stop a service that is making them money.

Spicy V, you come enter my domain?

I have followed you from the career section and I must say you are an exceptionally rare gem as a lady.

Well, I don't have company yet but I do know that I will own my business in the near future.

The tips you shared above are some of the things that keep a business running and obviously, your company is doing well at that. Nothing until business owners realise that Customer is King, they will keep struggling to survive. Retaining client is the smartest way to cut cost on advertising.

The fact that your company gets referrals mean that you offer value better than your competitors.

More power to your elbow. Dominate as much as you can.

MacDaddy01: Nice thread but we should be focusing on making Nigeria a better place rather than making plans to live in the West.
How can you do that without the help of the Government? Do you think Nigerians with stellar performances in the respective fields wouldn't want to come and contribute to their own country?

The answer is staring you in the eyes I suppose.

A man like Philip Emeagwali alone, with the help of the government, will transform the technological sphere in Nigeria... Make we forget other underground 'BRAINS'

BusinessRe: Guys, Let's Talk Business by 2sexy(m): 2:53pm On Sep 10, 2012
DANILSA: @sexy I think u might be wrong, everybody here are not computer gurus, for me although I have 24/7 working modem paid by the office, I hav never done online biz because I believe it's fake and dubious and I can hardly comment on this issue because I know little about the computer world except social media and sending my official report. I don't think anybody in this forum is an island, we always have something to learn from others, u don't know my field than I do. U saying people are stealing ur ideas is a way of demoralising others interested in helping create awareness. Check the comments from pacesetter and businesstools and compare with yours. The worst a man can do is to die with his knowledge.sad sad
I understand your point but you may not also fall into that category of people I described.

To be honest with you, I have given much more info on this forum for several months without asking for a dime.

And because of that, I get emails from people who want me to teach them IM. To be honest with you, I do my best to help them but it is becoming too much for me to handle.

But for a reason, and I dont know why, the thought of the single mother who contacted me from here keep resurfacing. And each time it happens, I feel bad. I have often told her via text to wait and that I havent forgotten her. It got to a point that I had to let her know the challeng I am facing due to no modem. I assured her that I will get in touch with her as soon as I get a modem.

Last year, a member here complained about getting reaped off for articles he wrote for one those Naija internet marketer. They had a bargain and he was to write article while the IM'er would sell the website and pay this guy but that never happened, over 150 articles written and no pay.

I came in and offer to help with advice and guide him but the guy no gree reason me at all thinking I want to scam him as well. The truth is that this NL'er loves to write and after some month when I had even forgotten about him, he contacted me out the blue.

We got on well. He created his site, got some his first order( $100) to write articles and this was a success. At that time, I was making plans to sell www.seoarticlepress.com . So, he copied and remodelled his website after mine just to boost the credibility.

Like play like play, he was contacted via twitter to write 20 short articles on various keywords, which he did without knowing it was a test. And the people that contacted him is based in Abuja where he stays, a British Firm.

It wasn't long, he got a call for an interview and now working for the firm on 150,000 per month salary.

EDIT: I had to delete the name of the Nl'er for privacy reason.

Everybody is entitled to believe what they want!

BusinessRe: This Is What Deleting A Topic Or Hiding A Post Can Cause - 9jafocus SCAM by 2sexy(m): 4:32am On Sep 10, 2012
ghettodreamz: @arbitrage;

Sorry, take heart and move on. What a poor soul, he was. Duping fellow brother is a great crime and I know for sure, he will never enjoy spending the money because he hasn't work for it, I wonder if he ever has conscience. Of course he would be speechless on the phone, knowing that he has been figured out, but it would have make much difference and prevent you from being scammed if you have been able to follow up with him reading his previous threads and comments on NL, I won't attribute the blame on the moderators but honestly if[bold] Seun can implement IP banning from any reported scammer, maybe that would help future re-occurrence of such acts.[/bold]

Meanwhile, I just did a Google search on that name "Olagoke Oluwaseyi Victor", and found a facebook profile linked to that name, obviously the guy in the photos I saw look a bit innocent, but who says scammers don't look one, anybody can wear an innocent face and still be a wolf in sheep's clothing. Meanwhile, the facebook profile I found, has details of the owner's location hidden to the public and that fishy. Although there are several people with the replica first and last name, but the Facebook profile I found has the whole 3 names of the guy in question, instances of more people bearing the same first, last and other names is a very narrow one. What surprised me is one of the guy's photo album has the tag name, Engr Sheyi. See here >>>>> http://www.facebook.com/olagoke.oluwaseyi

In addition, in one of the guy's facebook photo album, there was a picture of him where he posted beside a business van- BOLMOR Publishers & Printers, located at Dugbe, Ibadan. But the question is, could this be the guy that really scammed you? I believe all my findings should give you one or more clue as to how to trace and track this guy, if you really want to give it a shot provided you don't live far away from Ibadan or have relatives who can help you in the pursuit.

@Youngzedd;

Some people are so myopic that they don't actually know the havoc using their real names in the name of scamming a fellow brother could do to them, with this name some people can go to the extent of making him pay back in his own coins, I'm sure you understand what I mean, but it doesn't worth it at all, but I believe for someone that can't play with their hardly earned 1 Naira, then it would mean a great lot, but I am not saying he should be hurt metaphysically, just a scenario, here. All the same,I know he can't do that and go scot-free abroad, he will definitely pay back in folds and regret ever doing such, since Nigeria is still a developing nation and haven't grown to the extent of using the IT in curbing crimes, I hope we can grow to that level of maturity someday.

@All;

We just have to be careful about these guys who come in sheep clothing on NL but are here to steal from fellow NL. I was having some LR to sell few days ago, and just because of people like him, I couldn't post a thread about it here, because I wouldn't want to be painted a scammer, so I had my girl friend sold it to a reseller office at such a cheaper rate compared to the market price rate, but as Proverbs 22:1 put it; " A good name is more desirable than great riches."
God bless you. I have also told them to implement the IP ban of a thing in my last email to naijacutee. Let's just hope that they are working on it.

stpat1: I think I'll have to let it pass.
stpat1, don't feel bad about that. I understand how you feel... But look at it from another angle. This is one reason why I never blame people for their actions, which is usually as a result of passed experience. We all know how people in Nigeria handle this when it comes to money--they are only after their own interest. Besides, he already stated how people went behind his back to contact his manufacturers. If I were, I will prove I have a good intention or you may choose not to do that.

You should appreciate the fact that he even stated it here. What if he kept that to himself? Well, Americans I know tell you their mind straight up, somethings that could make you angry as a Nigeria. But they are being fair to you instead of keeping it in mind. It's their way of life. They don't grudge.

Pacemaker, thanks. I have emailed azeez. I am waiting for his reply.

As at when I bought mine back in 2010, it was N8500 but now its between 5k and 5,500 , depending on where you buy from.

Subscription is 5k for a month but someone told me that if you pay N10950 to Glo, you get 3months free subscription at 247.

Thanks again. Actually, I would met with people offline that are around me but you know because of our backwardnesss people don't take you serious when you talk about internet biz. Some may even regard you as insane. So, I just keep things to myself.

I do this thing out passion and that's one thing that can keep one going despite the failure.
BusinessRe: Guys, Let's Talk Business by 2sexy(m): 7:25pm On Sep 09, 2012
You are right. I can be very creative.

The affiliate stuff I talked about is targeted towards Nigerians.

I also tweaked the idea for adsense and I am going to test both affiliate and the adsense. For the adsense, I will leverage on other people's sweat right here in Naija... Build and forget.

It's still a theory though, but thinking out of the box helps.
BusinessRe: Guys, Let's Talk Business by 2sexy(m):
I am not forcing anybody to buy it for me bro. I have a laptop and my modem got broken as a result of giving it to someone and I stated it in the beginning of this.

I get emails from fellow nairalanders that wants me to help them with info on this things. I designed and sold www.seoarticlepress.com and sold it to an American last December. I haven't done anything IM since then due to school work.

Now... I had some money before now but my final year project ate up much of that. And all my typing has been by phone...

Did you ask why I didn't say buy one ebook or the other? The reason I am even wanting to limit this is, take alook at our discussions so far from page 3 and what do you notice? It's just the 4 us(u,me,pacemaker and the OP) giving contributions back and forth. Yet, people are viewing, no contribution, no talking, no giving advice. Are they that dumb? No, I guess not. They are waiting for what we shall drop and they go ahead to probably sell it as an info. I know what I am talking about. But if you feeling I am trying to be smarter than my shadow, you can ask what I gave 2ruink yesterday. Do you think I can't sell this things? I know how the whole thing work but I also have my reasons for not doing such.

Now, did you see where I wrote that I asked people to donate while I give them free ebooks? I did drop about four links to download ebooks and I was going to be updating it everyday. Do you know the funniest thing? NOBODY SAID THANK YOU... Talkless of a donation. I am just home and not doing anything. Why dont I just use that to do something here.

And I didnt say anybody will make millions o o o. I beg you. I just wished that 2ruink will come and tell you all we talked about yesterday and I keep reminding him that adsense is not an instant money maker. Only when he comes around can he speak.

But if you feel that anybody shouldn't go ahead and send me the modem, kindly state it now and here.

There's is a guy there in Lagos. We have never physically met since 2008, but I can tell you that we are very close. I introduced him into website flipping and the first big cash he ever made online was $399 after he sold acnehotcure.com, a very good adsense niche but it wasn't easy for him too. And stpat1, he lost his adsense account just like you. He has sold several other sites after that...

About the modem thing, it's just a situation I found myself. If I had the cash, I wouldn't dare ask anyone for it.

As you rightly said, I have made mistakes and that's why my knowledge is much more valueable.

Truth is that I have a plan to raise the capital I need which the modem will help me achieve instead of asking for the money. If I tell you sef, you go run but I believe I can raise that money myself with what I already know.

My plan is also to do a form of affiliate marketing that pay between $50 and above .I have set up the blueprint. But I got to start from some where you know.

And thanks for the added tips for my NYSC muolla. I know my NYSC is going to be great... But people claim it's the their worst year ever. You see the power of knowing IM?

Abeg hand dey pain me.
BusinessRe: Guys, Let's Talk Business by 2sexy(m):
Stpat1, it's a cloud based thing. I came across that about 3 months ago.

Some Nigerians don't know yet but cloud technology is the future of the internet. It will change how we store data. No need for hard drive or any of those. We can store anything in the clouds.

Google, yahoo, Amazon and other internet giants are financing and investing hugely in it.
BusinessRe: Guys, Let's Talk Business by 2sexy(m): 2:05pm On Sep 09, 2012
Pacemaker, are you sure it's not an advert you paid for.

I am talking about an article written to educate people on something. Besides, newspapers are looking for free info to publish and I have never heard of any place where they collect money for articles. What would you say of all those opinion related articles published daily?

What about my campus press that send articles to The Nation monthly? My guess is that someone played you. I may be wrong though.

I think you should speak directly to the editor of punch.
Email: editor@punchontheweb.com
phone number:017647475

Do not reveal anything about your manufacturers in any of the article you write. Please study how reviews are written. This is how products are sold online and it's work for those who know how to write good reviews. You may choose to write one there in the US and I can recommend a very good American that will have it written for but it's not cheap. They may charge you as much as $50 for 1000 word review but what you will make from that article alone will blow your mind. This are professionals. I will speak with some top marketers at the international forum on your behalf about what you want to do and then relay their response back to you. They are ever willing to flex that business brain and help freely.
