Guy you miss o. By now that your site would have been making $500 -$700 per month. What people do not realise is that adsense is a long term thing that gradually accumulates residually. And stpat, if you knew website flipping, you should have sold that site for $5k or more since you needed quick cash instead of indulging in fraudulent acts. Yeah... Adsense sites is a money maker and people are crazy about it and will buy it for a nice pay. I have seen people sell adsense site that make just $20-$50 per month for nothing less than $1k not to talk of yours that makes much more. Kai! You miss road o. Such is life sha. I remember even revealing to a nairalander on fb my own model which I hope to start soon once I get my capital... But I can't lay it down here o. Na... That one na my own oil well! stpat1: Yes I can confidently tell you that Google Adsense is real. For me this is the only online biz that is very practicable in Nigeria cos I've done it and I was paid thrice until I became over zealous to make more money via illegal means and I had my account banned. I help about 7 of my friends to also set up their accounts too and 4 of them got paid too. My first check was about $220, second $270, $307, then $345. I was so devastated when I got banned and if was not possible then to reopen another account with the banned name. (don't know if that policy has been reviewed) |
dedeike: From Saharareporters to Premium times. I wonder why these blackmailers always love online news papers rather than the established print media in Nigeria.I don't know if you are aware and to the best of knowledge, Saharareporters' news have been proven to be true over time. Even Punch, Guardian and co also use 'source' in their line reports. So, it's nothing new in Nigeria. People no wan die. I don't care about 'source', I care about the TRUTH! |
bukahands: The sms is free, 2.7% fee for online transactions, N100 per deposits, N100 ATM withdrawal from oda banks, N50 ATM withdrawal fee for UBA shikenathank jor |
If you use your card for business, I see know reason why you should complain. What about money spend on make useless calls or buy recharge cards that adds no value to one's pocket? |
Ujujoan: No . . . shame on YOU for interferring in your brother's marriage!omo, hungry wire me na him enter kitchen prepare something for myself and my bro join me. If my wife such, she is wasting her goddamn time. I yet to see what any woman can use to punish me sef... |
2ruink: please how do i create google adsense account?if you have a gmail account, you don't need to signup, just login with your username and password. google.com/adsense NOTE: Google does not easily accept people these days because of what a Nigerian infomarketer did back in 2010. He was involved in click-fraud i.e click on ads served on his website while at the seminar he organised(massly deceiving people). This thing spread like wild fire and so, Google started clamping on accounts of people and also increase their strictness on acceptance. So here is what you should do, go to blogger.com and signup for their free blog and then write 5 articles to publish. Use that to signup for the adsense and once they accept you, get a paid blog. Let me know how it went. Yes , you need a website to sign up for adsense. |
Efemena_xy: Well, if the man learns how to cook, then he won't have to subject himself to this form of punishment would he?Thank you, ma'am. I remember my brother's wife doing that to him and guess what? I ENTERED the kitchen and prepared a nice meal for him and shamed the wify. I wouldn't blame my bro though, because my late mum pampered us. I had to learn how to cook when I got admission in to higher institution. I sure didn't learn it from my mum because she prefered to do all the cooking herself. If my wife does that, she is wasting her time. I once heard that a man stopped eating his wife's meals for some weeks because she refused to give him food when he returned from work. The man had to start eating outside, may be at booker or eateries. And his wife almost died of frustration and then pleaded for forgiveness. |
Fashion is a good niche. Others are business, relationship, travel, money, weight lose etc |
2ruink: i am actually about launching the site but it's focussing on fashionwhat's your target, local or international? Do you want it to be like a blog-like site? |
2ruink: comprehensive answer from a good fellow. thanks a lot and pls educate us more on this because now that i have gotten a comfirmation, i will need to link my site.It would be a pleasure to do more, bro. My problem is that na mobile phone I dey take type. My modem got broken by a friend I gave my laptop to and it fell off while the modem was still plugged in. I will get one soon then I can contribute pretty well. What's your site about? |
Pacemaker: You just schooled me, I was not aware of this till todayI am glad you gained something. There's nothing I don't know about internet biz. I may not be the popular internet gurus celebrated here in Nigeria, I sure know stuff that even the gurus don't. Why? Because, while they deceiving people selling ebooks and organising seminars on things they don't do, I was busy doing and studying it. It's unfortunate that my final year project chop my money finish. If not, ah... I go hammer. In addition to that, I won't advise people to use blogger.com(owned by Google) for obvious reasons. There are people making serious money from adsense. In addition to the tip I gave above, you should be well grounded in SEO( search engine optimization) and traffic generation to pull it in adsense. And always remember, Content is King! |
Look around nairaland and you will see ads all over. When you click on any of those ads, money goes into the account of nairaland. But you can't make as much as nairaland is making as a start up, because they have come a long way. The reason why people struggle at making money with adsense is because they take it as a hobby. The moment you see it as a business, the better for you. The core secret of any successful internet business is content and in the realm of internet marketers who know their stuff, they say 'Content is King.' This means your ability to write quality informative articles that people would want to read such that it makes them stay longer on your website, reading and reading what you wrote and also have them coming back for more. Of course, it has to be on a topic that people are interested in, something that appeals to large number of people and which they are seriously searching the web for information. How do you know what people are searching for? You conduct what we call keyword research and find out by analyzing further. This should come first before setting up your website, mostly a blog. After that, we go on to promote the website and then let people know that your site does exist. Overall, it requires HARD WORK... Don't let anyone lie to you that it's ever easy to make money online. Internet only made money making simple and not easy. Money has the same rule, whether online or offline. There's more to google adsense, but this is just a summary. |
2ruink: like play like play dis thread don turn to business school. i'm happy! @pacemaker u 2much! Good morning folks, I'm consistently working on the incentives for our lagos meeting and I'm not also oblivious of the necessary logistics. Another issue of interest is security. YES! We really need to safeguard our ideas 'cos it will hurt to watch them grow wings. So i'm working on that area also. I want to implore those in other regions to also try and organize their meetings. And to those who have, on their individual capacities benefited in one way or the other from this business school, do good to share ur testmony here as that will encourage others to share from their bank of knowledge. Yes, a school is where we normally learn by asking questions. My question this morning is on 'google adsense.' Is google adsense real? does it give money as people claim? If yes, how can I benefit from it?Thank you for asking question about internet business and it seem I am the only in that area that has joined this board. Bro, Google adsense is real but its not a get rich quick scheme... I don't know whether to discuss this here or not because you are asking a question to reveal how nairaland make their money and my comment maybe hidden again. I hate to make meaniful contribution and it's hidden. |
Bro, the only thing I was that S*** does not care to make this section productive and that if I had the luxury, I would by nairaland. The truth is that when you do something that people want with passion you tend to excel more than when you have your eyes on the money. I also made reference to a website where I said pacesetter should visit there for just a week. That's all o and my crime. Pacemaker: Hahaha....I noticed the moderator hiding post, are you a throll? Some one should advise him to stop the post hiding and focus on topics that are tribal. When I am on Nairaland, I click business section only because that's the only section that interest me. |
You have seen the goldmine... You found the secret to making money at will and that is 'FIND A PROBLEM AND SOLVE IT, FIND A NEED AND FILL IT, FIND A STARVING CROWD AND FEED' Not until Nigerians realise it, their lives will continue to be perpectual misery or miserable. And as Zigziglar says : "If you can help enough people get what they want, you can have anything you want" Rober Kiyosaki says: "Investment do not have to complex, but simple" and he advice that, " do not put your money in something that you do not understand" My 2cents! Pacemaker: Sometimes negative stories on News papers coming out of Nigeria can help an innovator uncover solution to some avoidable Mistakes that lead to loss of lives. I read about the Oil Tanker that exploded in Lagos and then thought of ways to combat such incident from happening in the near future. An Investor with open mind can read meaning to my discovery and ask a brother for tips. |
Ah... Them don hide my post o. Because I mention Seun 4my thread. Pathetic! Backs out |
Mynd_44: Wait until that super-model babe of yours dumps you and you will see how much you will remember herchop knuckle... I talk about d useless ex to help some people learn something and not because I have anything 4her. I don't know why you guys dont understand. They just make it seem like that's all I ever talk about on Nairaland. And when someone read such comment, they will assume it to be so. Idowu and co, pls go tru my profile and where I mostly hang out. I rarely come on romance section these days. |
Abeg, make una lifi me na... What's wrong in trying make Onagei understand why the OP did what he did, eh? Off to business section.... |
Slimy,So na my own you c eh? And who told I haven't moved on eh? Abegi... Don't let my story make u vomit o. Do I even know where she dey sef. I had to comment because Onagei or what's the name sef. Omo, the only girl in my life right this moment is MONEY and I am serious searching for her. I don waka. slimyem: ^2sexy,you nor dey tire for this your heartbreak stories? |
So true. But you know what? They will never accept it as true. They tend to regard guys who treat them like hell than a nice guy. I think its more psychological than its obvious to them; may be that's why they don't realise it or agree. Well, I realised that there are some good girls and I have also learnt not to be cheap. If you wont call me, then don't expect me to do same. If you don't have anything to offer me, don't expect me to do the same. I am not so crazy about S. E. X. I realised that most of them abuse whatever priviledge given, so I learnt to treat them accordingly. A girl once abused the priviledge I gave her and that was the end to buying her stuff. It even got to a point where she asked me for money on two occassion to travel from lag to benin and I told he NO, I don't have. Again while seeing her off to her house, she rang into my ears severally that she's hungry (truely she was hungry but I don't care). But those word, both directly and indirectly, fell on deaf ear. Some minutes later,I took a bike off to nearby 'mama put' and ate eba and egusi with turkey and malt. Ah ... I derived far much pleasure from that meal than she could offer me lol. That's how I live my life today. I eat my cow leg alone, eat my suya alone, drink my malt alone and fill my tummy with what it needs. If I have to give, it has to my friends whom I know really need it and not some girls who think they can get stuff from me just because she's a 'girl.' That charm does not work on me. Try the guy next door. NEROSKY: @poster. |
Onegai, don't blame the OP. I had similar experience and almost went on Fvcking spree. I even made a comment that I was going to hurt any girl that came my way. I had a change of heart and remained myself. Just like the OP, mine came back, too. She begged but I didn't accept her back because while she was hurting me, I gave her more than enough time to turn a new leaf. Talk about someone that is heartless, I will show you my ex. The guy she went after dumped her and I belief many others did the same, just fvcking and dumping her without no plan for her. Age is the brain for most girls: she only realised that when it was too late. I was so patient that when I shared my story here some years back, guys called me all sort of mugu names. Yes, I thank God that she's out my life. In the words of 190: 'the ex has to go for the wify to come in' my ex is full of regret. I don't blame her much, i didn't start dating till I was 23 and I was her 3rd then. So, she was much wiser(foolish actually) than I. She got what she asked for. But when I asked her why she treated me that way, she said she didn't know what she was doing. My joy is when she sees me in my own car, house, investment because she left me for monetary reasons. She looks uglier and older than she was back then. What a pity! Well, life goes on. |
So, do you agree that I can make games without knowing how to code or program? Yes, I know about the app store thing. I am still researching into it. I am even looking at developing a java compatible mobile browser that gives you a deskstop view experience. We used to bolt back then for this but they discontinued the service, for only God knows why. I loved bolt better than opera mini because I could use carry out keyword market research on my small Nokia phone but Opera can view the site that enables such operation. Pacemaker: This is the era of smart phone and tablets, people would rather purchase games on app store that going to a retail store to buy a disc containing video games. It is like you selling Okrika some where in Lagos rather that the popular yaba market, people won't pay much attention to your goods or see it as third grade Okrika, get with the program,do research on how games are sold on app stores. you can google it to find out how. |
Yeah... I know what you mean. Actually, I don't have any programming knowledge but I have seen some programs that allow you make stunning games without coding. And that's what I want to use. It also seem like most of the games made today are created using such application. What do you think? Pacemaker: Nigerians are catching up, just that the environment |

Repubocrat: Like anyone cares. What do you mean? Explain further, please |
Bros, u just dey give all these internet idea to people that may not use it... Internet biz is my area of specialization but fund is my wahala. However, because of the way the internet works, I should be able to rais capital by myself then hit the ground running. I can see the effect US life in you and perceived to be open minded to web biz, which is good. Pacemaker: Another business idea is been an online wedding planning organizer. Nigerians get married every week, most people that have plans to get married face a great challenge which is creating a to do list, like names of those that will attend the wedding, where people will sit and also head count e.g You can create a website where future married couple can sign up prior to their wedding and list their to do list on your site. They can as well upload their wedding pictures on your site for friends and family to view only. It can be a year subscription or two years subscription . That site should contain contacts of wedding cake designers, event planner, photographer and other subject required for a successful wedding. |
Thanks for this. I know about zazzle and cafepress, but as we know, Nigerian do not know the power of the internet yet. Alot of them say all this internet biz don't work... Each I read someone say such, my question to them is, what are the likes of google, facebook, yahoo et al doing online? Na akara dem dey sell abi? Pacemaker: As a business planner, think about the common man and what they would not do without daily e.g brushing their teeth everyday or dressing up for work, school or night life. Here in the states,it is difficult to compete because anything you intended doing has been done by uncountable individuals. Nigeria and Africa in general has room for growth and that is why most American and European citizens are flocking our continent to take advantage of those loopholes. Think about customized online printing of promotional items, Apparel and greeting cards. How it works is; you set up your own website, where individuals and organization can go on and customize a tee shirt, cup and other gift items t their own taste. Company's like Coca Cola or MTN can easily go on your website, upload their logo and write what ever they wish to write on a promotional product and then save and pay for it.All you have to do is receive the order and outsource it to a local printing shop where they will print the custom designs on the product Coca Cola or MTN paid for. Sometimes company's do promotion on new product, they may need tee shirts that will be given out for free that has their logo and the product name that they are promoting, insteading of them going through the hassles of looking for who to print those tee shirt, all they have to do is upload their own design on your wbesite, save it on what ever product they wish to purchase, it maybe tee shirt, umbrella or cups and then make payment. Before engaging yoursekf in such biz, look for a local printer that is willing to accept a minimum order from you and also strike a deal with a local trader that deals on tee shirts, plastics and what ever item you which to have on your site. |
Wow... For the first time, the NL business is taking to its name--Business. I am thrilled, excited and proud of you guys. I am also business minded but my kind of biz internet based and most Nigerians are yet to get to that level. Though I have just graduated and lack fund , but I do know I can raise some money. In a few months time, I should be looking at making software and games to sell on the web, without any programming knowledge. So guys keep up the good work. |
