For those who use Naira denominated cards in Canada, how much are you charged CA$/Naira, on average? Thank you Cc: irondome, zandora |
Sylverly:How many days? |
lumzy1:Doing a little research on the province might give you the "raw materials" for your writeup. I don't think there is any template though I may be wrong. BTW, is Nova Scotia PNP opened already? |
initialize:What has been your experience and that of your customers using Xiaomi Redmi devices with respect to 1. heating of the phones during heavy usage 2. camera quality in low light and 3. propensity of screen to scratch (or crack due to not being a toughened glass)? These are a few of the complaints that i came across when i read some of the reviews on Redmi 3/Note/Pro. Thank you. |
Ryder306:How is this good news? |
elijahdre:Sorry, I meant the Snapdragon 616 variant plus all the specs that I listed. Do you have it and what colour? |
elijahdre:Is the Redmi 3 Pro the 3G RAM, 32G ROM, Snapdragon 650 version? How much and what colour? |
ukay2:What's the catch for them NOW? Any particular reason that they want to invest at this time? Thank you. |
Youngzedd:More like a landline ![]() |
JonesPW:Is Oukitel K6000 Pro not too heavy at 214kg? |
DESIGN: Design wise, both are very similar looking handsets. That’s not surprising given that they fall in the same family, i.e. the Redmi series. The new Redmi 3 Pro has abandoned the plaid design that was seen on the Redmi 3 and instead features a plain metal back cover with the fingerprint sensor on board. The camera and the flash are located on the top left corner. Coming to the Redmi Note 3 Pro version, it features a similar plain back design, with a fingerprint sensor on board. The camera and the flash are located around the top center portion. Both the models feature a metal body. Coming to the dimensions, which is quite interesting, the Redmi 3 Pro comes with a 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5mm body while the Note 3 Pro features a 150 x 76 x 8.7mm body. What’s interesting here is that despite having a large battery, the smaller and much more compact Redmi 3 Pro is thinner than the Note model. In case you are wondering about the weight, the Redmi 3 Pro is lighter at 144 grams as opposed to 164 grams of the Note 3 Pro. HARDWARE: Specs wise there are quite a few differences. The Redmi 3 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 616 octa-core chip, which comes from a series that powered mid-range smartphones. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 3 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 650 chipset. This chip is slightly more powerful than the SD616 given that it comes with dual Cortex A72 cores. On the other hand, the SD616 is all Cortex A53 cores. Another important difference is the GPU inside, Adreno 405 on Redmi model as opposed to the faster Adreno 510 on the Redmi Note model. Coming to the memory, the Redmi 3 Pro has just one variant, 3GB RAM + 32GB with MicroSD (hybrid slot) for up to 128GB expansion. On the other hand, the Note model has 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB variants. For camera, the Redmi 3 Pro sports a 13MP f/2.0 sensor with PDAF and single LED flash. On the other hand, the Note 3 Pro comes with a slightly better 16MP sensor with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, and dual tone flash. Both have 5MP front facing cameras. Coming to the displays, the Redmi 3 Pro is much more compact sporting a 5-inch 720p screen. On the other hand, the Redmi Note 3 Pro comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display. Battery is of similar capacity and sufficiently large on both the phones. The Redmi 3 Pro has a 4100mAh battery while the Redmi Note 3 Pro comes with a 4000mAh battery. However, considering the 720p 5-inch screen and the super efficient SD616 with Cortex A53 cores, expect the battery life on the former to be much better. Finally, both the models run on Android 5.1 with MIUI 7 on top. And yes, as mentioned above, both have fingerprint sensors. CONCLUSION: So, both are pretty good smartphones. The Redmi 3 Pro is ideal for someone who wants a compact screen and a very long lasting battery. On the other hand, if you are looking for a larger and better display, a decent battery that will last an entire day and specs that can play almost every Android game out there, then Redmi Note 3 Pro is your best bet. So, which one do you think is ideal for you? http://www.gizmochina.com/2016/03/31/redmi-3-pro-vs-redmi-note-3-pro-pro-versions-compared/ |
@elijahdre3 I have taken a liking to 2 phones; -Oukitel K6000 Pro 4G Phablet (6000mAh 5.5 inch 2.5D Arc Dragontrail Glass Screen Android 6.0 MTK6753 64bit Octa Core 3GB RAM 32GB ROM 8MP + 16MP Cameras Fingerprint Sensor) AND -XIAOMI Redmi Note 3 Pro 32GB ROM 4G Phablet (5.5 inch Android 5.1 Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 64bit Hexa Core 1.8GHz Fingerprint ID 3GB RAM 16.0MP + 5.0MP Cameras FHD Screen) If money was no object, which of them would you recommend and why? The only thing that bothers me about Oukitel is the size: 211g. I don't know how heavy that would be. Also, I read online that Xiaomi Redmi tends to have heating issues during prolonged browsing and gaming, poor camera performance in low light and that the screen can scratch easily (I don't know how true this is) versus Oukitel Dragontrail glass screen. What do you say please? |
Congrats superchi. I am happy for you. Please, don't stop "giving" ![]() |
Munageez:Please, under the Provincial Nomination Program, how does one prove that a person is a relative? Cc: dupyshoo, JesusDWay, chimaXYZ, SlowlybtSurely, zandora, superchi |
KuliMart:Did that yesterday as an afterthought. Thanks |
KuliMart:Bros, I don't know "jack" about MIUI. Please tell me about it. |
Youngzedd:I am considering battery, RAM/ROM and reasonable price. |
elijahdre3:"XIAOMI REDMI NOTE 3 PRIME (the one with Helio X10 Octa Core)" Please, is this different from Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro? |
@Kulimart For someone who has been eyeing either Redmi Note 3 Pro and Redmi 3 Pro, would you advise such one to wait for this Ulefone Future? By the way, which one is "Bezel-less"? ![]() |
@Kulimart The specs look good but how will you rate this phone with Redmi Note 3 Pro/Redmi 3 Pro? As a layman, except for the 3000 mAh battery, it seems to beat Xiaomi hands down? What do you say? |
ucjc:Take time to read through the first few pages of this thread, especially the first page. You will get most of the information that you require. Thereafter, you can now ask specific questions if still necessary. |
ZannyShasha:Having sent your qualifications to WES for assessment, I think you should concentrate more on getting high scores in your IELTS for now. Have you created your EE profile? You should also encourage your hubby to take the IELTS too so that you can earn marks from that side too. There is a thread for IELTS. unite4real:Thank you |
@bobo65, honsule, walcolm, Ndissle, other gurus I am considering replacing my phone with any of the following devices by Chinese OEM: Redmi 3 Pro, Oukitel K6000 Pro, Redmi Note 3, Ulefone Power, Umi Touch, etc because of their RAM and battery capacity. What are the peculiar issues with these devices especially with the absence of customer care centres in Nigeria? |
@unite4real, feelamong, other gurus Good evening. I did T Bills on March 16 and got 7.6% pa for 182 days. Meanwhile, a smaller amount that I did this week gave me 8.5% pa for the same 182 days. With the way rates are going up now and the likelihood of it going much higher after the budget is signed into law, is it reasonable to liquidate my initial Tbills investment now and reinvest later to earn a higher interest? |
JonesPW:Do you have any experience in ordering for these devices online? Or are there stores in Nigeria where one can get this? |
KuliMart:Apart from the bigger size (5.5 inch) that it has, in what ways does the Redmi Note 3 Pro 'floor" Redmi 3 Pro? |
augster:What's with these "Pro" versions? Is it just about the RAM, ROM and fingerprint sensor? Please, I would like to know the idea behind naming them "pro". Looping: Kulimart |
JonesPW:Is Oukitel K6000 Pro out too? Price? |
Tallesty1:Beyond the size(5.0 vs 5.5), which device has better performance between Redmi Note 3 and Redmi 3 Pro? |
initialize:Do you have Redmi 3 Pro in stock and how much is it? |
