Do you have facts and figures for how many MegaWatts on the national grid are from Hydroelectric sources even when that is at full capacity? It is not that much K

Kanji for example is 760MW at 100% capacity compared to Egbin 1320MW

It’s nigh impossible to get one unless you are in an executive position, using intra company transfer. I conducted a job search for my US-based company early this year. Applications from outside the US were automatically screened out. The point is simple, 1. In terms of educational qualifications, you are at a significant disadvantage; 2. you will need a work permit for any job in the US, Canada or Europe. This is an expensive and lengthy process so unless you are a flat out genius, it is pointless hiring you over someone with better qualifications who is already here.

This doesn't apply to Software Developers, I know 15 people that have been recruited out of Ibadan and Lagos to companies in Germany and the UK this year alone. In fact a very close friend just left last month to work with a London based startup as a Machine Learning Engineer, man only has a degree from UI.

I won't argue about other professions but for mine, if you're good, companies will come for you regardless of your location.

Btw getting an EU Blue card is neither expensive nor lengthy.

UniAberdeen is a top school, all my mates from there are doing well at the moment. I attended RGU though but one thing I'll say is that beyond Uni rating, you must learn how to deliver as an individual. You can have a good grade from a top school and still be unemployed.

Hello people. Been ages here, and it's good to see this thread has come a long way . I tried to read the over 70 pages of this part (and the endings of the last), and one thing I noticed is that people tend to want to apply to only "reputable schools" in "big cities". This in my opinion is the wrong way to go. I know many people in big cities who stay frustrated for a different variety of reasons. I'll use myself as an example here:
I got admitted into a really small city (about 240k), in a Fachhochschule, (double trouble). But even with less than 20 words in my vocabulary on arrival, I was able to survive, work (and earn more than enough to survive and look good), cope with studies, learn German, learn programming, etc. Now I don't live there anymore, but knowing my experience so far, if I had the chance to choose again, I'd still choose the "unreputable university" in the same small city. Although I've now moved to a much bigger city (Berlin, which I really hate), the experience gathered along the way is the only reason (more or less) I'm even here in the first place.

What am I trying to say? If you want to study in a TU9 school, and/or top 10 in Europe, then perfect. If you want to study only in cities with more than a mil people, then fine as well, but I've seen too many people slide into depression when admissions for these dream schools don't drop (or visa issuance gets delayed), so broaden your net and apply to any school/city you wish and with determination, you'll go places you never thought possible...

Honestly, I don't buy the idea of a self acclaimed web developer with just HTML, CSS, & very basic JS WEBSITES as portfolio. Some simply show WordPress websites they put together with free themes. Methinks a web developer should show at least one or two web applications in his portfolio, not just simple websites. By the way, many web developers can mix together a website in 3 hours. This means 4 to 8 portfolio in one day. And someone is showing 5 of such simple websites as his portfolio? I'm not impressed. Just my opinion sha.... No try ask me my own portfolio.

You don't really understand the issue. All top companies from all over the world simply ask for your github handle. Portfolios are for designers, your Code Portfolio as a developer is your github account.
