Ask Bobby Pires, Gilberto, Ljunberg, Sol Campbell and yes even Patrick Vieira and some other massive Arsenal stalwarts about Wenger's loyalty. All players who gave their heart for the club, and without who Wenger would NOT be the icon he was today.

All players who wanted to stay at least a little while longer, and while these players may have peaked already with their powers, there was still value in having them due to their experience in key moments, and the invaluable service they would have providing in mentoring the next generation, and in the locker room (one of the main reasons we have fallen so precipitously is that unlike United we didn't have players from a previous winning generation passing on traditions and knowledge).

But these players were pushed out of the door before they wanted to go, simply for being on the wrong side of 29, they all still had on the pitch and off the pitch use.

Loyalty is not a one way street.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by 4llerbuntu(m): 7:38am On Jul 06, 2012
The concept of 'Loyalty' has been bandied about willy nilly with some thinking that RVP owes Arsenal big time for sticking with him through an admittedly injury plagued period. The only real surprise is that there was no hilarious nickname incorporating a currency symbol.

Firstly, Robin van Persie owes Arsenal nothing. It's staggering how some fans believe that paying relative peanuts for a world class talent for six years has not been fully repaid by his single handed dragging of the club to CL qualification last season, with all the financial rewards and intangible benefits (the ability to attract decent players, mainly - think you'd've signed those two strikers without it?) that this entails.

Secondly, that it is solely the responsibility of the team's one star player to win them a trophy - come off it. It is the manager's responsibility to provide him with a supporting cast capable of challenging which Wenger has resolutely failed to do. The cited examples of Cesc, Nasri and Flamini have one thing in common - each won significantly more in their first two seasons after moving than they did in their entire Arsenal careers. Anyone who still disagrees, name one example of a single world class player dragging a poor team to a trophy in the last twenty years. Just one. Thought not. (And before the whining about financial doping starts, it wasn't Abramovic's idea to pay Abou Diaby and Denilson £120k a week between them.)

Thirdly, the idea that anyone who wants to move to current Premier League champions Man City or current European Champions Chelsea is doing so only for money. This doesn't even dignify a response, it's childish, disrespectful and frankly laughable.

I genuinely like Arsenal and would rather see them winning the league over any of their rivals, but all these accusations of gold digging really grate when Arsenal can't offer Robin van Persie any more than a perpetual scrabble for 4th place and about half the salary he deserves. Have a look at your manager's stubborn refusal to provide the few world class players he unearths with any teammates of even remotely similar ability, year after year, before you point the finger at players whose only crime is the desire to win something in a short career.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by 4llerbuntu(m): 7:36am On Jul 06, 2012
To all those people that are saying that RVP is just aiming to move to Man City for the money, please shut up.

He has stated he wants to win things, who doesn't? it pains me to say this, but over the next 3-5 years Man City are 99% likely to win at least an FA Cup, a Premier League or a Champions League. Probably a few of them. Let me just remind everyone who seems to have forgotten, but they are the current league champions.

Even with RVP on top form last year, Arsenal never really looked like winning anything. So, when a player has a dodgy injury record (as everyone is so keen to point out), don't you think it's a smart move for him to go somewhere where he is likely to win a couple of things in the next 2 years before he gets completely knackered and ruined?

Yes, he may get paid a million pounds a month, and you might hate him for it, but he's much more likely to win stuff at City than at Arsenal, so get over yourselves.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by 4llerbuntu(m): 7:27am On Jul 06, 2012
seriously, i also truly do not get.

even slimshay who should know better is coming out with lines like van persie owes arsenal. owes arsenal what?
is this not job? was it himself who decided to stay on the payroll even when not playing?

its annoying when pple conveniently avoid the factual reality and start hankering after sentiment. are you going to say that you do not understand why wenger does things like keeping hold of pple like diaby?

let me quote what an arsenal fan said online, which about sums it up:

* The desperate bitters are out in force I see. Get it through your skulls: RVP owes Arsenal nothing. Simple equation verifies this: RVP single handedly took a rancid team to CL football. That in itself is worth £40 mil! No RVP goals, no CL footie.

* When RVP left Feyenoord for more money and more opportunities for glory at Arsenal, were you calling him a mercenary then? Course not. So now that he has again decided to leave a smaller club, for a bigger club that wins trophies and pays him more, how is he a mercenary?

* Did Arsenal stand by Eduardo after he was injured? Nope, they got rid and cashed in. Don't play a five string serenade, Arsenal stood by RVP because he's quality. Remember, Bayern bid for VP back in 2009 and so did Inter. He chose to stay at Arsenal.

* The same idiots who called Nasri and Clichy mercenaries, would do well to remember that these players moved to win and were vindicated. RVP moving to Citeh means he leaves a club that has won nowt in almost eight years, for one that just won the league and is getting stronger. Wise up.

* I love how the Arsene lovers are framing the captures of Podolski and Giroud as "two class internationals". Hilarious! Giroud, the "class" international (with 1 goal) who had one hot season in France - just as Chamakh and Gervinho did. And Podolski, relegated with Koln.
Again mind you, these same fans said "we signed the South Korea captain" (Park Chu) and Denilson was captain of Brazil under 23s (hah!).

* To all those saying "the club has gone on without top players" etc. You are aware Arsenal have won nothing for almost eight years, right? Oh I forgot, winning trophies is above us! Apologies..

Best of luck RVP no bitterness here.

now this is the part i seriously dislike about arsenal fans. classless my arse!

y do u people have a problem with the truth? u prefer when charlatans like alan handen, Dayokanu et al say these things because they r not gunners and u can claim its beef but when a stakeholder says them he is classless and disloyal?

reality check, please! get your heads out of your arses!

dude is leaving, deal with it. their are other clubs higher in present hierarchy who will take your players the way you take from those lower to arsenal.

loyalty you say? do u know about podolski and cologne? they made him, they picked him up again when he flopped. today nko?

i believe myself, debosky and dudu discussed this at length a few weeks back. feel free to check.

but the average naija person is just really funny about this things. u will see heavily pregnant women reporting for NYSC.
instead of the foolish officials to send them home, they will take a bribe and look away.

i wonder why they even go to camp, to do what, watch movies? i blame the mumu husbands sha. how can my pregnant wife go to a nigerian NYSC camp, have you seen the living conditions in those places?

HealthRe: 40 And Bedwetting by 4llerbuntu(m): 3:05pm On Jul 05, 2012
he simply has issues controlling his muscles down there which should ordinarily work on autopilot.

most likely he will also suffer from premature ejaculation. most chronic bedwetters at a young age are prone to dis also wen they grow.

but im surprised its an issue for so long.

he should have really practiced sleep disruption at an earlier time till his subconscious finally picks up on the fact that peeing should not be in bed at night.

for one he is really a deep sleeper, thats a no-no for an adult anyway. u can't just up and "die" to the world every night. its not a good thing for so many reasons.

when you have little ones who should have outgrown it but don't, thats the method you use. u wake them intermittently at nite to pee, force them to try.

secondly, it does not take rocket science to learn diet and liquid intake control na, this are elementary things you stop kids from doing.

limit fluid intake after certain periods of the day say 6 pm. ensure you pee as much as possible before going to bed.

thirdly, practice kegels. he really needs to get a grip on his penile muscles. they must be too weak.

fourthly, now this has gone on for so long, he prolly needs some counselling.

and medical attention too. there could be underlying causes too. a thorough check of this privates and kidneys etc is adviseable. things like his prostate gland could be having issues, he is freaking 40 years !!!! thats not young!!!

bottom line, if 10 yr olds can overcome this, i wonder how a nigga of 40 years lacks the will to do it? shit happens, look for a cure. no magic powder or pill whatsoever for this, its a question of discipline and physical wellness

PoliticsRe: Justice Aloma Mariam Mukhtar : Nigeria’s First Female Chief Justice: A Profile by 4llerbuntu(m): 2:30pm On Jul 05, 2012
Wallie: I didn’t read all the responses but based on the first page, some people are mistaken when they say that GEJ shouldn’t take credit for nominating a woman as the CJN.

The President is responsible for nominating ALL the Justices to the Supreme Court and he’s free to choose whoever he likes. PERIOD. However, as a means of balancing Executive power, the congress has to confirm such a candidate and they have the final say. In other words, if the President nominates a person that the congress does not like, the person won’t become a justice.

A specific reference to only one gender (“he” or “she”) in the constitution or the law does not preclude inclusion of the other gender.

Also, the President does not have to nominate the most senior member of the justices to the position of CJN. For example, he could have nominated Fetus Keyamo who is not even a justice in the Supreme Court as the CJN.* The current Chief Justice of the Supreme Court in the US, John Roberts, was a judge in the Federal Circuit courts before being nominated.

*Disclaimer: The conclusion is based on the US constitution which formed the basis of the Nigerian constitution.
well in nigeria, the president is NOT entitled to nominate whosoever he damn well pleases to be chief judge, neither the governors for the states.

the basis for appointment is TO NOMINATE THE PERSON RECOMMENDED BY THE NATIONAL JUDICIAL COUNCIL AS THE PERSON MOST QUALIFIED FOR THE POST AT THE TIME.

secondly, It is trite that ANYWHERE in the world, there is seniority at the bar and bench and certain privileges attach to that status

thirdly, the practice (norm) and even rule of professional conduct is that the most senior person on the bench as pertains to year of assumption of office (not age) is the one appointed as Chief Judge.

Therefore, where there is a plan not to appoint a particular person, such person is deftly schemed out by other means e.g. Justice Salami's saga (he is sposed to be in line for chief judge of the court of appeal, they schemed him out by purporting to promote him to the supreme court unilaterally)

otherwise, you damn well can do nada about it.

FFS, all these tripe folks are posting on this topic sef is irritating. in lagos state for example, the last two CJ are women, and the next one too is going to be a woman all things equal. THE JUDGES ON THE BENCH ALREADY KNOW WHO IS THE NEXT IN LINE FOR THE POST ALREADY, THEY CAN GIVE YOU A LIST OF THE NEXT 5 POSSIBLE CJs!!!!

there is no magic to it.

and btw, that u wrote about obama nominating judges to the supreme court, pls confirm properly. your wrong in some respects

ATTENTION @ BEAF

i know you are NOT a lawyer, but in Nigeria, under Nigeria Law, their are NO WOMEN AT THE BAR!!!!!
All female judges are regarded as male, hence a fellow judge or lawyer would refer to them as learned brothers-on-the-bench

and it has been interpreted to be inclusive of both genders. the import is that the personality of the judge is not in issue but the office she holds. this is to prevent discrimination amongst other things.

so when the statute makes use of the word "he", the people who drafted it were not senile. there were female judges in nigeria before that constitution or law was enacted, and clearly nobody could have presented an agenda to exclude them without an uproar.

nothing, absolutely nothing is done in the judiciary on basis of gender.

pple already told you the way CJN is chosen and appointed, you will do well to accept that and keep your peace.

this attempt at washing GEJ is a capital non-starter.

By the way, don't you think that attaching political will to judicial appointments will only backfire on you later? ignoramuses like you will later turn round to tell you that one of her judgments is because she was appointed by GEJ.

already some are already playing the ethnic card right on this thread.

BROS U NEED TO STEP UP YOUR GAME, YOU ARE GETTING LAZY. this is a poor attempt at washing your man joo grin grin grin grin grin

i am simply amazed by the comments castigating the poor chap. perhaps Obama should also have stayed in Kenya to make a difference? ALL those black men outside africa should relocate to africa ASAP to "make a difference"

make a difference where? in nigeria? since when did nigeria start recognizing excellence? Do you people value hard work and honour?

Are the valued members of the nigerian society not the thieves, the vagabonds and unqualified? do you not glorify mediocrity? ARE YOUR LEADERS QUALIFIED TO RULE YOU?

The chap went to a society that values a man's contributions and honours excellence! but you castigate him for it?

So he should have tried to gain admission into NDA? do you have any idea how difficult that is when you don't know somebody somewhere? will he not have to deal with quota system?
does the NDA even admit on merit? where is meritocracy valued in this country?

even if he had joined NDA, would he have had the opportunity to excel? WOULD HE HAVE BEEN RECOGNISED AS PRIMUS INTER PARES?

its funny you folks were not advancing this view when you were all arguing that the Lagos doctors should go abroad to work na? shebi they decided to "make a difference" here

EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY, HAVE YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE YOURSELF IN NIGERIA? HAVE YOU BEEN RECOGNIZED FOR IT?

before pointing afinger, make sure you are in a position to talk and castigate.

i can only wish the fellow well.

how to sync hotmail in your Android devices.

First thing first your device must running Froyo and above because Microsoft has activated Exchange ActiveSync for Hotmail from there.

It also syncs up your Windows Live Contacts and Calendar with the phone.

First, you put in your email address and password, then you hit "manual setup" (not "next"wink, then choose "Exchange". From there, you'll see the following...

Domain\Username: Clear out and put in your full hotmail address
Password: if not pre-filled, obviously put in your hotmail password
Server: m.hotmail.com
Check "Use Secure Connection (SSL)"
"accept all SSL certificates" can uncheck

After all the setup complete HOLA! You got your hotmail sync with your android phone wink

Google finally released the latest version of its Maps app to Google Play today. Originally announced at a Google Maps event in early June, this update allows users to select and save a region of a map from more than 150 countries for offline use. In the new Maps version, users can save up to six large metro areas for offline use.

To utilize this, simply bring up the area of choice and select "Make available offline" from the menu to verify what you'd like to save. Maps then estimates the file size a user would be taking on and asks for confirmation before saving it. Google even notes that if you have GPS enabled on the device, "the blue dot will still work without a data connection so you know where you are, and if your device has a compass, you can orient yourself without 3G or WiFi connectivity."

The new Maps update for Android also includes an improved Compass Mode for Street View. Users will need Android 3.0 or higher, a gyroscope sensor, and version 1.8.1 of Street View on Google Maps to utilize this function.

Thanks maleeq. actually they did not have static.

i found the problem. the server had DHCP installed roles for the former isp. apparently those clients still got ips assigned by the server, whilst others picked from the new router (wrong config on my part)

what i have done now is changed all the clients to auto IP and DNS

deleted the old DHCP role from the server, and reinstalled DHCP, specifying the server with a static IP as DHCP, and the ISP as gateway.

so far, everything now works.

the new challenge is that i have 3 drives on the server that were shared on the network and sync data backup automagically. i cannot seem to get the clients to see them now, though i reassigned them on the server. haven't had time to look through tho.

i would have changed the server to ubuntu sef, but all the clients are windows, its an office environment so its critical that uptime is maintained. i don't think i can spare the effort, nor battle with samba shares if issues come up. maybe if the server install dies on me sometime sha

been having issues with my office network due to change of ISP.

turns out the sysad i used to have configured the former ISP, (Swift) on the server as gateway, Picked a static IP for the server in series from the gateway.
picked the networked printer as the 2nd static IP. like 1.0.0.1, 1.0.0.2, 1.0.0.3 blablabla

All the other clients on the LAN network apparently on auto -ip assigns

network was dependent on the swift hub (i think) for dhcp and auto ip address assigning to 10 clients and any wifi device.

engineer claims dhcp was done by the server. I checked, network router stauts said dhcp is off om that network.......

anyway, i have since removed the swift hub and plugged the ethernet cable in directly into the server. the chap got it rigged in such a way that the SWIFT HUB was doubling as a router huh huh huh
whenever swift had network issues, my network was behaving funny too! angry angry

i plugged in the new ISP hardware into the spare port on the cisco switch and picked the gatway IP et al to config the server and pcs around. it worked...... a while

but the catch now is, some clients after a reboot dont get on the network, keep showing IPs from the OLD SWIFT CONNECTION!

what do you think is the problem? i know its obvious but men, blow me, aint no sysad.

when i release and renew ipconfig they get back to normal, but i cant keep doing that for about 5 systems daily lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

thinking of installing DHCP on the server (win2k8 ), set a range, then changing the DNS on all clients to the server's static IP instead of the ISP's DNS.

am i on track? or i got it all wrong as usual?

Then again, if i dont pick .....1, ......2 for the gateway/server/printer statics does it matter? i used an arbitrary number in the range for the static (server, printer) already. do i have to change them to .1, .2 .3?
