SAFO: OUYA, has bust written all over it. The changing landscape of hardware upgrades is just too quick with Android. By the time this thing releases the specs would have been on the verge of extinction. Furthermore, games are not designed for TV displays and there's really no incentive for developers to make stand alone games for OUYA.

It sounds good in theory but I just don't see people rushing out to buy a cheap gaming console that might be obsolete in 6 mths. If I want to game on my tv, that's what I have an xbox for.

Well that was my thought too at the onset. but upon considering it for a while i realised

the device is NOT designed to rival the consoles. matter of fact, by next year the consoles will get new releases which will even nearly double the present capacity and abilities. so obviously no one can begin to think this will rival them.

as i know most of us are always whining about the battery life, every little counts.

one of the reasons why the battery dies so quick is the radio, especially on 3G mode like most phones anyway (3G consumes more juice), but often overlooked is the issue of signal strength!!

the lower the network signal you are connected to is, the more effort your phone tries to stay connected. its particularly worse when there is no signal and the phone keeps on trying to search and connect to a network.

therefore, pls take into consideration also before whining about your phone battery, the signal level of your environment.
when in buildings or areas with low or bad reception, note that your battery is dying.


what you can do in this situations is to change to GSM mode only, or better still switch off data completely, leaving just the gsm network on.

if there is no service at all, it is better you put your phone in airplane mode. . . . . . . there is no point letting it continually search for networks.

this also applies to wifi too btw.

and if you permanently reside in a place of bad reception, pls understand that it also contributes to your bad battery life. STOP WHINING

The Bayelsa State Government yesterday explained why the wife of Nigeria incumbent President, Mrs. Dame Patience Jonathan was appointed as permanent secretary in the state.

The first lady, who is an indigene of Okirika in River state, got her appointment letter signed by the Head of Civil Service of Bayelsa State, Mrs Gloria Izonfo.

A Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dickson on Media and Public Affairs, Mr. Mackson Iworiso said the First Lady got the new promotion [size=18pt]due to her long service transferred from the Rivers State Civil Service to the Bayelsa Civil Service.[/size]

Iworiso described the appointment as routine action in the Civil Service.

Also, according to a letter signed by the Head of Civil service said: “By the Constitutional power conferred on the state Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson, in section 203 sub section 2c, Dame Patience Jonathan and Seventeen others were elevated to the position of Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service”.

Dame Jonathan obtained the National Certificate of Education (NCE) in Mathematics/ Biology in 1989 from the Rivers State College of Education and a Bachelor of Education in Biology and Psychology from the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

She worked in Teaching, Banking and as a Sports Administrator in the State Civil-Service. She was First Lady of Bayelsa State.

or try sending ur contacts to anor fone or pc via bluetooth. they will get sent as a vcf file

or try using ms outlook

or try google backup or any email sef, abi nokia cannot do that?

or even the pc application for usb dongles. try the sim in a usb dongle, usually u can access the sim that way on a pc and see message and contacts

and need i say, startimes actually uses NTA infrastructure. their main investment is in the multimedia center installtion in abuja, and sourcing for stations(paying if at all, as most of those stations are free to air)

No you can actually brick a phone in many ways depending on the phone model.
its just that there are two types of bricks, soft and hard

softbrick is caused by software issues, easy undone by flashing.

hard brick is usually caused by hardware manipulation. usually difficult or impossible to undo.



dont use HTC tho, but will try help you research.

what is the model number of the phone?

Is the phone powering up at all?

Does it display anything.

Does it have any indication that if it powers up, its working but not displaying?

Have you tried using another battery or charging the battery outside the phone?

Does the phone charge if plugged it (display charging light)?

Dead Trigger is a fantastic looking game with boring, repetitive mediocre gameplay. That's totally unrelated to the fact that my 320dpi Galaxy S3 (and also my previous HTC One X) is not compatible with many apps I truly want. From GTA 3 to NBA Jam to Need for Speed and a few others, updates are required to the apps to support my device. Some XDA guys have been able to increase compatibility by using a tweak to change DPI to 240 or so, but i'm not keen on such an inelegant workaround.

I recall early adopters of the Galaxy Note had that issue too.
