Foreign AffairsRe: Mccain Picks Sarah Palin As Running Mate by 4Play(m): 2:16pm On Aug 30, 2008
McCain has been shouting from the rooftops that Obama isn't ready to be C-in-C and inexperienced.

Lets suppose that's true. Now how does your choice of person you're trusting, putting one heartbeat away from being C-in-C tally with your age-old rooftop cries? McCain might have shot himself in the foot in this regard! At best this is hypocritical!
There is no ounce of logic in justifying the relative inexperience of a Presidential candidate by invoking the relative inexperience of a vice-presidential candidate. We remember the Clinton years,Reagan years,Bush years,Carter years,e.t.c not because of their vice-presidents,who most of us won't remember without resorting to Google.

All Obama,Biden and McCain possess is legislative experience. Palin brings to the fore experience within the executive arm of Govt. It is an entirely different kettle of fish from being one of 435 fellow legislators.

First off your statement aboyt Naija men doesnt make sense because this woman had 4 kids alreayd before she decided to have a 5th one at 45.
If a Nigerian man with 5 wives felt the 5th wife was a burden, should he look for ways to "eliminate" her? You think all those murderers didn't have women on the side?
and nah I don't have any stick as i said Barack flip flops and the speech was great and all but it would be nice to hear how he intend to ACHIEVE these things. The plans, yada yada
Ok,I should leave that for the likes of Osisi and Ibime who seem to have Obama's cock firmly lodged in their throats. grin How any lucid person will have any sort of affection for a politician beats my imagination. undecided

as for "merely Downs", lol if you only you knew. Abeg, I expected the whole "omg I can't believe such a crack was made" from the hens on the board, not you.
abeg, get back to me when you stop being so sensitive. Maybe Jan 2009.
The way you were passionately attacking, questioning a child's worth as a human being, just threw me off guard. I think you should be sectioned. grin

Think I have a problem with that?

and lol did I hit a nerve on your beauty queen, 4Play? If anything I was making a crude joke on her pro-life/pro-choice stance. What happened to your sense of humor? Who knew you now have a mcCain stick firmly lodged up your ass

Depressing  embarassed
In order to have a politician's stick up your ass, as you do,you have to have a clear support for him. As for disposing of "liabilities",why not extend your sympathy to all those Nigerian men who dispose of their wives who they deem as such?

How would any sane human being suggest a baby should have been aborted merely because of Downs syndrome? Did she steal your prospective husband?  grin

Self hate is a form of self expression - who am I to deny you?
Not sharing your homo-erotic passion for Obama is self-hate,the logic of the narrow minded. It is this same logic, which we practice here in the form of tribalism, that stunts our political development.

Anyway, Maybe if she was pro-choice, she wouldnt be saddled with a Downs baby. baby at 45 at that matter. after 4 kids.
If in principle we shouldn't be "saddled" with the mentally impaired, shouldn't we extend it to all? If for instance you were to have hemiplegia tomorrow, instead of "saddling" your relatives with your problem, you should be euthanized.

I don't know whether Obama fellates you or something. Does he even know you exist or ever mention Nigeria?
Foreign AffairsRe: Mccain Picks Sarah Palin As Running Mate by 4Play(m): 11:38am On Aug 30, 2008
If there was any shred of evidence that McCain had a chance, it's just flown out the window.
How could he pick a woman who is only one year in office as Governor of the 47th most populous state (not even in Mainland USA) whose experience besides this is mayor of Juno Alaska?
What is Obama's experience? Is it being a "community organiser"? The best Obama can claim is that his running mate has more experience than McCain's running mate. Biden has never held a proper job for long in the real world, outside of politics. He has no executive experience whatsoever, nor does Obama.

The last people who should bring up the experience issue is the Obama campaign. Obama said that his lack of experience is made up for by his good judgement, exemplified by his position on Iraq,he then went on to pick Biden. Are we to deduce that Biden, given his votes against Gulf War 1 and for Gulf War 2,also lacks judgement?

You've started your slow but sure gravitation into a cul de sac.

Question: If Egypt and Zimbabwe are not democracies, then what are they? What system of government do they practice? Is it communism?
They are both dictatorships. When Hosni Mubarak is returning with 94% of the vote, been in power before I was even in born, you can't call that a democracy unless you haven't got a clue what you are talking about.

4 Play,
Let's be serious, North Korea is a communist state, and not a democracy. I'm making the assumption that you're aware of their differences.
At least, that should reveal the absurdity of referring to the presence of political parties as evidence of the existence of a democracy.

Do you remember the political parties that existed during the Abacha time? So the metric for determining the existence of democracy is the presence of political parties? That means Egypt is a democracy.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Signs Nuclear Agreement With Iran by 4Play(m): 11:26pm On Aug 29, 2008
Iran is far from a democracy for 2 primary reasons:

In Iran, power rests in the hands of the Supreme Leader whose position is not subject to a popular vote. The President is merely a head of Govt, somewhat akin to Zik's position in the 1st Republic.

In reality, even the President's office was was not open to the popular vote in the last election. You can't have a democracy where the likely winners are banned from contesting. Imagine if only Republicans were allowed to run in the 2008 election.

No right thinking person will call Iran a democracy.
Like Obama said during the primaries, none of the candidates can say accurately what they would do if the phone rang at 3 am because none of them has been in the white house at that time.
The gaping flaw in this argument trotted out to excuse glaring inexperience should be very obvious. If we say that the experience factor is nullified by the fact that nobody actually has "White House" experience, taken to its logical extreme,a full grown adult who has spent his entire life on welfare can legitimately claim that his inexperience can't be factored against him since in reality, nobody has "White House" experience except an incumbent President.

Are you serious? This view is truly absurd.
Do a quick search and come back and tell me about Biden and Obama's experience within the executive arm of Govt.
I thought McCain's argument was about political experience, generally speaking and not necessarily executive experience alone.

Or is McCain's time in a Vietnamese prison executive experience?

If it was truly about executive experience alone, why does Obama keep reminding us that McCain voted with Bush 95% of the time; in the legislature?

Like Obama said during the primaries, none of the candidates can say accurately what they would do if the phone rang at 3 am because none of them has been in the white house at that time.
The most important thing is the relative experience of the 2 Presidential candidates:McCain vs Obama .To suggest that Obama's inexperience is mitigated by McCain's running mate inexperience is the height of folly.

The buck will stop at the President's table, not the Vice.

So because his opponent has a supposedly inexperienced running mate, that makes up for wanting to be an inexperienced President.

Even then,Palin has more executive experience than Biden and Obama combined.

That's a lie. Hiow can I make such a statement?

Let me refresh your memory. I presented pictures showing the increasing budget deficit in absolute terms for a range of years. The purpose was clear and simple: to show that George W. Bush holds the record in budget deficit (absolute terms). I made no mention of the relative term you chose (percentage of GDP).

You then brought the valid point that the US budget deficit (relative to the GDP) does not show that George W. Bush had spent the most. I replied that what you posted was correct and what I posted was also correct - I showed absolute values and you showed relative values. I never made that statement in bold. You just lied!
Not in those explicit terms,I admit, but you referred to an analysis of budget deficits as a percentage of GDP as a ''pathetic attempt to look savvy'' and further claimed it made no sense unless one looked at other spending[utter drivel] https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-90187.64.html

As for your continued insistence that your concocted expertise in missile technology is justification for drawing like-for-like comparisons between Soviet nukes in Cuba and US interceptors in Poland, I'm already used to your dishonest attempts to save face.

RichyBlacK:
Again, you lie! I never claimed no Israeli had ever died from the Palestinian intifada.

Let me refresh your memory. The IDF just killed a large number of Palestinians and I was complaining about the loss of innocent Palestinian lives. davidylan then started supporting Israel (no news there) and brought up the issue of Qassam rockets hitting the town Sderot, Israel. I pointed out that Israel's response to the rocket attacks was disproportionate as 100 hundreds of Palestinians were killed by IDF precision bombs, while the crude Qassam rockets only cause minimal negligible damage. He, davidylan and you 4 Play, then alleged that many Israelis have been killed by the Qassam rockets.

I then put down a challenge that you guys give evidence of that. The point was to show how difficult it would be to bring such evidence. After tens of minutes (ages in today's Googlized world  grin), both of you found just one Israeli (or was it two?). Anyway, the interesting part was that Tornadoz and RichyBlack pointed out that the man died twice! Raising the possibility that the news item was fake  grin.

We made fun of that evidence and had great laughs late into the night - enjoying the spectacle of you struggling so hard to find one Israeli that died from Qassam rocket attack in Sderot. Anyway, our side won the day because your side could not show that "many" Israelis were killed by Qassam rocket attacks in Sderot.
I have to give you some "credit" that you didn't rush to edit your post: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-82157.128.html

Here were your demands for evidence
Can you produce any evidence that a single Israeli civilian has been killed by these sporadic rocket launches, that started earlier this year?
I'm also waiting for evidence that a single Israeli civilian has been killed by any of the much hyped-about rocket launches into Israel.
Can you produce any evidence that a single Israeli civilian has been killed by these sporadic rocket launches this year?

I'm waiting for your response to my question.

Isn't it clear that the woman is entirely at fault? What kind of perverse sense of sarcasm is that? The irony is that women never seem to possess this acute appreciation of sarcasm that they demand of us.

Try using such sarcasm on a woman and you have a full fledged emotional breakdown on your hands.

The key question is whether you can learn to declare mea culpa when you goof instead of insulting anyone who points out your blatant errors.I mean, this is a full grown adult who once claimed that nobody measures budget deficit as a percentage of GDP. grin

In this thread, you invented the tale that software change alone will change a missile's purposes. You know very well that isn't true but you insisted on carrying on.
