The last good thing US foreign policy did was to establish the United Nations, after that they've been hopelessly pathetic.

The main reason for all the bold-faced attrocities in the world today, is because the aggressors know that there are no consequences for their actions - Darfur, Congo, Iraq, Palestine, etc.

Well, The Times did an article on it a few months back and the picture was clear that the South Osettians themselves wanted independence from Georgia.

Nobody is saying that Russia is clean. They still marginalise the Chechnyans and such. But I'm just happy for the Ossetians that they are getting their wish.

the question is: how much of the agitations of Ossetians to break from Georgia is really from within and how much of it is being engineered by Russia to even scores?

Georgia and Russia were today on the brink of full-scale war after Russian tanks rolled across the border to back separatists in the breakaway South Ossetia region.

With hundreds of people feared to have been killed and the South Ossetian capital, Tskhinvali, reported to have been severely damaged, Georgia said it was pulling 1,000 of its troops out of Iraq to redeploy them against Russia.

Georgia, a strong US ally, currently has 2,000 soldiers in Iraq, but half would now be withdrawn, a Georgian official, describing them as "some of our best soldiers", said.

The Russian incursion began after Georgia launched a major military offensive to retake control of South Ossetia, which has enjoyed de facto autonomy since the early 1990s but officially remains part of the country.

The Georgian president, Mikhail Saakashvili, said the two countries were already effectively at war.

"Russia is fighting a war with us in our own territory," he told CNN. "We are a freedom-loving nation that is right now under attack."

He called on the US to intervene, saying it was in Washington's interests to help his country.

Men of the Nigerian Army yesterday invaded Agge Community in Ekere-mor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State and razed the entire town in rage over the seizure on Sunday of a military gunboat and killing of two soldiers by militants along the Forcados River in Bomadi Area of the state.
The military action on Agge followed intelligence report that the perpetrators of the act, which was considered a slap on the face of the military, are from Agge and not Bomadi where the Sunday attack had taken place.
Some militants had attacked a military forward operating base in Bomadi in the early hours of Sunday, killing two soldiers and carting away a gunboat laden with arsenal to repel any attack.
The militants were said to have taken the boat to an area in Bomadi where they stripped it of all its military hardware before abandoning the carcass for the soldiers.

Five new patients were identified with mild cases and were treated aboard the USS Iowa Jima rather than evacuated out of the region, officials said.

Navy doctors are investigating what they say is an unusually high rate of the illness among service members who were in Liberia only briefly last month on a peacekeeping mission, then returned to a three-ship amphibious group offshore.

Don't want to get into these Fergie vs AW nonsense, but how many years was Fergie in charge before he 'developed' the 95/96 youths?

In the same comparative era (i.e when both have been managers) how do their 'youth' products compare? i.e young players (17-22 in my reckoning) who have come in very young or developed in house and gone on to become stalwarts in the side?

please lets be careful before using words,whats absurd in a school stating their rules and regulations in a contract and then the parent or guardian fully functional and of sound mind health wise signed on the dotted lines that their wards will abide by these rules?
anything whatsoever might be going on in other universities but they have a zero tolerance on these vices so why should that be a crime, the issue here is that in a crazy world where anything goes,they don't want sexual intercource and what not going on,even in america theres a silver ring or whever group of teenagers that commit themselves to being virgins untill they get married,why are they not being jailed or sued to court for tampering with these teenagers human rights?
