I was even rejoicing when I heard that a trailer rammed into the PDP convention but it turned out that those who died were largely innocent people. Another example of how our theiving pols are ruining the country. That accident would not have happened if our theiving pols did not steal so much money that our roads and vehicles are in a bad state resulting in the deaths of many Nigerians. My problem with that lorry driver is that he should crashed his lorry right into a crowd of pols with a full tank of petrol and a cargo of refilled gas cylinders. |
@Nilla Harsh is looting the country dry so that its citizens have a life expectancy of 60 years.Millions of Nigerians are dead because of theiving pols like YAR'ADUA who is not competent enough to run a roadside shop not to talk of a country. Death to Yar'adua! |
Why would a sentient adult pay 300,000 NAIRA for an MBA with a crap instituition like UNILAG? |
@alabiyemmi If I die no problem but I am not trying to foist myself on the long suffering Nigerian people as their President. Many Nigerians are dying because of theiving bastards like Yar'adua. It was said that he goes abroad for his kidney dialysis, this is after these politicians have looted Nigeria dry that we don't have adequate medical facilities. The average Nigerian with kidney or other chronic problems has to die for lack of either finances or adequate medical facilities. These bastards get to prolong their lives with our money by going abroad so they can stay alive and continue to steal from us. My uncle died in 1989 in UNTH from a kidney problem due to inadequate medical care, unfortunately we could not fly him out for treatment unlike Yar'adua I wish death to them the same way they have caused many Nigerians to lose their lives MAY YAR'ADUA DIE A PAINFUL AND AGONISING DEATH |
The good thing about Yar'adua is that I heard his heallth is not so good so hopefully he could die very soon |
IGBO Kwenu. From Awka in Anambra State |
@justkunmi The Chinese player is already a Man Utd player but he has been out on loan with Royal Antwerp of Belgium. I think he was partly signed for commercial reasons. As for Hargreaves he is likely to join at the end of the season not the Winter break as Bayern have shown no inclination to sell him. I believe Torres is no longer an option because of the high cost but Huntelar is still being considered but nothing official has been discussed though Hunterlar did express a desire to come to England |
There is no better evidence of how good the place is than the ever increasing numbers of people who want to go there. There are about 190 countries in the world,if America was such a horrible place I wonder why they continue going and those who have already gone are not fleeing in large numbers. People say that Americans can be ignorant but humanity is full of ignorant people.Just check out Nairaland alone.Do u think if u go to rural areas of Nigeria particularly in the North they are briming with knowledge |
I am starting to wonder whether this country is cursed.A nation that produced a Nobel Laurette and various other highly distinguished people will be run by riff-raffs like Yar'adua and Andy Uba |
It seems that Obasanjo has settled on a Yar-adua & Uba tkt.The former has a dodgy kidney the latter dodgy financial shenanigans http://odili.net/news/source/2006/dec/15/801.html |
Afam:Like Hezbollah has any choice other than to use democratic and civil means.Hezbollah can't reasonably expect to attain power in present day Lebanon if they were to resort to violence. They can either have a role in Govt through peaceful means or have no role at all if the country were to be plunged back to civil war.The world has no cause to show appreciation to Hezbollah for doing something that is ultimately in their interests. The Lebanese people will not tolerate a resort to violence to effect a change of Govt. Also the parrallels u drew to places like Georgia are irrelevant. In Georgia for instance, there was an attempt to overthrow a Govt led by Shervadnaze, who had been in power since 1995 and attempted to rig the elections in 2003 to extend his stay in power. In Lebanon, u have a democratically elected Govt which has been in power only since last year. U seem to imply that the Lebanese Govt is a foreign lackey whereas the Hezbollah led oppostion somehow is a voice of the masses. What nonsense. The opponents of the Govt are just as beholden to foreign nations(Iran and Syria) as the Govt. The anti Govt demonstrations were partly prompted by the Govt's support for investigations into Syria's involvement in Hariri's murder and by a strange coincidence those protesting against the Govt are part of a pro-Syria coaltion. The Govt of Lebanon was elected by a majority of the people of Lebanon only last year.If Hezbollah wants to overthrow the Lebanese people's choice, it has no option but to enlist the support of a majority of Lebanese people.Nobody is denying them a right to have their say ,a right which they are fully exercising. However any grab of power must have popular support. Also Hezbollah cannot function in a democratic setting if they continue to remain an armed force. This is incompatible with democratic principles. Before the recent conflict with Isreal ,no one could venture into Hezbolah controlled South Lebanon to campaign politically unless they were members of Hezbollah.Shia critics regularly complain of intimidation by Hezbolah militia men.No other party in Lebanon still maintains armed militias. No party should participate in a democracy with campaign leaflets in one hand and an AK-47 in the other |
A key component of a religion is often its incompatibility with other religions.Religions by their very essence assert superiority over each other. The fact that one belongs to one religion is often a matter of coincidence depending on things like place and time of birth, place of residence e.t.c.If one grew up in Nigeria a 300 years ago,he was almost inevitably a pagan,300 years later he is often either a Christian or Muslim |
We can see the usual apologists for anti-semitism lining up under the banner of objectivity. On a thread that deals with the apallingly racist agenda being pursued by the cretin,Ahmedinajad, instead of an unequivocal condemnation,we get the usual cocktail of hubris and obtuse rationalisation of racism and bigotry. The problem of the Palestinian/Isreali conflict is not helped by the existence on both sides,of religious bigots and racists, but this problem is particularly acute on the Palestinian side.We have in Palestine, the Hamas led Govt, which sees it as a religious duty to remove all infidels from Moslem land .How is Isreal supposed to come to peace with the Palestinian people when the Palestinans have in power, an organisation committed to the destruction of Isreal. Make no mistake,Palestine is not the only place that is victim to a land dispute.Does anyone remember Tibet in China. When was the last time u heard about a suicide bombing by Tibetans . The Palestinians are living with the consequences of their failed attempt at a second holocaust of the Jews in 1948. For a people who have suddenly discovered an attraction to observing UN Resolutions, they should have observed the League of Nations Mandate passed on July 24 1922 or UN Resolution 181 of 1947. Had they done that they would not be in the present mess.Instead they thought they could use military might, having woefully failed in that they are soliciting pity.Well it is too late. They like every human being on earth have to live with the consequences of the choices that they make in life. In other to obtain a just and peaceful settlement to the conflict, the Palestinians have to rid themselves of the lunatic elements in their midst of which the likes of Ahmedinajad encourage. It was this loony type of thinking that put them in their present predicament.Only by so doing, can they acheive lasting peace. Cretins like Ahmedinajad and their conferences don't help the Palestinian cause |
I share the opinion expressed by a blogger,Jules Crittenden, on this issue which is that this Holocaust deniers conference is a good thing As he says, "anytime evil bigots display for the world what morons they are without actually killing anyone, that is a good thing" |
The President has been a failure. He is not the worst among the shameful collection of nitwits that have run this country but he is not too far them |
It is amazing that Nigerians in particular and Black people in general who have been at the receiving end of crude stereotyping will resort to the same stereotyping when given the opportunity. People never miss any opportunity to bash America. A neutral person will laugh at the irony of Nigerians mocking the United States |
This is the best start Utd have ever had to the Premiership |
Utd does not need glory hunters. They all belong to Chelsea @Hucarson Where the hell have u been.U left us to take on these Chelsea,Arsenal,Liverpool nitwits all by ourselves |
Obviously not every single one of Nigerians abroad contribute intellect but u have a great deal of intellectual capital abroad. Where are Phil Emeagwali,Barth Nnaji,Gab Oyibo,Chinua Achebe,Wole Soyinka, |
I thought Mourinho was arrogant when he said on Sinday, tthat by the end of Wednesday Chelsea will be only 5 points behind Man Utd. I see Newcastle as a potential banana skin for Chelsea.Newcastle have hit form at just the right moment and could spring a suprise |
I pity the new owners of West Ham.Things will get worse for them by the time they meet us.But there is always a chance of a backlash. Bocs Pardew was popular with his players I think they wiill be downcast when they meet us |
Mourinho likes to be the centre of attention like a girl. Maybe he did not get much attention as a kid. He probably feels a bit uncomfortable since Chelsea has never been in thsi position b4.But I am still convinced Chelsea will win the league. In the Premiership, unless u establish at least a 9 point lead. The team that goes into Xmas at the top will not win the league.Chelsea have not hit form yet and Utd have not gone through a bad patch yet. |
I prefer hot body with pretty face |
Nigerians abroad contribute in capital repatriation and when they return they contribute intellectual capital. |
@nilla nilla:Well he did.80 percent of the humanitarian aid spent in the Sudan comes from the US.Hundreds of thousands of African Sudanese had died due to humanitarian disaster while there fellow Africans where busy obsessing over Arabs in Iraq. Buh also coerced Al-Bashir into ending the war in the South of Sudan, through the threat of more economic sanctions and military strikes. This helped bring an end to one of Africa's longest running conflicts which had resulted in the deaths of over a million people. Today the United States is one of the few countries that maintain economic sanctions against Sudan, which include a prohibition against US oil coys from operating there. U might say what does this have to do with the topic .The reason why this topic arose is because of our dislike for Bush. That dislike is based mainly on his actions in the Middle-East.None of this would arise if a fuller picture arose of Bush's foreign policy. Africans get all their info about the world from Western media,if the Western media are interested only in the Middle East because it directly affects them, then that is the only thing Africans know about. U then have the odd situation where Africans are more interested in conflicts outside Africa than conflicts in Africa. Consequently,u get Africans starting up threads over whether Bush should face trial over Iraq, when even the Iraqis are not going about insisting that the man who toppled Saddam, should be put on trial for doing so. |
@Nilla In so far as most Iraqis say that the toppling of Saddam was worth it,at least at the time of the invasion,it is not for u a Nigerian to say that it was wrong.Maybe u are trying to separate the invasion from the toppling of Saddam. One could not have happened without the other. I still don't get what the content of a prosecutors case against Bush will be.It is in impractical, pointless and without precedence. Maybe some of this energy should be diverted towards people like President Al-Bashir of Sudan |
nilla:@Nilla Who decides what is wrongful on Iraq? You or the Iraqi people? |

Now u have spun it it into this. Afam:U are trying to spin your way out of your web of dishonesty .U removed the first 6 words of your statement to alter the essence of ur reply |
