Nothing wrong there. This is what women have been clamouring for. She should be happy her husband sees her as one who can contribute to the home. But I don't understand, are they arguing over who will buy ingredients for soup? Or did you mean to type something else? |
AdeniyiA: Technology : gradually turning people insane ![]() Come this guy, why you tag me?! You dey craze?! Abi we resemble or we be mate?! No try am next time o! abdusalam7474: Hey guys think it this way: you can charge your phone by playing music or by staying with a friend who plays music.Funny enough though your post was one of the most sensible, it has the least number of likes. ![]() |
@bukatyne very interesting post you have here. However it seems to have been overshadowed by the more interesting post of "the Nigerian god." It would have been nice if there was a seperate thread for it so people can air their views without derailing this thread. |
Dr Burke and Silas stared at the computer monitor in disbelief. Knocking persistently at the door were a two men and a young girl. There was no way they could have known a hidden door was there but there they were. "How...what...?" Was all Dr Burke could say. "How do they know about the room?" Silas asked, puzzled. "Are they colleagues of yours?" "What? No." Dr Burke said scratching his head. "I have no idea who they are." The knocking persisted. It was violent and very loud. "They are going to bring the whole zombie world down here with all that racket!" Dr Burke said angrily. "Hey, whats all the noise about?" Caleb said as he entered the room with Efe. "Is that knocking?" "Some folks are at the door." Silas said. "Wait...is that..." Caleb took a closer look at the monitor then suddenly let out a whoop of joy. "Hey folks, its the klausers!" Caleb motioned excitedly for the doctor. " They made it here! Open up and let them in!" "How did they know you guys were here?" Silas asked still puzzled. "I called them last night." Efe said and held up a mobile phone. "We are neighbors. We said we'd contact each other if we found a safe place. Come on and open the door." "No!" Dr Burke said through gritted teeth. "We are stretching our resources as it is! This is my place and I'm not opening the door for anyone else. If you don't like it you can go and join them. The two Nigerians stared at the doctor for a while, then Efe stalked off angrily. "Efe, wait! Doctor..." Caleb said, "listen to reason. There was no way we could have known we weren't supposedto contact anyone else. AAfter these guys come in we won't call any other person." "Why didn't you even tell me yoyhad a cell phone?!" Dr Burke almost screamed. "Do you k ow how valuable it is in a time like this? And you wastes credits calling your friends over?" "Oh, Efe has loads of credit. We burst into an abandoned store before we came here." Caleb said, looking at the monitor apprehensively as the knocking continued. "Come on man, let them in. There's a little girl out there for goodness sake." There was some commotion in the inner room and Efe appeared in the computer room brandishing his shotgun. He pointed it violently at the doctor. "Whoa there!" Silas shouted going in front of the doctor. "Open that door now or I swear I'll blast the both of you.!" He shouted. Caleb said nothing but backed away. "You cant kill us both." Dr Burke said. "At the very least you can't kill me. There are things about this room that only I have the information for. Heck, you guys don't even know how to open the door." "I don't care!" Efe shouted and pointed the gun straight at Silas' chest. "Open the door or I shoot both of you and shoot the door until it opens! Then we can collect all we need and leave this stupid place!" "Efe..." Caleb began. "A beg leave me jo! You know say I like that babe Na hin this fool wan make zombie chop?!" He cocked the shotgun and pointed it at the two men again. Dr Burke had remained behind Silas but he wasn't sure he was going to be totally safe if the man decided to pull the trigger. Everything was going to hell fast. "I'm going to count to three." Efe said. "One! Two!..." |
I was informed by a friend that the place they are housing them is terrible! No light, they have to use gen and the rooms are very hot. Also they pay for thier own drugs! And our leaders are busy snapping photo with hand sanitizers that is even antibacterial not antiviral? Where is the N1.9BILLION President Johnathan donated? Where is the N150million Dangote donated to fight the Ebola? Even the foreign doctors there are threatening to leave. And this same President just sacked 16,000 doctors?? Nigerians are you still asleep?? |
The next morning found Dr. Burke gritting his teeth incessantly. Last night had been horrible. Being a very principled and quiet man, not to mention socially impaired, he had gone through last night's hosting and laughing among the Nigerians and Silas as if he were going through torture. They had decided early on to leave him out of their talks because he didn't seem interested in communication of that sort. That in itself didn't annoy him. What pissed him off was the way they had consumed the food he was rationing out. It was after the second helping that he had put his foot down and it was even Caleb and not Silas that had sided with him on the matter. He was seriously regretting bringing Silas along with him in the first place but then he realised without Silas he wouldn't have survived in the corridor long enough to enter the panic room. Whether he liked it or not he owed Silas his life. This fact irked him no end. Silas on the other hand was glad for the new company. Just spending a few minutes alone with the doctor and he knew they weren't going to get along so well. Caleb and his crew were funny and loud and joked about everything, even their zombie experience. It made the atmosphere relaxed and gave him the much desired distraction he needed to avoid thinking about his dead wife. Silas came out of the inner room and saw the doctor at the controls in the computer room. The doctor was feeding information into the laptop and was also listening to an online radio, one of the few ones left in the U.S that was still functional. The owner called himself "Zombie FM" and seemed to have locked himself in his studio when the whole chaos began. "The scientists down at Alaska are coming up with a kind of antidote to the zombie virus. They have isolated monoclonal antibodies and tried it on lab rats and it seems to be working." The doctor said as Silas approached. "That's good news then, right? Soon they should be able to sort out this whole mess." Silas replied. The doctor didn't reply but continued to fiddle with his computer. There was an awkward moment of silence between them. Silas broke it first. "Look, there was no way I was going to let those zombies chow down on these people. I'm sorry I broke your rules but come on they are a little too stringent. I don't think I could have just sat here and let them become zombie dinner." The doctor sighed. "The rules are for a reason. The more people we have in here the more difficult it is going to be to control everyone. You can see how difficult it was to search for bite marks last night." Silas chuckled. "Doctor, you told a group of guys you have never met to strip naked in front of you and you started using your torch to prod them! It was kind of embarrassing." "But necessary!" The doctor challenged. "Efe still thinks you are gay after that incident" "What?" "Never mind". Silas said trying hard not to laugh. "Look, you are still in charge and they look like cooperative people. I don't think you'll have any problems." The sudden sound of heavy banging outside the hidden door made them almost jump out of their skins. |
Op its never easy being with a woman who doesn't like sex. Women are not built like men, they like to talk and make a lot of noise but at the end of the day they don't value sex as much as men do. That's why someone here is still blaming you after you waited 3weeks after your marriage. That being said, forcing her finally may not have been the best way to go but what's done is done. Your wife is frigid. It could be physical(from vaginismus) but from your post about her virginity and her inability to conceive a man climbing her I'm thinking its more psychological. Either way, treatment is hard and is going to require a lot of patience on your part. 1. Do not watch porn with her. It will make her feel all the more sinful and also pornstars are actors. The acrobatics they do and the duration of the sex isn't real. For those who find it difficult to give up porn Google "how porn is made". You'll be shocked. 2. There is however an adult movie you can watch that Ithink she will accept more. It is called "Better lover" or "The love guide". Different names but the same film. It is more scientific and I think even a pastor was involved in the discussion. It is a western film and explains the process of sex in a very sensible way. Ask your local film seller for it, it is quite popular. It will tell her all she needs to know, how to be comfortable with sex and enjoy it with you without violating her senses. 3. You have to be patient. 4. Treat sex like a lesson. For her sex can't be spontaneous, as long as she isn't expecting it she'll freeze up once you start initiating any pre-intimacy. Tell her a date two of you will have sex. You both must be relaxed and not stressed up e.g like returning from work or after heavy cooking or rushing around. A Saturday is preferable. She should be encouraged to talk and tell you what she likes as you are doing it to her. This is beneficial in three ways. - it let's you know what turns her on and what doesn't. - her talking about it makes her feel in control. She will know the sex will only go at the speed she wants. - talking about it can also be arousing for her. 3. When its time to penetrate you can let it be in the sitting position if she is not comfortable with the "man-on-top" or missionary position. You can even try the "woman on top" position. Am sure you won't mind as long as the end result is that you finally have sex with your wife. 4. This above session usually does not end in sex in the first attempt. She will be initially shy and some laughing and clumsiness will be involved. This is not the time to mock her skills. Doing so will be very very bad and destroy her self confidence. Be patient. By the third to fifth try you guys should be having full blown sex and be comfortable with each other's unclothedness. 5. Try to find time to give her full body massages and make it clear from the onset that sex will not be involved. It will make her feel loved and also increase her libido and if you are lucky and do it well she'll be the one to break the rule and ask for sex afterwards but if she doesn't its still OK. All the best. |
Oh boy! How come I didn't see this? I for like join oh! Nice work from the entrants so far. You guys are amazing! Jjk24 don't give up! Very good attempt! |
pickabeau1: Ehya..sorry bro..keep your head up..when you r ready to post..we your loyal fans are behindSeen it. Tried following it and got lost. Do you happen to know where I can download English episodes from? |
pickabeau1: Bro... how far with zombie tales naWent through some emotional stuff this week, still in the recovery phase ![]() Will see if I can update today. As for naruto, I stopped where sakura confronted naruto about going after sauske following the defeat of pain. Am far behind shey? Haven't been able to get any updates since then. I love that manga. Apart from the action it has some really deep life lessons. |
Double post. Concerning today's sermon; it pays to be humble. Humility opens up your heart to God and paves way for blessings and miracles. Also note that prayer goes with works. Nigerians love to pray but hate to work, then they cry when they don't see results. After praying to be faithful work by keeping away from those things that will lead you astray e.g porn, checking out women's asses while driving, losing your temper easily at the slightest provocation from your partner. There is peace is patience and resilience. Hey its Sunday. Go figure. |
SAMBARRY:Because they are not ready to do so. Ladies decide to get married to men yet refuse to listen to what men want. Its not only ladies that can walk away you know. |
kreamidiva: wear red panties. Pray, lose weight. Now this right here is the best advice. Seriously. @op I don't know why but I don't believe you are really married. |
LEAFLET: Thanks everybody...... Talking about my mom... she's no more as in i don't even know her.... Also i can't get both of them to discuss the matter with me, they will never agree! I don't know if i should involve any family member like my dad but they don't want to tell him what's going... How do i suggest a counselor where they don't even talk?/How invested are you in this? If you want to see this through then you have to surprise them. You can arrange a family meeting without thier knowledge and invite them. It is a drastic measure but necessary before they make irreparable mistakes. Some couples say everything should be kept within themselves. That in its own is another fallacy. No man/woman/couple is an island. Its not all issues a couple can solve by themselves. If it was then we wouldn't have so many divorces. Tell some elders you trust about what is going on. They will know how to go about inviting them and talking to them. You on your own would have done your part. All the best. |
greatgod2012: what about measuring everything accordingly, and after serving, one or more kids refuse to eat, what can one do?Yes this happens. Option one: force the kid to eat. Let them get used to eating a particular amount. Its all part of discipline until they leave your house. Option two: so you are not the disciplinarian type. Keep leftovers in the fridge for eating the next afternoon. Ensure same child eats his/her leftovers if possible. This instills discipline and responsibility as well as reducing food wastage. |
Common problem for the well to do families. Get a measuring cup. Have a certain standard amount you cook for all meals. E.g 4cups of rice for lunch, 3cups of garri for dinner. N1500 meat for a pot of soup that will last 3days etc. Maintain this and eventually your family will adjust to it. All the best. |
^^^ I concur. |
Op you have done a good job in giving a balanced view of the situation. Most couples start marriage out starry eyed and believing the fable of "I'm in love". That "love" is a fairytale planted into our subconscious by white people. It does not exist even in the western worlds because they too undergo the same problems and have high rate of divorce. Back to the point. From what you are saying a lot of water has gone under the bridge. The feeling of 'love' has gone and now they are seeing themselves for who they really are. 5years of ANY relationship no matter how sweet initially will do that to you. That is why the church and the laws of the land make it difficult for you to divorce, they are logical and know such challenges will arise. Marriage is first and foremost about sacrifice, not love. You partner with this person because you love the person enough to sacrifice yourself and put the persons needs before your own. A selfish marriage can never last. A man or woman looking out for himself or herself in a marriage will never be happy and will most likely divorce or separate at the end of the day. My advice, let them go back to marriage class(real marriage class preferably from an orthodox church.) . it will help them refocus the reason for the marriage. They should also consider the children because like I said marriage is about sacrifice, put the children and not yourself first. Yes I said so. Try and get them to have what is called a family session where someone or some people they both respect will sit them down without interruption and allow them to air their views. I'm not so for pastors in this kind of meeting because most of them will quite scriptures and just expect the couples to comply without airing their views. Better to get elders who have a sound moral background and hopefully are still married themselves. This should help. Prayer also works. If you can get them to pray together it will allow them voice their issues subliminally to thiwr partner in the name of prayer points to GOD. This happens in a lot of families and a listening partner makes good use of it. This is a normal problem. If they both work at it , it will even bring them closer together and make their marriage last with a better understanding between them. Shalom. |
reelup1: I need your most sincere advise.Ehen. Now I've edited your post a bit I think I understand it better. Are you seriously considering sending your wife into the lion's den because of money? Are things really so difficult? You guys have only one child, what kind of work do you do and what kind of work does your wife do? Surely you can come up with another financial plan that does not involve using your wife's body. She might even contact HIV from the man and treatment of that one is another expense on your head and she might even infect you self and you wont know. Calculate how much you will be spending per month in the home and also try and do some saving even if it is N5000 monthly it will aid you guys a lot. Things are tough for everybody so pls don't he discouraged. |
Pls don't get me wrong. Our President is very sensible. In fact he is the most sensible president Nigeria has ever had GEJ till Nigeria falls apart! ![]() In the light of the recent health catastrophe facing the nation however, one can't help but wonder what our president is thinking , what his thought processes are concerning this imminent disaster. Also does he not have knowledgeable subordinates or advisers? Does he not have someone who can explain the medical implications of what Ebola is doing to the Nigerian citizenry? Does he or do they not care for Nigeria AT ALL? One would have thought a sensible president would have done the following by now: 1. Quarantine Lagos state: Prevent entry and exit into the state even for a short time e.g the duration of the Ebola virus's life span which is about 9days to curtail the spread of the virus to other states. Quarantine Tue state for two weeks, can't he do that? 2. Purchase emergency Ebola virus test kits for EVERY state in the federation as a matter of priority. Who cannot afford hand sanitizer? Is hand sanitizer our problem that our president is snapping pictures with it so much so even the health minister was smiling as if he was presenting the cure to Ebola? How much is an Ebola test kit that the Nigerian government can't buy and place on in each federal hospital institution so people can he tested if need be? 3. Set up a team of scientists to extract the active ingredients from the plant used to make the ZMAPP cure. I mean its all there on Google, the name of the plant and the procedures that were used. Why can't we organise scientists to create a cure for ourselves? Are we still so mentally enslaved by the white race that we can't think for ourselves? Haba? 4. Buy hamzat suits for ALL the federal hospitals. A hamzat suit is said to cost N15,000 each. Even one of the senators forfieting his salary for just ONE month would suffice to buy a considerable number of hamzat suits. I'm very sure such a senator wouldn't starve because of loss of one month salary How much more the great government of Nigeria? The doctors working with Ebola victims currently NEED these suits as a matter of life and death. Why not give it to them. How can you buy one thousand hamzat suits and send only 20 or so to Lagos?? Lagos where the epidemic is the most? Shuo? I daresay the rest like hand sanitizers and health talks and awareness programs can easily be done by others but the above points I honestly don't believe to be outrageous. My dear president I voted for you o! Pls don't let me regret my vote. I want to believe maybe none of your advisors have advised you this way. Pls the Ebola scourge is not a joke. The virus can easily enter Aso rock via a single handshake. Please I humbly plead you look into these points and do something urgently. Thank you. |

She should NEVER have let him know. His first son? ![]() |
For a woman to stay and have nobody to ‘lubricate’ her is not easy at all. I will not lie and tell you that I have not slept with any man since my husband died.”OK ewwwww ![]() Secondly when did this thread turn to ghost thread? |
Ujujoan: I wouldn't tell her if I were you. She's been dating the guy for 2yrs now and I'm sure she must have seen some tell tale signs of cheating. Telling her you also know he's a cheat will only make you the enemy. But she doesn't know, does she. Op, how recent is the photo? Like Ify said are you sure its a serious thing or a mere fling? Secondly there's something one of my friend's girlfriends did. Dunno if its right but here goes. She casually initiated a discussion with her fiancee just before they were getting married to tell her about all his past relationships, plus all the girls he has ever slept with. She said she was used to guys being cheats -not that he is a cheat - but that so no girl will come and drop a bomb shell on their wedding day. I know the boys book on coded relationships advise other wise but my guy confessed every every. He said he was glad to get it off his chest and he wanted to see her reaction anyway. Funny enough she accepted it and till now they are happily married (as far as I know). At least he constantly praises her wisdom and swears to us that he hasn't had the need to look outside his marriage since. Kk story over. What I'm trying to say is, you can tell your friend to initiate a kind of discussion like that where the guy talks about his flings since he is about to enter marriage so he can get anything off his chest. He might laugh and say hell no, or he might just come clean if he is in fact doing anything wrong. My suggestion. |
@megmich am still waiting for the limitations. What is wrong with you people? There is nothing to research, the hard work has already been done by the Zmapp people. The plant has been isolated! The name is known! Its just a simple matter of importing and growing the plant, extracting the active ingredient, titrating and concentrating it and testing it on lab rats to get the appropriate dosing concentrations! What are you people afraid of? Must we wait for the white man to do something before we regard it as authentic? Are we really all mouth and no action? |
