This is the reason the Pharisees hated Jesus so much and wanted to destroy Him. They were workers of iniquity and Christ's Gospel of Grace exposed their evil works.

Absolutely!

There's nothing contextual about those whose works are evil.

They always hate the Truth being told about their evil works, and that's what the Christ Gospel of Grace does.

John 17:14 (KJV)

I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

The workers of iniquity hated the disciples of Jesus as they hated Jesus because they preached the same Gospel of Grace which testified of their evil works.
