JungleJustice01: I'll be succinct. I've messed up and I take full responsibility for my actions. All I'm trying to do now is save those close to my heart.
I'm married 2 years with an 8 month baby. I'm a faithful husband at heart but I just lost focus and landed in this deep mess.
My first stinct at adultery was late into my wife's pregnancy when I could not hold body. This situation was further compounded when I relocated due to work and come home every 3 weeks or so. My carefree attitude also contributed to this but I'm not staying them as excuses. I did what I did.
I met this deeper life young girl about a month ago. She was about 23, good looking and has an innocent air around her. Last week thereabout we met up and made out after weeks of chatting. In the process, my contraceptive broke and it happened raw for a minute or two before I replaced it.
Now one week later and I having strong symptoms of HIV exposure. Had I known, I would have gone for Pep. I am 75% sure of infection at this point.
I'm home now and I don't want to touch my wife who is constantly on my neck since I returned. I don't want to infect her or my child....and I can't come to terms with telling her everything right now. This is someone who is so faithful and she has expressly stated that she will not entertain any hint of infidelity.
I'm so done for, I need advice Faithful at heart... Unfaithful lower down. Meanwhile, what is “strong symptoms of HIV exposure”? > |

Bluffly: My take. From a professional angle. Health economics is part of health administration and this transcends that the HR does not know his job. Having an MSc in this area should not even be considered for nothing less than an administrative officer. What is his actual professional WORKING experience? > |

ADAMUdaCOWBOY: Abeg tell them. I am disappointed in Nigerian youth. Just reading the comments here will tell you why our leaders treat us the way they do. They know will take it! pixey: Some comments here are just very surprising. Imagine that silly HR applied for a position of his field and was given a junior position without a call to accept or reject. He asked that it's was not the position he applied for and they told him " That is correct! We felt this is the best position for you."Do you think he would humble? .That move was a dirty tactic and the OP's friend understands this. Msc or Bsc or whatever. It is very unprofessional. Johnsghana: The responses are shocking. I can only chalk it up to Stockholm syndrome. People have been treated so badly for so long that humiliation is considered professionalism. The HR officer said that is what he was better suited for, that is condescending. He could have said that is what is available for now. HR people are not gods and I say this an HR practitioner myself. You have to portray your company in the best possible light to jobseekers cos you never onow who might be on the other side of the desk some day.
If an Msc holders takes the job a school cert holder what job will there be for the school cert holders? This is the case with most people in the civil service that have refused to retire. Not knowing that by staying on job longer than necessary they are blocking their own children from getting jobs the refused to retire from. I don’t know these folks from a can of beans (and presumably neither do you), but... That dude has an MSc degree does not necessarily mean that he has commensurate professional experience. Accordingly, HR, having looked at his actual working EXPERIENCE, may rightly think him better suited for the proffered role. If he disagrees, he’s free to amicably keep it moving. It’s not by force! > |

seguno2: So Lagos has the same rate of children in government schools, as New York and Washington DC? Or what is the starting point for your flawed comparison What do we gain in justifying the rogues that we have allowed to ruin our government at the local, state and federal levels in the legislative and executive arms What exactly is our gain from this vain attempt at the deprivation? Comprehension issues? For re-emphasis, Lagos is an integral part of a SEVERELY UNDEVELOPED Nigeria... Thus, even if Lagos placed every kid in school, scores of new poor and un/under-educated kids will keep flooding in. Nonetheless, Lagos offers FREE public primary/secondary education to ALL resident kids... However, unlike places like NYC and Wash DC, parents are not punished (even jailed) for their kids being out of school. PERFECTION SHOULD NEVER BE THE ENEMY OF DOING BETTER...And if we RIGHTLY criticize bad governance, we should also be willing to acknowledge good governance. > |

seguno2: What is the sense of your post? Is Lagos benchmarking itself with a village or any of the 35 states? Is it not always bragging about world class facilities, even though it does not have the level of education for everyone, or mass transit that world class cities have? There are inner-city public schools in “world-class” cities such as Chicago, NYC and Wash DC just as bad as the worst public schools in Lagos - just as there are very good public schools in Lagos. A world-class city does NOT signify perfection. There are ghettos and inner-city slums in several “world-class” cities that will (relatively) rival some of the slum areas of Lagos. The reality is that the best of Lagos can match up well (relatively, because everything is relative) against the best of several other world-class cities. The new public bus system and public buses (with its card technology and ITS system) matches up well with several world-class cities (Lagos does not control PRIVATE buses like Danfo, but has now set out to reform and better regulate same), and it is building a “world-class” light rail system. Nonetheless, A CHAIN IS ONLY AS STRONG AS ITS WEAKEST LINK - and accordingly, as an integral part of Nigeria, there’s only so far that Lagos will be able to “outrun” the rest of Nigeria and will always suffer with the burden of dragging along an severely underdeveloped Nigeria along. In this regard, Lagos can never enjoy an international credit rating above that of Nigeria’s sovereign rating (which is barely above junk rating), regardless of Lagos’ own financial management or revenue generation. Similarly, under Nigeria’s tortured (largely centralized) nominal “federal” system, Lagos cannot fully control its own internal waterways, electric power (generation, transmission and/or distribution), seaports, and even basics like its educational curriculum, among several other areas. So long as Nigeria itself remains a severely UNDERDEVELOPED nation (a Third World s/hole, as I personally often refer to it here on Nairaland), there’s only so much of “world class” aspirations that Lagos can achieve, regardless of its best efforts - not least because the better and more world-class Lagos becomes, the more some of the poorest and often least-educated Nigerians vote with their feet and pour into Lagos seeking economic refuge and opportunities, putting greater pressure on Lagos’ physical and social infrastructure (for example, Lagos provides FREE education in public primary and secondary schools for all residents, regardless of state of origin) without commensurate tax revenues, as many of these poor migrants are not taxable. Nonetheless, we have to accord DUE CREDIT to Lagos. EKO ONI BAJE! > |

However, our government should make the importation of tyres easy, especially brand new tyres so that the landing cost won't be too much! The duties paid on these basic things are just crazily high when we can't even manufacture them properly here...forget all the Anammco and dunlops manufacturing because they are still importing everything!
