However, the girls seems to be a minor, in which case she would most likely be tried as a juvenile and sent to reformatory, not prison. > |

Quote me and right it down Not sure what “charge-and-bail” lawyer advised them to issue that public statement... By acknowledging impropriety with the perfumes, the church has opened itself to a wrongful death lawsuit. It is IRRELEVANT whether the pastor(s) allegedly “abused” the perfume usage... The church would still be held VICARIOUSLY LIABLE for the actions of its agents, subordinates, employees, etc. > |

DARLYNBOI: Bros calm down, our leaders are not respecting the law ( constitution) that bound us and someone is saying we shud for once obey the rule of law.
Obviously, I know if the court pronounce baba ijesha guilty... .yomi will not say that he shud be freed ...he only said he has a right to bail...or did the law say otherwise?
Agreed, he molested d poor gal ( perhaps a set up) but he has a right to fair hearing.
We don't wanna encourage impunity. You could be the next victim of lawlessness.
I come in peace. See my previous comment above... Baba Ijesha’s continued detention is consistent with the provisions of Section 35(2)(b) of the Constitution. > |

Baawaa: Though you are somehow right, but nobody will support you on this protest it means you are on your own(OYO lowa) Anthony0094: He have the right to have a fair hearing in the court detaining him without court hearing is not right, UDUJ: Truth be told, it's a bailable offence. This is not murder. ThatFairGuy1: Without prejudice, he should be release on bail. Not because what he did was right but because the rule of law must be followed.
To those calling yomi fabiyi names because of this, asking security operatives to follow due process doesn't make him an accomplice. Don't be too emotional OfficialBrendan: If the offence is bailable according to the law..then they should grant him a bail already while charging him to court. He is still a suspect until convicted by the court..not "social media" or "cctv". Even our politicians deny video evidence as "doctored" so he should get his date in court. Even for a bailable offense, bail is NOT as of right... Nonetheless, what the Constitution actually provides is that a suspect be informed of his alleged offense within 24 hours in a writing and language he understands (Section 35(2) of the Constitution), and that such a suspect must be brought before a court “within a reasonable time” (Section 35(4)). The Constitution thereafter defines “a reasonable time” to include (BEYOND 24/48 hours) ”such longer period as in the circumstances may be considered by the court to be reasonable” (Section 35(5)(b)). Given that the ongoing JUSUN strike has rendered the courts currently non-functional and therefore Baba Ijesha cannot be presently arraigned before a court of law, it is CONSTITUTIONAL under the provision of Section 34(5)(b) to continue to detain him until the regular re-opening of the courts. In the interim, any consideration on whether he would be granted an administrative (police) bail would depend on the peculiar circumstances of the case, including whether he poses a flight risk or would likely jeopardize the investigations or case (such as by harassing or intimidating witnesses, etc,). Personally, I think he is presently exactly where he belongs - until a court of law decides otherwise. > |

Komu1048: Sorry guys I need your advise.
I have this babe that we were together for like 5yrs. Please it was a distance relationship n we might not see more than once or at most twice in a year but when we do we make the most of it
When I was preparing for service she started coming with this wedding thing but I ghosted her for 2 reasons. 1. I'm not financially able 2. If I insult her she will insult me back and if I'm angry with her she won't apologise
I sha ghosted her she met another guy n marry her. Since den we hadn't spoken. But today I drive by her parent side n I saw her, I didn't call her because it's by roadside and I don't know if she will welcome me or ignore me so I prefer to talk to her on messenger and see her reply first.
I got home call her on video call, n she was happy to hear from me... Later we turn it to audio call. What started as a normal greeting lead to flirting on phone. We spoke for 1hr 30mins, from her I know her husband is in UK. My fiance is in abuja, and aside her I have not even toasted any girl let alone lay on another
The problem is my heart don't want to coz I have promise myself not to lay on another mans wife but my heart is telling me otherwise that it's the guy that collected my babe. Me I don't want to but my body want her coz the babe set n she come fine more, with her gadget bigger than I left it.
But I don't want to do what I will regret. We have book time, she was even ready to allow me come tonight but I said some other time.
Pls speak some sense into me cos If I start I might find it difficult to stop, Our feelings r coming back and that is dangerous So, you are asking anonymous faceless strangers on Nairaland for permission to cheat? SMH
Anyway, once you said that you left a long-term relationship because when you insult your partner, she has the “audacity” to return the insult, instead of begging you and kissing your feet, I knew you were immature and not someone to be taken seriously.> |

saintbillion: Photos Of Bridge Built By Desmond Elliott Vs One Built By Female Councillor
According to the reports, the picture of a bridge constructed and renovated by Desmond Elliott , the Nigerian politician and Nollywood actor who is the current House of Assembly member representing the Surulere Constituency in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has been trending online as Nigerians compared it with the bridge constructed by a female Councillor .
The two pictures of the bridge, the one constructed by Hon Desmond Elliot and the female Councillor Hon Onem Tyna Miracle, has been trending online after Nigerian youths photo mixed the pictures of the two bridges. This has generated several reactions and controversies across the internet and social media platforms.
Hon Onem Tyna Miracle, is the current Councillor of Ward 2 in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, the Southern part of Nigeria. She recently completed and commissioned a bridge which she reportedly built with the money meant for her official car. Stating that she wanted to do something for her people who has been suffering for so long as a result of the poor wooden bridge they were using.
Several Nigerians has been trolling the Lagos State House of Assembly member and praising the female Councillor. Stating that people shouldn't be judged by their affiliates, rather by their performances. The female Councillor has proven that she loves her people with her first Constituency project. Why would you use a 1000-passenger SHIP as a commuter ferry? That’s like using a giant A380 Airbus as a commuter plane...uneconomic! Even the Staten Island ferries in NYC do not carry up to 200 passengers... These 40-, 50-, 69-capacity ferries used by LAGFERRY are more than adequate. > |

App222: I did not authorize anybody to adopt my son. Never.
Pls Nigerians, what kind of wickedness is this that this evil lady wants to do with her man? Pls return my son to me.
I am the father of the boy you're talking about and I never authorized anybody to adopt my son and will never authorize or allow anyone adopt my son.
There are 2 things that made me to know from your story that I am the one you're talking about.
They are: 1. You said it's 4 years now that you've been together. This corresponds well to my story. 2. You said the child is a boy. This also corresponds well.
I am a very responsible man and I'm not irresponsible as you claimed. That must have been the lie you were told by the lady. She's a liar and has always been a liar.
She actually ran away with my son since then. Ran away to an unknown destination with my son and packed all my properties away with her. Properties worth a lot of money.
That was after she planned to kill me and assassinate me and I ran away from her to save my life. So she later after one year, ran away with my son and said she would give him to her new man friend, even after I had already planned to enroll the boy in school to register him in a school but she denied me access to the boy till today. I've not seen the boy till today.
Her dad doesn't even know where she lives. She's a complete liar, a pretender, a Jezebel and a green snake under green grass. You're a dead man if you marry her, mark my word.
She now turned round and said she had registered him in school and that I should be sending school fees in order to be extorting money from me continuously, just like she was extorting money from me while we were together and she ended up wrecking me financially and collecting all the money I had.
How can you ask me to send you school fees for a school I don't know? Location I don't know. Class I don't know.
Mr man, you want to marry a Jezebel and a manipulator, you are digging your own grave by marrying her.
Return my son to me, I want to put my son in school so that he can be trained properly with good morals. I don't want him to be taken to club every night as she takes him to club to do evil things. This is a very wicked and evil lady. You want to marry a devil, continue.... nobody will tell you when you will begin to regret it.
You people will never know peace until you return my son to me. He's not your son, he's my son, so you're a child thief for wanting to adopt my son when I the father I'm still alive and I've not seen my son for 4 years now.
Return my son to me or else..... >

So I've been dating a single Mom for almost 4years now and we're ready to tie the knot, but recently she came up with a suggestion of me adopting her son legally. Her baby daddy has actually been irresponsible right from start, nigga last saw his son when he was 4months old and he hasn't even bought ordinary diaper for the boy right from when he was delivered.
Now I'm being skeptical about taking him up legally, please i need advice from you guys, no insult please. How’s that even a question? Of course you SHOULD! Congratulations.> |

Forget all those beautiful pictures you all post about Bis terminal and schools, what economic values does it have for the state? Whether people around the state will use or not doesn't matter but I'll tell you that Anambra being the business hub of South East will surely thrive in IGR which the state has been doing very well.

SweetiliciousD: Those crop of people have finished Nigeria. They ceased power just to loot the treasury, borrow the destiny of next 50th generation via senseless loans to build over hyped projects and still borrowing.
Biafra leader achieved this feat in Biafra land without borrowing a dime and this got them roused to measure dick...
Lagos State is the most indebted state in Nigeria, building bogus ferry and bus terminals.
Shame.
Don't mind them, you can't see them attack their useless leaders but if na for southeast them go carry for head, it's certain Chinese will take over most of Lagos infastructures because of huge debt both from state and FG, Lakki deep sea port is being funded by China, the rail line is also China loan and so many others.
Guyman02: Take it easy on the Afonjarudeens who keep borrowing from Islamic bank to construct Kpako bridge by Desmond Elliot China is NOT funding the Lagos Light Rail... If it was, it would’ve already been completed, but Lagos prefers to self-fund it, which is the more prudent option.
The debt on the Lekki Port is NOT Lagos government’s debt... It’s the corporate debt of Lekki Worldwide of which Lagos is a MINORITY shareholder (Tolaram Group is the majority holder).
Meanwhile, having the “largest” debt is a meaningless assertion, without CONTEXT.... As a percentage of both GDP and revenue, Lagos’ debt is very sustainable (and relatively minuscule).
Debt, by itself, is NOT bad. Using debt capital to invest in infrastructure is SOUND policy... Not to compare apples with oranges, but it bears noting that the US is the world’s most indebted nation.> |
