xynerise: There is this common feud between some mother-in-laws and wives that is still a mystery which gave rise to this question.
Ladies, if your mother-in-law is still alive, how would you feel if your husband hangs pictures of her on the wall? I can understand if she is dead but alive, would you welcome it ?
Preciousjewel01: There's a friend of mine who doesn't get enough attention from her man in her relationship. she's always complained but he gives her same excuse "he's hustling". This time things went outta hand, after series of complaint he gave her the most savage replies. Telling her " oh,you're an ingrate, you're mad, since its attention you want, you have lots of wooers, you can chat them up when I'm offline to keep you company, go and look for your Mr perfect". It ended that way, the guy asked for a break up. My friend came running to me explaining that she only complained that he's not giving her attention. But yet its break up he wants. I told my girl, this guy doesn't deserve you. or are you blind? There are things a guy can and cannot say to his loved ones even when angry. Forget the guy.
my girl didn't listen. she came to me again saying they've settled. That he's apologised. how did he apologise? by saying "oya,I'll send you money in the morning" pls isn't that insult? But no,my girl was smiling when she received the msg. she also said, he wants to get her a new phone that's why he's been acting that way. Tried explaining to her that self respect isn't pride. Did I advice my friend wrongly ? she sees me like I hate her rn.
MIND YER OWN BUSINESS... Everyone learns at their own pace. >
SQLmastar: Okoro was a successful businessman with strings of shops all over Alaba market. He has houses and cars to his name. He decides to visit his hometown and in doing so, offers monetary and kind gifts to some of his kinsmen, according to his magnanimity. Few months afterwards, his business begins to crumble and he is finally reduced to a pauper...after selling all his properties ofcourse. You may have seen the above story played several times in our nollywood movies but I want to ask; are they real? Do these "village People" have the power to take away our sources of joy? If yes, who gave them these powers and why can't these powers be wielded to turn their own lives to good fortunes.
The reason for my post is this: I'm about to visit my hometown and would likely throw a party and render help to some of my folks because I haven't been home for some years now. But my girlfriend strongly opposes this. She says African villages are full of evil people. I don't agree with her. I'm a scientist and I believe people who crumble in their businesses may have made bad decisions and this has nothing to do with village people. My father always told me to focus and work hard. They are the keys to success. He doesn't even believe in all these spiritualisms flying around. And he has also been living in the village most of his life! Furthermore, take a look at the Western world. They don't believe in village People. Maybe that's why they are able to make economic advancements.
Handing Tottenham to Mourinho is similar to handing an already PDP bastardized Nigeria to President Buhari and expect a miracle in 5 years
Exactly! And just as Boring-ho took Spurs backwards from Champions’ League finalist to struggling for Top 4... Buhari has taken Nigeria from one of the world’s fastest growing economies to the World Capital of Extreme Poverty!! >
hedonister: I'm sure some of us are aware of the Ikeja Bus Terminal that was concluded and commissioned in 2008 but continued to make some changes.
The terminal is now fully functional and it is breathtaking. Apart from the terminal, it also has a shopping mall where you have several shops as well as a cinema.

Please help advice a sister in confusion.....
Background:
"I reconnected with my old school toaster who always spoke marriage and love. Got serious in 5 months. I've met a lot of people from his end within this period. He shows me off. Introduction was done and wedding date fixed."
Issues: Traditional is barely a week away; yet she's bleeding and scared of the future because of her discoveries:
1. The husband to be has anger issues. Ok, he's all nice and good when in good mood. But once something triggers him, all hell is let loose. The trigger can be a simple missing his call(while at work/meeting). No amount of sweet talk or explanations calms him down.
2. The shocker is that he cheats/has a fuckmate living nearby. She discovered this with evidence from their chats and hasn't been herself. The chat is detailed description of their exploits right up to the present and future plans how they'll continue after he's married. (From same chat, the other lady is aware he's getting married. He tried denying it; when it didn't work he started making excuses/begging he'll change.
3. He doesn't want any third party intervention in their affairs, not even counseling.
She's scared of the future and yet feels stuck as court marriage is done already, most preparations have been done(publicity and most of other physical arrangements), both for the traditional and wedding.
Kindly give your mature advice; she'll be reading every bit of it. (Admin kindly push to front page)
gregyboy: Is it everything we must adopt even their barbarism too
If it was africans that they saw gay practice with they will so demonize and call it utmost barbarism but since is them, they try to sweetening it, not to get world backlash
But they end up fooling folks like you
If all countries come out and call gay what it is even the white we be ashamed of themselves
But the other race especially black folks like you have innate inferiority complex already towards the white
Gaysim is a whiteman barbaric culture and should be stated as such
What of youre even a lesbian yourself
Mtcheew
First, it’s obtuse to tag homosexuality as “white” culture... Gays have existed in Africa/Nigeria as long as Africans/Nigerians have existed.
The only difference is African/Nigerian HYPOCRISY.... This same INTOLERANCE of differences underlies most African/Nigerian national issues.
Irony is when our homeland falls apart due to this Culture of Intolerance.... Same HYPOCRITES will pray, beg, lie, cheat and do anything to emigrate to “white” countries. >
folabayo: Every poor person in Nigeria is a criminal. But once u hv strong connect or you know som1 that know som1 in high places, you are immune to any form of brutality
Are the people “arresting” them rich, the government or state actors? This has NOTHING to with wealth, EVERYTHING to do with primitivity and backwardness! >
sgtponzihater1: Only 3 set of Nigerians exist at this current time.
Those with visa who are struggling to gain entry to Canada , UK, or any other country.
The second group that don't have the opportunity to travel yet, so have identified with Ipob, Afenifere, Ebube-agu, Amotekun etc.
And the last group live their lives like they have no government. They provide their own light, electricity, contribute to repair their own roads, and source for how to feed themselves and their children with no external help.
The fourth group are either looting from the system or living under the illusion that things will change.
Congrats on your Portuguese passport
Congrats bro
Or people like us who were born and educated abroad, returned to Nigeria, started businesses and employ other Nigerians...
Suspect33: Portugal is a poor country, apart from it being in Europe and the flex of becoming a European and Ronaldo brother , I'd say Nigeria >>> Portugal
During the global financial crises... Many Portuguese were emigrating to ANGOLA for work.
But being part of the EU... It has certain advantages, and has grown economically. >
TaminaliaCatapa: Shortcomings of the “Nigerian culture” in official places of management abroad
This is NOT “Nigerian culture”...smh
Perhaps it is Kpako, street or village people culture... But some of us were raised in Nigeria to be SOPHISTICATED, SELF-CONFIDENT, ASSURED and GLOBALIZED! >
Drinokrane: Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has blamed organised religion for the rape epidemic in Africa, saying women walked around naked for thousands of years before the coming of Christianity and Islam, Igbere TV reports.
The 38-year-old made the point in a social media post on Monday in which he declared that “women weren’t created for men.”
According to him, 95 percent of rapists are either Christians or Muslims.
Seun’s statement is coming two weeks after actor and comedian Olanrewaju Omiyinka, alias Baba Ijesha, was arrested for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl sexually.
It also coincides with the rape and killing of Iniobong Umoren, a philosophy graduate of the University of Uyo, who left her home in search of employment.
Miss Umoren’s was killed by alleged serial rapist 20-year-old Uduak Akpan who lured her with a fake job offer.
PREACH ON, BRO...
However, MISOGYNY is virtually cultural in Nigeria.... As can be seen regularly on Nairaland - and not just among the legion of Rapist-sympathizers! >
Sunnybay7: His opinion, rapist and child abusers thrive more under a docile and manipulated system. If ijesha guy was wealthy you would have seen some hungry people carrying placards up and down trying defend to him.
Baba Ijesha is famous and wealthy enough, but nobody is carrying placards for him - outside of Nairaland! >
Should be titled “Hollywood movies that spoke about Boko Haram”, not about Nigeria.... The danger of a single narrative, once Oyibo latches onto a subject matter it rides it to death. SMH >

Tales by the Moonlight... Military rule in Nigeria is NOT AN OPTION whatsoever.
Nonetheless, the military’s allegiance should be Nigeria and the Constitution... It should NOT be to “the present administration” nor should it be to President Buhari. >
