LeBron can Guard all Five cool

Stop Hayyytin Mangggg....That hate gon raise ya blood pressure.
[/quote]Lebron can only guard players he has some sort of advantage over! Size or height or a mediocre offensive player! Lebron couldn't guard Dirk couldn't guard JET!! He couldn't guard Tim Duncan in his prime or KG! Face it he only became a good one on one defender a couple of coffees ago (weakside blocks don't count fam)
Lool guarding Kendrick Perkins don't count that's like telling me he can guard Ben Wallace! Anyone can guard an offensively challenged center
And no I'm not a hater

Roland17: Personally i would take Kobe all day..

LBJ is talented, but i feel like he's a hyped product of the social media and ESPN..

Today's modern game has greatly evolved where shooters are the all in all there are no more low post players or defenders, that makes breezing past players easier today, like u mentioned, there is no way LBJ would have being the best in the era of Charles Barkley, Dikembe, Olajunwon, Drexler etal.

Mentally, Kobe is king over LBJ, like MJ he's able to get into your head, he takes trivial things personal in the game and it does not surprise me MJ picked him over LBJ.

Like my pal A40 noted on the NBA thread about Kobe still being relevant, competing and guarding the best players in the opposing teams, who are much younger, speaks a lot about Kobe..

LBJ can enjoy the frenzy right now, but i think Uncle Kyrie is coming faster than we imagine, that kid would happen so fast Durant would wonder how it happened!!!
Loool Kyrie wey u reach to born na him you dey call uncle?
Kobe is greater than Lebron I know Lebron is the rave of the moment now but the things Kobe could do with the game on the line! He has that killer instinct which Lebron is still gradually acquiring. Lebron is also fortunate to have started out in a weaker conference! If his Cavs were in the West he probably wouldn't sniff the playoffs where a win % of over .500 doesn't guarantee you playoff basketball
People say Lebron can guard all five positions! This has to be the biggest fallacy in all of basketball. What he is good at is guarding people he has a size or height advantage over

You are actually right as regards the low-post defense and defenders in the league right now! There are so few good ones in the league so much so that most of the good players at that position are old-school guys like Duncan and KG! Chandler is decent so is Noah and Marc Gasol too but the rest are just meh! Dwight relies more on his athleticism and explosiveness than the fundamentals

RuuDie: Of course, there is a n element of doubt; I am watching on Tv - abi na me be Pique or you, CR7!!? I admit that Pique did not get the ball but I also insist that he did not take out the man! Take a good look at the movement and positioning of CR7's knees when he was going down.

SkySport analysts - *smh* - na today. The same analysts that were vigorously trying to prove that there was no handball on the build-up to Milan's first goal. By the way, if an agrieved player feels he has a case, won't he complain!?
You admit that Pique didn't get the ball? Ok your case is even better at least you don't think it was a clearance like Ajanlekoko who saw the match live and forgets that he doesn't have the advantage of seeing the replays on the spot else he woulda seen that Pique didn't get the ball

You saw the gif posted by coogar look at it and tell me there was no contact between Ronaldo and Pique!! Ahn ahn do you guys just like to argue for the fun of it?

HNIC: My two and half cents..
While the board sit fat and make millions and see Arsenal as an investment company and not a football club,Arsene is enjoying a good measure of protection from them when poor results occur while hell bent on his pet project of winning laurels with players he developed or bargain basement buys.
If 70 million abi 100 million was available, Give the gaffer a mandate to spend everything in his quest for trophies or be fired, you will see Wenger dropping this frugal ideas.(he has spent big money on players before...check)
On one hand, the present board is grateful they have a manager like AW who is able to spend peanuts and get them into the money spinning Champs league evry year, ensuring stability of the club.On the other hand, the fans are suffering. Its 8 years now without a trophy and when you are a top club or you have a rich history like Arsenal, changes normally happen.
Unfortunately, there are no changes. The gaffer is still there, funds are promised every year(they aren't spent), our best players leave because they get better wages else where.
This can only continue when your fans remain loyal to a fault, but in this 'internet -fuelled' football world we are in, the fans are beginning to complain. The Board looks to be under severe pressure since the barren season started in 2005.This summer will be crucial for Arsenal as a football club
I coulda sworn someone typed this last season. What has changed apart from diapers on babies?
Arsenal truly need to hit rock bottom (miss out on the UCL) for things to change or by God you would be here sametime next year typing this same thing! Infact you better save it in your notepad or something
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by A40(m): 7:08pm On Feb 27, 2013
AjanleKoko: Th good thing is, I saw the game live. I was sitting one floor above the terrace, right behind the Barca goal.
Pique stretched out, made the clearance into touch, and Ronaldo dived for the pen. Almost zero contact. But it was in the box. Once you use your feet in the box, you are inviting a dive for a pen. But Pique had no choice cos the goalie was already stranded.
Chimoo! How is it a clearance when he made no contact with the ball whatsoever?? Ronaldo is a world renowned diver but on this occasion he didn't dive!! Pique shoulda played a shepherd and guided him to the byline! Its not like the angle really favored Ronaldo so Pique sliding there was a checker move

RuuDie: No. I do not think Pique's leg made contact with CR7's and if it did, it would have been the fleetest, faintest of touches...something like a fly tipping over an elephant grin
"If it did" means there is an element of doubt but you admit he was nowhere near the ball right? Anyway even the Sky sports analysts and commentators repeatedly asked what Pique was complaining about
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 6:33pm On Feb 27, 2013
Ahahahahaha this guy is on blue magic! I'd keep Bynum tho but there's no way in hell they should pay him the max contract he is looking for! How can a sicknote like Bynum be holding out for a five year 100million dollar contract! Over 50 games this nigga has not played one and still wants top dollar? Kai imagine if one of us missed 50 days of work in a year! If my unborn child no take up sports walahi e go hear am!

@occam
A healthy Bynum is still one of the best centers in the league lol the keyword is healthy! With Jrue Holiday running the point they would make a good inside-outside combo. I think some performance incentive has to be agreed! I'm all for player financial security but some of these guys are just robbing teams blind

RuuDie: It didn't look so to me. . .and neither to the assistant ref on that side of the pitch who was probably closest to the incident!
It was a clear penalty! That the assistant ref didn't see it is his fat luck. You should blame Pique for his schoolboy defending! Just show Ronaldo to the byline he didn't have to slide at all! Instead he slid and was no where near the ball. Can you tell me Pique made any contact with the ball? Did he make contact with Ronaldo's legs? Answer that honestly and tell me if its a PK or not

ddippset: and how about ramos' body check on pedro? He left the ball and went all out for pedro sending him crashing to the ground. Is it because nobody is talking about it?
Are u serious?? You mean the Pedro that was on his way to the ground before any contact! Come on you know better than that

You guys should focus on getting Messi some help!! Fix your leaky defense and stop giving excuses
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by A40(m): 11:48am On Feb 27, 2013
RuuDie: ....And I also feel that Madrid PK was quite soft. . .the way CR went down reminded me of FT's fall against J. Evans at the bridge. He already had his knees folded and I doubt if Pique even made any contact at all.
That was a stonewall penalty!! What are you talking about?

Roland17: .

Wenger's problem is self inflicted by his rigid recruitment policy and youth policy
His youth policy na scam! How many decent players has this endless youth policy produced? He buys and resells at a higher price! That is not youth policy

Roland17: .
, i have said this before and i would reiterate, if Wenger decides to dump his policy on spending, the drought would end, its not like the Arsenal is broke, Wenger believes he can prove the world wrong by winning trophies with lesser experienced and known players.
Fa fa fa foul!! The competition has left Wenger behind! Is it his no spending policy that is responsible for not beating Bradford city or Blackburn? Or Birmingham in the League cup!
Wenger knows Arsenal is buttering his bread! He enjoys the stability and fat paycheck and can always blame his trophylessness on lack of funds
If not he would have left long ago!
