Deathisfreee:Wretched vermin, oyinbo wey dem dey scam no be human being? Some of them have committed suicide, some of them have gone mental. I know if someone wiped the little change you had in your bank account, you'll want to jump off of third mainland bridge but your ignorant sef cannot put yourself in the shoes of those oyinbos because you think money grows on trees. Your mentality is the reason you are wretched not the government! |
Topmaike007:Goodluck, when Xi Lee clones you and sells your copy for 100k per year on Alibaba no complain o ![]() |
Deathisfreee:Oyinbo no complain because your papa or mama na oyinbo? |
Topmaike007:The real question here is who would you rather trust with your sensitive data. American government that cares heavily about their own reputation or Chinese government that can tell the world, go and screw yourselves . China no dey fear anybody or anything, they can clone humans in one minute. |
The case would have been more substantial if this was his first position in Nigerian politics. How can you disqualify someone now when he was deemed qualified for several elections. The court won't be that stupid! Furthermore shouldn't this be handled by the legislative arm of government? Impeachment is one of their core duties or is Nigeria playing by its own rules ![]() |
Kapachumarimari:So the ones who prefers not to steal and make money the right way are STUPID? Your philosophy is the same philosophy kidnappers and armed robbers use. They are all trying to survive! |
Kapachumarimari:I disagree! People have their faults and not everyone is perfect but when your day job is stealing money that people work hard for then you're not only a criminal but a cold hearted devil. Politicians are bad, yahoo boys are bad too. Let's not put every Nigerian in the same bracket. I for one worked hard to get to where I am oday and I'm still working hard, I've gone from washing floors and lifting boxes at warehouses to managing a whole I.T audit team. Imagine if someone wiped all the money I've saved, do you think I'll forgive such a person because politicians and most Nigerians are also stealing? Till it happens to one of us, we'll never know how truly devastating i feels to be scammed! |
Kapachumarimari:Do you think fraudsters don't exist in the UK or the USA? I mean there are plenty of job opportunities there yet they exist! Making excuses for immoral activities is laughable. Is Nigeria poorer than Libya? Poorer than Liberia or Senegal? Yet those countries have a better image than Nigeria when it comes to fraud. Where did you get 90%? That's absurd! We have gainfully employed youths in this country, we have those who refuse to soil their family name. We have entrepreneurs and go-getters, sure they might not be where they want but they realize good name is better than ill gotten wealth that could be taken away in an instant once caught by EFCC. You keep saying if job opportunities exists but tell me whose job is it to provide? I bet you blame the government right? Did you ever bother to think that the reason why countries like USA and England succeeed is because of the effective partnership between the government, private and public sectors? What have you invented to spur innovation? What problems have the youths solved to warrat investing in them? Average Nigerian graduate cannot compose a well formatted CV, they can't even successfully pass an interview. Average Nigerian even when given the opportunity would rather look for a way to get rich quick by doing shady deals within the company. Our problem is not only lack of jobs or opportunities, it is lack of a well guided moral compass! Most people would say leave yahoo boys alone because they see the whites as strangers but let one of their family get scammed and watch as they rain abuses on the scammer, DOUBLE STANDARDS! |
hollamanng:You did not answer the question, if armed robbers came to rob youor someone close to you like a brother and sister, would you plead for the armed robber knowing he or she robbed you or your family of everything worked for? Let's stop all these nonchalant attitude! The only reason you cannot sympatize with the victims of yahoo fraud is because you've never been in there situation, over 30% commit suicide or develop mental illness. Ordinary Nigeria loses 100k, he would feel like the world is ending, not to talk of millions, I'm sure if the whites had something like juju, half of yahoo boys would be dead or exhibiting madness by now ![]() |
hollamanng:Next time an armed robber robs you or someone close to you, beg people not to hate or pray for the armed robber to be caught and jailed. |
Kapachumarimari:Do you think there is no corruption in the USA? Do you think we don't have graduates there working as cleaners or unemployed? Rather than scam or steal, those people would rather reinvent themselves than to become criminals. Your train of thought is that because government is bad, yahoo boys should be left alone. This is very bad! Who's going to fix the government? Is it not people like you and I? How can we fix it if we are already engaging in illicit activities? How can we fight corruption when we are corrupt ourselves? The reason you don't see yahoo as a major problem is because they never scammed you or someone close to you. Imagine you save all the money you had for several years only for one of them to wipe it away in just one day, will you not want to jump off 3rd mainland? |
hisexcellency34:Yea he was so frugal, he wiped out most of the advancements made by Fashola. A dirtier, poorer and more chaotic Lagos, well done genius ![]() |
For all the hatred that Trump gets, no president in the last 2 to 3 decades has done more to challenge the status quo than Trump. Dude is a blabbermouth, he's very vindictive but at the same time knows most of the business tricks in the books. China has the U.S by the balls tho, China plays by its own rules while U.S must abide by international and ethical laws. |
Kapachumarimari:You can have all the degree in the world and still be homeless, hungry and jobless. All the education in the world won't save you from a bad attitude or poor interviewing skills. Nigeria has lots of problems, yahoo or 419 is one of them, if you don't see anything wrong with it, leave your ATM card number and PIN on a public forum, watch someone take all your money and then forgive that person as he or she is only trying to survive! |
scaramucci:English is not the official language of law ![]() |
Another failed product of the Nigerian education system.....SMH! |
[quote author=Ijawwomaninoyo post=78503329]Can someone tell these people this is child abuse and invasion of privacy? Why upload children without their parent's consent? This is totally wrong and an embarrassment to the child and the family How much did the person give to the children to eat good food? Soon she will upload her account for donations to feed the children. [/quote Invasion of privacy where health is concerned? Are you okay? The only thing the person did wrong was not to throw away the water and help the kids with better food or at least help educate the parents. Do you think CNN cares about invasion of privacy when they show the villages in Africa and their predicament? |
Classic Zlatan....He sometimes mistakes himself for the Undertaker ![]() P.S. You don't ban Zlatan, Zlatan bans you ![]() |
ScotMisile:They failed to handover to a capable hand like Fashola. Trust me if the governors in the East did just half of what Fashola did for Lagos, they'll be hailed as heroes but instead most of their protege ended up biting the fingers that fed them. |
ScotMisile:It worked from 1999 to 2007, I see no reason why it won't work again. SE and SS were dominated by strong men with far reaching power from state to federal level, from Orji Uzor Kalu to Igbinedion, all had Tinubulike tendencies and massive support from the people. |
One thing is clear here, there was no objectivity in the write up. From the opening paragraph it was clear that the Author speaks not on facts but emotional bias. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, so I'll leave mine. Tinubu is not a self acclaimed leader of APC, his handwork and dedication to the party made him so. I hate to talk of ethnicity here but even the comment here on Nairaland seems to point to severe hatred of this man by people of SE/SS. If this is the case, I'll implore y'all to drink milk and calm down. This tactic was deployed in 2016 all the way till the last election, it didn't work! Tinubu is too smart for all that, Tinubu has no ambition to be vice president or president, he is a king-maker. The man certainly has his flaws but make no mistake, the SE/SS would gladly trade their top 5 politicians to get a man with a vision like Tinubu. Say what you will, he has certainly done more for the SW than the likes of Obasanjo or Bode George, he is JAGABAN....put some RESPECT on his name! |
This is stupid, there are laws and fines for common traffic violations. Write the man a ticket and move on, unless it was a traffic offense tagged as a felony, there's nothing warranting community service. Once again, another goof by people who should know better! |
In a country where employers are already cutting staff and looking for excuses not to hire more people, are dignified buses our greatest concern? What a shame! |
trapQ:Fairy tale? The information is literally out there if you care enough to Google, why are some Nigerians so LAZY? https://immigration.findlaw.com/citizenship/can-your-u-s-citizenship-be-revoked-.html |
martineverest:Not this one! This is a Constitutional requirement, as long as the citizen did not naturalize aka come from another country before being granted citizenship, Trump can't do shi! |
trapQ:You're speaking jargon. A person born in the U.S cannot have his or her citizenship revoked, they can renounce it themselves or join up with terrorist groups like ISIS which is the same as saying they are no longer American but the government does not revoke non naturalized citizenship....Don't tell me about American policies, I've studied it most of my life! |
martineverest:Stop writing rubbish, he was born in the U.S., his citizenship cannot be revoked! |
Chidimizzle:Look at your example, you're talking about work permit compared to someone who already has the right to work in a country. Let's stop comparing apples and oranges. When sponsorship is not a factor and both candidates have equal qualifications, there is no law that encourages preference for a EU citizen over a non EU citizen with valid work papers. I think you're confusing EU citizens with those that are legally able to work in a region. If you require a work permit in order to gain employment, you can't realistically expect to have the same chances as those that don't require one can you? |
Chidimizzle:Majority of the jobs in the EU are not reserved for its citizens alone. Even in the U.S we have jobs reserved exclusively for citizens but they represent less than 10% of the job opportunities available. There is no European law that flat out encourages discrimination! |
Your orientation is too pessimistic for my liking, in fact your mindset is directly correlated to your predicament. People gave you options of U.K, Canada and you've shot down every suggestion because of your preconceived notions. Let me tell you it is not easy to find or keep professional jobs anywhere, yea you have a degree, SO WHAT? Millions of people have the same degree, millions more have the work experience, so tell me why should THEY PICK YOU OVER THEM? What separates you from the herd? The opportunities you are looking for can be found in germany, U.K or Canada, better leave that mindset that Africans are lowest on the totem pole when it comes to professional jobs, that's pure hogwash! Do you even network? Have you volunteered at organizations? Sometimes it's not the job that matters but getting one foot in the door. You can start at entry level and get promoted easily because of your degree and work ethics. My friend, WAKE UP! |
SOFTENGR:8/10 times, a police officer in Nigeria is easily identifiable. Even with the scenario that you posted, you better be a damn good runner or very physical because if the officer shoots, you're likely to die than escape. Most of the time, these police officers are nothing but hungry, frustrated souls, you'll be surprised what 500 Naira can do especially when you've done nothing wrong. You have a point tho, they are poorly trained but personally for me since I'm not a runner, I'd rather part with small change than to argue. I treat police the same way I treat armed robbers! |
There's no need to resist arrest, whether right or wrong, do not argue in the face of guns or poorly trained police officers. You've only got one life, do not let a frustrated soul take yours away! |
