CFCman:I think we are talking about two different things here so I like to clarify: 1: Entering the U.S and staying beyond your visa is a crime but currently not regarded as criminal. It only bars you from future admission and it is thus regarded as a civil matter. 2. Entering the U.S under false pretenses or without a visa(Crossing the border, smuggling, false documents etc.) is a crime punishable by up to six months in jail. 3. Whether you entered with a visa and over stayed or entered without a visa, the moment you are caught for even a minor offense and a background check is done, you can be incarcerated pending a trial. 2 Likes 1 Share |

shinarambo1:Unfair, YES! Unlawful, NO! Trump has already said that within his first 100 days in office, he is going to rescind every executive order made by Obama. This means DACA will no longer exist. He also said that his priorities is to deport those with criminal records, this means that if you are a law abiding citizen even though you are illegal you won't be sent back during his first term and there's a belief that he is going to work with Congress to develop an action plan for the illegals who are not criminals, this might mean getting green cards that have to be renewed every 2 or 3 years. If we listened only to the biased media, we would all want to kill Trump but when you actually read the man's proposal and look at his history of businesses, you can't help but to be amazed! 3 Likes |

Their parents would face deportation and the children would be deported along with the parents unless they've reached the age of 18 in which case they can file an appeal. If you arrived the U.S illegally or overstayed your visa, you are a CRIMINAL. The U.S for most part has been lenient on this issue for many years but now there is a business man in charge fueled by a strong urge for change by the American people. It is the job of any reasonable government to investigate companies, schemes and gigs which targets consumers in the country. From my understanding of MMM, it is a peer lending scheme, where lenders and borrowers make an agreement, the yield is 30% profit in 30 days but what happens when the borrower defaults? What happens if more and more people starts to default? This is where government's intervention is crucial. The owners of MMM should register properly in Nigeria so that government would know the parties responsible when things goes sour but then again this is Nigeria, we don't like law and order, we prefer shortcuts and quick money, this unfortunately leads many people to their early grave! 1 Like |

I don't believe this sh*t for one minute, unless the man is under a spell. Even if it is some kind of mental disease, the man would have been exhibiting some other wayward behavior before getting this far so something is just not right. Either way it's best the court grants them the separation because issues like this cannot be rectified. We cannot fully discount the woman's claim and at the same time we can not automatically assume the man is guilty without some sort of evidence. When the child complained of pains in her private, was she rushed to the hospital? This would have been the evidence needed to substantiate her claim! 2 Likes |

Bankers especially those of a reputable bank like Zenith must surely have automated money counters, with these counters they could count Billions in 1 or 2 days. America’s future post-Trump’s triumph is uncertain because what Trump stands for, the little that we know about that, raises nothing but anxiety, definitely not confidence. America has as President in waiting a man elected on the wings of sheer populism and racist, nativist propaganda. His campaign was anchored on the hate-propelled belief that the only way to make America great again is to shut out Muslims, blacks, immigrants, intruding neighbours from Mexico and Latin America, keep Americans for Americans only so they can have jobs and prosper, and the spin that America is not safe in the hands of women whom he considers fit only as objects and pieces of decoration.It's clear the author of this write up did it's research through CNN. The keyword everyone seems to be missing is ILLEGAL. Trump will attempt to deport anyone in the U.S illegally. Illegal immigration is a felony crime and is unfair to those being rejected at the U.S embassy when they try to come in legally. Trump wants to build a wall to prevent Mexicans crossing the Southern border, he claims most of them bring crimes such as rape, robbery and drugs. Some people see this as racists but if you have the opportunity to live in a predominantly Latino populated area,you would see first hand how these people watch out for each other, hiding drugs, guns and so on in their community. These areas including the Ghetto are responsible for over 60% of the murders committed in the U.S on a yearly basis. Finally to those saying Trump hates blacks, he's going to deport Nigerians and so on, please chill out. Obama has deported more people than the past 3 presidents combined but the bias media will not say anything, Trump will only deport those who are ILLEGAL, it does not matter whether you are black, white or other. 3 Likes |

I personally voted for Trump because of all the biased media and celebrities. They want to continue pushing the Gay/lesbian agenda and completely kill of religious organizations. Apart from the economical and emotional consequences, I voted for Trump because he is the outsider. Enough with all these politicians, 8 years of Obama and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING was done for the Black race, Hilary a continuation of Obama would have meant another 4 to 8 years of mediocrity. Ovokoo:Number 1 is the main reason why Hilary lost. The media spun this lie to try to paint an hard working, patriotic man like Trump as evil, most of the bloggers and media cannot even show a video where Trump insulted blacks and latinos. The closest thing they came up with is the fact that he wants to build a wall to keep illegal immigrants from coming in thru the Mexican borders. He said Mexico does not send their doctors or lawyers but rather most of the people crossing the border are committing crimes like rape, murder and drugs. This is definitely verifiable as those three categories have been way up for the past 10 years. For blacks, he said he'll deport those that come here under the pretense of education but decided to stay and abuse their student visa, he said he'll restore law and order instead of the killings of police officers who work hard to protect the innocent people of this country. When you rely on the media as your sole source of information, it is easy to be misled. Now to your other false allegations, you said Trump has not been paying taxes since 1995, another lie! Trump pays taxes on his businesses, his investments and so on but as a businessman if you made an investment worth about 1 Billion dollars and you lost that investment, there is a tax exemption where you can write off those losses, this is what Trump did! His exemption qualified him to write off future taxes until his losses are completely balanced. As a smart businessman do you expect him to do otherwise? My people can read but they can't comprehend, this is the biggest downfall of many Nigerians. The man used Okra has an example but the ideology can be used for any form of agriculture. The main message here is instead of waiting on the government to provide some imaginary job before you feed yourself and/or your family, use what you have to survive. A lot of us have completely forgotten about how highly fertile the Nigerian soil can be and rely on importing things like tomatoes, rice, beans and so on, we need to start looking inwards and change our mentality otherwise the future is grim for so many! |

He is still using the tactics from the military era, his intentions are noble and justified but we live in a complicated world now and a president must not only be strong but also flexible. I believe he surrounded himself with the same hounds that led to the demise of the last administration and his efforts are being squashed before they even lift off. Our problem lies beyond Buhari, it is embedded deep within a lot of Nigerians' mentality. Even the people that are complaining of poor economy are still going out to buy Samsung and Apple phones, they are still buying imported things instead of focusing on local brands. Can't we just stop this blame game and focus on survival. GEJ could afford to rely on other sectors of the economy to increase GDP due to the fact that 11% of oil at almost $100 per barrel practically ensures Nigeria would never go into a recession. Buhari met the same oil at less than $40 per barrel and an economy stagnant due to his noble but ignorant gesture of trying to nip corruption in the bud. You cannot blame one without blaming the other as they both contributed in one way or the other to this disaster we call recession. The way forward is what every citizen should be thinking of, how do we move away from this dependency on oil? How do we stop the over reliance on imports and continue to grow our exports? Buhari should wake up and see that the people are suffering, sometimes it's best to compromise by thinking of the greater good than trying to fight a justified war that would only result in more hardship for Nigerians. |
