Hi everyone..
I have noticed lately that for itemso on Aliexpress, there's an astronomical difference between price as displayed on product page and total cost of item on checkout, and I'm not talking about shipping cost.
Is it tax or what that accounts for an additional almost 100% cost of the item...? I dont get?
An item whose display price is say N5,000 (pre tax) and shipping say $3 could on checkout be quoated to be $14 or more..
Is there a way around this please....?

Set your currency preference on AliExpress to dollar. Whenever they display products in Naira, it is calculated based on CBN official rate @ ₦463.

I ordered a phone and phone case from different sellers on the 15th of April and I chose AliExpress Standard Shipping for both.

The phone seller shipped with Singapore Shipping while phone case seller used Speedaf. I got a call this morning to pickup the phone at the post office while phone case is still stuck with the Customs failed message.

Does that mean the airport strike did not affect shipments that came via the Post Office?

That is a wrong mindset to have. Nigeria is in this current state partly because PDP has been a very useless opposition party. Even if he loses in court, an active and noisy opposition keeps the ruling party in check and puts them under pressure to perform well.

4 . Because of this stupidity Nigerian Muslims will be leading Nigeria for 24 straight years uninterrupted.. Many of you might never see a Christian president in your life time again left for a miracle
5 .they have set Igbo national politics back at least 30 years .

lol. PDP decided to give their ticket to the highest bidder and not the most promising candidate. They then turn round to blame Peter Obi for their dismal outing. How are they sure that INEC would have been a neutral umpire if race was strictly between Tinubu and Atiku.

Did not matter who the competitors were. An electoral body in the pocket of politicians would determine the winner, not voters.

In electoral politics, you cannot force the voters to like you. Obi voters were mostly first time voters and were not interested in voting for anyone besides Obi. If it was just Atiku vs Tinubu on Ballot, they would have stayed home.

No Nigerian Politician went bankrupt in the aftermath of ENSARS riots. It was innocent Nigerians thar suffered.
