One of those fictional Nairaland Posters I guess. huh

Properties › Re: Advanced Rents Banned In Lagos: by abhosts(m): 2:14pm On Jun 09, 2009
Inasmuch as the government has good intentions, monthly rent arrangement is not feasible in Nigeria at the moment. One year payment should be set as maximum rent advance.
Family › Re: Should He Take His Wife Back? by abhosts(m): 12:05pm On Jun 09, 2009
Your relation is only making matters worse by rushing into another marriage. Just because his ex stood by him during one challenge does not mean that she is any better his wife. Besides, you are probably not telling the whole story. Is your relation a wife beater? Cos no parent will be in a hurry to send their daughter back to a wife beater.

I wonder how those folks would be taught to use a wide array of third party software that do not support Nigerian languages. Also, when those folks come online, how many websites will make provision for them? Nairaland?  grin grin grin

Honestly speaking, the attacks towards this dude are unwarranted. He asked if sagging breast at a young age means a girls has been reckless with her body. Now what is dumb about that question?
Webmasters › Re: Fraudsters Break Into Glo Promo Website by abhosts(m): 3:19pm On Jun 01, 2009
Sorry, if i came across as offensive. Companies in Nigeria do not use separate websites to run promos. So it is obvious that the reporter does not know what he talking about. He has just made his company a potential lawsuit target.
Webmasters › Re: Fraudsters Break Into Glo Promo Website by abhosts(m): 12:43pm On Jun 01, 2009
@Yawa,

I don't think you understand what you are talking about.

There is no such thing as a Glo Promo site. The site has been suspended by the web host, so it obviously belongs to the fraudsters and not GLO.

But honestly speaking, why should a Nigerian web hosting company even agree to put up such a domain in the first place? It has scam written all over it.

This thread has been very insightful, but surprising and confusing as hell.
Can't believe what u guys are paying in Naija  - much more than here.

I might have to rethink this few months in naija thing. I need real broadband without download restrictions for 1 of my businesses to survive. I was looking into getting a house in VGC - anyone know what's reliable there and what speeds? I wasn't expecting the 300Mbps minimum(wireless, much faster wired) I'm used to, but this is an eye-opener.

Any advice would be appreciated. OK, It's going to cost a lot more, even for what u guys are getting, but is there any way to get real high speed internet service ANYWHERE - whatever the cost? The plan was Lagos and Abuja, but I can be based wherever I can work(meaning fastest ISP).
Please forget it. Even the big Internet Service Providers in Nigeria do not have up to 50Mbps for their whole network.

Pastor Adeboye owes no one any explanation over his newly acquired Jet, so you whiners can just continue to whine till  the next century. I find it appalling that those who criticize this guy know absolutely nothing about him or the way the RCCG operates. Some posters on this thread have already incurred the wrath of God upon themselves even without knowing it.

MTN's night plan is a no-go-zone for now. They probably configured it like that on purpose to force people to subscribe the 24hour plan. My last night plan expired with over 2Gig of unused bandwidth. The connection just kept on freezing after every 5 minutes.
Romance › Re: My Story by abhosts(m): 4:17pm On May 20, 2009
Davidcares:
I thought I knew the meaning of LOVE until recently, Love is wicked, love is deceitful, love is betrayal, love is foolish, love is stupid, the list is endless, guys u might be wondering why i choose to define love in dat way, well I used to know love as Kind, gently, honest, sincere, beautiful,

I am dating a girl for Four years now and it has been a very lovely relationship. She is the girl of my dream, the first time we met , I told her I was going to marry her dat was way back then when I was at the school. I was in my final year and she was in 100 level. I has been the supportive and the caring type and has always been there. I had nothing but she was still with me.

As I write this my heart is still full of pains. I am presently working n doing fine. I do care for her, in fact, we are already taking about getting marry. So you see, she is not just my girlfriend but my FIANCEE. Last three weeks she told me that she will be going to her uncle's place for the weekend. My mind did not go down well so I told her no, but she eventually went. I was callling her but the she talked you will know something fishing is going on. So on Sunday i called her that I will be coming over to her uncle place, she told me that she is not there that she is in other house. I knew something was wrong, I could have that day but I had to go to office for an important work. Could believe that My fiancee told me that her battery is down and she off her phone when it was 10pm  i called her throughout the night but the phone was off . I could not sleep. Meanwhile she was already one and half month pregnant for me since her mother will not allow her to get marry with the pregnancy, we decided to terminate it. she came back on Monday to my house so dat she from there go to work.

That morning we went to the place we would terminate the pregnancy, her phone rang but the doctor was already to carry out the termination so i collect the phone from her but u put of some form of Resistance, in the process the call cut. I however collected it from her. so, i called the number and the first I heard was " BABY HOW ARE U". cut the phone and few mins later the guy sent a text saying " I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR COMING OVER FOR THE WEEKEND,  When I saw this heart was boiling, so I sent a text to the guy that wat was it that he enjoy, the guy sent a text back saying "I ENJOY THE FOOD YOU COOK THE THINGS YOU BROUGHT AND THE X.   Imeediately I saw this I was running temperature my heart starting beating faster and faster tear started falling down my eyes. This is someone that I wanted to marry, that I love with every beat of my heart, could be sleeping with another man wit my baby inside of her(after dis I wasn't even sure I was the owner of the baby) I cried and cried and cried i had to call my office that I can come that I was sick. When this happened I did not eat for three days, this is real because I wasn't just hungry. A lot of questions was running through my mind. When we got home she was crying, she told me she met the guy two month ago and all dat,  Could you believe that I called the guy, we talked and he said he dis not know that we have gone that far. He said they just met.

The issue now is that I still love her and I dont know what to do . She begged me said it will never happen again and that she does not want to loose me. I have forgiven her, honestly I have but I can't seem to forget easily even as much as I tried because a lot of questions keep coming.

The reason why am writing this on nairaland is that I can not tell anybody not even my best friends.
To be sincere, your story is no different from the everyday story of a girl cheating on her guy. That you try to gain sympathy by referring to an unborn child you have probably murdered already is plain cheap.

Ironically, nobody here is showing any pity for that unborn child that cannot defend itself from the consequences of your randiness.
Crime › Re: Death Penalty For 419 Scum by abhosts(m): 4:49pm On May 19, 2009
Such cannot be implemented under a civilian dispensation. It can only be carried out by a military dictator. Be that as it may, the rise of 419 in Nigeria is due to the fact that even the basis laws are not being applied to offenders. If that can be done effectively, there will be a drastic reduction in 419 related cases.

Those guys have ruined the reputation of Nigeria.

It seems some people do not even read a whole thread before posting. This Guy has been exposed as a fictional writer. Please ignore him.

It is amazing that most of these agnostic folks have no moral compass themselves, yet they love to judge others.

Seton:
sincerely .ng has been  a torn in my flesh 'cos it has made me to lose many more deep pocket customers because of the fact they cannot register a domain for me, a .gov.ng for a local government of that matter after going through all the process. Twice i have tried to register in December 2008 as free and also april 28, 2009 when i had to pay again to register the same domain. I am really disappointed, the most annoying thing is that your mails to the registrar@register.net.ng are not always replied. For God when are we going to get it right in this country. Is it prayers or what.
I have learnt my lesson and which i think we all must have learnt and the only solution to it is 'never promise a client .ng'
it is really unfortunate.
Is things a country of our dreams?
Is this how they are going to treat many of us that have decided to use it as our Unique selling point?
Is is now a crime to be identified with .ng?
many quetions than answers
.gov.ng domains are meant for local governments as well. Though they are mostly being used by Federal Ministries, Parastatals and the Presidency. You probably failed to convince them that you were legitimately representing the local government.

One question that comes to mind it this:

How can someone that says she cannot afford her school fees afford to spend long hours in a cybercafe to chat with you?
