FYI, this library has not been rehabilitated in more than 40 years! There have been several governors that spent 8 years in that time frame and did Nothing! I am moved to make this public appeal to Anambra State government under the able leadership of Prof. Charles Soludo (Charlie Nwa Mgbafor) on the sorry condition of the state library, Onitsha division.

As someone who studied for his SSCE, Jamb, Second MBBS medical examination, and finally my United States Medical Licensing Examination in this building, I cannot overstate its importance to the promotion of educational excellence in Anambra state. I am sure that thousands of professionals INCLUDING Prof. Charles Soludo himself must have studied at one point or another in this library building.

Biko nu, let this building be repainted and upgraded with computers, internet, and new desks so that the upcoming generation will have at least a serene place to study for their exams the way we did in our time.

Anyone with Soludo's contact should send him this appeal so that this iconic library will be re-painted and upgraded to continue supporting educational excellence as it previously did.

I do not want to come off as being pessimistic but there is something amiss in this Soludo administration, I am yet to put my finger on it but I am still not feeling his administration style. I feel that his zeal to take Anambra to greater heights may have been tempered by lack of funds....i do not see nor feel his passion to make a sustainable difference! Just look at what a library looks like in a state governed by a professor!

How will a refinery that was conceptualized,designed and built to refine Nigerian crude oil not have adequate provisions for Nigerian crude oil supply?

Well, the real gist and the crux of the matter is that the federal government refused to accept naira payments for crude oil sales to Dangote refinery, insisting that Dangote pay only in dollars. Despite Dangote's reservations about the government's motive for requesting foreign currency in a domestic transaction where naira should be the only legal tender , the federal government remained adamant, demanding payment solely in dollars.
Also, the federal government mandated that Dangote Refinery cover the freight costs for vessels selected by government cronies, equivalent to the rates charged by overseas vessels, along with port charges and landing costs—all payable in dollars.

After crunching the numbers , the management of Dangote Refinery concluded that sourcing crude oil from outside Nigeria from far away USA would result in lower costs. Thus, they decided to abandon the Nigerian crude, leaving it for Tinubu and his cronies to drink.

NNPC better sell the fuel at a profit, if it wants to see that refinery work well. Which means that the APC government better let that happen.

The minute we NIgeria decided to sell fuel at a loss because subsidy, and put state control over the matter, was the day the refinery originally began to collapse.

Subsidy must go, and fuel price must increase so that the refinery can work, corruption would reduce and sabotage would reduce. Because how else do you stop sabotage and corruption? BY taking away subsidy and thus the free money that comes therein.

Once you remove subsidy totally, the only way money can be made is BY MAKING SUSTAINED YEAR IN AND YEAR OUT PROFIT. And that cannot happen with sabotage, and corruption...the thing would be rooted out straight.

But APC and Nigerians love cheap fuel. If Tinubu reduces fuel to 40 Naira per liter, there would be statues of him all over NIgeria set up, so that we can bring offerings of goats, cows and sheep and fruits...and burn incense (lol, just joking.).
