Question for plumbing gurus. So I need help terminating the pipe I placed in the wall for my propane supply.

Any safe suggestions to hook these two together?

Thanks.
Kindly follow this procedure, although I don't know the size of the hose, but I assumed copper pipe : 1/2", hose size: 3/8", I hope it might be helpful, but I will still advice you to get AC technician to carry It out for you properly,

Tools and materials needed:
Flaring tools, 1/2" by 3/8" male flare hose connector and nut, hose clip, thread tape

1. Insert¹flare nut into copper pipe

2-flare the copper pipe with flaring tools to appropriate size,

3- tightening the male flare hose connector with it's nut firmly with thread tape

4- insert the hose into the tips of hose connector and clip it tightly,

5-testing of leakage

@House

Please, can tiling stop a wet wall from expanding?

The leaking pipe was replaced, yet the wet wall keeps expanding.
No, it can't, although it might not be visible, but the leakage will keep expanding to untiled area, the water will always have its way, this means the problem hasn't fully solved, I will advice you keep troubleshooting, until lasting solution is found, re-pressure testing and grout all the floor tiles openings if necessary,

I feel its much if its just first stage.

First stage means no external works, right? So I don't think he needs that much 4 inch pipes.
Yeah, it's much he shouldn't need more than 7length,

Please is there any danger with using China PPR Piles instead of Turkey?
Although China ppr is cheaper, the issue is the service life, nominal working pressure, reliability, turkey ones are the best especially hakan, for plumbing, the quality of materials is essential, and no amount is too much to be incurred for having rest of mind,

Good evening all,

I got the attached estimate from my plumber for internal piping for cold and hot water for one unit of a 3bedroom flat( one storey building)

I would appreciate if professionals in the house help me look into this list.

Thanks
It's cool but tell him to use 1/2" sized of PPR for the hotline considering the cost implication of using 3/4" size for it, is excessive, only if you're are using central water heater that's when 3/4" size might be applicable,

More so, no gate valve or stop cork in the quote, is it omitted or it's not going to be used, kindly seek clarity,

Good afternoon smart people in the house,

Please what is the major difference between a standing AC and a split Ac? I want to get a 2hp inverter Ac and I am confused about whether to go for a standing one or a split ac.

How is one better than the other, please?
None is better than the other, each with pros and cons, more so everyone has his own choice of things, but these factors can be helpful in making the decision,

1- Room space : floor standing AC flows well in a spacious room, but if not choose wall mounted, that why it's mostly use in the living room,

2- Accessibility: floor standing AC is more accessible especially for elderly,

3- Distribution of Air: the conditioned air circulate evenly through wall mounted AC, in most of the cases, furnitures are easily avoided due its high positioning, reverse is the case for floor standing,

4- ease of installation : floor standing has this one, it's easy to install,

5-Aesthetics : floor standing is the best it's more appealing,

6- maintenance: both are easily maintained, but wall mounted has features which are more easier to clean,

Just thinking aloud. What if the guy has no ulterior motives?

I went the bush wood route in one of my personal build and I can still tell you some of the woods supplied to me are still lying on the floor unperturbed after many years.

I had to reward the supplier 7 years later when I realized I wasn’t cheated.

Better to separate the waste pipe and soil pipe. Also tell your plumber to use magic waste for all the wash hand basin and also use floor drain with trap.

Thanks
It's better if the magic waste is trapped or using bottle trap for WHB

Good day all, please i need help with this quotation from my plumber, the quote is for a 3 bedroom external plumbing to the septic tank/soak away as well as installing the tank on the concrete slab of the said building, with two taps outside the house, i am more concerned with the quantity of pipes he quoted and his workmanship, he said its 4 inches pipe that is used for both waste water and (sh!t) and he quoted 33 pieces, attached is the quote, thanks all.
It will be of great importance, if you can send the drawing, especially site layout

Are we not simply creating an elevated platform at this point?

Simply trying to learn.

Thanks.
Yes, raised, not elevated perse, more so the height and sizes of the plinth varies with sizes of the tank, but the slab must be be well designed& constructed to take care of all the loadings,

For plastic tank

Thanks. I intend using a medium size plastic tank. Please do you mean I should raise it more than this height? Or I fill up the spaces and cement everything altogether in one piece? This is my first time to hear or see something like this done before. How is it usually done for plastic tanks. Thank you.
Fill up the spaces to make it one piece, ensure all part of the base of the tank are accommodated on the plinth,

Good day all. plumbers and experienced builders in the house, please I want to ask, do they usually put blocks before installing overhead (roof) tank? My plumber said it's to increase the pressure. Please how safe and accurate is this? Thanks.
The plumber is right, but this form of plinth only nice for Braithwaite tank, not for plastic tank, your tank might not last, make it a raised stable platform,

I believe this issue has been handled before, but couldnt locate it.

Whats the hieght of a normal tank stand for a bungalow, am thinking about 28ft, 8ft will go into the ground/foundation.20ft will now be above ground. Kindly correct me.

Also the cost. What is the estimate for the cost?.
Round pipe is cheaper .
Location is south east
Your preferred head is ok, you shouldn't have any issue with the pressure, but kindly ensure your pipe are sized optimally

I got 2 quotations for conduit piping from 2 different plumbers for a 6 bedroom duplex with 6 full baths (all ensuite) and 1 half bath(guest toilet). Which of the quotes seem to be accurate. Both plumbers visited the site to take measurements.
Kindly seek for clarity from the two plumbers in regards to what and what each quote covers to prevent any hitch, from what I can deduce from the quote, the first quote covers both external and internal piping, while the second quote covers only internal piping, to very sure kindly ask

But in nutshell the first quote seems realistic than the second one, but kindly request from the first plumber to reduce the rate, or change the materials to ppr, like example the big bottle gum is not more than 6500, he wrote 8500,

Regards

Thank you for this submission sir.
In lay man's term - Water will flow through the least path of Resistance.
No matter the configuration or sophistication of your system,If it's not Efficient, it's not Effective.
Gravity supply system supercedes any configuration in Plumbing.
Pls find money and do the Water tank stand.
The value Engineering there at the long run is better than the Pressure system suggested.
Thanks bro, you've said it all, I won't advice using booster pump with uPVC pipe

Good evening guys,
Is anyone here using or have used polystyrene ceiling?
Somebody is trying to convince me on it..
Who has had an experience with it, pls throw more light for me... Thanks.
Although I haven't seen where it was used as a ceiling, but my concern, is just its flammability, while adopting this materials you have to take necessary precautions, be very conscious, don't use it in the kitchen area, get all your fire protection system intact and teach everyone how to use them,
