I feel like bookmarking the section where you postulated that female actresses APPEAR richer cos they have multiple sources of income but I don't wanna be sidetracked. Yul's marriage is about 17 years, nearing two decades so if you say Pete Edochie is highest earning over a decade, doubt Yul and his siblings benefitted significantly from the largesse.

Everything about how he's handled this matter reeks of contempt for women and no one said some women are too special to be cheated on. We just think spouses should not be deliberately and repeatedly cheated on. Now the large public outcry is cos Yul himself has repeatedly and publicly hyped his wife for sticking with him when he had nothing and we (male, female and his male siblings) are particularly bothered about his appaling model of rewarding her.

I agree with the general idea, but my more practicable suggestion is to tie electoral suffrage to a minimum qualification of WAEC certificate.

Only individuals who have at least completed secondary school education and have a verifiable WAEC result should be qualified for voter's registration. That alone would knock out all the innumerable Mushin miscreants, Oshodi under bridge animals, Alimosho mosquitoes etc. who constitute the 'constituency' of these useless politicians... And most importantly, it would neutralise the voting power of those almajiri fools up north and liberate Nigeria from the political stranglehold of the North.

Easier said than done, and we all know it's never going to be implemented, but it's just a practical solution to the unfortunate situation we find ourselves.

Sending your kids to a federal university back then wasn't so big a deal for an average family. I paid less than 20k school fees and 10 accommodation in UI and all my siblings went to federal universities, yet we were not wealthy. And this was even after Yul's era.

So saying Yul was rich when he impregnated his wife would just be stretching the truth especially when he himself has said he wasn't.

No one is twisting your words. You are just adamant about Yul being rich when all indications shows that you are wrong. Even if Pete comes himself to tell you he wasn't rich at all, you'd still argue with him.

I hope this is not how you will wriggle round and round to avoid owning up to your faults and apologize to your wife when you are wrong

Let's go by your assertion; #200,000 during nollywood breakthrough period of 2001-2009 is a huge amount of money, and that was per movie if it was the case. Anyone earning that amount in that period is averagely rich and can afford the good things of life. If Pete Edochie is earning within that range, he is rich, and added with adverts of which he was a hot cake and with good investment decisions, he's surely rich. #200,000 then can get you a good plot of land in Lagos that goes above #80m currently. #200,000 then can finance many projects then that #10m can't finance currently. I have tried to avoid dabbling into argument about his choice of second wife, because we don't know what transpired behind closed doors.
