When a car is not moving and the engine is on, smoke and gas will find it's way through manifolds, door gaps etc but a moving car does not allow this as it had moved off where the smoke was produced And while they were dying, they couldn't put off the AC, leave the door open for fresh air?? This carbon monoxide theory no be am at all. This is not a case of gun shot or instant death. |

lilioj: Too many holes in your stories. A job that pays you 97k should be able to offer you a soft loan of 200k with monthly deductions.
Also when asked you where you live, no one says you should state the precise address why can't you just state the area like say Oshodi or Agege, you are being very evasive which makes all these sound like tales by moonlight. Please her "privacy" is important. If she mentions Agege, kidnappers will begin to roam the street of Agege, looking for a particular Channah1. |

Once you mention the mainland, everyone knows what you're talking about. The sorrounding areas and easy links and connecting route in that axis. So no need to start disclosing the number and address of the uncompleted building I'm currently putting up.
Try to be nice to the depressed. Okay. Good luck to you. |

Family › Re: They Want Me To Marry Her Corpse, I refused by Acidosis(m): 10:56am On Apr 30, 2022 |
Thank God you were only told to pay her dowry. Some families will hold you responsible for her death. Before you invite the law, also get ready for the repercussions as you may be accused of things you did not do. Forget all the "love" you received from her family until her death. Only marriage gives an absolute right.
That being said, your concerns are valid. I can never get married to a corpse under any condition. But what can you do? You can't win the battle. Sorry. |

Not a big deal. Many big and wealthy madams have small boys and sugar boys on the side. So it's not new jare. As long as the woman is ready to sponsor the wedding and feed the second husband, then it's no big deal. Many Nigerian youths will kukuma apply for the role of a second husband People wey don tire to dey work |

Channah1: My family members stay very far. If I'm to go put up with them, it means I have to forego my job and I can't because I know what I went through to get the ones I'm doing now.
The proximity of my office to my current location is the reason I'm passing through all these just to retain my job.
I don't want to go and be a burden to my elder sister by going to live with them without any source of livelyhood.
If I can have place to work and bulid again for three months, I'll save up and get an apartment. If I can get help, I'll get a place before weekend. It boils down to money. Is this job worth the risk and stress you go through everyday? What kind of job would make you sleep and bath in uncompleted buildings? |

Culture is a big issue in organisations. Some people go to schools to study organisation culture as a course. There's no sane organisation without its own culture. You just don't walk into strange places and do nonsense because of wokeness or your disdain for the African culture. Whoever told you that you can make your own rules in strange lands lied to you.
While i don't subscribe to the whole cash payment and sack thing, take this as a lesson and always learn to read the room wherever you find yourself.
A poor approach to managing cultural differences can cost you a multimillion naira deal. All you'll hear is "we will get back to you later" so there won't even be a room to hire any lawyer to fight anybody as some people have suggested here. |

TheBlackSheepX: not talking about white man culture. I'm talking about African tradition. The white man culture evolves with modern human ideas. They do not thick to stone age Tradiction that was pass on to them.
Here in Africa we stick to idea of early humans idea. People who never know how the earth look like or how water goes up and come down to pass culture to early humans. Everything is irritating about Africans. Permit me to ask, are you ga.y? I think this is the only thing you can't proudly/safely practise in Africa. |
Family › Re: I Hate African Tradiction. African Tradition Disgust Me. by Acidosis(m): 7:32pm On Apr 29, 2022 |
There is no society without traditions. You're either here or there. You can't be nowhere. If you don't sleep with the opposite sex (someone else's idea), you'll sleep with your gender (another person's idea). If you don't like agbada (someone's tradition), you'll like corporate wears (another man's tradition). No middle grounds at all. Just low self-esteem and acculturation doing their thing on a helpless African. It is not about your "hate". |
