People only want to hear the good news when in reality is only the bad ones that is bound to happen.

That's why we have lots of false prophets everywhere.

Do you think the government needs to be blamed for this or rather our religious leaders who stopped preaching the Love for the neighnor.

vislabraye: You agree she was also refering to you right?
People around the world are fighting hard against stereotypes and you are upholding this nothion.

If you choose to see the wrong about your race or country, that's left for you.
Abe leave race and country alone and let's face the TRUTH.

Just the same way religious leaders are making huge fortunes from blind sheeps who are in deep poverty and yet they will be shouting "touch not my annointed".

The earlier we leave aside religious and ethnic sentiments aside and speak the truth the better for us all.

atbu1983: i am from edo state. Did my NySc in the North East. From my observation, we have alot of educated illiterates in the south. Many people go to school, thier mind and soul not educated. While in d North, very few go to school. But those few are better educated wen compared to those of us from d south. For us in d south, going to schoool is a culture, so most of us dont really know why we are going to school. But in d North, going to school is more of a decision. So northerners who went to school are more informed.
When an Hausa man and Ibo man go to school, they aim for the ultimate.
You are so correct on the South thing, it is more of a cultural thing.

This same El-Rufai and Nuhu Ribadu were nominated by Atiku Abubakar into the OBJ/Atiku government based on merit. They were 2 young men with very high intellect, brave and hardworking, Atiku now brough them to Obasanjo and when OBj noticed their hardwork and intellect, he kept promoting them in government rapidly (Nuhu got 3 promotions in the force with 6years) which was ridiculous.

But along the line, the swore allegiance to OBJ and went against Atiku, the man who brought them to limelight.

El-Rufai no doubt is a brilliant Human and Regional (Surveyor). He knows his work well and never quoted from a book while talking or giving a speech. But corruption and power drunkiness was what put him and Ribadu in the black book of the populace.

icequeen22: The Nigerian situation is a peculiar one. If u like, read all the books in the world from pali to pali without knowing anybody in a position of authority, its all in vain. Just like it was written above, the likes of Dangote et all had 'HELP'. There are people that graduated wit good results out there, some of them read just about anytin they can lay their hands upon. As usual, if they dont know people in the right places, no job(except the really fortunate ones). Whats the point of reading when there's no food on the table? If music, buying and selling pays the bills, so be it.
Like I have stated twice earlier and will state again. El-rufai talking about "Reading" isn't just pointing at SCHOOL Books my brother.

While in school, I stabbed classes, confronted all my lecturers, first student to confront the VC and others, but one thing was never take away, all those people respected me for my intellect.

Reading isn't just about school books here. It is all about general knowledge and good reasoning.

With myopic mindsets and sentimental emotions like yours, I doubt if Nigeria will ever attain greatness.

Believe it or not, The Northern part of Nigeria produces the best Architects and Engineers in Nigeria who are doing Nigeria Proud.

The Medical end as well is highly being dragged by the SouthWesthern and Northern students.

So think well before commenting. The Average Educated Northernern is highly educated and 'brillaint'

Truckpusher: Do you also agree with me that many Ghandis, malcom Xs ,Martin Luthers and Mandelas never made it because of those oppressive governments? or has injustice and deprivation become the necessary tools to measure how far a man can go to achieve greatness?...maybe it's just the Nigerian leaders mentality, after all ,i suffered before i came to this point.so,my children too must suffer to make it and the same mentality gave birth to political fatherism, bootlicking, and being connected before one can possibly get anything done even when it's a positive agenda for the people ,hence corruption is now the order of the day.
If there were a 100,000 youths in each state in Nigeria who have read diverse books of History, Government and culture and know our right from wrong believe me Nigeria won't have all the likes of GEJ, El-Rufai and OBJ in power because we would have long used our intellectual rights to flush them out.

Nigerian youths of Today only follow the crowd. 99.9% of them know absolutely nothing aside Sports, music, movies and Fashion.

They come screaming when they receive some silly broadcast of their blackberry and swallow every silly news hook. Line and sinker without taking out time to reason for a few seconds.

Look at the same people who were making noise all over on the Subsidy issue, Farouk Lawan, Dana Crash, Aluu killing and the others. How many of them have asked the outcome of the fact findings after such stories died down.

Their is no miracle, Nigeria will keep having a terrible government (leaders) after a bad one because the politicians have realized how unenlightened the populace are.

Me and this very same foo*lish El-rufai have never agreed on twitter for one day because he assumes I am too direct and blunt whileresponding to him and he hates it. I told him before he is Buhari's greatest enemy and an enemy to CPC and accused him on his silence of Boko Haram. Yes he hates it but deep inside him knows I am telling him the truth.

Whereas all this same children crying foul at his comment are the very same followers that shower praises on him when he twits to insult the government. Th reason being they have forgotten history so easily.

Truckpusher: "God bless the soul of that woman who said "if you want to hide anything from a Black man, put it in a book". She is damn so correct" Seriously? with all your claims to owning close to 1,300 books (all original)according to you, and you fail to see that the same comment was racially motivated ,then bro you've read nothing. You are just a noise maker like El Rufai and his cohorts ...QED
Racial statement or not, is she lying or saying the truth?

You need to travel to developed countries to see that in reality the average black lacks something and that is "Vital Knowledge".

If Obasanjo didn't help the likes of Dangote, Otedola and others Monopolize the Nigerian market, do you think they will be amongst the worlds 2,000 richest men. See an average American who didn't attend college for a day is way ahead an average Nigerian Masters Degree holder.

This statement might sound too mean but it is a reality.

Let's stop shying away from the truth.

During their time, Education was free and when u finish ur education u have a stand-by job awaiting u...How many of youth have that opportunity na? Or is it some body that will work with bike just to pay school that will think of reading?
El-Rufai talking of reading is not emphasizing on your school books.

He is talking of Reading History, Finance, Management, Culture, Biography,Motivational, Inspirational and fictional books.

The bunch of people crying on this statement want to blame El-rufai for writing Jamb 12 times and WAEC 30times.

Donal Trump, Warren Buffet, Kiyosaki, Brian Tracy, Aliko Dangote and thousands of men out there didn't pass through the four walls of school but rather learnt by reading life changing books to better themselves.

They didn't hand by the road side every morning at the vendors stand only to be reading word for word Complete Sport just to gather knowledge to go and argue with their friends on which player earns the most and which coach is about to be sacked.

Prof Corruption: El-Rufai is not far from the absolute truth.
That statement is 100% true.
When these foo*ls cry out loud they assume he is talking of School books and exam kind of reading that's why the bunch of sorry a55 are all ranting and spitting all over.

For those blaming the system, that's just a silly excuse, the Likes of Ghandi, Malcome X, Martin Luther King, Mandela, and others became great from the worst of environment, system and racial abuses so what are these ones still crying about.

CareerRe: How Do You Handle Envy From Co-workers Or Colleagues? by acidtalk: 7:56pm On Oct 25, 2012
When people don't Envy me or talk about me, I am always damn scared.

Right from my primary school days I have always been someone most envied, how and why I don't know, but I know its just the grace of God one gets noticed and not to talk more of envied.

To answer your question, I have a saying "Only the inferior sees the proud".

So if they envy me, I sure know I am far ahead of them.

Lazy is an understatement.
They are DEAD intellectually.

In my house I have about 500 Audio CDs and over 1,300 Books (All Original).

I noticed that while my books worth 100 times the price of the Compact disc, People pay more interest in "borrowing" or "fapping" them more than even the Best of the life changing books.

God bless the soul of that woman who said "if you want to hide anything from a Black man, put it in a book". She is damn so correct.

Why are people insulting El-Rufai for saying the truth? Even though me and the mumu no dey gree for twitter (I go soon block am sef). But he is saying the whole truth.

I encouraged some youths 2years back to feel free to come over during weekends to come turn by crib into a "library club", omo, them no gree oh! Instead it was always "brother Acidtalk, please borrow me your Jay Z cd. Or Bros, do you have have the latest Cold Play album?".

Who is complaining?
You people haven't seen nothing yet.
All over the world, Nigerians are known the be the biggest critic of his fellow citizen.

We derive pleasure in not promoting ours, criticizing ours as well as doing everything possible to allow a foreign nationale shine over ours.

What have we done to support the likes of Soundcity and Niajizee? NOTHING!!!

We were all excited when HiTV went underground, paving the way for Multichoice (DSTV) to monopolize the entire PayTV market.

While South Africans are supporting the likes of Channel O, Trace and others, we are here distamcing ourselves from Soundcity and the rest.

Imagine Nigerians wanting to kill themselves to win a South African based awards like Kora. Whereas those people don't give a hoot about any of our so called awards.

The saying "united we stand and Divided we fall" we forever have an impact of a Nations success or failure.
FamilyDoes The LOVE For The Neighbor Still Exist? by acidtalk(op): 7:11pm On Oct 25, 2012
Does The LOVE For Our Neighbor Still Exist?

While growing up, you could hardly tell who were siblings and who were not while staring amongst children within the same neighborhood playing.

Children then ate, drank, played, went to school, church or Mosque together and trusted each other to the extreme.

It is a usual thing to find people from the 50s up to late 80s to admit that their best friends even in old age are their childhood friends. Usually their neighbor or school mate.

When a neighbors's child does something wrong, the parents around never waited for the child's parents to come before disciplining the child and also even discipline the such right in fronts of his/her parents.

Looking back in time, things have deteriorated really bad. It is now a norm for neighbors not to set eyes on themselves for even 3 months straight. Most neighbors even when they see their neighbor's child doing bad or in some kind of danger turn their faces away in the "I don't care" manner.

Where did things go wrong and how did it get this bad?

Because even the Holy books commented on the 'Unity' of the neighbors.

While the Bible said : Love thy Neighbor as thy self.

The Quran said : The Best of Neighbors are those whose Neighbors feel safe around them.

Can we ever bring the good old days of the "Neighborly Love"?
CultureRe: Can Cultural Norms Be Observe With Religion? by acidtalk: 6:37pm On Oct 25, 2012
Absolutely NO.

Culture norms and religious believes are Totally opposite in nature.

You will never find anyone who is 100% in religious activities still partaking in any kind of Custom practices.

If you find such, such a person in either an hypocrite or just naturally an "I don't care" kind of person.

Why Culture backs it believe on putting hopes and trust on a god of the lands which needs to have different rites, rituals and appease to be performed.

Religion on the other hand believes in the TOTAL Submission to the Supreme Being (God)
EducationRe: Top Reasons Why People Die Young. by acidtalk: 6:30pm On Oct 25, 2012
You are correct.
But the NUMBER 1 reason why people die young this days is "unnecessary woRries". So many people want to acquire what they cannot afford which have led so many people into debt and social vices, which in turn leads to high Blood pressure.

If you know the alarming rate which people die of Depression and Hypertension this days, you will be damn shocked.

That is innevitable.
Once either of the State have an opposing party occupying the seat of power I.e (PDP in one and ACN in another, they will surely revoke the land allocation).

See what transpired between the same Amosun and Bi-Courteny (wale babalakin who is a stunch supporter of PDP).

FamilyRe: Should Parents Have A Favourite Among Kids? by acidtalk: 11:33am On Oct 25, 2012
The issue of having a favorite child is unavoidable. It is Natural.

But the issue of openly displaying it is why their is a broken family ties amongst siblings today.

This have led to siblings now relating like total strangers.

Some parents took the favorism to the peak and it has led to the collapse of love and unity amongst siblings today.
PhonesRe: Visafone Nigeria Introduce Blackberry Services On Their CDMA Network by acidtalk: 8:07pm On Oct 24, 2012
This is what Starcomms should have long done.

I have been using Blackberry on my Starcomms line for over 3 years now. When I first converted from the sim to the Blackberry phone, I was told it will only run like a 1x and they battled with the configuration all to no avail.

Went to get another phone for the GSM. People who didn't know still laugh at me 1) for carrying 2 blackberry phones (2) for having a blackberry on a CDMA network. Some think is too much money, but deep inside us we know its a dead telecoms company's fault.

Good for Visafone all the same. They have surely thrown Starcomms and multilinks off the cliff to take the chunk of the CDMA market.

Wack! I think as silly as Jim iyke might be, he is definitely way wiser and composed than this childish stella of a bit*ch.
