Investment › Land Grabbers (omo Onile) Task Force Hotlines... by ACKCITY(op): 6:18pm On Sep 02, 2016
The Lagos State- Land Grabbers (Omo Onile) Task Force members are taking from The Nigerian Police, NSDC, Lawyers and others who are empowered by the Lagos State Government to intervene, arrest and prosecute offenders of the law.

Though Omo Onile, or family from which land is purchased is allowed to be paid some amount of money (Token) agreed with a buyer of land before the purchase and payment of land. But they are not allowed to use force to take money from owner of building, or workers at the site.

I have always been of the opinion on this land-grabbing issues that even if Omo Onile should be paid any money, it should have originally been part of the money for the land, so that land buyers are charged the "omo onile" fees from the time of paying for the land, this will enable them to know if they can buy the land or not. It is not okay for buyers to bear the burden of having to pay additional monies they did not plan for.

However, on no grounds should anyone under the disguise of Omo Onile or family, take a land already paid for from the owner, and sell to another person, or while a land owner is developing his site, interrupts construction, all in the name of "monies for omo onile". Sometimes these so-called "omo oniles" which some are not even Lagos Indegenes beat up or even kill land owners because of money.

To stop the menace caused by Land Grabbers (Omo Onile), Lagos State government has passed into law, bills to prohibit the act and punishment for offenders who forcefully enters and illegally occupy landed properties, and often causing violence while doing this. It is therefore now a criminal matter for Land Grabbers (Omo Onile) to forcefully take money or land from people building in Lagos.

Business › Why You Should Promote Your Pure Water Business by ACKCITY(op): 10:51am On Sep 02, 2016
Advertising your pure water business, just like advertising any other product or service is very important and essential.

When you advertise your pure water business, people from different locations get to know about your pure water factory. Especially if your advert does not just end in a small banner around one corner of a page, but if a post or page is created that reviews "all about" your product or service. By doing this, you are not just telling people, "come and buy my product", but you are also giving them details of quality and other benefits of your products.

In your product review post, which also should be linked to your banner, details of benefits of purchasing your product can also be read by your customers. You will tell them about the approval of your product by regulatory authorities, you can even include a picture of your factory, so that customers could feel safe when they see where the water they consume is produced.

So it is all gain-gain for you when you advertise your products, particularly your pure water business.

Do not limit yourself, and always ensure to think outside the box. Don't ever think that your clients will come only from within your location. No you can have clients/customers from several kilometers away from your factory. When interested people see your advert, they can call you to supply water at a much farther distance than you can image. Note to include cost of distance if where you are going to supply your water is too far for you to bare the cost of transportation there.

However, you can only achieve this if you have a good truck/transport system to help you deliver on orders.

Business › Introduction To Pure Water Business by ACKCITY(op): 10:38pm On Sep 01, 2016
Pure water business apart from being profitable, also has a very interesting production process, especially for starters. One major obstacle in the business is the cost of setting up your pure water factory.

In my years of consulting for clients who want to set up a water factory, over 60% of clients I started consulting for ended up not setting up their factories after they get to know the total amount involved in setting up their pure water factory.

Let me be very frank with you, setting up a water factory is not as cheap as a lot of people think. I have met clients who think they could set up their factory with a million naira (Two thousand five hundred dollars).

One million naira will only get you some part of the equipment needed to set your factory up. One million naira cannot set up your entire pure water factory.

If, however, you successfully set up your water factory (See the total cost of setting up your water factory), and you have a good working team in and out of the factory, and good vehicle to deliver water to your clients, then you are on your way to becoming a very successful "Water Businessman"

Pure water business really is very profitable, especially as Nigeria gets into a stable power session, water factory owners will be able to make more profit if the amount spent on petroleum and diesel to power generators is reduced.

But have it behind your mind that you need plenty money (See the total amount you need here) to set up your factory and a good marketing strategy.

One pure water owner I interviewed in the cause of my consultancy work gave me a strategy that worked for him in establishing his factory. He made use of a "one-on-one" marketing strategy and initial free promotion to attract potential customers.

Christianity Etc › Be Healed In Jesus Name by ACKCITY(op): 9:27am On Aug 31, 2016
To receive healing in any area of your life; family, health, finance and relationship that had gone bad, you need the healing of Christ. Healing from God requires that you are cleansed from all forms of iniquities. Once you receive forgiveness of sin from God, and you have faith in God for your breakthrough, then you are a candidate for God’s miracle.

In Matthew 9:2 “Some people brought to him a paralyzed man on a mat. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “Be encouraged, my child! Your sins are forgiven.”

Jesus probably knew that the paralyzed man was sick because of his sins; sin causes sickness, diseases and stagnation.

The paralyzed man was troubled when he was brought to Jesus because he was aware of his past sins. Jesus seeing his troubled heart said to him, “Be encouraged my child! Your sins are forgiven”

After he received the forgiveness for his sin, his breakthrough came. He was delivered from oppression, he was delivered from poverty. The paralyzed is able to walk; the demon-possessed is delivered.

When Jesus forgives you your sin, he wipes off your past, and everything that has been bad in you past is taken away, then you receive a new life!

Christianity Etc › Are You A True Man Of God? If You Are, You Don't Need To Slap A Demon Possessed by ACKCITY(op): 9:58am On Aug 30, 2016
In a Yoruba movie I saw yesterday some white-garment church members while trying to deliver an assumed demon-possessed girl, flogged the girl continuously for hours without casting anything out.

Many White-garment churches and non- white garment churches and even some great men of God use physical force on members to deliver them from demons or witchcraft.

You remember the story of a Reverend that even used fire to burn his members as punishment for adultery. Of recent there was a serious controversy about a man of God who slapped a girl in the church for allegedly being a witch!

To truly cast out demons or deliver a demon-possessed person you must be truly filled with the anointing from God and all you need is to cast out the demons by saying the word.

Jesus Christ told his disciples that those that have faith and believe in God can do more than he did here and Jesus by spoken words in Matthew 8: 28-33 caste out demons from two demon-possessed men.

“Two men who were possessed by demons met him (Jesus). They lived in a cemetery and were so violent that no one could go through that area” Matthew 8:28B

These two men are examples of typical mad men in our present world; they are fiery and more dangerous than dogs.

If a white-garment prophet delivers the demon-possessed by flogging them with canes, how will they handle these mad men who sit in the cemetery and terrorize even harmed men?

But immediately the demons saw Jesus, “They began screaming at him, “Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before God’s appointed time?” Matthew 8:29
Demons and witches should recognize an anointed man of God without the man of God needing to slap the witch!

A witch is not capable of publicly arguing with a man of God who is truly anointed. As soon as the witch or demon-possessed sees a true man of God, the witch or demon-possessed should bow down to his authority, the witch should be afraid of the anointing the man of God is carrying.

If a witch or demon-possessed starts arguing with the man of God, the man of God should by the anointing and authority he is carrying in him cast out the demon with the word of God, not by slapping the witch. It is worse and more embarrassing when the witch keeps repeating, “I am not a witch!”

Christianity Etc › You Need Faith To Overcome by ACKCITY(op): 10:14am On Aug 26, 2016
Anyone can find themselves in an unpleasant situation. A temporary set-back in business or in career and even health. I say temporary because everyone is expected to overcome all unpleasant situations in their life.

Some preachers think a Christian is not supposed to be ill, or even have a little financial problem or small set-back in business. Common! Anyone can be attacked but everyone who is attacked is expected to come out safely. It takes faith for you to come out of crisis without bruises.

In the Book of Matthew 8: 23-27 Jesus having preached all day was tired and while in the boat returning home with his disciples fell asleep.

“Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” Matthew 8: 24-25

I want you to note 2 things from this passage:

Problems are related to storms, that is why you hear people sing, ‘Storm is over’ when they finally conquer a negative situation

Problems comes suddenly, it doesn’t announce or advertise its coming. It doesn’t say, ‘Look here I am coming to your house or business’. It comes suddenly, unannounced, just like a thief!

“Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” (That means people are afraid when they don’t have faith) Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly all was calm” Matthew 8: 26

Praise the Lord! The same way problems come suddenly, breakthroughs also come suddenly when you have faith.

Why are you afraid of that situation? You heard they will be sacking people from your place of work and you become afraid, God is asking you, why you are afraid.

What you need is faith, that even if 90% of the total employees are to be sacked, you will not be one of them.

Christianity Etc › “the Wise And The Foolish: by ACKCITY(op): 9:18am On Aug 26, 2016
“I thought, “Wisdom (riches, wealth) is better than darkness(poverty). For the wise (rich, wealthy, famous), can see where they are going, but fools(poor, weak), walk in the dark”. Yet I saw that the wise (rich) and the foolish(poor) share the same fate”

“Both will die. So I said to myself, “since I will end up the same as the fool (poor), what’s the value of all my wisdom(my riches, wealth, position)? This is all so meaningless! (Vanity!)”

“For the wise(rich) and the foolish(poor) both die. The wise(rich) will not be remembered longer than the fool (poor). In the days to come, both will be forgotten”

“So I came to hate life because everything done here under the sun is so troubling. Everything is meaningless(vanity)- like chasing the wind” Ecclesiastes 1:13- 17
Christianity Etc › Hard Work And Focus Are The Prerequisites To Success by ACKCITY(op): 9:55am On Aug 25, 2016
Before you can achieve success in any field of endeavor in life, you must be hardworking and have a total commitment to your goals and dreams.

For you to achieve greatness, you must be committed to, and focused on your goals and dreams, be it a career, talent or business.

I am not just saying this because I don’t want you to believe the Prosperity Preachers; no I am telling you this so that when a prosperity preacher tells you that you will become rich by December and you have faith that it will happen yet you don’t have anything you are doing right now, then you’d better watch out!

After you have received your prophecy for greatness, you must be deliberately hardworking and focused on your goals, dreams, career, business or even a talent for that prophecy to come true.

Even Jesus Christ the “Master of Prosperity Teachers” affirmed this in the Book of Matthew 8: 19-22 when “One of the teachers of religious law said to him (Jesus), “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go” (8:19)

Christianity Etc › What Is Wrong In Giving Gifts To Men Of God? by ACKCITY(op): 9:21am On Aug 24, 2016
Giving gifts like cars, money or anything good even houses to men of God is not bad. What is bad is for a man of God put over the resources of a church or an organization to be dipping hands into the resources for his personal use.

I have heard many people criticize pastors for taking gifts, but I don’t see anything wrong in that. A man of God who prophecies over your life and you receive favor and good things from God and men deserves to be given gifts by you. The amount of what you give to your pastor depends on how much you also have.

When some rich people are sick, they spend several millions on surgery and all sorts of medical operation and drugs to get healed of the sickness, and sometimes they still end up dead!

But a man of God that prays to God and a very sick man becomes heal of a terminal disease; tell me how much is too big to give to such a man of God? Look here, the fact that he is a man of God doesn’t mean he does not deserve gifts; he probably does deserve it than people you think do!

Allow a man of God to be a man of God, let whatever judgment meant for him be from God and not your lips. If you think he doesn’t deserve to be given gifts just because his power is from God, then you are making a mistake.

Because every gifts (talents) from God is always followed by fruits, whether you are good pastor or a very talented singer. A good pastor will become rich, that is the truth, because people will give him gifts.

Quickly take a look at this story in the Book of Matthew 8: 14-15, “When Jesus arrived Peter’s house, Peter’s- mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. But when Jesus touched her hand, the fever left her. Then she got up and prepared a meal for him”

Christianity Etc › Because You Believe, It Has Happened! (matthew 8:5-13) by ACKCITY(op): 9:59am On Aug 23, 2016
In the book of Matthew 8 from verse 5 to 13 we read the story of a Roman officer whose servant was paralyzed and needed Jesus to come and heal the servant.

The Roman officer approached Jesus and said, “Lord, my young servant lies in bed, paralyzed and in terrible pain.

Jesus said, ‘I will come and heal him’. But the officer said, ‘Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home- just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed” Matthew 8:6-8

This Roman officer even though he feels he was a sinner and does not deserve Jesus’ visit to his home, but he believes that God can heal his servant, he has a strong faith, he wasn’t in doubt as to whether God can do it or not, he was sure God can do it.

He was desperate to have his servant cured of the ailment, the same way many of us are desperate to have our needs met, or to get something from the Lord, maybe job, financial breakthrough or even marital bliss.

“When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!” Matthew 8:10

Christianity Etc › Jesus Is An Authority by ACKCITY(op): 9:48am On Aug 22, 2016
If you read other prophets in the Old Testament before Jesus Christ, you will notice that as strong as they were in prophesies, prayers and even miracles, they were not strong teachers like Jesus. Many preachers sprang up after the death of Jesus almost all of them using the pattern and life of Jesus to teach people up to our present time.

There were preachers in the Old Testament more than the few most of us know because of their popularity but they were few compared to what we see after the time of Jesus and even in our present world.

Whenever Jesus was teaching, there are usually thousands of people sitting to listen to him preach. Even in our present day with all the modern technologies, you can hardly find a preacher that pastors 1000 people at a time, not to talk of 5000 or 10000 as we see Jesus does each time He went out to preach.

Even when Jesus preached in the rain or in the sun, there were thousands gathered to listen to him. Why? Because he taught with authority, He was an authority and still is an authority.

Jesus Christ owns the key of heaven where everything about life comes from, He is therefore an authority; He can authoritatively speak on any subject matter because He has the key that answers all things.

A Jeep almost fell into a ditch while trying to reverse along a slope leading to a popular church that has thousands of congregations every Sunday at Oke-Ira in Lagos.

The accident occurred when a driver which was assumed drunk or “learning” according to eye-witness, suddenly plunged into an electric pole supplying light to some houses along Olatunde Close in Oke-Ira.

The street is a slope that leads to a popular church, Babaolomi Now Now, presided over by Prophet Felix Oluyemi, popularly known as Babaolomi

Christianity Etc › Prophet Felix Oluyemi (babaolomi) by ACKCITY(op): 10:43am On Aug 21, 2016
Prophet Felix Oluyemi was born on March 13, 1960 at Bomodeoku camp in Ondo State, South West, Nigeria to the family of late Pa. and Madam Gabriel Oluyemi.

Pa Oluyemi was a great cocoa farmer while Madam Oluyemi was a merchant. They were both Catholics and brought their children as Catholics.

Prophet Felix popularly called “Baba Olomi” came to Lagos after doing the basic free education under the Chief Obafemi Awolowo, at the old Western Region in the search of the proverbial Golden Fleece.

When he arrived Lagos he took up several menial jobs until he was brought to Aguda in Ogba, Lagos by the late Chief Fayoyin who he worked for, for some years before he took up employment with NIGALEX at Apapa in Lagos.

He resigned from NIGALEX and began his work as a pastor for several years healing and delivering people from oppression.

Christianity Etc › Righteous Shall Flourish (final Part) by ACKCITY(op): 6:50am On Aug 21, 2016
So God began to teach me- He said- bless your people, tell them they are bless, so when you shake my hand in the morning- I’m bless, in the evening- I’m blessed, in the night- I’m blessed.

Everywhere I go- I am blessed- halleluiah!

I’m blessed, I’m well, I’m on top, I’m not down, I’m success, I’m not failure, the Lord is on my side. Halleluiah!

The righteous shall flourish, your skin have nothing to do with your prosperity. Your city has nothing to do with your prosperity, where God is, there’s life.

So God told me- I am able to do exceeding and abundantly above all we can ask or think. You know why you have never done anything big in life? You think you are the one going to do it.

So when you to buy a car you look for a car according to your income. And when you need small money you pray but when you need big money you go to the bank. That’s how you do in civilized nations, when you need $10 you go to God praying but when you need $1000 you go to the bank. Why?

You talk big and act small. You serve a big God and live a small life- why? You don’t believe! you can shout and jump and rumble. Your jumping does not tell me your testimony. But you show me your faith by your work- halleluiah!

Christianity Etc › Righteous Shall Flourish (PT Three) by ACKCITY(op): 9:58am On Aug 19, 2016
..and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.

We serve a full God. I’m a child of the God of fullness, full in health, full in job, full in prosperity, full in abundance, full of miracle, full of surprises, full in whatever I lay my hands to do. That God may fill your heart with the fullness of God.

So I took my name out of the list of those who have nothing. First of all I understood for the first time 17 years ago when I read in the bible that Christ may dwell in my heart and not poverty to dwell in my heart.

Where there’s no Christ there are crisis, but where there’s Christ, there’s no crisis. That Christ may dwell in my own heart. So I said all the poverty that I have been thinking where has it come from? Not from God!

God never tell you, you are going to be sick. God never tell you, you are going to be down. God never tell you, you are going to be weak, and God never tell you that.

The bible says every good and perfect gift come from God- the Father of light, every gift, every perfect gift, if it’s good and perfect, is a gift.

Many times I ask myself why American preachers always put ‘Don’t Copy’ in their tapes, because they are afraid that when you know it, they will not have any more. If your anointing is big you will not be afraid of somebody touching you. It’s because the one you have is so small you believe when I touch you I am going to take all, that’s why you come from the back stage before they know you already sneaked out!

And yet we have not a high priest that cannot be touched. Our high priest can be touched- halleluiah!

I am glad that God is touching you today! Wherever you are right now, God is touching you right now; He’s touching to meet your needs. That Christ may dwell in your heart. Say Jesus is dwelling in me!

Christianity Etc › Righteous Shall Flourish Pt Two by ACKCITY(op): 9:47am On Aug 18, 2016
Take curse out of your head- remove the curse out of your head. Stop liking only bad things. They don’t believe that they deserve good things! They are poverty-oriented! They have been taught that the poorer they are, the nearer they are to God, whereas, poverty is a disgrace to God.

How can your heavenly Father have everything and you have nothing? How can your God be the Alfa and Omega and you are nothing? How can your God say, the silver are mine and the gold are mine and thousands cattle on the hilltop and the hill where the cattle are standing belong to my God; and you have nothing on earth- it’s a trick of the devil for you to think “the poorer you are the holier you will become” that’s not true.

Revelation 3:8 says, “Behold I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it”

So I said to myself what can I do if I know I wouldn’t fail? What could you do if you know you couldn’t fail? How many miles can you go if you know there’s money to go there? How many houses can you build if you know God can provide the money?

I began to ask myself- Idahosa what could you do if you know you couldn’t fail? And God said- all things!

See Part one of The Righteous Shall Flourish- Bishop Idahosa

So when preachers in Africa come to me and say “Bro things are very down and there’s no money here, I say, I wish your God and my God are the same. Because if the God that I know is the one you know- you are the head and not the tail, you are blessed and not cursed. And guess what I began to teach my people to cancel the curse out of their head because Galatians 3:13 says, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law”

Say- “I am redeemed”

There’s no Christian that is under the bondage of enslavement that the devil try to put you in. if you believe that silver belong to God, God doesn’t use silver, if you believe that gold belong to God, God doesn’t use gold. If you believe that hundred cattle in the hilltop belong to your heavenly Father, God does not eat beef. So who does He have all these things for?

Say- me!

Christianity Etc › Before You Appoint Him A King (leader); He Must Have These Qualities by ACKCITY(op): 9:17am On Aug 17, 2016
Who is qualified to become the king or a leader must be humble, not displaying too much wealth and must not marry many wives.

Read the rest below…

1- “The king must not build up a large stable of horses for himself (The king must not have a large entourage, cars, escorts for himself” Deuteronomy 17:16

2- “The king must not take many wives for himself because they will turn his heart away from the LORD.” Deuteronomy 17A (So now it is not having many wives that is the issue, the major reason why God does not permit many wives for a leader, a king, is because, no matter how strong you are as a person or as a man, many women will lead you astray because you will getting advises from them based on their personal interests and that of their children, in-line with such advise(s), and you many one time or the other take a wrong decision based on one or more of them advising you wrongly, which could lead to your death, dethronement from kingship from even your family-line for generations.

3- The king …”Must not accumulate large amounts of wealth in silver (Houses, cars etc), and gold (Huge account balances) for himself” Deuteronomy 17:17B

If the king (leader) is appointed and has these qualities, he should ensure to live daily by this principles and guidelines and never change them.

This will prevent him from becoming proud and acting as if he is above his fellow citizens. Deuteronomy 17:20.

When you have too much affluence and wealth showing around you, your lifestyle, you will become too proud especially as a leader, a king. As a leader or a king, you already have power, authority, too much display of wealth, money wives large entourage and cars, will make you look larger than life and you will soon become proud. (Remember, pride goes before a fall). This is why God is discouraging you from displaying too much affluence, wealth, riches.

But if as a leader, or a king you are humble, not marrying many wives, not displaying large entourage and affluence, then you and your generations will be leaders in the world, you and your family to come will be recognized, even if they are not kings, they will be recognized.

Christianity Etc › The Righteous Shall Flourish- Bishop Idahosa by ACKCITY(op): 10:58am On Aug 16, 2016
This God that I have come to know now can make all things possible. In Luke 1:45 the bible says, “There shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord”

There shall be performance to your dreams, to your expectation. God says if you believe it, there’s going to be a performance.

And I asked myself, with who are all things possible? Who will perform my dreams? Who will bring to pass my heart desires? Who will give me the grace to realize my dreams? - God!

When I was a young preacher, people do promise me money, particularly here in America. I will give them my father’s address, my mother’s address- everything! Even where my father was buried- I gave them the address. And I will wait and wait and wait, I call some of them that I have their numbers and say, “I am just reminding you, you said that you are going to help me”. Until one day God said to me, “They didn’t call you, I call you. Don’t put my work load on people, put it on me and don’t make it hard for yourself because my yoke is easy, my burden is light.

So I read, “There shall be a performance” and I said thank God.

The word of God says, there shall be a performance. Now, one day I came across a scripture in Genesis, it says ‘And Joseph was put in prison and the Lord made him prosper in the prison’ and I said to myself what business was he doing there?- None!

Joseph was not a businessman, he did no trading and selling in the prison, but God made him prosper, if God can make a man in prison prosper, what about me at home? It is my turn! Say it is my turn, I am the next!

Joseph prospered in the prison and here I am at home suffering. I am not in trouble, Joseph was in trouble and he prospered.

I am not chained, Joseph was chained and he prospered. I wasn’t betrayed, I am not jailed. Joseph was jailed and he prospered. So I said if God did it for Joseph, I am next. I am next without prison; I am next without jail- Alleluia.

Politics › Youth Day Celebration Speech By Governor Of Kano State by ACKCITY(op): 10:58am On Aug 15, 2016
The governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Friday, August 12, at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata, addressed the youths of Kano during the 2016 International Youth Day Celebration.

Read the full speech below...

It gives me great pleasure to address you all at this auspicious occasion of the 2016 International Youth Day Celebration. The theme of this year’s celebration, “Road to 2030: Eradicating Poverty and Achieving Sustainable production and Consumption”, is not only appropriate, but very timely considering the level of poverty among young people globally. It is apt because it coincides with the challenges of global recession with its attendant poverty, increased unemployment and under-employment, collapse of businesses and high crime rate.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the National Youth Policy (2009) pointed out that the Nigeria’s population is predominantly young. This has been earlier revealed by the 2006 National Census figures which shows that two-third of the Nigerian population are youth and Kano being the most populous state it hosts a large number of youth in the country. This poses a great challenge to the Government and inspires the Government to find lasting solutions for the challenges facing our younger generations as leaders oftomorrow. This is an obligation upon us and we will not relent in our determined effort to meet the yearnings and aspirations of our teeming youth. You are our hope, and it is our responsibility as leaders of today to secure your future by providing the necessary support and machinery for your development in a most decent and responsible way.

It is clear that the International Youth Day Celebration is in accordance with the 1998 Declaration by the United Nations Forum on Youth Policies and Programmes in Lisbon, Portugal, which sets aside August 12 of every year for that purpose. The laudable objectives of the Day include:-

To call on the general public particularly parents, teachers, community leaders, religious leaders, politicians, governments etc not to shy away from their responsibilities of their wards by inculcating in them good moral and social behavior;

Christianity Etc › Obedience by ACKCITY(op): 9:11am On Aug 15, 2016
“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the flood waters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and ignores it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash” Matthew 7:24-27

This part of Matthew 7 is like a summary of all that Jesus taught His followers, He taught them how to live a good life, how to make money and be rich, He taught them how they can live without sickness and diseases and how to gain eternity.

All through the book of Matthew 7 Jesus was explaining to people what it takes to live in this sinful world, how to overcome temptations, how to live above sin and how to please our heavenly Father.

He now summarized all His teachings in verse 24-27. He said anyone who have listened to His teachings about not being an adulterer, about not being a murderer, about not being a hypocrite, about giving to the poor, the less privileged and the widows, and that obey and keep all His teachings, is a wise person.

Jesus compares such a person to one who builds his house on a solid rock. When people want to build, they focus more on the foundation of the building than other parts of building. The foundation of a good building most often is usually expensive than the other parts of the building. Houses built on strong foundation hardly collapse. When rain falls on such building, it stands strong and firm, unshakeable; it will not collapse because the foundation is strong.

The same is with a man who feeds on the word of God daily and practices what he reads from it. Because such people have learned the principles needed to overcome temptations, to live a healthy lifestyle, to please God. No matter how strong the winds that blow; even if millions of people are affected, nothing will touch such a person- alleluia!

Such persons may be attacked from the left, right and allover but they will always stand firm and above because they have learned the principles needed to stand.

But Jesus say anyone who have been listening to His messages of ‘Don’t steal, don’t commit adultery, don’t fornicate’ and ignores it, is a foolish person, he likened such persons to someone who would build his house on sand, with very weak foundation.

When there is flood, the rain water will wash off the house or it will collapse, such is likened to a man who hears the teachings and word of God and ignores it- saying it’s for “those born-again people and not for me” or you pretend in public to be good and inside you are an adulterer, a thief and a killer.

Christianity Etc › Law Breakers Will Not Go To Heaven by ACKCITY(op): 1:44pm On Aug 14, 2016
“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in Your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws” Matthew 7:21-23

If you are disobedient to God, you break His commandments you will not enter into the kingdom of God.

It doesn’t matter how much speaking in tongues you can do, it doesn’t matter whether you are a pastor, a minister or the director of music in your church. As long as you don’t obey and keep God’s commandments you will not enter into the kingdom of God.

In fact you can be an ordinary member of a church, you may not even be going to any particular church, but you study the word of God and obey it to the letters; you evangelize and teach people the truth about God, you will go to heaven when you die, I can assure you that because that is what the word of God says.

Jesus in Matthew 7: 21-23 did not say when you go to church you will go to heaven, he said when you keep God’s commandments you will go to heaven. God’s commandments does not include going to church, it is true that it is good to fellowship with other Christians, but I tell you the truth Christians can also corrupt people by their lifestyles.

Christianity Etc › Moments Of Breakthrough by ACKCITY(op): 12:24pm On Aug 13, 2016
Exodus 13: 17-18 “And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them to the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt: But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.” (KJV)

The first point I want to make this morning is that the way to your destiny, of your success in life, the way to the desired haven that you have always prayed and cried to is not down, it is up.

Everybody must look up to God. Everybody must trust God. This is a season in which more than any time in your life- you need to trust God.

When we say “trust God”, we mean you should trust the word of God, because the word is God Himself.

The word is described in so many ways, two Wednesdays ago I was talking about the Word of God and we see that the word of God has nutritional values- the word of God is water.

He said, let him that pass come and drink of the water of life. He met the woman by the well of Samaria and told her that if you thirst and drink of the water you will never be thirsty again.

The word of God is water, and there are so many nutrients in it.

When you have the word of God you also have the light, the word of God is also the light of God which shines in the darkness and darkness can never comprehend.

Now Jesus was talking in Isaiah 60, and He was talking to the church, He said arise and shine for your light has come, He said for the glory of God has risen upon me, He said darkness (poverty, sickness, diseases, marriage failures, and all kind of things associated with darkness) shall cover the whole earth, and gross darkness (in other words, darkness nobody can solve)

No matter what happens, no matter the money pumped into the economy but they are not solving the problem.

Christianity Etc › Beware Of Pastors by ACKCITY(op): 9:49am On Aug 11, 2016
Beware of pastors, more than half of the total pastors we have today are not true servants of God.

Well I have not done any research to confirm my argument, and I am not just trying to talk carelessly like many people I have heard talk about men of God. I am telling you this so that you can be careful and watchful.

Don’t ask me how I know this, the bible says, “By their fruit you shall know them”

The bible in Matthew 7: 15-16 says, “Beware of false prophets who disguised as harmless sheep but are vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit that is by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles?”

I can say this anywhere without any fear, I was compelled to leave the place where I worked as a pastor because almost all of the pastors there are not just hypocrites, but they are thieves, adulterers, fornicators, liars, back-biters, gossips and breakers of law.

The behavior of the pastors I worked with while I served in the church was nothing to glorify God about! These behaviors and unfaithfulness did not only make the members of the church uncommitted but was also leading the members of the church into sin.

Out of about 14 of us that were pastors in the church maybe just 3 or 4 were truly following God’s instructions and that of the church, all others were not just wayward but wicked in heart.

I witnessed at least three that were chased away, one of them took a new convert he persuaded to church to a club, after sleeping with her he started taking money from the girl’s family until he was reported to the church and dismissed. After he left it was discovered that he had taken money from many people and did not just sleep with only that girl but others too.

Two others were twins who almost sold off the church, they pretended on the internet to be the owners of the church, claiming to have healed and saved many people, showcasing themselves to the whites like they were owners of the church, they ride on the other pastors and oppressed all other groups in the church. After trying to have an affair with the head of choir and did not succeed, they reported her to the head of the church that she was an adulteress.

How is that for a church of Christ? Isn’t it a shameful thing the way we live our lives sometimes as Christians. I am telling you this so that when people castigate some of our bigger pastors, you will know it is true because they are the one these young pastors are watching and living their lives after; they want to fly jets and ride in expensive cars without working for it.

These same pastors will go out to people to preach to them, telling them not to smoke, not to drink but to give them their tithes which they spend without delivering to the church.

These kind of pastors have led many to hell because they have deceived many to serve Satan. Tell me the kind of impression the newly converted girl who a pastor slept with will have of other pastors, can that kind of girl be saved again? Will she want to listen to another pastor again?

Christianity Etc › Narrow Is The Way To Success by ACKCITY(op): 10:38am On Aug 10, 2016
Lord please give us understanding to know the true meaning of Your words in Jesus name, amen.

The way to success, the way to heaven, the way to God is not a wide way. It has no many options; it is not only narrow but also difficult.

Why are many people not successful? Let me first tell you that success is not the money or wealth that you have. Success is success in all aspects of your life; your wealth, family and finance.

Many people are not successful because they find it difficult to go through the process involved in achieving success, because it is a very narrow way which is also very difficult to pass through. Remember the narrower the gate, the more the difficult it is to pass through it.

Just like in written examinations a lot of people prefers the one with objectives because it gives you options to choose from and even if you get to fail the answer you would have at least not left your answer booklet empty unlike the case of essay questions where you are left without an option, many people would submit their answer booklet empty.

Because God is Holy, He is unable to do with dirty things that is His reasons for making the way to life difficult and with only one option.

Christianity Etc › You Will Get It Only If You Ask by ACKCITY(op): 9:35am On Aug 09, 2016
Large crowd followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside. Suddenly a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. “Lord” the man said, “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean” Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said, “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared.” Matthew 8:1-3

The man with the leprosy was not ashamed to come out in the public where there were thousands of people following Jesus, I am sure within those crowd will be many more sick people who did not ask to be healed either because of shame or because of fear.

What does this tell you- that going to church is not the solution to your problem, but digesting the word of God and communing with Him is the solution to your problem. Many go to church but don’t receive anything from God because they have gone there as spectators and not to receive the word of God.

Just like the crowd that followed Jesus many of them were just spectators who wanted to see what the man of God is capable of doing, they have heard many stories of His miracles and wanted to see for themselves.

But this man with the leprosy stood out and asked Jesus, “Lord if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean”

And instantly Jesus touched him and he was healed.

People are not getting the things they desire because they don’t ask God. Sometimes when they ask, they don’t ask with faith.

When you ask God, you will receive what you ask for. The bible says, knock the door and it will be opened, seek and you will find, ask and it shall be given unto you.

Why not ask Him today. Whatsoever your heart desire is, as long as it doesn’t contradict God’s plan, He is able to do even more than you can ask. Be it a prolonged health issue, financial breakthrough, career breakthrough, addiction of all sorts, God is able to deliver you from all of it. Just ask Him.

Be like that man in Matthew 8:1-3 who out of the crowd following Jesus, put his shame behind and asked Jesus to heal him. He received an immediate healing from God.

Christianity Etc › You Survival Depends On The Word Of God Not Based On What You See… by ACKCITY(op): 11:07am On Aug 08, 2016
Deuteronomy 8:18A, “Remember the LORD your God. He is the one who gives you power to be Successful"

Many of us are depressed by the current economic situation in our country and even globally. Everything looks stagnant and nothing seems to be working.

People are stagnated, people are hungry, and people are confused and irritated because of what they are going through.

You can compare it with the times of the Israelites in the Bible… After they had left Egypt and camped in the wilderness (A place of confusion, frustration, anger and depression), for 40 years. When God was leading them back to their promised land (the place of rest, where there is peace, wealth, health and love).

During this period, the Israelites grumbled, complained, got irritated and depressed because of what they went through. And God punished them severely. A journey that should go for weeks turns into journey of years.

God’s aim is to punish them, to correct them, to humble them and test them to prove their character, to see whether they would obey His commands or not (Deuteronomy 8:3)

So when you are going through certain situation, pain, depression and hardship, it maybe God’s way of humbling you to test and see your faith in Him. To test and see if, you don’t have that money, if you would disobey Him by stealing, or by being covetous (corrupt) to survive.

Deuteronomy 8:3, “He humbled you by letting you go hungry (starve, broke, depressed, oppressed) and he fed you manna (bread), (in place of your pounded yam and bush meat). Manna is like your bread. Imagine eating bread every day, for a week. Bread without butter, no egg, no jam, morning and night. Just bread and water for a week, not to talk of a month or years.

Or maybe you have used big cars like Range, and other four-wheel and fast moving cars, you have lived in mansions, but God punishes you, by taking them through bankruptcy, court case, lack of profit etc, to humble you. God’s only reason for taking them away is to humble you. Maybe you have become too proud, too puffed up, and losing focus.

God is doing all these “to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.”Deuteronomy 8:3B

Christianity Etc › Be Careful What You Do! by ACKCITY(op): 4:24pm On Aug 07, 2016
“Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets” Matthew 7: 12

Many of us think the bible is just some kind of fiery tale stories and parable book. Well the bible contains many interesting stories meant to edify us and lead us to God’s perfect will.

But let me also tell you that the essence of the laws the Almighty God gave through His prophets is for us to live a good life knowing that anything we do to a fellow human will be done to us too.

If for instance I am a snob, people greets me and I answer with my nose, then when I greet some other people that I expect response from, then they will snob me too.

You wonder why you are treated in one kind of manner or the other- it is your attitude, the way you have treated others that's why you are being treated in the same manner.

If you are a wicked neighbor, you think you are smart, treating other neighbors with levity, some day you will pack from that neighborhood to another and you will be treated in the same manner by the new people you will meet. You will be wondering why they are treating me like this. It’s because you have done same to someone else before.
