PoliticsRe: Anambra Guber Polls: Who Shall We Send? Who Shall Go For Us? by ACM10: 6:30pm On Oct 17, 2013
DerideGull: The measure of expressed sentiment is one of the inherent differences between Europeans or Asian and Africans. I do not give a hoot if Fidelity bank takes the money than come to Igbo land; it has got nothing to do with the destiny of Igbo man. However the manner which an Igbo land relates to one another, especially in the face of humanly treats, shall shape our destiny as a society.
Peter Obi seems to run out of ideas on how to govern Anambra. His boy, Obiano is bereft of ideas too. We just can't stay the course. We must change direction. We can't continue to prop up Fidelity bank with money meant for Anambrarians. Ain't it suspicious the way Peter Obi engineered the rise of Obiano? Believe me, Peter Obi has done more harm to us in recent time than the Yorubas. Remember the shoot at sight order, remember Ezu river saga, remember that he is building a multi-billion naira mall in Abuja and so on. Also, Peter Obi introduced the concept of zoning in Anambra. We must reject division by not voting for his boy. On the other, we must reject politicians with criminal tendencies. The only option left for us is Ngige. Remember that his only crime is belonging to the wrong party. Shall we throw the water in the bathtub with the baby?
PoliticsRe: Festus Odimegwu Resigns (Chairman Of National Population Commission) by ACM10: 6:00pm On Oct 17, 2013
Not surprised. Nigeria is built on lies. None of the data coming out of Nigeria can be trusted; population, GDP, IGR etc. Lies will run halfway round the world before the truth wakes up, but eventually truth will win the race.
PoliticsRe: Anambra Guber Polls: Who Shall We Send? Who Shall Go For Us? by ACM10: 5:44pm On Oct 17, 2013
DerideGull: Anybody including a moronic ninny, a market woman, a cobbler and even a palm wine tapper but Efulefu known as Chris Ngige. I have said that Nigeria/Biafra civil war remains the amalgam of my political philosophy. I had rather die of hunger than eat out of the hands of my sworn enemies who have not relented in their bids to see my demise.
Haba! Ngige is not that bad. Just that he is mingling with the wrong people. If it takes Ngige to clear Peter Obi's rot, then I'd chose him over Obiano. Just like Onlytruth noted, Ngige has a history of turning his back on those that elevated him to a position if conflict of interest arises. I think we should give him another opportunity. We can't continue with Fidelity bank dynasty.

HealthRe: Surgery Done With a 'rechargeable lamp' In Nigeria... by ACM10: 8:39pm On Oct 16, 2013
This is a normal occurrence in Nigeria. I was the second assistant in total laryngectomy surgery in one of the elite hospitals in Nigeria. Midway into the surgery, PHCN did their worst. The hospital's standby generator took forever to start. We completed the surgery with phone torch. That's how medicine is practised in Nigeria. So embarrassing.
PoliticsRe: Obi’s Government Full Of Propaganda – Ngige by ACM10: 8:17pm On Oct 15, 2013
osymerga: Every time,Peter Obi did that or did this..Peter finished our money,Peter didnt work well,Peter is useless etc. Please Mr Ngige,is that how to campaign ? Instead of you telling us what you stand to achieve should you win the guber, you are busy here insulting another person thats not even contesting....I tire for your style of campaign oooo....Peter did this and that,we don hear,,,now what will you do for us ? Thats what i want to be hearing pls.shalom
Negative campaign is a legitimate form of campaign. The strategy is to point to your opponents flaw. Hammer on it a million times, so that it will sink in the voters subconscious mind. Another strategy is to tie your opponent closely to an unpopular politician and run a campaign against both of them. The other strategy is to point to your achievements, then promise voters that you will do more for them. Ngige is deploying all these strategies at once. When all these strategies are used at once, it is called "a scorched-earth" campaign. This is an acceptable form of campaign in democratic climes. Peter Obi should stop whinning and deploy a counter strategy.

mcdokwe: I first heard it like a rumour, but it has now been confirmed by a hall supervisor that modalities are in place to convert the Mbanefo hostel to a female hostel. Consequently, the dean of student affairs who pushed the demand to the VC has started mobilizing beds and foams from Odili hostel to Mbanefo. Odili is to get new beds and foams. It would be recalled that the last any of the male hostels got just foams were in 2009 during the Nuga games which the School hosted. Arguing further, my source who is a hall supervisor stated that it has been observe that male students can manage whatever was given them. Which way Nigeria?
Chei! Tankers wan take over my hostel. It's all for good sha. Bobos no dey pay hostel fees. Some annoying ones will even boast of never paying for accommodation. I remember that there were nine squatters as against three legal occupants of our room. I fought to trim the squatters down to four. They hated my guts as a neophyte in school. But you hardly see squatters in female hostels. I love the fact that some lionesses will relocate to the great Franco. This will inject the much needed estrogen to the high testosterone environment. cheesy

Lionesses should know that Franco is for the tough. I remember how we dealt with armed robbers who tried to dispossess one of us of his phone when he was responding to call of nature in the bush at the back of Franco. grin A shout was enough for us to descend at the scene of the crime. After a hot chase, we grabbed them all. Our crudity and barbarity discouraged thieves from ever coming close to the area. Hope they will not make a comeback now that the gals are moving in.

ilugunboy: You should be blind to rule 2 of NL.

I want Afam to make that comment open and let community members judge what you meant by saying that Berem servicing her clients and other childish tantrums directed at her.

You are one of the few supposedly reasonable Ibos here....if you don't find anything wrong with your comment.....then it's no surprise others act the way they do here.
I used the term "solicit for clients". The term "servicing" is your own invention. I can't really help your perverse thought.

Check Berem's signature for a link to her business.

ilugunboy: Afam....

Not only should you hide ACM post....he deserved a ban.
I will voluntarily suspend my participation here for three months if you can point to any word or sentence that violated NL rules in my hidden comment.

I call on Afam to make my comment visible. I'm surprised that he deleted my comment. It's a sheer hypocrisy to allow comments that used inflammatory terms to be visible here, while my innocuous comment is hidden.
PoliticsRe: Let's Have Your Complaints, Suggestions & Enquiries Here by ACM10: 10:50pm On Oct 14, 2013
Funny people with hilarious complaints. cheesy

ACN dogs are unnecessarily agitated because Afam seems not to support them. Oh I forgot that Obasanjo famously said that "opposition" is another word for "enemy" in Yoruba. Not really surprised by the antics of people who hardly tolerate contrary opinion. Now they latch on Berem issue to drive home their bottled-up anger for a particular mod. SMH
PoliticsRe: How GEJ Is Preparing To Divide Nigeria by ACM10: 9:51pm On Oct 14, 2013
Sam_Ikenna: No, what we need is to call a spade a spade. If you think Igbo is the problem kick them out. If its Yoruba, slice them out. If its Arewa, by all means get them out of here.

There's no power that's holding us together, I'm not that dumb to be a fatalist. Not that I'm calling you one but I think you're giving back to God the choice he gave us when he made man. We have a choice to decide what we want, good or bad. The only thing
in life that God binds together is marriage and that is if both agree.

I wont be shocked if people in the former Soviet said the same thing - God brought us together, lets stay together, we will suffer if we break up, and other yati yati yati. Man is scared of the unknown, thats understandable. However, when the kitchen is on a fire that's fixing to take the house down then its time to get out. Get out and build a new one bro. Its only fools that would stay in the titanic when its going down and pretend - oh no this is unsinkable, its God's ship, he built it so it can't sink. Negro it will!

Nigeria will sink faster than a titanic because there'e no love or anything that binds us together except oil money and mutual suspicion. How can such nation move forward? How can we not sink when Boko Haram is audacious to make a video where a citizen's throat is slit? How can we not sink when citizens are killing eachother in the Jos and even eating the flesh to show their fellow citizens how prepared they are for war? How can we not sink when a section of the country think they're born to rule?

Look at what we call a nation today, is it not a joke? When are we going to get off this ship, is it when Nigeria clocks 300 million in population with 50 million Almajiris to reboot the jihad every now and then? Do you see the size of Nigeria? you think it can take in 300 million people? Yeah right! If we wait any longer, considering how disjointed and hateful we're now, I guarantee you it'll be one hell of catastrophe for Nigeria. Lets change direction while we can.

Katsumoto: Afam

You were present on the thread when some chaps started verbally assaulting a young lady just because she has a contrarian view to theirs. You did nothing to stop it but as soon as those posters were called out for being what they are, you decided to close the thread and hide those comments.

You have to be consistent at all times; you can't become active suddenly because posters, who belong to your group, are exposed for what they are. And what action did you take against those who assaulted Berem?
Do you have shame at all? Must you view every action taken by someone from that "tribe that murdered your sleep" with suspicion? Do you think that everyone acts with malicious intent like you? What's the difference between you, Payless and other tribalistic crybabies? You must be living a very miserable life. I've seen Yorubas insult other Yorubas that have contrary views. Do you see us accuse OAM4J of failing to take action. One of such threads is "The truth about Yoruba". You take this anonymous forum way too serious. Why can't you do the needful to your miserable life and end the misery once and for all, instead of venting your anger on an anonymous forum. sad

PoliticsRe: Obi Of Onitsha Curses Ngige & APC by ACM10: 7:50am On Oct 10, 2013
Peter Obi will do ANYTHING to install his boy to the post. Now he is trying to pitch Ngige against much respected Obi Achebe and Igbo traditional institution by extension. If Obi Achebe truly cursed Ngige, then it's unfortunate. I believe that there is a mix up of information here. Ngige will not disrespect Onitsha traditional institution intentionally. I'm hopeful that this issue will be resolved. However, come rain come shine, I will not vote for Obi's boy by november. We will punish him for a slight on Prof Soludo.
