ChristCee: Country is finished. If this can happen to a federal senator just imagine what would happen to the innocent masses. All these unnecessary show of force and flexing of power is fruitless. Let's be honest. Nigeria can't afford to fight two wars on different fronts. These boys should be in the north securing the country, every single political and terror problems in the south is something dialogue and slight change of policies can handle. If you doubt me ask Yaradu'a how he solved militancy problems. So you have nothing to say about the killing of 5 soldiers. Nothing!!! |
Politics › Re: Minimum Wage Committee Meeting Postponed Indefinitely by adabaraabdul: 7:10am On May 29, 2024 |
dollar124: Everybody seems to be supporting this labour demands now hmmm. My question is how many percent of Nigerian work force are employed by government? Who will pay people under private sector and SME their own minimum wage? Are we ready for the kind of hyperinflation that will make what we are currently facing look like child's play this labour proposed minimum wage will cause if approved? OPS (Organised Private Sector) is on the same side with government, they are satisfied with what Government is proposing. My question is what percentage of Nigerians are employed by FG that will cause the hyperinflation you are saying. Btwn Government doesn't even give Labour alternatives to lowering the proposed minimum wage. Labour has released the template used in calculating how those figures were arrived at. The Government should be serious in providing some of the services public servant will spend money on, so the money budgeted for such can be removed from the minimum wage list. The summary of the whole meeting so far is that Government is insensitive to the plight of Nigeria workers and they don't care. N60,000.00 cannot be the reasonable minimum living wage the President promised. I am shocked! |

Dogalmighty17: Some people have a genetic trigger that makes them add weight without effort. Anything they eat gets transferred to body fat. Some can however eat anything and everything and still not gain weight due to high metabolism. That's nature at work.
This young man's case was near hopeless. If he had pursued an aggressive weight loss drive, his kidneys would have packed up eventually. That's not even what happened in this case. Too much fat around his organs, weakened the muscles around them. Multiple organ failure was inevitable. He was already doomed whether he had chosen to lose weight or not.
Genetics can be a factor, yes. But genetics will never make anyone as fat as this. Lifestyle choices is what makes people add this kind of weight. so are u saying if the lifestyle was managed better from the onset, perhaps he wouldn't have gone to a helpless state? |

Those security officers responsible for this must be brought to book. If truly the manager is aware of your coming, why not politely air this to the guys on the queue. Park your vehicle outside, see the manager of the fuel station and then later drive in to get your fuel. With this kind of civility I doubt anybody will complain. Security officers need to respect themselves so others can respect them. This is really sad. I hope the police investigates this matter and bring those fingered in this to book. |

NIGERIANS have discussed this topic as if it is a religious war. Very sick and pathetic. It is not. It is about who controls the middle East and who is in charge. who is the biggest player in the middle East space. US and Russia have interest there too and has their allies too. Naive Nigerians should stop posting stupid comments from a religious inclination, it is daft and stupid. Alot of Nigerians don't even know that IRAN and Israel used to be on good sides in the past. |

this is a scandalous post and laughable. I dont think this is the reality and real narrative out there. US knows better hence advising Isreal to restrain from further provocation. Iran has substantial nuclear weapons than can cause damage in Israel. Those drones and warheads sent by Iran days back is just to send a message, Iran is fully aware that the patriot heads would intercept them. |

Kudos to the NPF for a great job they are doing. The tempo should be sustained and intensified till we rid our society of these criminal elements. The guy that gave info to kidnappers to kidnap his father is on the top hierarchy of kidnappers. His role is what made the kidnap even possible and therefore he is much more of a kidnapper than the kidnappers that actually carried out this evil act. |

BrighterSyde: Let me first apologize. If I had known I was dealing with a child I won’t have even mentioned you.
I deliberately ignored that nonsense you typed because it seems you don’t know the workings of the Nigerian govt and system. All that ribbish you typed about what govt should and shouldn’t do have been said by even people dafter than you are but what has been done so far? I honestly didn’t realize you are still a kid.
It’s like saying the govt should fix our refineries that haven’t been working for over 25 years so that we can start refining our own oil and then fuel will become cheaper and we will stop importing. Only a short-sighted kid will say that because he has failed to realize that every govt, whether apc or pdp or lp is benefitting from the rot in the system. Is it today people have been saying the obvious that refineries should be fixed for obvious reasons?
Is it today that even the daftest illiterate in Nigeria has been saying govt should work on security?
You are even saying it should not repeat itself. Before the end of the month another one will happen. Ow..:just yesterday bandits stuck in Zamfara again…
I don’t know the stupid govt you are talking about. The whole political class is enriching themselves at the expense of fools like you and you are here forming lover of Nigeria. Any idiot knows that the common enemy of the masses is the political class. Even the kidnapping and insecurity is purely political. Keep waiting for govt nah. you have typed too much to a kid. I don't understand all you have said. I am just a kid. |

BrighterSyde: This is what people say when they set common seen aside. Who will bring them to book? Govt? Bandits that are now going live on TikTok. Is this the first case of mass kidnap? For over 8 years this has been happening. Have they been brought to book? And if I ask you how the kids were rescued now without ransom you will ignore the question and give stupid answers on something else. If you went to any school, maybe school of common sense, you would see where I have written that Government must make sure this never repeats itself. That means investigate, arrest and prosecute whoever is involved in this kidnappings and terrorism. But you chose to ignore that aspect of my comment to focus on your rubbish sentiments. Even if the Government has paid ransom, it is good. America says it everywhere that she doesn't negotiate with terrorists, but when shit comes home they do. The most important thing to do is save lifes and make sure no life is threatened or taken afterwards. You are very myopic and shallow in your thinking. If it was your family member that was kidnapped, I dont think you would be concerned about if ransom was paid or not, you would be happy that your relative was alive and brought back and what you wouldn't want is for such evens to repeat itself. My people die for lack of knowledge, go and seek Knowledge. |
