realglobe:After Buhari, who do you think will inherit the presidency, SW or SE. North will not work with SE against SW, you know that. SW will get it. Watch and see. Just like i knew Buhari will win but almost the whole Nairaland thought differently. |
realglobe:Its too bad that you still think its nonsense until reality befalls on the SE. The political marriage between the SW and the North will see SW take power from the north when the North is through with it. Where will that leave the SE? SW dont need to get much now but in future they will. |
NovusHomo:I don't even know how to describe it. INEC didn't complain o. To him who say Buhari has no cert must prove that allegation. He who asserts must proof. If they sue Buhari to court to see his cert he is not under obligation to show it, only the judge can order it. Even then, only inec can be shown or the judge himself. This matter has been dead and restarts as a consolation to those who oppose the president. |
emmygzy:That's your conviction, wallow in it. |
Akinz0126:Until u guys learn yo bargain politically, you be kept out of leadership and continue to accuse those who are close to you for betrayal. The SW didn't betray the SE, they bargained for VP and also next turn to produce the president. You guys expected what for God's sake, you guys had no bargaining chip and until you guys come up with a bargain, you will remain relegated. When SW and the north produced APC, you guys thought PDP is infallible, now you know and still blaming SW even when they made their choice long before the elections. Get over it and find an alliance. |
nwakibie3:If you really worked in INEC, how come you saw all those docs of GEJ and just an affidavit for PMB. His military certs were not there too or all you saw were several affidavit. Last time I checked, if all my certs get missing today, the law allows me to swear to an affidavit that I lost it and present anywhere I need to present my cert. Why is it strangr to people like you who are supposed to know things like this. Years ago, I discovered my father's original B.A cert half eaten by termites. He went on to be a director and later retired on reaching 35yrs in service. Do termites, rats, dogs, fire, water or any such that could destroy your certificate also destroy the qualification you earned. A girl named Aninta wrote waec and her cert came with the first name 'Anin a'. She has not gone through the processes for correcting the obmission. The girl has graduated from the university with this same error, has presented this cert everywhere with no questions asked but I guess the day she becomes a politician, the opposition will claim she is not the owner of such qualification. |
eleojo23:I just pray you never lose your certificate. When you do, I hope you will stop claiming you have the certification. Meanwhile, a certificate is paper that can live after its owner while the real thing (certification) dies with the owner. |
YOLO1:In simple terms, a Civil engineer is a trained engineer while a builder is a trained contractor. A builder builds while the engineer design and supervises. A builders profession is the most threatened as every body calls himself a general contractor. When it comes to high rise buildings, they are very important and indispensable. |
GAZZUZZ:The whole exhaust was brought down and the first half of the CAT was removed, it was considerably blocked. It was difficult for them unscrewing the O2 sensor but they did at the end. Upon starting the car i had a CEL from P0141 which probably they damaged the sensor. I know they didn't disconnect the connector which is located inside the cabin. Am not happy about the sensor but feel safer for my engine. I also have a little deeper exhaust sound and more horsepower. In fact my gear shifting is smoother than it was. |
PaperLace:She not only accused him of attempted robbery but harassment and desertion while also claiming she jumped out of the car (my guess is while car is moving) and aborting the trip. This matter is beyond logical reasoning. |
I know it is bad for Uber to have this kind of publicity but there is more to the matter than one can see. I can see that the driver didn't turn down volume and didn't turn on AC. That's bad of him. Her ranting sounds completely exergerated to take a pound of flesh from him and Uber in extension. How can someone who's name and residence is known will try to rob you and after being unsuccessful, he leaves you in a deserted street. How can someone who is driving, attempt to rob and harass you while you jumped out of the moving car? Any one who thinks this woman isnt high needs some sense. I think Uber should sue her for faking and givingbthem bad publicity just because she disgruntled. The driver should sue for harassment and multiple false accusations. She said she had to end the ride, and still saying he left her on a lonely highway. WTF This woman has no fear of God. |
GAZZUZZ, in need some advice on my car (EOD) ASAP. Last weekend before i traveled from Abj to Zaria, my exhaust was leaking so i checked and found the "exhaust cone" badwhich was replaced. Before i arrived Zaria the exhaust was leaking again, and this time with a serious loss of power as i was driving with AC and full passengers. I also got a P0172 (system too rich) for the very first time with no leads. I got another set of spark plugs and the loss of power was addressed but not for long. I lost power again by the time i arrived Abj on Sunday. I have been suspecting i have a blocked CAT which i didn't mention to my mechani. Today i took it to him to fix the cone but he had another opinion to check the exhaust for blockage. He covered the exhaust with his hands while i revved the engine, the whole exhaust comes out at the cone position with very little pressure at the tail pipe. Now, i dont know if i can afford another CAT and dont want more exhaust sound from gutting the CAT or having a permanent CEL. Note i have been having P0142 for a long time. I remember a thread long ago on NL about welding a straight pipe instead of a gutted CAT for noise reduction. What is your opinion as our general oga. I need to work on the car first thing tomorrow. |
flecho:I have never seen Toyota with green coolant neither have I ever seen Honda with red coolant. The Honda genuine long life coolant was green and now blue.
|
GAZZUZZ:I really thought you got the text. Anyways, whats the other issues? The thing is, we just transferred money for a cheap pump in kd, we will want to decide if to hold up.
|
GAZZUZZ:I did reply. The car was withdrawn from the market and broke down again last week. The last Mech didn't set the oil pump timing well and it got beat up to pulp by the conrod. This is the 2nd time mechs mess I bought this crank shaft last yr for 20k or so. 2 wks is a long to wait. My friend just suggested if you can waybill the one u plan removing in complete form to Abj for the usual scrap price so we can use it as donor. |
GAZZUZZ:Do you by any chance have 08 accord 4cyl crankshaft and oil pump? |
stealth2:Do you buy the ball joint urself or your Mech buys for you? Do you buy toks or new ball joint? How long does it last before the k-leg? Have you had an accident with the affected wheel? |
ttshems:I have never bought freezetone but i think you should have an idea from Konga or Jumia. The colour depends on your car, Toyota uses red and Honda Green. |
feelme3:Thats the advantage half litre gives, its cheap to buy one and top up. It is also better to stick to a particular and more available product like the Total or Abro. Freezetone is one good product which comes in both Green and Red colours but i have only seen the 5litre. Unless you wanna buy and keep for topping purposes. |
Gentlelife50:Exactly! Say the limit is 100km/h and you are driving with bigger tires than specified on this limit, your speedometer will show 100km/h while the police speed gun will show say 105km/h depending on the exact tire size. You know what will happen after that. The police will be right to give you a ticket while you are wrong for modifying your car and not recalibrating the speedometer. Like I said before, changing an ECU could affect a speedometer if the right ECU is not used. Like using the ECU for LX trim on EX trim. |
feelme3:Exactly. You may need up to 5litres or like 10 of the ones you are holding. There is a 5litre gallon of Abro coolant and other brands in the market. It should be cheaper that buying the small cans which I can see as less than half a litre. Research the exact quantity your car needs. Before changing, start the engine and turn heater to fullest then drain and fill. After refilling, you need to bleed air out of the cooling system. There is a bleeding port somewhere or start the car with radiator cap open. When thermostat opens, bobbles will start showing up. Note that the coolant is very dangerous if swallowed or spills in eye or ears. Keep some distance especially when starting with open cover. The coolant is supposed to be applied directly to radiator and expansion tank till full or level. |
feelme3:There are two options of getting coolant. Its either pre diluted or concentrated. Since yours says don't dilute, the its pre mixed. Just make sure the car has stopped overheating then buy the required quantity band buy spare |
erico2k2:God bless you erico2k2. |
TRYGO! That your thread is on front page means you are promoting evil that car talk section has been preaching against. Climate has no effect on an engine as an engine is designed to work in any climate in the world. Because of the change in climate that is why the multi grade engine oil was developed out of single grade oils we were used to. 5w30 is a multi grade oil while SAE 30 is a single grade. Think of multigrage oil as SAE 5+SAE 30 which makes it multigrade. SAE 30 is what the car needs when running hot in any climate while SAE 5 is what the car needs to start safely in when cold as low as less that 5degrees celsius. The running temp of an engine is around 90-98degrees Celsius. The climatic temperature anywhere in the world is less than 60 so cannot effect the internal temperature of the engine as long as every thing works. The only effect is in dessipation of the heat generated which is faster with lower climatic temperature. Also, temperature band in the US range between -50 to 50 degrees while in Nigeria 15 to 40, what makes you think we need to modify their cars when they have hotter temperatures than we do? Let's stop propagating false or not well thought out info. |
Gentlelife50:You need to open your mind to strange but factual things. As a Civil Engr by training, my training makes me imaging things before proving it with mathematics and physics. Not everyone is good at this so if you can't understand it, then its either I try another explanation or give up depending on if you are interested in learning. At least, if you don't believe me, this should make sense. www.auto.howstuffworks.com/car-driving-safety/safety-regulatory-devices/speedometer4.htm All speedometers must be calibrated to make sure the torque created by the magnetic field accurately reflects the speed of the car. This calibration must take into account several factors, including the ratios of the gears in the drive cable, the final drive ratio in the differential and the diameter of the tires. All of these factors affect the overall speed of the vehicle. Take tire size, for example. When an axle makes one complete turn, the tire it's connected to makes one complete revolution. But a tire with a larger diameter will travel farther than a wheel with a smaller diameter. That's because the distance a tire covers in one revolution is equal to its circumference. So a tire with a diameter of 20 inches will cover about 62.8 inches of ground in one revolution. A tire with a diameter of 30 inches will cover more ground -- about 94.2 inches.Pls note that a diameter of a tire is dependent on rim diameter and aspect ratio. Eg tire size 225/60R17. We are only interested in 60 and R17. So changing the tire width from 225 to 235 or 245 or 255 will not affect the speedometer but changing 60 to 65 or 55 would. Same as the rim size. |
While its the reverse in Nigeria. If Toyota Camry and Corolla are the most wanted and most stolen cars in Nigeria, it makes sense to assume by this thread that Honda is more wanted in US than Toyota hence more theft. Just common sense. Toyota lovers will not like my post. |
ableguy:Yes, that's why it is boldly written on the car and user manual. For eg, my car is a 2003 Honda Accord L4 LX which comes with wheel cover and 205/65R15. On the other hand the EX and V6 trims gave alloy rims and 205/60R16. A lot of LX users prefer alloy wheels so the buy and install R16. That makes their speedometer erroneous. I want to believe that since the ECU translates speed sensor readings to calibrated MPH, then swapping the ECU of LX with EX also creates an error in speedometer even when the engine and transmission are exactly the same. Modified If one wants to have accurate speedometer on an LX using EX tire size, one needs to also use EX ECU. |
depair:It has a flow valve that stops liquid fuel from flooding it. Unless the valve is bad, then the flooding will happen. |
cucumbar:Depending on the level of the leakage. Most vacuum leakage from fuel tank is either from fuel filler pipe and fuel pump port in the trunk. Did you change or work on the fuel pump recently. One easy way to find the leak is fill the tank to the brim. Keep putting fuel till it shows up on the filler it will usually show up but go down so keep adding till it stops going down. If it stays at the brim then the leakage is small and may be harder to find but of it keeps gown down, you should be able to see fuel flooding somewhere. |
Coolgent:LOL, Nobody means the member has deactivated his NL account. With about 15.6mpg, its really terrible for any accord. Yours should be at worst 26mpg and at best 34mpg. Though your test method could be bad. The code you have is very important to your engine running well. A search shows P0340 HONDA - Camshaft Position Sensor 'A' No Signal. Sensor A should specifically mean intake camshaft and I would assume B for exhaust camshaft. No signal should either be 1. the connector is not plugged well 2. one of the sensor pin is broken or bent 3 wire is cut somewhere 4. Sensor is bad I suggest you pull out the connector without pressing the release tab. If it comes out the it wasn't plugged well. If it does come out, press the tab and pull out. Inspect the wires and the pins inside the sensor for bending and breakage. If every thing is fine so far, clear the code and drive to see if it returns. If it does then you have to use a multimeter to probe further.

Normally, the car with least conflict has priority and secondly, a car on the Highway has priority over the car on an access or street road. You can see from the road markings 2 and 3 are on the road with higher hierarchy so they both have priority over 1. 2 has no conflict so has priority over 3 which has a conflict with 2. |
Silkmoth33:Ego is not synonymous to noble. My uncle had a medical emergency and my other uncle a very good consultant Gynecologist and a dean of medicine and surgery department of a university referred us to his friend who was closest to us which is 1 hr away. This Dr with all his 2 decade experience operated on my uncle himself. My uncle was already rotten from inside and this Dr didn't anticipate what he saw being a rural area with limited equipment to test before surgery. The problem he was faced with over whelmed him and he summoned all the Drs among which is a corper. We knew there was a problem as all the Drs ran to the theatre one by one from their quarters. My uncle survived the 30min cum 4hr surgery. The head Dr told us that it was a brain storming session, and all the Drs contributed to the success. Specifically he said, the corper saved my uncle's life with his intellectual ideas. That corper had no ego, he was humble and I gave him all the respect and admiration. The head Dr spent some time telling us how intellectually gifted that coper is. There was no ego. |
