I think your post has been skewed to favour Apple.
From the position you placed Samsung, its obvious. I think the only thing that keeps iPhone on top is the time they spend on releasing the product line which is the only mobile phone line they have. So they put all their effort in one phone for a whole year. That cannot be said of Android devices.
The flexibility and versatility with android is unbeatable.
Security wise, iPhone cloud has been hacked before and celebrities lost very private stuff. So forget about security, no one is completely safe.
Next time you are doing a thread like this, first of all list the categories. Screen size is a category, battery life, app drawers, price etc are all categories I expected only to see praise singing for apple. Not every body is a gamer, so I won't be buying apple because of speed. While others like tweaking their phones apple is too rigid. I used LG Nexus 4, I got more and prompt update that even iPhone can't give. I used Samsung Galaxy S2 and got support for 4 years before I lost it.
Please do justice next time. |

my honda accord 2015 model drains my batteries. I got it late July, been away in august, battery that came with it died, got a new battery, that lasted only two weeks, thought its fake and all, got another, used the car thrice a week ever since, yesterday the new battery won't start, even with jump cables. took it to my mechanic, checked alternator, charging point, all seems fine, but obviously something is wrong. My Oga's what could be wrong? No check engine light? Probably a parasitic draw by way of stuck relay or something else. Are you handy? This is best done by yourself. Road side mechanics can do it at the detriment of doing something terrible. Watch YouTube videos on parasitic draw. Your problem is carrying out the repairs. Over 90% of Ferarri's never see the race track. Why do people even in Germany buy these cars? Why are these cars common among successful actors, musicians, footballers, basket ballers and in general media celebrities but you never see them on race tracks or with respected politicians and other rich people? Where is the best place to see these cars? Usually the red carpet arrivals of events such as Oscar awards and the likes. Even in Germany, there are laws that does not allow you race your own car unless u go to a race track. Even there you have to be trained and given a permit. How many owners of these cars go through the process just because the car they own is strictly for speed? Speed is the last thing anyone who wants to buy a Ferarri has in mine. Its more of a status statement than race purpose. |

Please clarify this your notion! Its not a notion but a fact. I have done calculations on paper and shared few comments back. Back up and you will see it. honmusa: Even bad alternator will give 14.5v ,the best method is to load the battery with accessories and confirm the alternator voltage ,a good alternator should not fall below 13v.The theory is that the charging alternator voltage should be always be well above the battery it is charging all load conditions WDR I don't think any bad alternator will give 14.5v except for overcharging faults. A test will catch the alternator giving voltages over the normal limits. Most bad alternators are because the voltage is low. A bad alternator is identified by its voltage only. Talking about load, an alternator is not designed to carry load, it only partially does that. The car battery carries the load while the alternator charges the battery. That's the reason a car cannot totally run without battery especially recent models which highly depend on electronics. If you load an alternator, you will be killing it. That's why even manufacturers recommend boosting/jumping a battery to start it instead of the process that involves disconnecting battery during idle. A good 12v battery should have a voltage from 12.5-12.8v and good charging voltage from 13.5 to 14.5v. Any thing less than that on battery side is a weak or bad battery. On the charging side, its possible to have voltage fluctuations to less than 13.5v during high engine RPM as the alternator is designed to regulate it's voltage. The best is to test it at a constant high or idle RPM. The easier one is during idle cos high RPM fluctuates widely while idle fluctuatea narrow range. Its never adviced to load an alternator when battery is disconnected. The simplest way to test an alternator is disconnecting + battery terminal during idle with no load. If the engine goes off, alternator is bad and not giving enough voltage. If heavy loads are on, say HI beam headlights, the engine could still go off due to high voltage draw which the alternator is not supposed to carry. That would give a false result that alternator us bad. This test comes with very high risks in modern cars with advanced ECU's |

The only thing that will matter is if the grown up can prove that he genuinely & honestly believed that the the girl was a major. The suspect, Dada Azeez, 28, had abducted his victim (names witheld) on October 5 while on errand for her aunt in Agege area before the RRS operatives rescued her on October 21th, 2016 from his den in the same Agege area of the state.
The alleged abduction of the girl was disclosed by her sister, Mrs. Gbemisola, who disclosed that the girl was abducted with a sum of N58, 000:00 meant for her thrift contribution.
The suspect, after weeks of lodging in several locations to evade arrest, was eventually nabbed by the operatives at his residence at 7, Oseni Street, Danjuma Cinema area, Agege with the girl in his one room apartment. Confessing to the crime, the suspect disclosed that he wooed the girl when she was 14-years old at her sister' shop in Agege.
"We started having secret affair about a year ago. But her sister frowned at our relationship when she got to knows" he claimed. He continued that " Unknown to her, we were still seeing each other. In order to be having regular conversation with her, I bought a mobile phone for her and instructed her to hide it from her sister. So, whenever she intended coming to meet me, she would call and I will describe our meeting point for her".
He added: "then I thought if she could elope with me that would be better for us. I started working on her psyche and deceiving her with some material things".
"I was able to perpetrate the crime when her sister sent her on errand on one Sunday afternoon. However, I didn't know she was with such amount of money. I just wanted to take her far away from her guardian for not supporting our relationship", he stated.
Narrating her ordeal, Ibukun noted that the suspect forcefully deflowered her, adding that, he turned her to a sex slave. According to her," he forced himself on me the very first day I visited him at his residence. Ever since, he has been having sex with me without wearing condom". "He slept with me anywhere and even at his friends' place where he hid me for weeks. I succumbed to him because I couldn’t go back home,” she added.
She said that the suspect collected the N58, 000:00 her sister gave her. "He fed me thrice a day probably from that thrift contribution money", she added. The victim, who looked pale when he was rescued, said that, she eloped with him out of ignorance. Also arrested along with him, was one of his friends, Wasiu Agunbiade, who aided the abduction by accommodating the suspect and the teenager in his one-room apartment in Agege. He said that he only accommodated them for a night, adding that he never knew he abducted the little girl.
"If I had known the girl was abducted, I would have advised him to return her to her parents. I never believed he could commit such crime. He begged me to accommodate them for one night with her in my room, stressing, “He left my place the following day to somewhere else. I regretted allowing them to pass the night in my place".
He added in her reaction, the sister of the abducted girl, who was so elated upon seeing her niece, said that the family would take her to the hospital for medical check-up. While confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Dolapo Badmus, a Superintendent of police (SP) warned parents and guardians against exposing their wards and children to social vices around their environment.
The suspect, friend and the abducted girl have been transferred to the Divisional Police Office in Agege where the case was initially reported before RRS operatives took it up and rescued the girl
http://www.nairanaijanews.com/2016/10/he-deflowered-me-by-force-tricycle.html Come o. The girl actually eloped with the guy. Why is he charged with kidnapping? I agree she is a minor, his crime is having unlawful sex with minor. She had her opportunity to go back home but she didn't. She made her choice to follow him and made the choice to stay, that cannot be kidnapping. |

Shake the battery, if you hear liquid movement then it might be revived by changing electrolyte.
The battery charge indicator only has access to 1 cell of 6. The other 5 will have to be punctured using a hot metal. Resealing is always the major problem as it causes leakages which is corrosive to metal.
You will then need to buy electrolyte and replace.
Lastly, portable generators such as Sumec firman have DC chargers on some models. Do this connection and charge for at least 4hrs. The generator will know that there is a very low charge and will charge at 15.9v.
This process will not give you a 100% revived battery. With luck, 50%.
For the alternator, all you need to do is go to an electronics repairer, use his multimeter. Ask him to set it to 20v DC. While the car is idling (they call it slow or steaming), test the termimals. You should expect anything between 13.5-14.5v. If the alternator is bad, you will have less than 13.5v.

Whenever I do that I only notice the changes for about 2weeks and it wil become obvious again. Changed the hub, did wheel balancing and aligement but same thing still keep occurring. A mech complained that my right back tire was bad and its the one causing the front right wheel tire to wobble . My Vulganizer checked it and said the tire is not in a bad state to cause the front right wheel to wobble. I changed that tire and replaced it with my extra tire after changing the bolts again. After about 2weeks I started feeling the right front wheel wobbling again. All this has been going on for about 4 months now back and forth. I am extremely disturbed now. Someone should kindly assist me on what can be happening. When I say wobble I mean making the tire to shake which makes the body of the car to shake and even feel it on the pedal and not make any strange sound. Its not when making a turn or when on slow movement but when it has attained that speed. Pls I need advice on what to do. I know its an old post, if you still have the problem then I think you need to replace your shaft inner cup if you havent don't so. |

samilo88: Oga Gazuzz and the experts in the house I greet u. Please my car vibrates seriously when I put on my AC.pls what might be the cause. My mechanic says it's my engine siting that's not properly tightened. But I have this feeling that d vibration might be as a result of a worn out part in d ac components cos d car drives smoothly without vibrating. I also drive the same car. I have been experiencing this since I changed all engine mounts. I have read there is a TSB with regards to that which required updating the ECU. I gave up after that. The only help I got which reduced it was to losen the main bolts for the 3 mounts, front, rear and left (passenger side). Start the engine, engage R gear for a few seconds then D for few secs repeatedly with AC on. Repeat the sequence 3 times and return gear to park then torque back the bolts. In the pic below bolt 15 and the two bolt 17 is what talking about. The rear one is the most difficult to access. This eliminates any bad mount sitting position. Don't forget that the front mount is a vacuum actuated hydraulic mount which is controlled by engine vacuum through ECU, this Mount has to be OEM to function properly. Most mechanics block the vacuum pipe to the front engine mount. I also got a serious relieve when i changed the valve cover gasket which increased the engine vacuum reducing leakage of both vacuum and engine oil. Lastly, source of vibration could be bad bushings of the subframe or loose subframe bolts.

erico2k2: OK you just got me up side down, rev/min is done by this http://www.carsdirect.com/car-repair/what-an-engine-speed-sensor-does big diff between the two, I was talking about vehicle speed sensor that goes to your speedometer like this http://www.doityourself.com/stry/how-to-replace-a-vehicle-speed-sensor Im only hamering on this cos I have personaly changed my own speed sensor when my pedometer stopped working, plus changed my ABS sensor as well so I have first hand info about this.Let us not forget what teh ABS sensors does so we dont add it into this mix. One thing we must know is this Car A myight get to 50km/h in 10 secs but car B might get to same 60km/hr in 4 secs. however when they get to same speed the will move at equal pace This thing is so simple I get frustrated trying to get you grasp the concept. What is the difference between vehicle (transmission) speed sensor, engine speed sensor and ABS/VSA speed sensor? No differences! They are all one and the same thing in principle. They all measure the same thing called rotation. They all measure rotation of different parts. One for tachometer, the next for speedometer and the last for ABS. They do the same thing and work exactly the same way. The only difference is that that of tachometer is not changed in unit of measure but the one for speedometer needs calibration to change unit of measure from rotation to km/h or mph. How hard can that be? These are not sensors that easily go bad to be replaced. In most cases it's their harness that gets broken or physical damage to it. Changing any speed sensor does not take 5mins which entails disconecting the connector and losing the usually 10mm bolt that holds it in place. If you want to know if I ever did remove one, yes, i changed CPK (crank shaft position sensor) and ABS sensors. As a matter of fact, I worked on a friends 2010 accord 3 days ago with the scan below.
