Fash de Dash was reported to  worth 6 million pounds in 2003. I guess he aint broke, unless he blew all the money.

"Am I a rich man?'' he parrotted back at me coyly when I asked. His wealth, after all, has been estimated at around £6 million. "Katy, Katy, in Richard Branson's eyes I'm a poor man but in your eyes I'm probably a rich man, Katy. For every penny I have, I can justify what I've got. I've been in football 20 years, Katy. I love it. I play it. I represent it. I eat, sleep and drink football. I'll die football.''

So these northern PDP members own churches and shops in the north?

Now all the dumb intellectual morons and dumb political zombies who voted for their equally dumb President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan should not complain of his dumb suspension of the innocent minister. Mr. Jonathan is just looking for a political scape goat from the same dumb Igbos who voted for him. Now you can see why the South East and South South states are so backward, because the dumb politicians rule their dumb masses in the People's Dumb Party (PDP). A government of the dumb by the dumb for the dumb. Did you know how long it took Mr. Jonathan to get his Ph.D whilst studying for it? And his dumb wife can't read. As I told you before, this is your tragedy. Deal with it dumb backside!

You are delusionary deranged. Nigerians voted. Yes, even  south westerners voted for JEG. You and you ilk are really the dumb ones. You thought that Buhari would win by hoping for northern votes without doing any ground work in any other region of the country. A lazy politician who changes platform every four years to contest for presidential election. Imagine if he used those wasted 12 years to build strong political base and following. His party's performance at NASS election was a prelude to his humiliating defeat. BTW, he got more votes than he did under OBJ, a fellow soldier.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Suspends The Minister Responsible For Internal Security by adconline(m): 11:22am On Apr 20, 2011
There is no born to rule mentality, thats just what you southerners cooked up to rally yourselves against northern political forces. Lame! the riots happened because the election was rigged, goodluck did not get and could not get 40% of sokoto votes as the results showed!

Where was ur anger when Yar'dua was rigged into office by PDP and co? This  past presidential election was much better that the one that brought in Yar'dua. You are creating an illusion of rigging without any hard evidence.

haha, the first igbo man has kissed the dust!
I HAVE ALWAYS SAID IT: IGBOS HAVE NO BUSINESS IN GOVERNMENT- they should stick to thier spare parts markets and Nollywood acting role they are known for! Governance in Nigeria is for the serious minded not for a people who gave Nigeria one to many Senate president within the space of 4 years! Yet they want to be president by 2015 - i dey laugh oh oh, '

oh by the way forget this initial grah grah from uncle Jonny, na today yansh dey back? We all know he is spinelesss and this is just a knee jerk reaction to a problem that goes beyond mere sacking of a minister who (going by the nigerian constitution) can not give orders to the IGP yet they want him to go quell angry moabs.

If Mr. Jonny wants to show us he is taking this issue serious, then put the minister for police affairs,NSA, IGP, Commandant civil defense corps, on immediate suspension and ask the head of military formations to take over matters of security in much of the northern states with a 24hrs patrol. This will send a signal to every region that the government of the day values every life in Nigeria and not just those of the PDP elites!

What a display of idiocy
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Suspends The Minister Responsible For Internal Security by adconline(m): 5:36pm On Apr 19, 2011
When  Boko Haram, Almajiris and Buhari's supporters kill south easterners, do you think that they would consider that the Minister of Interior is a South easter? This minister is simply incompetent. Intelligence reports  to and from  his ministry should have indicated that there would be violence if JEG won.

PoliticsRe: Foreign Reserves Now $35 Billion? by adconline(m): 4:12pm On Apr 15, 2011
I have heard a lot about foreign reserves lately and not having followed the matter, concluded they must stand at around $1 or $2 billion. So I was surprised to see a figure of $35 b. What don't you understand in that? And if they stood at $40.83 billion last year and now stand at $35 billion I don't find that outrageous since foreign reserves go up and down. The question would then be what reasons lie behind the fall - is it depleting revenues? Exchange rate fluctuations? Government expenditure?

I think you are confusing ECA- Excess Crude Account with Foreign Reserve. The former was depleted by JEG and co -over $20b spent in less 1 year. BTW, this account is illegal in the first place, it doesnt have any legal backing as Supreme court ruled in favour of 36 governors that FG does not have the power to operate such account. OBJ and Yaradua used their presidentail prerogatives to operate the account, but JEG needed to curry favour from the governors and decided to share the money with them.

I'm not a fan of PDP, but it seems it is the most organised party in Naija and it will cruise to landslide victory on Saturday. Buhari is a political opportunist like every other Naija politician. Buhari is contesting in his 3rd presidential election under 3 different parties. He could have used all those years to build a party from grassroot; instead, he is moving from one party to another; looking for already established platform. You cannot win PDP with this type of lazy political mindset and ambition. It also took last week's INEC results for him to undestand that he should have forged alliance long time ago with ACN. We are stuck with another PDP  government for 4 years.

Guys be wise. Nigerians have really lost the value of self worth. People left their houses early in the morning, stayed on the qeue for hours, got accredited, voted, waited for the vote to be counted and announced, resisted attempt by some elements to manipulate the results, took pure water, foods, paracetamol etc along to polling booth yet you are ascribing the success of that to your president. I CAN SEE THAT MANY NIGERIANS HAVE LIVED UNDER OPPRESSION TO THE EXTENT THAT THEY HAVE LOST THEIR BRAINS AND VALUE OF SELF WORTH.

A vote for GEJ is a vote for Bankole, Iyabo Obasanjo and many more you voted out last Saturday to become your Ministers, Ambassadors, and by extension the member of the presidential economic team and the same looting will continue. We should never make that mistake. When you want to destroy the enemy, destroy him totally to the truth. Can GEJ take decision independently of OBJ, Anenih and co if returned to power.

Be WISE GUYS AND KNOW YOUR SELF WORTH.

THE POWER TRULY BELONG TO PEOPLE AND IF YOU FAIL TO SEE THAT, YOU WILL HANDOVER THAT POWER WILLINGLY TO THE OPPRESSOR AGAIN IN THE NAME OF A GOOD MAN.

Hypocrites are  at it again! Who is really proud of being a Nigerian? The politicians who send their kid abroad to study? The politicians who brandish all types of academic certificates from Universities  to non-existing online foreign degrees?  Captains of industries who brag about their foreign educational backgrounds. The businessman who brags that he imports  all his products from China and Taiwan? The banks that line up to do round tripping for their customers who buy foreign exchange? The average Naija who brags about his latest designer outfits imported from overseas? The Naija radio DJs who rule the airwaves with fake foreign accents? The cars we drive? American spec is a requirement? Naija politicians who are 'proud" to be in Nigeria, because there is soo  much money to be made from looting in Naija than from any other legitimate business in this world. So when someone who is not a Nigerian says that she encounters xenophobia because of her CHOSEN relationship with a Naija man, dont crucify because we Nigerians know how to talk, but cannot walk the talk.

I worked for an insurance company managing training and on about to be promoted I lost my job because I'm married to a Nigerian. They made our lives miserable, listening to calls, checking work credit cards and asking who went when when, petrol cards the same, mind you I was using these things in exactly the same way for 5 years prior to them finding out that Ewurum is actually Nigerian. What really got me off was when they wanted me t pay back all company car use and petrol during the last trimester of my pregnancy (2006) and it was my husband driving me to work as they could see on the cameras. So I suppose we should have been using our private car for work activities which they gave me a company car for.

At about that time 2008 - there was the Xenophobia thing. I was beaten by two police because of being married to him and I was pregnant with our second child. they told me to go back with the dog wherever he comes from - they had a gun to his head daring him to move while they beat me, the sad thing is and he was accompanying me to a business meeting coz I said I didn't feel safe going alone, little did I know. To this day I'm convinced those cops were high on something. I've almost been highjacked twice and I was never even near as scared as I was when I saw the hatred in those cops eyes. They case fell through the cracks as expected.

Three days ago I went to home affairs to organise my two year old's passport and I ask the guy how long it takes to get an emergency one: the white guy tells me same day and then asks out of interest where am I going? I tell him west africa and he says where exacly, I tell him Nigeria, his exact words: "why do decent people like you throw yourselves away to such rubish. all these people should be shipped back to where they come from they are like cockroaches infesting everywhere."

I have never cussed at anyone so much in my life. I was so angry, he had to remove himself.
So no, Nigerians do not have a good reputation. I was listening to a Black American artist being interviewed here a coupla days ago and they asked him why black americans are so arrogant. he said because decent ppl don't travel out of SA and these Nigerians don't represent Africa over there (all you see is Nigerian chicks in flea markets).

People it is a problem. In by business I don't mention to my clients that I'm married to a Nigerian any more otherwise you don't get business with corporate, when there are dinners and galas, mostly I go alone or with a friend. Thank God my hubby understands that money comes first so we good like that. Pride is not gonna give us the life we live but something does need to be done.

This sounds like Jim Crow era

uprightness is a state no mortal being can attain outside spiritual guidance. Studies have shown that Simple reactive tendencies like "telling lies", "grudge", "se.x - i mean premarital behind the fence screwing", "violence and retaliation" are natural human tendencies so your grandfather wouldnt be upright if he never had spiritual guidance.

Post the studies. It must be peer reviewed. Has religion ever solved any problem in this world? Did Michael Ajayi Crowther pray or work to translate the bible into Yoruba language? Desmond Tutu could have chosen to tell blacks folks about how beautiful heaven would be, so that they would not need to bother about life on hell in RSA pre-Apartheid,instead, he marched and fought for freedom. Martin Luther King marched with the oppressed and black folks to demand for equality. In Naija, religious folks and co hope for a better Naija that would come without them fighting for it. Prayer without good work is in vain.

@ Desola

At the OP - Listen, Nollywood is not a representative of Nigeria as it merely shows you the customs and traditions of a fraction an ethnic group known as the Igbos.

Naija movies are only for the retardeens, most especially the Englibo ones. Yoruba ones wouldn't be so bad if they were devoid of fetish.

I suspect that Patience Jonathan must have been a Nollywood actress at a point judging by her Ingligbofied English. Lol,

GEJ is soo unpresidential that he keeps making gaffes anywhere he goes. If he cared about Igbo votes, why did he not pick a running mate of Igbo extraction or why is that all major contenders do not have an Igbo person as a flag bearer or running mate ?

FamilyRe: She Left Me After My Effort With My Kid by adconline(m): 1:43am On Mar 24, 2011
Have you heard the old saying “You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar”? Well that’s the approach that’s being proposed here. Yeah the OP is hurting, his wife just left. . .he feels betrayed but for the sake of his son, he has to be RATIONAL about this and find a less combative way to handle things. Hiring a lawyer is like using a bazooka to hunt a grasshopper, when all that’s needed is some gentle coaxing and you’ll have it leaping into your hands.

iIs she not going to hire a lawyer to untangle her marriage? Sounds soothing only if the person is not thousands of miles away from you. The woman has the right to walk out of marriage, but does not have the right deny the man access to his.  Most likely, this woman has left him for good. No amount of talking would make her come back because of the distance, environment and her new found MBA. So, cut your losses and focus on finding your son. Maybe she agrees to stay on the ground that you pay for her PhD.

Except the woman is just plain evil (seeking a divorce does not make one evil. . .let’s be clear on that) or the man has not be as good a husband as he’s presented himself,  I doubt she wants do deprive him of his son. I’ll even go as far as saying she probably feels bad for what she’s done/doing and will be willing to work something out.  This is why he needs to put aside the hurt from her leaving him and work on being in his son’s life. He shouldn’t do anything to put her on the defensive, SHE HOLDS ALL THE ACES right now because she has something he wants, she's also got the home court advantage.  . . is it fair on the OP? Of course not but that’s the way it is. So what the OP should focus on right now is look for ways to draw her out of her comfort zone and the only way he can do that is by not attacking i.e bringing cut throat lawyer into instead, he should their families. . .his and hers involved it and come up with an amicable less War of The Roses or Kramer vs Kramer way to handle this situation.

The home court advantage is an imagination because the man has more financial resources to be brought to bear. He’s made it clear that he’s over resourced to find his family. Having spent that much money on his estranged wife’s education, it should tell you that he’s well loaded. I see the double standard of judgment here “seeking a divorce is not evil” I agree, but seeking for a child’s custody or visitation right amounts to excessive use of force.  Why can we not see things from the same prism? It’s within the woman’s right to divorce her husband, but her husband has the right to custody or visitation of his son.  Why is going to court to fight for  his child’s custody or visitation cumbersome, resource and time draining; while marriage divorce is not?  Is it possible for her to divorce the man without the son’s future being determined by the court? The court will ask her about this kid and things they share together. The only way this little kid’s future will not be determined by the court is only if she misrepresents the fact his dad is not alive or gained sole court approved custody from Nigeria. She cannot divorce the husband without these questions being raised. So this man needs to be where these decisions are made. It’s a figment of your imagination to think that she has an overwhelming upper hand, because her visa expires in November 2011. What happens after that?

Quit this nonsense wild baseless speculation of yours jare, the man is the one hurting here and so is likely to be the most unreasonable party outta the two. How many Nigerian men have been done for trespassing and illegal kidnapping Na so Naija man useful reach that they would want to have their child's custody that bad Is it today that Nigerian men has been walking out on their wives and kids without so much as a backward glance

You are the one spewing nonsense and garbage. He’s hurting here and you are advising to put a band aid on a painful wound instead of asking to seek for a medical help from an anesthesiologist. You see what I told you about sense of comparison: You know people who violate court orders, but don’t know about people who are likely to be put to jail because of trespassing or illegal kidnapping. In the law court, someone who does not have a “prior” is not likely to violate a court order and most Nigerians fall in this category and the conditions attached to her visa necessitate that she must not be in violation of the law in order to be in status. Simply put, violate a court order; your visa is in jeopardy.
I keep telling you that you have brought your emotional baggage to bear in this discussion, that’s why you are telling the guy to take it easy after all “men” are doing it to women. It seems you are on a revenge mission herehuh
Telling the man to talk things over is like telling a drowning man that help is on way from a 1400 square ft yacht that is 1400 miles away. You advice is soothing for folks who have emotional problems, but not in real life situation like. The man is losing his only child you are telling him to take it easy and talk things over with her as if has not done that before coming to a faceless and nameless forum to seek for advice. Get real we live in the world! That’s people get married in churches and mosques and settle marital and divorces issues in courts.

Bleudy hell, why are you purposely being a thicko, why fight for years what you can get without fighting? Has the lady put up a resistance? Do you even know if she is not planning on dumping the child on the man so she can be free to move on? Are you in OP under a new moniker cos you seem so sure this lady is going to shaft him again The lady is not a resident yet but how many people travel abroad without the intent on keeping one foot in the door, negligible, so stop talking like you know it all.

So if she's not coming back, the man should wait for her to bring home their only child? One thing is very clear, the man says that he's over resourced to find his family. Let him go for it. Got it in your head??

It is also much more unwise to tell someone to employ a Solicitor to deal with his wife when the ink is barely dried on their marriage certificate And even if mediation is not binding, shouldn't commonsense and putting aside all vested interest to concentrate on what is best for the child act as a guiding, binding force Na wa for you oh, painting all women as Jezebel already.

Unless, you read a different post, cos the OP stated that the wife has left the marriage .I wonder if you knew the caption of the OPhuh?
FamilyRe: She Left Me After My Effort With My Kid by adconline(m): 1:48am On Mar 23, 2011
Pele oh, so your own balanced view is employing a 3rd party whose sole interest is the money in it for him/her to start interceeding on your behalf, without giving the woman a chance to act human at all  You are only spewing garbage because you have never been at a child support hearing before, otherwise you would not be pulling stuffs out of the place the sun don't shine, talking about 5 years as if this 5 years is set in stone and as if the 5t years is gonna be a walk in the park.

Your advice is like putting fuel on fire. Folks who get into divorces do not usually make-nice and not to talk of estranged Naija wife. It's better to have a court ordered visitation violated than having someone like the ex-husband charged for trespassing and illegal kidnapping. It's better to have it stated on paper than to have a "Naija promise" that would not stand any test in the court.

because your emotions would not allow to see beyond 5 years. If he does not fight to see his child, he may not see him in his lifetime. You u still dont get it, 5 years would be worth it to fight for in order to see your own flesh and blood. Who told you that it's going to be 5 yrs. The woman in question is not a resident, so is the husband, so the courts would have to take that into consideration.   You do not sound like someone who knows what child support hearing is all about; it's really unwise to tell someone not to have their visitation and custody cases decided by court.  MEDIATION is not an option
Even when you talked about mediation, it's not binding. Only arbitration and litigation are binding.
