I hope the ohanaeze did not say that last paragraph in truth cause that would mean you're referring to yorubas as ur slaves. The whole essence of the Ooni's efforts will be defeated

A last born prince from Igbo land was loved by the Yorubas in Ife and he lived among them, while they learnt some Igbo tradition from him doesn't make Ife the origin of Igbos, but means that some yorubas have Igbo ancestry if traced. The First tradition u will learn from any Igbo man is breaking of kola nut, because absolutely nothing gets done in Igbo Land without breaking Kolanut.
Since, I am a descendant of oduduwa from royal family in ile-ife, maybe I can say I have Igbo ancestry ......btw most Pple mistake me for IBO lady everyday/everytime until they hear my Yoruba name and would still press me further to speak Yoruba so they would be sure I am truly Yoruba.
We have a lot that bind us but we have ignorantly chosen to be at each others throat.

I ll do my ancestry test someday!

what are we going to say about Delta where some cities are popular than both the state and capital.

Warri, Sapele, Agbor, Ughelli, Ethiope, Oghara etc

In Ondo places like Ore, Owo, Ikare, Ifon and Akure are popular than the State.

In Oyo places like Ogbomosho, Sarki, Ikire are more popular than Oyo

In essence we can have as many cities that are more popular than the state itself
Ikire is in Osun state

If she so much hated attention, she wouldn't even post pictures of herself nor have agreed to take pictures. A person who doesn't like attention lives a private life online and offline. In her case, she's disgusted at him.
Some people like some part of their lives to be private.....you don't open all your world for people to read on social media. Sometimes, it is best to keep things that are dear to us away from social media!

Lazy dirty fellow, so you piled up dirty pots for her to wash and cook for you. You should be happy that she improvised and used kettle to cook, that's a wife material there. Relationships these days is more of a servant master relationship than partnership.
Don't mind him! Some folks believe they are doing you a favour by dating you, so they expect you to treat them like God , take their bullshit and say thanks for being treated harshly.

PoliticsWhen You Sell Your Vote, You Sell Your Power by ademijuwonlo(op): 4:16pm On Feb 01, 2019
In developed countries, election gives electorates power to express their will but opposite is true in developing countries such as Nigeria where the most richest moneybag wins the election by buying votes. When money bags are in power, recouping their investments is their primary and secondary aim, since public offices are seen as money making venture rather than an opportunity to serve the people.

As someone who has been an Ad'hoc staff for INEC in the past, I thought I had seen it all but something unexpected from my trusted neighbors happened recently, as I rested in our living room with the louvres opened, I overheard "door to door" campaign team talking with two of my neighbors about voting for their party's candidates in the upcoming polls and my neighbors response really shook me because I believed they were learned and should have known better to make informed decisions but they bluntly told the campaign team that "no money, no vote and that nothing is free not even in Freetown". This incidence made me realised that vote buying/selling is a menace that has eaten deeply into the society so much that people do not see it as something wrong but as a norm and an opportunity to have a piece of the national cake. It is time to fight against this menace that is robbing our nation of her glory. People should be sensitised about the negative effect of vote buying/selling and made to realise that they have a lot to lose by selling their votes.

As Feb 16 draws near, people should be reminded of the power their voting rights carry, and how their votes should truly be an expression of their wishes but not something moneybag politicians a.k.a vote buyers buy to fulfill their selfish interests in entering public offices when they are not qualified to lead nor have leadership qualities that can initiate economic growth and development.

Vote buying is one of the corrupt practices common in Nigeria's political scene. Payment in cash or in kind to swerve someone's vote for certain person is totally illegal and should be vehemently discouraged and eradicated. Vote selling/buying is seen as a norm and some people brazenly ask for money before they can vote for a political party. And yet they complain about corruption in government but still sell votes to highest bidder forgotten that vote selling encourages corruption in all its forms. Vote selling/buying has nothing but negative impact on development and growth of any nations that promote it. Some of the negative impact of vote selling are;
1) It puts less competent people in power who have nothing good to offer but with a sole aim of massively embezzling public funds for themselves and their unborn generations.
2) Inadequate infrastructural development due to public funds been misappropriated and often times diverted for personal use.
3) Inefficiency in service delivery,
4) It threatens the future of democracy as it prevents true leaders from running for offices due to increase in election cost driven up by vote buying.
5) Vote selling/buying prevents fair and credible elections.

When you sell your vote, you sell your power to demand for accountability. When you sell your vote, you sell your power and you are left at the mercy of people whose only care in the world is how to recoup the money they have invested and more. When you sell your votes, you lose your power to question corruption and resources mismanagements.
Your vote is your power, don't sell your vote. Use your power to elect competent, trustworthy and dedicated leaders who are ready to work with and for the people.
Don't sell you vote, let your vote show your wish and make sure your vote counts.
Your vote is your power, use it wisely!
