I want to ask if Stanbic IBTC share bonus for last year has been implemented because I remember them declaring a share bonus of one to 6.
The trading platform I am using wealth.ng is claiming that it has not been released. Not yet, still waiting for my bonus to hit |

Nigerialabalaba: Una good evening Sir Guru. Thank you so very much for your insights. I gbadun you. I agree 100% that our aggregate output and export needs to go up and the numbers coming from nbs, especially before covid-19, dey show that our PMI has started increasing and you sef see say the intervention by CBN dey help many companies get back up so tey some have significantly reduced their finance cost and now have more to share or reinvest.
Oga Guru, I just want you to know say we know wetin dey go on but like to dey blame everyone except ourselves individually.
We play on wetin guys wey sabi book dey call FUD so that perception go go against naira and dem fit cash out through these wayo 'fintechs '. You just embellished it by suggesting that naira loses value quickly and I begin dey wonder if na Zimbabwe you dey talk about. I don even read here way some endtime prophet of doom say naira go reach N1000 to $1 before last December and they fuel FUD against naira so dem go fit cash out. I no wan say God go punish dem but I know say the kind punishment God go give dem go be like the one wey God do Anini , Monday Osunbor and Evans .
I dey remind you say na dis kain talk dey make those unpatriotic cheats dey hoard fx and still dey spread FUD to make those who get the fx no release am. Now to how our balance of trade for the past 5 years dey go down, na oil price wey go down and dey fetch us like 90% of our fx cause am. Unfortunately, some people wey think say na only dem get sense come put petrol for the fire wey dey burn us with oil and electricity subsidy. Those people na the economic saboteurs behind these "fintech ". The court papers has established that they were diverting fx that CBN released for special intervention in critical areas of the Nigerian economy, go dey use the money dey buy US stocks and crypto. Bros, you use style dodge that place. This fx fraud has been going on for the 5 years you mentioned and it keeps rising. I no get the data on the fraudulent fx exportation going into the US stocks but for just binance, nairametrics reported that $38m was exported in June and it went up by $1m in July to $39m. If you do naira conversion, that is N19.5 billion being exchanged for US for crypto alone. This is just conservative and if you extrapolate the data I get from BBC, you go know say you underestimate the magnitude of the sabotage these guys dey cause https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-56169917 As at 2020, the total monthly trade in crypto is $65m and that is $780m in 2020 alone . That is N390 billion( almost the annual budget of Lagos for 20 million people) being exported criminally for USD and this number has gone up now unless CBN prosecute these guys.
These wayo 'fintech' guys, their collaborators wey dey disguise as customers and the thieving politicians will all face the same judgement; they will gather but never enjoy it let alone bequeath it to their descendants. They will lose everything at last because dem all be thieves . Forget the whataboutism, wetin no good is not good. If no be God and few patriotic Nigerian investors, these bad people go don even kill our NSE sef! Na those kind bad people you dey scare to call out? Abeg, make dem go face their case. Person wey sabi wetin hin dey do now should bring his clean money come NSE. All the people wey wan kill Nigeria and NSE no go succeed. Na jail dem go end at last if dem no repent now. $780M on Crypto in 2020 alone, that number would probably have hit $1B this year if not for this government intervention! These figures are definitely not from the ordinary Nigerians and needs to be looked at thoroughly. My only issue with Nigerian Feds is they will eventually fold and not see this through. The Nigerian government is too soft. Good job Nigerialabalaba for the data. |

RodgersAkpafu: How about we dig into the reason WHY these youths out there have the "addiction to $$$" like you are talking about ? It's not fair to the hardworking young nigerian to watch the value of your hard earned savings erode over the last 7 to 8 years To add insult to injury, these policymakers doing all of these have their behind covered because they run offshore accounts (even your vice president) So if they themselves have no faith Why should the man on the street do same ? At the end of the day, anything short of a holistic policy approach to cover all loose ends will always end in failure I agree, the inflation rate is not fair but this is not just the Naira, the dollar is the same. Just last year a tank of gas for my car was between 28 and 35…. Right now it costs 53 to fill the same car up. Should all Americans convert their $$$ to say the British £ because of inflation? The federal government is doing what every government will do, protect the economy from sabotage. I am not an expert in this field, everything I say is just common sense. Nigeria is too addicted to the $$$, it is unhealthy. |

"Hedge" not "edge" For you to not even know the right word to use says a lot about your level of intellect These brokers are not frauds Those who have their funds in there are insured by the SIPC It's just a shame that the internet has given platform for anyone with no idea of how things work to come and run their mouth Be like your money dey amongst the money wey CBN lock up. Sorry bros/sis…. I’ve never been a fan of middle man business, I’ve always advised people against these dollar brokers. This is why I left wealthng as well. If you have no direct way of trading international market then stay away and focus on NSE, this addiction to $$$ is too much. |

Itzlinda: Real Estate is nonsense? Why do you said so? I have seen someone that bought land that did 100% in less than a year. I am sure he meant real estate as an investment in Nigeria is rubbish. For personal use, it is a personal decision. For investment, lets quickly use this rough estimates Lets say you want to build a house in a very good area of Lagos(good area for the security of your property). Land, government papers and building lets say N50m. You decide to find tenants for this house at 2.5-3M/year. That's a 5-6% return on your money every year that's assuming everything goes as planned. No repairs made to the house in the course of that year. Everyone here knows how easy it is to get 6% from NSE. Some savings account will pay you 5% just to hold your money. Next argument is houses appreciate, well they also depreciate, not very common but it happens. Also, Nigeria has a history of tenants not being consistent with rents. Some people have still not paid their rent for 2021, and this is July. Real estate in Nigeria has never made any sense to me personally. I will probably change my mind if there was a way to get a mortgage at a reasonable interest rate. |

Leave us with our naira. Don't clog this important thread with your nonsense. God bless you boss! My response to friends when they start complaining about NSE and Naira is how many times do you see wealthy people complain about FX rates?? Focus on accumulating wealth first, everything else will take care of its self. The equity market is still one of the less risky investments in Nigeria. Other investments get K leg |

Topson88: please what do you think about this investment strategy for a Nigerian in diaspora
I want to put some amount in S&P 500 and apple shares to allow for capital appreciation for about a year then about a month before zenith bank pays its final divided, i will sell off my apple and s&p 500 to buy zenith shares. After dividend payment, whenever price rises above entry price, i sell off and repatriate the money back into apple and sp500 and this cycle continues. The aim is to benefit from capital appreciation, avoid devaluation and enjoy NSE dividend yield. What do you think may be the demerit of this investiment strategy. Thanks. Remember the saying, NEVER TIME THE MARKET. It applies to NSE too! Why not invest in both? I invest in both and funny enough I am doing better with NSE. I personally don't care about exchange rate, when I change my $ to Naira, I have no plan whatsoever to convert it back to $. The plan is to generate crazy cashflow through dividends which I intend to use to pay bills in Nigeria in the future. |

sinkhole: Please guys, I need some enlightenment here! Assuming I invest in a foreign (US) stock on a platform such as Bamboo, when naira was 490 to a dollar and then naira becomes 550 to a dollar, what happens to my investment on Bamboo? Nothing happens to your investment until you sell. That's when you'll find out that Bamboo is not as straight forward as they advertise. Hopefully they'll be willing to at least exchange your $ for N500..... In my opinion, the only people benefitting from this foreign investment business is Bamboo. I would invest 1/4 of my portfolio in Bamboo if they were listed on NSE/NGX. |

OBAGADAFFI: Cooldown no fight.
Simple Analysis with the help you.
Which is the most valuable stock on this list?
Stanbic PE-9.54, EPS- 5.24 Zenith PE- 3.35 EPS- 6.65 GTB PE - 4.66 EPS - 6.69
Zenith wins which is why Zenith is the highest holding in my portfolio followed by GT...... Stanbic is #6 or #7 on that list.
It is not always about PE, Tesla for example has a PE ratio 1,000+. If you're one of those people who carry foreign investments on their heads, you're probably invested in TSLA.
BTW, I am not fighting you |
