The height of fo0lishness
Buhari and his family are safe from the contamination of this stewpid act.
The poor fishermen, farmers and the people of the surrounding communities will bear the brunt of the contamination.
The most annoying thing is that they will still come back and ask the oil company to clean the spill while still expecting the company to be alive to its social responsibilities.
They have bombed assets that we hear are not even profitable to run. The oil price did not even increase because of it, Buhari did not look their way (the man visited about three countries in one week), they have polluted their own land and the bombing affected just 15% of the production of Nigeria's third largest producing company.
To make matters even more stupid, the Army is now all over Delta State harassing civilians and looking at the young women with not too wholesome eyes. The militants who did it have run to the creeks. The FG will fast track the importation of more gun boats and choppers. Some other idiots have kidnapped westerners which means the embargo on some equipment to Nigeria will be lifted. Even more stupid, the Tom Polo a billionaire community leader has displaced himself from reckoning and the FG will substitute him. He now has to run from one mosquito infested fishing settlement to another for the next two or three years thus playing into the hands of his enemies.
The stupidity in this situation is AMAZING.
Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Adminisher: 4:52am On Feb 02, 2016
Let us use the example of buying a house in an estate that is advertised at N10m. The value of the house is N10m but because people are rushing to buy the houses in the estate, the price shoots up to N10.5m simply because of oversubscription.
When you buy the house you pay N10.5m the new value because the value went up.
To make money you rent it out for the coupon rate 15.54% per annum . That is a good example to explain coupon rate.
Your tenants will be paying you 15.54% of the value of the house every year. That is your income annual income for being the landlord or TBA holder in this case.

If you want to sell your house it will probably be more than N10.5m because the face value would have jumped up again because people are still rushing it. Sometimes unfortunately it would have come down

The legal standpoint.
Please explain legally why the Niger Delta State governments are not possessing the crude oil. Why have they not appropriated it.?

Niger deltans read between the lines and receive sense? if the tomato farmer in the north is free to own its tomatoes why should the oil in our region belong to everybody? if some individuals are mining gold in niger unchallanged why should i be arrested for tapping crude in my land? if lagos remains the yoruba asset why should my oil belong to Nigeria? now I knew that that the conspiracy against Niger delta was an age long project owing to objs land use decree that gave an hausa and yoruba man asses to my oil witj insults and impunity...that means we arw used like pawns ti defeat the igbos and tuen around to treat us like rags...ah, we nigdr deltans must wise up befor its too late.
Anybody mining in the north is a criminal. It is worse than oil theft and just as damaging. We should pressure FG to clampdown. Tomatoes and surface farming is not a good example. Nobody can take that from the individual or community. The issue is minerals.

Yes. All the solid minerals they are mining illegally in the North belongs to the whole of Nigeria. Southerners can institute a class action suit to force the FG to clamp down on illegal miners within a time and we can claim damages for rights infringement and loss of economic value to an asset we co-own.

your logic is terribly flawed.

"quic quid plantatur solo solo cedit"... Whoever owns the land owns what is beneath it and what is above it.

Why is it seen as a violation when an aircraft flies over a country's airspace without permission?
You have just given the correct example. No individual has right over airspace. Only federal government . No state government can assert right over air space. Meanwhile an individual can build a house as high as exactly where international civil aviation laws permit

The Oil belongs to Niger Delta, if anyone feels otherwise they can go and take the oil without compensating our natives.
Your IQ is very low.
What do you think has been happening for the last 55 years?.
All the oil companies have made money and Nigeria has experienced billions in oil boom in the 70s, 80s and 2010 to 2015.
As we are talking the people who own the oil - all Nigerians and Oil companies like Shell/ExxonMobil and Total have been enjoying it.
It worries me when young people don't display intelligence. The oil has been taken already. Compensation has been paid at 13% . They called it derivation and I agree it is too low. The Niger Delta deserves more revenue. However it is important to think and talk intelligently.

If Nigeria divides today.. who will it belong to??
Very intelligent question .
The oil reverts to the legal entity that replaces Nigeria.
However if Nigeria divides, (which will never happen) legally the FG and Shell/Agip/Total/Local oil producing companies are going you slap a law suit on the entity that claims ownership and ask for compensation running into hundreds of billions. Let me tell you, as at now Shell is claiming a part of the crude oil reserves in many countries as part of its company assets. Those reserves are in many Sovereign countries where they have formed JV or are doing PSC. Part Niger Delta oil reserves are being quoted (legally) as Shell held reserves. No law broken. They have spent billions of dollars on exploration.
God has not created another planet for Nigerians so that we can escape international law and ways of going things.

yoruba brain...yet you cry blood when Igbos say they own Lagos.
Thank you. Our first landlord in 1969 in Lagos was an Ibo man. Extremely hard working, living in Enugu . I still marvel at Nigeria as an old man now when I recall just 11 months after civil war a man like that could take his hard earned property and still be making money from it . No Yoruba man disturbed or stole Ibo properties like it happened in Porthar court. Most of the nice 3 and 4 star hotels in Abuja are owned by Ibos. It will be theirs for ever. I was in the thick forest of Ilara, Lagos State last month and low and behold a Bayelsa man was there talking about doing fish farming in partnership with the natives. No body can challenge you on surface land rights to farm or live if you have ownership

People are just LYING to you. Abeokuta people cannot hold Nigeria to ransom for cement that is coming from their land. It is the Federal Government property licensed to Dangote. Ajaoukuta, NigerIan should have been making $5bn every year from this if the project had worked . No Igbira or Okenne man can do rubbish.
Everything below SIX feet is the FG's.

The oil does not belong to the people of the Niger Delta. It belongs to Nigeria . This is clear and ongoing. Nigeria has abused the land of the Niger Delta people and should be paying rent for surface rights and access rights. However where the oil is ; in the deep dark bowels of the earth 2km down is not Niger Delta at all
The oil belongs to the FG by law and shared with the companies that risked billions of dollars to look for the oil and are keeping hardworking engineers and scientists busy 24/7 for years to produce it. That business takes years to even break even and start making profit.

We only hear and read illuminati on webs but the other one u compared it with is experienced and heard live!
Dude I don't believe illuminati/ freemason stories as much as I don't believe the evil of Islamic banking stories. Money is money and Nigeria is broke . I was just responding to jokers saying that taking Islamic money to develop an Islamic area of Nigeria is bad. IDB loans have been taken by Nigerian state governments since the 60s. Nigeria has big things going on that area. Mambila plateau is the best agricultural zone in Nigeria that is GDP growth from farming and agro allied industries. Mambila Hydro electric will generate 5000MW of electricity. So many things but schools have to be open and people have to be resettled . The welfare of Nigeria and the black man is a more important thing than parochial, tribalistic, brain dead thinking.
Like Abuja, if that place us reconstructed and booming, the Ibos would be the first to invest even more in the place for their own growth so what are we talking about.

30% recurrent budget is a VERY GOOD THING and a first in 16 years compared with PDP average of 15%. The only reason recurrent budget is even as high as this is the massive social intervention programs SIP which more exposed and intelligent observers would praise for an economy like Nigeria.

Nigeria will spend the bulk of recurrent on the poor, the kids and the young people for a change. I will cincede thatvthe Presidency and the National Assembly should bring down their budgets for 2016 to 50% of what it currently is.

It is not propaganda. Let Dieziani come to Nigeria now to tell us it is propaganda. We want her to even go on TV where she is hiding and tell us what APC government is saying is propaganda. Then we will believe it. For now you are just an idxxt defending thieves who have more resources to defend themselves but are not. . Go figure.

According to Ben Bruce, the only intelligent man remaining in the PDP. Nigeria should borrow as much as posdible to put into power and infrastructure. If you do that without corruption it is a very good thing. He believes Nigeria should not be borrowing to fund holes in the budget but should borrow big to do big things. Like integrated transport system, power and so on.
Buhari has not borrowed up to one fifth of Jonathan era borrowing and will not waste it like Dr Clueless Jonathan putting 35 million dollars in a briefcase for Ekiti elections
