It will do you a lot of good to ignore what these newspapers claim as regards reliable sources especially Sun newspapers. |
Avenir:This is how people fail exams. Did I ask for the ethnic groups of the people? What is wrong even if I had asked for that? Are we so united and integrated in Nigeria that ethnic nationalities do not matter again? So, as an Igbo man it does not matter if I want to become the governor of Lagos state tomorrow? Do you see how confused and stupid you are? Katsumoto:No. I posted at 11.09.20AM You posted at 11.11.23AM About 2 minutes so stop the same time claim. Are you allergic to facts? |
Katsumoto:There are people I disagree with on this forum that I have never insulted so I don't always do this. But when silly things like you who shamelessly promote and incite along ethnic lines even on general issues come on board I believe it makes perfect sense to address you the way you ought to be addressed. Why are you providing the names after I had done so? You see you are certainly not organized upstairs? Katsumoto:Did you provide contrary opinion or did you accuse me of making short-sighted comments and promoting hatred by making meaningless insinuations? You disgust me. I prefer to deal with people who are bold enough to be tribalistic than those that pretend they are not even though it runs in their bloods. |
Katsumoto:Shameless bigot. Avenir:Shameless and stupid response. Anyway I guess the internet is big enough for one to search for information. Found the answer on another thread here on Nairaland. Abiodun Akinoshun Kemi Adegoke https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-443694.0.html You guys are just bunch of hypocrites and tribal bigots who see everything from tribal prisms. |
Katsumoto:What am I introducing? What comment is short-sighted? Do you think everyone sleeps and eats tribal politics like you? You are despicable to say the least. You always try to sound intelligent but the level of reasoning is suspect. What is wrong in asking for names of those who lost? On this thread names of those that won have been written down so what makes it wrong to ask for the others? You may pretend not to be a tribal bigot but you cannot deceive everyone because you can never hide your true colors. You effortlessly labeled some soldiers that took part in a military coup Igbos sons and have the guts to query a simple question about the names of people who contested and lost elections. I will assume that they are non Igbos going by your out of point response to the question I asked. |
bilymuse:Lie. Every single Biafran that died sacrificed his/her life for Biafra. I understand your anger that we did not allow you to murder Ojukwu, kpele. @topic, Good news. I learned that 2 Nigerians lost the elections, what are their names? |
This is business and if your major source of income is from adverts then anything related to the advertisers would come into play from favorable stories about the advertisers to their business interests. Now, why would advertisement be the major source of income? Can't they change this common strategy and fashion out ways to reach more reading public at cheaper rates? Create alternative distribution channels if the present ones are sabotaging it. You cannot do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. They understand the politics of the business and the consequences of their actions. Put differently, they should learn to think outside the box. |
The rules are clear. Punishment for such crimes remains death. There is no excuse that can be made for those that have been sentenced to death. Problems present enough opportunities for us to make money by providing solutions but it seems that some of us are only interested in the get rich quick schemes and deals. If you are old enough to peddle hard drugs then you should be man enough to face the death penalty like a man. This is a choice, no one was forced into doing this so there would be no tears shed for people like these. |
Becomrich7:Speechless!!! |
baba-bosun:Not entirely correct because there are christians that condemn the attacks by christians. Do not make the same mistake of generalization that you are condemning. |
Before the illegal invasion of Iraq based on lies Bush and his gang told the world about WMD basically the US fooled the world with the lies that were at that time compelling to the easily confused person. Today we know better. So, one must be very cautious when it comes to swallowing information from the West especially when it comes to their interests as they can do anything to promote an agenda including killing innocent people. |
hotoracle:What is the evidence that the email belongs to the correct agency? The main website is under construction. Who owns that domain? |
Service providers that focus on price wars will only regret their actions. The good news is that these days customers are now more interested in quality services and not the cheapest services out there. As they say, sometimes experience is the best teacher. This same problem exist in the inverter backup business where overwhelming majority of people that have decided to use inverters end up complaining because they usually go for the cheap inverters from people who know very little about inverter backup from quality of inverter to battery bank sizing and the reliability of batteries. This will continue until the average client learns to understand the basics of some of these products and services, only then will the service provider not be able to deceive, confuse or rip off a paying customer. |
Person dey say come at the same time dey run, which kain style be dis? |
ElRazur:The UN interpreter being good is not the issue here because if the interpreter is groomed to promote an agenda he/she will simply do that and those that are not aware of the agenda will simply focus on how good the interpreter is. The US lied to the world about WMD in Iraq and I personally know a lot of people that were ready to defend the lies with their lives claiming that the US intelligence cannot be faulted only to be shamed when the facts came out. My take on Iran's president's position is this - He believes that the figure was exaggerated and going by what is happening today that opinion could be 100% correct. And then he correctly questions why the Palestines should lose their lives and their lands for crimes committed by Germany in Europe. Why must the Palestines pay for crimes committed by Europeans? These are simple issues that make a lot of sense. |
ElRazur:You heard him. Was he speaking in english language when you heard him or was there an interpreter? |
ElRazur:Can you post clear statements supporting the points you claim to be making because all I read here are comments you saw online which you assume to be correct. |
iluvnet:I think you have raised a very important issue here - Why bother with a website if the cost cannot be justified. Trust me, there is no easy answer to your question because people get websites for different reasons from information dissemination to e-commerce or from social networking to support services. Not all businesses are online but the advantages of websites are immense if implemented properly depending on what the owners of the websites want. However, just as a proprietress of a school you would not allow a pupil pass through your school without paying it will be difficult (not impossible though) to get someone to analyze your needs and advice or recommend ways you can make money from your website. So, why do you want a website? Is it because your friends have websites? Is it because you want a centralized information center that is accessible 24/7? Do you want to make easy for people to find out information about your school, apply or register? It depends on you. |
Jarus:I guess he ended being the interviewer with his numerous uncoordinated questions. ![]() |
1. Claiming that the holocaust was exaggerated is not the same thing as denying the holocaust. 2. What is wrong with Iran supporting Hamas? Hamas is a freedom fighting organisation being supported by those that are concerned about the injustices in Palestine just as US is funding and arming Israel. 3. I hope Africa gets to see more determined leaders that will care for their countries and not just trying to obey or please the West. 4. Zimbabwe is a sovereign nation and the US and UK should stop dictating to it. Whites came, maimed, killed and seized Zimbabwean lands and nobody complained. Mugabe redressed the injustice and blacks are complaining. When will this colonial mentality end? |
lovenifest:We should praise him for making an effort to trace his parents? Why not praise me for asking you the question? |
All these Kanu/Fashanu abi na Arsenal/Aston Villa gist na wah. I thought people would be very careful making statements that could be easily verified online. |
frosbel:This guy is just a clown. Why excuse such terrible acts just because the perpetrators are christians? The hypocrisy here is stinking and unfortunately, come people believe this is how christians behave. This latest killing is as unfortunate as the ones before it and all those responsible are guilty of murder and killing of innocent people, simple. |
Nigerians should be ready for the worst if the US succeeds in dictating to Nigeria because there are a lot of willing tools that have no principles and are ready to do anything to remain relevant in the scheme of things. |
I wonder what would happen to a lot of media houses that report Nigerian news if things just got a whole lot better because it seems they are in business when things are bad. Or, will they now start manufacturing stories to keep up with the revenue? |
+++++++++++++++++ http://saharareporters.com/real-news/sr-headlines/5858-ig-of-police-onovo-defies-jonathans-order-to-arrest-ibori.html IG of Police Onovo Defies Jonathan’s Order To Arrest Ibori PDF | Print | E-mail Monday, 19 April 2010 18:53 IGP Onovo and Yar'adua Acting President Goodluck Jonathan is facing the first serious challenge to his authority as commander-in-chief of the Nigerian Armed forces as the Inspector General of Police, Ogbonna Onovo, has rejected Jonathan’s order to arrest former Governor James Ibori. “I can confirm that Dr. Jonathan gave Onovo the order some 24 hours ago, but the IG has refused to comply,” said a source who is a member of the Presidential Advisory Council and who has been briefed on the matter. Another source within the Presidency told Saharareporters that Jonathan handed Ogbonna the order yesterday after Mrs. Waziri Farida, chairperson of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), briefed the acting president about her agents’ problems in executing a warrant for Ibori’s arrest. The EFCC had last week obtained an arrest warrant from an Abuja court and subsequently declared Ibori wanted. As soon as Ibori knew that Waziri was determined to carry out his arrest, he fled from Lagos to the creeks in Delta State where he recruited a retinue of heavily armed militants. With them, he headed for his hometown in Oghara where he is currently being protected by the militants as well as 29 armed policemen largely drafted from the notorious mobile unit known as "MOPOL" in police circles. Our sources revealed that Mrs. Waziri met with Jonathan and briefed him about the difficulties encountered by EFCC agents detailed to arrest Ibori since the middle of last week. “Madam basically told the acting president that Ibori’s residence in Oghara is highly fortified and is being guarded by heavily armed mobile police officers,” said our source. A furious Jonathan, according to presidency sources, then called the IGP. “The acting president basically told the IG that, police officers were guarding Ibori, he considered Ibori to be in the IG’s custody. He therefore asked the IG to turn Ibori in accordingly.” Though Ogbonna sounded unhappy with the request, he reportedly promised Jonathan that he would contact the Delta Commissioner of Police, Yakubu Adamu Alkali, to effect Ibori’s arrest. “Apparently, the CP stoutly refused to carry out the order,” said one of our sources, and Onovo seems to have accepted that “as his final answer to Jonathan’s order,” said our source. This direct act of disobedience is compounded by the fact that the CP and a top Naval officer in Delta State paid a courtesy visit to the fugitive Ibori at his Oghara residence on Sunday. A source close to Ibori said the two men said they came to pledge loyalty to the ex-governor. The source added that Ibori lavishly entertained his law enforcement and military guest. The source also added that the visit had a festive air, with "a lot of eating, drinking and bantering between Chief Ibori andhis visitors". The member of the advisory council who spoke to us confidentially revealed that Jonathan was weighing several responses to the act of defiance by the police authorities, but he would not enumerate what those options are. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ |

This is why I advocate that the views of a lot of Nigerians living outside Nigeria should be thrown to the dustbin because most times they display a very high level of annoying ignorance that you would want to personally slap them over and over again. Anyone that uses a generator in Nigeria can afford to pay for 24/7 electricity due to the relevant costs of the generator/fuel/diesel and the tariff. Kobojunkie argues blindly and even lies a lot. Knowall is another ignorant guy who thinks he is intelligent. He once started a thread to sell himself to work with Ribadu because he thinks he has a lot to offer Nigeria. Basically, some Nigerians living outside Nigeria would want to hope for the worst for Nigerians and they feel stupid when they realize that indeed some Nigerians are doing 100% better than them so they try to make themselves feel cool by watering down any positive developments in Nigeria or lying about the true state of affairs in Nigeria to justify their stay outside Nigeria. The NITEL experience is enough to demonstrate the ability of Nigerians to pay for services when they are available. At home I use a regular meter and my monthly bill is usually between N300.00 and N450.00 including the monthly meter maintenance charge. At work, I use a prepaid meter and apart from the monthly meter maintenance charge the cost of electricity for about 2 years was less than N3,000.00 even though the power situation is poor in the office. I used a generator for 1 year in the office and realized it was very expensive to run and I ended up building an inverter system and for over 6 years now I have never used a generator in the office. The cost of running the generator in 1 year covers the total cost of my inverter backup system in over 6 years and counting. That same generator cost will guarantee me up to 40 years of electricity all things being equal apart from the maintenance charges. |
Katsumoto:I am sure you know my position on insults. I have never and will never insult any tribe for any reason because it is impossible for a whole tribe to be guilty of any one thing. I believe insults should be at a personal level that is if we cannot do without it anyway. I am not in support of anyone insulting a people. However, one fact remains - on issues concerning Igbos or Biafra or even Ojukwu those who resort to insults especially targeted at ethnic groups are those that disagree with the Igbos and many of them rain abuses and wonder why for example Ojukwu is being seen as a hero when his people should see him as a coward. Put differently, supporting a course or praising someone should not be a reason to insult an ethnic group and if we must stick to the facts you will agree with me that most times the Igbos are at the receiving end of the insults by some people who feel that they are supporting the wrong person. Prevention they say is better than cure so it is best insults are prevented than trying to manage the fallout of such insults. |
Katsumoto:I disagree with this because from what has been happening it seems certain people from certain parts of Nigeria tend to agree with certain things while people from other parts tend to disagree even on the same issues - the reason being that those issues affect the people differently and as such would be interpreted differently. I am an Igbo man from Enugu state and I believe that is why I may see Ojukwu as a hero based on what he did shortly before and during the war whereas Katsumoto who is not an Igbo man would always disagree with what Ojukwu did or even tend to insult the Igbos based on certain reasons. What's the difference here? Ethnic group, as simple as that unless we want to play to the gallery. So, someone who is so strongly opposed to an issue that has every semblance of ethnic undertone as regards the Igbos or Biafra as a whole should be able to tell us where he comes from. Or, do you expect the son of Murtala or Gowon to come here and agree that Ojukwu is a hero? Is that possible? |
mikeansy:After reading this I went back to IBB's coup speech and I guess he knew Buhari so well to have written the following in 1985. mikeansy:Need I say more? |
tensor777:There is a saying that goes thus: when issues come to logic some people begin to see ghosts. Facts were produced and all you write while hiding under a screen name on a public forum is arrant nonsense or utter nonsense just because the facts make nonsense of your position. I guess there is no point in explaining anything to you as this forum cannot be a substitute for a history course. Enjoy the rest of the week. |
This are the creme de la creme of the finest interpreter that works in this kind of place.
