EzeCanada: You do not know my background and therefore cannot possibly determine my faith.
Moreover, I do not mean to undermine you, afterall I pointed out that you had all it takes to rule your country. Political affiliations, religion, ethnicity or what have you should not pose any limitation. What you lack is courage, determination. political will and foresight.
With a top notch agenda coupled with the features listed above the Nigerian presidency could be within reach
You mentioned popularity, do you know you are already popular on Nairaland. Do you also know Nairaland is one of the leading online community platform in the world. No.1 in Africa and obviously Nigeria, in terms of membership. So all you could do is work out a blue print, start and build up your campaign in Niaraland.
Then take a step further by visiting any PDP office or better still visit the link below for a membership form: http://peoplesdemocraticparty.com.ng/?page_id=69
Your popularity on Nairaland if well harnessed should translate to followership and popularity in PDP if you are able to properly market your agenda.
I only wanted you to see possibilities where there seem to be limitations considering most Nigerian youth look up to you for leadership after all individuals like Obama, Buhari and a host of others turned what looks like thier limitations into possibilities. So why can't you? The question is not about who is more qualified or has the ability to take Nigeria to the promise land. It's simply predicated on a political a party, PDP winning back the presidential seat that they lost to APC and our answer is supposed to be in that direction and i think my reply was apt. |

EzeCanada: Sorry to say this, but you sounded like a brain watched fellow with severe low self esteem.
The rate at which you arrived at your conclusion to narrow your search light towards the north in search of a replacement without giving it a second thought is mind boggling.
Whatever happened to yourself. What makes you disqualified to rule Nigeria considering you are of age, articulate, sharp and enlightened?
You need to reformat your thought process and mind set asap bro.
Thank you It's because of people like you that other countries think we're dumb as a people. The OP asked a very concise question; " Who Can Lead The PDP Back To Aso Rock?" No, i can't lead PDP back to Aso rock and neither can you. only a popular politician can do that and the person will have to be from the north to be able to steal some votes from whoever the other party (APC) presents. I don't understand why this simple question and my answer should be difficult to decipher. |
Politics › Re: There's Nothing Like The 'north' by Afam4eva(m): 3:15am On Aug 30, 2017 |
It doesn't take a soothe sayer to conclude that the OP is a tribalist extraordinaire. I checked the source he provided and it wasn't riddled with the hate in his comment.
The truth is that everybody is ignorant. The same way some southerners call all northerners hausa is the same way northerners call everyone who isnt from the North or Yoruba, Igbo. even in the ignorance, Hausa has come to mean anybody who is from the north or/and a muslim. So, when someone from the south says Hausa, they're referring to northerners. |
Politics › Re: There's Nothing Like The 'north' by Afam4eva(m): 2:51am On Aug 30, 2017 |
knowledgeable: "Same reasons we Igbos are so plenty in Lagos". It's mostly by design. Although, Igbos by nature are a migratory group, but the overwhelming concentration of Igbos either in the West or North were as a result of age long marginalization, lack of infrastructure/sea port/international airport and etc. Obasongo is one of the chief architect of the new dysfunctional structure right after the war. You wouldn't know because they also stopped the teaching of Nigerian history in schools. Igbos will always be wiser than Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis because they are at the receiving end of the "evil" that is Nigeria *note; don't forget, they sacrificed millions in order not to be found all over the North or west. You're beating a dead horse. Just let it be. |

Tats: I don't think people from outside Africa should judge such competitions. They will be more suited to mustard taste. Whereas, how can you cook jollof rice without tomatoes? It's called jollof rice and not tomato rice. The fact that Nigeria and a lot of other countries use tomato for theirs doesn't mean everybody should. I also think having judges from outside Africa will make it non bias as opposed to having African judges who will be suited to what they are used to. |

Acjohn: It is like a rival you know borrowing your shirt to talk to your babe or let say you have a shop you sell shoes and someone is coming to advertise same kind of shoe that you sell in the same shop. you know its same kind of shoe bit the rival is bent at vilifying you in your shop so that the person can buy same shoe in your shop Besides is Biafra a country? isnt it illegal to sell the flag of a country not recognized by the international communities? In as much as the police and government handled it wrongly I blame the so called Biafra s too This is the question you should have asked first before coming to conclusions. I think it's been said severally and it's in the UN charter that the right to self determination is imperative for any indicidual or group, so what groups like IPOB and MASSOB are doing is in no way illegal. Moreso, selling of items with Biafran flags imprinted on them. |
Politics › Re: Breaking! Police Shoot Ipob Members Selling Biafran Flag In P/h, Arrest Many Now by Afam4eva(m): 5:19pm On Aug 29, 2017 |
Acjohn: Although it is wrong to sell Biafra flag in this country but the double standard of Nigerian Government towards those in the south and the North brings a lot to mind. by allowing the Northern youth to roam the street after the ultimatum and the Police inability to arrest those that released the hate song make couple with the Fulani herdsmen that kills depending on their mood of the day makes one wonder if anybody that has a Hausa name can do what they like and go free. One Nigeria will be treated as a statement of hypocrisy unless the Government start treating criminals as criminals in every area of this country Can you explain the emboldened. |
Politics › Re: Who Can Lead The PDP Back To Aso Rock? by Afam4eva(m): 5:14pm On Aug 29, 2017 |
PDP needs a strong northerner to wrestle some northern votes from either Buhari or whoever APC decides to field. When that is achieved, i think the south is pretty much ope to anyone especially in the south east and south-south where Buhari or APC is hated even more than satan. |

I think we need to put things in perspective. Nnamdi kanu has flouted his bail conditions which he agreed to and his re arraignment is based on that. However, i think the FG is hypocritical and known within them that they don't have the moral justification to arrest him because he has not being found wanting and they have also disobeyed the court orders that asked them to release him. |

Joebie: The real question is how is it that a country of over 180 million that are football crazy can't have a domestic league with a good standard?
Modified. So you really think that any league besides those big names are whack? I have not said any of those other leagues are and the issue about our domestic league is a topic for another day. The pint remains that our football is not growing as this should reflect in our players ability to get spots in big teams in europe. Smaller countries like Cote diviore, Ghana, Cameroon and Senegal are making it big in europe. Why should ours be different? |

How is it that a country of almost 180 million heads cannot produce a dozen players who play for elite clubs (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern Munchen, PSG, AC Milan, Inter, Juventus, ROMA). Something is definitely wrong somewhere. |

I'm beginning to think that pro-Biafra supporters an in particular, IPOB are full of egocentric characters because i don't understand the constant demonizing of Willie Obiano who has done nothing but added his quota to the development of Anambra and Igboland. He's probably the only Igbo governor who has made giant strides and he keeps getting heckled by IPOB. You must learn to separate your agitations which you're entitled to from the constant harrasment of Obiano. |

scholes0: These are expats that have been to a lot of countries on this globe. Sure, Lagos is third world... but worst in the world? A bit of a stretch imo. Nobody says Lagos is the worse in the world and not even in the rankings. My only concern is that Lagos is doing worse than a few years ago which doesn't make sense considering that things have gotten a tat bit better. We cannot rule out the fact that people who come up with these rankings are not inundated about cities in Nigeria like other cities in the world and just jump to conclusions based on what they've heard. |

There are far WORSE cities in this world to live in this world. The worst places in Lagos are on google earth streetview, anyone can go and view them, and they are very far from being the worst places n the world. Pls, don't let these foreigners fool you. They're simply sucking up to us. I'm not sure Lagos should be ranked that low but i can't say that the ranking isn't apt. |

The truth is that there are pros and cons of everything under the son no matter how good or bad they are. what the OP said is no different from what you hear from white supremacist who think that there should be no racial mixing in order not to contaminate the bloodline and even though these people and their beliefs are viewed with so much disdain, there are merits to their point of view just like the OP has stated the reasons why he thinks there should be no mixing which includes the fact that children will lose out of either culture as they're more likely to be neutralised from culture. Great point right?
Now, we have to decide what is important to us. Is it preserving our culture as it is now or as it was or uniting the world through the marriages. if the latter is the case then the same argument can be made for sub tribes. For instance, Ijebu people should marry only Ijebu people and it can even be extended to towns and even villages. So, this argument does not hold water because the OP is basing his argument on ethnic groups.
As much as i want our culture to be maintained and i usually prefer Igbo men marrying outside Igboland than Igbo women doing so for the same reason. However, i think creating a world where there will be unity should be supreme in the minds of everybody and inter-tribal and racial marriages will definitely help in this regard. |
