It is one thing to be signed unto a label who sees that a record or two can be made from you, it is another to have a label who believes in your passion, craft and person in general..

No one is underscoring Olamide's input into his career but it wouldn't have been possible without Adekunle Gold himself. The dude is a talented mofo. So, it's more about him and his talent can take himplaces with or without olamide. Though i understand that sometimes, combos help. A case in point is Don Jazzy and Dbanj's debacle.

So, why did Olamide leave coded tunes and you want Adekunle Gold to remain. Was Olamide more popular when he left coded tunes compared to Adekunle Gold of today? The answer is NO. Even though i believe that artiste should stop floating record labels all over the place, the only reason why they're doing so is because the available record labels are not strong. They only use those platforms to gain prominence after which they'll decide to go solo.

I just hope she's not distorting the mindset of these young ones. Not everyone will be like her. It's nice to be independent, but sometimes, we need people, we need each other, no shame, no pride. Again, I'm not disagreeing with what she is trying to do.

I've always wondered why when people, espcially Nigerians are engaged in some form of quarel, in order to scare of their opponent, they brag about where they come from or where they have been.

Here are few examples:

You will probably have children and in your pan Nigerian nature, you will tell them to speak English and never Igbo. You won't mind if they even learn Yoruba and speak as opposed to Igbo because you think it's a pan Nigerian thing to do. meanwhile, other tribes are not thinking the way you are thinking. They remain very grounded in their culture and don't really leave outside their homeland. The only reason why you don't live in the east is because you feel you're to big to do so. You feel lagos and Abuja are the place to be. Have you ever asked yourself why Enugu or Owerri are not like Lagos or Abuja?
