Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Nairaland HR, How Do You Ensure Fairness When You Receive Thousands Of Cvs?. by Afam4eva(m): 7:52am On Jan 12, 2017 |
Sweetestrose: Mtchewww, most hr just have a way to justify some of their deeds. At the end of the day, it still boils down to "man know man". How can you say that an application has chances to be considered as "late" when the proposed stated deadline had not elapsed. When on some occasions the deadline of some job application is even the day it was posted. And from your statement, you have also confirmed that you do not go through all CVS as you tend to pick only the ones that are captivating "to you" hence equal opportunity is not given to all applicants. Continue, God is watching you guys in 3d. You forget that tables may turn one day as this world we live in is a circle. Anybody who applies for a job abd does not follow the very simple rules don't deserve to have that Job. That's a very ideal way of reducing the number of applicants. |

Travel › Re: Lamentations As Igbo Transporters Exploit Igbo Commuters In South East by Afam4eva(m): 6:58pm On Jan 09, 2017 |
Instead of blaming the government of the day for the inflation in the land, some dolts are making this about Biafra. These transporters are business men and all they want is profit. They wouldn't needlessly just hike the fare for the sake of doing so. Things are bad at the moment and i don't think they would want to run at a loss. Direct your complaints to Ohanaeze Ndigbo and not private businesses.
The people that are complaining, what have they done for Igboland. They only remember that they're Igbos when they are at the other end of the stick and they use such emotional blackmail to tell us why Biafra will not work because Igbos don't love themselves bla bla bla. How about you convert your own business to a charity organization, so that other Igbo can benefit from you as well. Umu ogbanje. |

@garanntor Are you in any way implying that your hosting servers are domiciled in Nigeria? That will be great to hear because other hosting companies have tried it in the past and failed woefully.
The only thing i think local hosting guaranties really is a faster load time for local visitors. |

nonsobaba: When i tell people that abakaliki and wawa(enugu) people are not real igbos, some call me a racist. Abakaliki and Wawa people have been the biggest saboteurs in the history of igbos. From the sabotage of the biafran war, to granting fulanis license to build mosques all over ebonyi state, to the free passage granted to fulani terrorists disguising as herdsmen to use enugu state as a launch base to attack igboland, these people have shown that they have mixed blood rushing through their veins. But one thing must be made very clear. APC is seen as an islamic and satanic cult here in Igboland no matter what clowns like Umahi say. Only if illiterate Igbos like yourself will just die, Igboland will move forward. |

YourNemesis: 75% oh pls, dont push it. More like 60%
for 35-40% of Nigeria, Yoruba is a failiar language, even if they do not really undersatand indepthly. Keep deluding yourself. Yoruba as a language does not go beyond the confines of Yorubaland. It's more spoken than Igbo because of the Lagos factor. But outside the SW, Yoruba is not understood except by Yorubas and few people who grew up in Yorubaland. |

RedboneSmith: Having lived in the south-south, the south-west and the south-east, it is my impression that southeasterners have the poorest command of Pidgin of the three zones. And I mean those southeasterners born and raised in the southeast. I also heard someone say it while i was serving in imo state. After doing some investigations, i realized that the people who actually speak pidgin English well are those who live in cosmopolitan cities such as Lagos, PH etc. The only place where pidgin English is very well spoken is actually in the South-South states. In the SE, SW, North and other homogeneous places, pidgin English is barely well spoken. But i don't believe the SE is the worst at pidgin English. I think the North takes that position. Even the SW is not a pidgin English enclace. Don't base your judgement on Lagos alone. I have met a Yoruba guy that can;t speak English (He's from the rural part of Ondo) and i resorted to pidgin and the guy didn't understand jack. he only speaks Yoruba. That's not something you'll find easily in the east. Almost everybody understand pdgin English to a certain level. |

I also seriously doubt that 60% of the southwest can speak Hausa. 60%! Can you substantiate this claim. |
