babyfaceafrica:But Mourinho has won premiership titles, La Liga titles, Champions league, Serie a etc. That's why clubs are after him. The rudeness is just an added advantage. What has Oliseh won in his entire life as a coach? |
mmsen:He's a great analyst and not a good coach. Apart from being a bad coach, his ego is as big as the size of Africa. He should go and coach supersports. he shouldn't ever think of coming to coach the super eagles again. |
omonnakoda:Why does your existence revolve around Igbo. From your username tto every comment you make, |
Omooba77:He was consumed by his incompetence. |
BiafranBushBoy:Your blog is simply but ok.Google wwon't have any problem with it. I don't know much about your content whether it'sunique or not. make sure it's original. i forgot too add that you'll need an About us, privacy and Terms and Conditions page to get accepted into qn adsense program. |
BiafranBushBoy:1. The website has to be professional designed. 2. The website must have original content. 3. To get approved by adsense, it's advisable that you have atleast 20 unique articles. |
santos876:Forget about Affiliate market if you're in the sports niche and your target audience is Sports. Affiiate marketing is not as easy as people make it seem. You need a lot of traffic to make money from it. Stick to Adsense. The reason your adsense was denied was because they probably didn't feel your website was professional enough. Plus, you have to check to make sure your articles are original. |
FincoApps: mokoshalb:O boy, nothing comes easy in life. It's just that people tend to look down on Web and Software developers because we don't see people saying stuff to doctors like: "Pls i want to learn how to perform brain surgery but i don't have any money" |
is Bahamas a US territory though? |
Lol@ Igbos don't do that sh1t. Amarom na umu nwoke igbo enwero zi amu I agree with kilode100. if a man buys a car The woman is beautiful too. See as the husband dey laugh sheepishly Person dey kpomi ninu kolobo iyawo e and you dey laugh ![]() |
isn't the professor right though? |
Wulfruna:I understand where you're coming from and i covered that a bit in my post. he feels Aniocha are more Igbo than Ika because their dialect is more similar to what is spoken in the east than Ika. I'm sure he's aware that there are people from Aniocha that disclaim the Igbo tag even though they may be in the minority compared to those who do the same in Ika. I guess that's just the way the OP understands it. |
jwax:LMAO Na so all of us make mouth during our time. Btw, why not find another school somewhere in ore to accept you and then talk to the principal about rejecting you. |
Wulfruna:Laureta Onochie is from Ika. @As much as you tried to use objectivity to drive home your point, i don't think using objectivity like you have done can give you a true picture. The only thing i see you doing is that those you classified as Igbos are those that have typical Igbo idiosyncrasies. Notice my usage of the word "typical". I don't know why people tend to define Igbos by popular characteristics of people from the South-East which could have come due to the unique history that they share. It's just like saying someone doesn't look Igbo because they cannot hustle like the average Igbo man without realizing that even hustling really hard is a popular behavior of Igbo people, it's not the only behavior of Igbo people. There are Igbo people that are lazy. there are Igbo people that cannot do business etc. I think it's pertient that you tell us why you think Ika for example are from Edo as opposed to Enuani? let me guess: is it because they have an Edo influence on their Igboid language? or they could be Edo with Igbo influence. it depends on how you look at it. it's imperative that Igbo is not a homogenous group and as such all Igbo people should not be exactly the same or have the same political inclination. There are Igbo people and there are people people. There are Igbo people that according to natural order are Igbos based on their language, culture and tradition but they could decide not to go with the Igbo tag. I remember one Ndoni guy on this forum who swore that ndoki was not Igbo but he agreed that all the "BIA" speaking tribes should come together and give themselves a new name but not "Igbo". That's when i realized the fact that the fear of these people isn't necessarily about working the SE Igbos but the fact that being tagged Igbo will swallow their uniqqueness and dissipate them into nothingness. It's just like telling an Annang person to call himself Ibibio. |
We all have experiences like this one. I just started patronizing some Nigerians hosts for some of my clients and even the best of them all can be a mess. Let's not even talk about their support system. A total mess. I will be writing an article to compare Nigerian hosting companies. |
Are you a web designer? |
“Nigeria’s South-East has not recorded incidence of armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism and associated violence as well as inter-communal, herdsmen-farmers clashes during this Yuletide due to the on-going military exercise in the region tagged Operation Python Dance.Thunder ga fire ndi a mega press up. A few days ago a group of fulani herdsmen raided a village in Abia state injuring so many people i sw this on TVC. Why do authorities iin this country just lie blatantly. |
They should pls leave the woman alone. Witch ko ogbanje ni. |
sade1994:So, the rice no cross Onitsha bridge? maybe when they complete the second Naija bridge. |
What do people gain from overspeeding. if i cross 90, call me bascard ![]() |
Ngozi123:Mba oo. I just want to start learning it. I plan on visiting latin America in the future and it will come handy to understand Spanish and Portugese. |
There's a reason why some people defend their own thieves like their lives depend on it. There's no gain saying that some communities have been developed with the help of resources gotten from thievery, so these communities don't ind supporting their thieves since other people call their ow thieves leaders. There are some parts of the country where thieves are never arrested or charged to court. |
Ngozi123:I schooled in Mauritius which is a French island but i wasn't able to pick it up even though i tried so hard. I actually intend to enroll for french classes before i move over to Spanish. While still trying to perfect my spoken Igbo. |
Ngozi123:You're welcome. I've tried Learning "je ne pas parle francais" but the language is really difficult ![]() |
Ngozi123:I'm yet to be fluent in Igbo. I'll say i'm somewhere around 60%. I was able to improve because i had the foundation. The best way to learn it to find someone you can speak it with repeatedly. If it' possible to live in Igboland for a year, that will definitely be an added advantage. Btw, which 4 languages do you speak? ![]() |
Muzanga:He shouldn't live his life again because people love him. Una wan use una useless love hold am for neck. |
This "WestWorld" dey make brain gan. Even though i don't understand 100% of the lot, it's a fantastic series and a lot of work must have gone into it. |
mantosa:Whose wayward child is this? |
GudluckIBB:Where did you see Elumelu? or should i say, which Elumelu are you referring to cos the ones i know isn't in any of those pics. |
Can you quote where you saw this assertion. What i see mostly are people who just want their own country. For some of them, they thin it will be great idea of the Niger Delta to join them. I don't know why really. Could be because off oil or a sense of brotherhood. I don't now. |
@Op Tanks for the incisive writeup. this is a topic very dear to my heart. Needless to say, I'm one of those Lagos brought up Igbos. My parents prefered that wwe spoke English at home instead of Igbo even though they would speak igbo to us but we could only speak English to ourselves (siblings). So, i was lucky to have understood Igbo from a very young age (but couldn't speak). I made a conscious effort to learn Igbo as an adult and i think i did a good job and even though i'm not fluent or will not be speaking Igbo with those Alaba or Onitsha market boys for fear of being disgraced, i think i have come a long way in the Igbo learning curve. For me, the problem of Igbo kids not speaking Igbo is more too do with the way Igbo is looked down upon a opposed to the inability of Igbos kids to speak igbo. Like we all know, it's very common with Igbos outside Igboland and when you compare them with Yorubas and hausas outside Yorubaland and Hausaland, you'll realize that we're at the bottom of the pecking ther as far as understanding one's mother tongue is concerned. This trend is not only common outside Igboland. There's something happeniing inside Igboland that i don't thin people realize. I was happy some years back when i was called to service (NYSC) and i was posted to a palce called Ohaji/Egbema in Imo state and i was happy that i was going to Igboland where i'll be able to master the Igbo language. On getting there, i realized that whenever i spoke Igbo to some natives, they always tend to reply me in English in a bid to show me that they're educated and exposed to. This was really annoying. I also realized that in our higher institutions, Pidgin English is giving Igbo language arun for its money. meaning friends will rather communicate in pidgin in an unofficial capacity than Igbo which is the opposite of what i experienced in my secondary school days in lagos where my Yoruba friends and classmates always wanted to kill me with yoruba languae even when they knew i couldn't (at the time). So, i wonder why our own case in Igboland is different. It's really shameful. |
