PoliticsRe: It's Time To Change Enugu State's Slogan by Afam4eva(m): 7:43pm On Jan 05, 2017
nonsobaba:
There is power in the word. Ever since Anambra became Light of the Nation, the state has been a reference point for good governance all over Nigeria. Coal city or Golden city tag gives one the impression that there is one special city in the state that overshadows every other part of the state. It is an illusion because even mere cashew sales generates far more revenue in Enugu state than the comatose Coal inustry. You see why the name is awkward?
if you say the name should be changed because Enugu can no longer be described as a coal city state because it doesn't produce any state, i may agree with you. But if you're suggesting that by changing a name, all things will fall into place then i don't know what to say. If the name was so important then why has the coal industry being in comatose considering that it's named the coal city. lol.

I agree. Coal city or Golden city state is the reason why development is disproportionate in the state as all governors focus on Enugu town while the rest of the state looks like were people fled a war or something.
So, by renaming it, development will spread even if the government does not make a concerted effort to do so?

This is not hacking. I'm surprised that the website was not taken down earlier.

The problem with Nigeria is that every tom, dick and kelechi that doesn't understand the importance of a website wants to have one and you will run into problems if you allow these kind of people to owe you because they will find it difficult to pay for a non tangible thing.

PoliticsRe: It's Time To Change Enugu State's Slogan by Afam4eva(m): 5:33pm On Jan 05, 2017
It should stay the way it is. You don't just change your history overnight. Enugu was more known for coal than anything else.

...You are very wrong with your postulations.
....In my office, most applicants who are able to scale through job interviews over the years are usually females(it has nothing to do with 'bottom-power'cos i usually have the last say on who gets picked)..Most males we have interviewed always appears not to know what they are talking about..Sometimes we are 'forced' to lower the oral interview standards slighly for males so that we can have enough mix of male and female...The funny thing is that those males we gave 'waivers' to turned out okay on their jobs, but they didnt sound as smart during their interviews..

...My point is that the fact that some females may not flow with the kind of conversations you guys find interesting does not make them stvpid...For instance,Most females(me included)find UEFA football and all the plethora of analysis that go with it boring, but that does not make me any less intelligent.

....On this forum,i dont see much of the so-called male intellectual prowess anyway because most intellectual discourse usually have little or no comments. It is only stuupid threads about celebrities, tribal threads,anti-female thread, sychophantic political threads,ego-tripping inter-country threads that you see comments going on forever..usually by males.

...Trust me when i say that there is no iota of intelligence by most male posters here to support your assertions that you guys are more intelligent...you can book-mark that.
The truth is, it just depends on the male or female. There are ignorant people everywhere. However, it's more likely that you will find more ignorant females in a beauty contest competition because most of these girls put their beauty above everything else and most important above intellect. Women can get away with that but not men. I agree that a lot of men are just as dumb or even worse but men don't have the luxury of being dumb lest they suffer. To find intelligent women, you really have to leave the entertainment circles and venture into the academia. Any girl that is brilliant is usually very brilliant likewise the men. So, i don't agree with your postulations that men are more ignorant. they just seem more violent with their ignorance. That's all.

@topic
We have to accept ourselves as an ignorant generation because many people casting aspersions on the girl that added a Dr prefix to Buhari don't know any better. Even after quite a handful of people have confirmed that Buhari was given a doctorate degree, they are still sticking to their belief. Who's now ignorant?

Pls, does anybody know when Rochas's administration will come to an end? I can't wait really. The imo state government under Rochas Okorocha have been the most silly in Igboland since 1999. Apart from their usuall insults on Igbos, they derive joy in deriding Igbos by presenting unsubstantiated infromation as fact to support their evil machinations.
PoliticsRe: Anambra 2017: Ifeanyi Ubah Defects To Apc by Afam4eva(m): 6:54am On Jan 05, 2017
I want to thank Dr Ifeanyi Uba for everything he has done in his own capacity to develop Anambra and Igboland at large. But pls, he should keep doing it and forget about being the Governor of Anambra state. We need technocrats to manage Anambra while business men like him help to develop it. I hope Obiano wins the next gubernatorial election, because he has done well so far.

PoliticsRe: Obiano's Wife "Osodieme" Visits Anambra First Child Of Year 2017 - Pictures by Afam4eva(m): 3:10pm On Jan 03, 2017
Why don't these first ladies just randomly pick a baby that was born in the new year instead of deceiving themselves thinking that they're deceiving anyone. How exactly do you know which baby was the first to be born in the state when there are hundreds of maternity homes scattered all over the place. Do they just go to the general hospital and pick a baby there and claim that it's the first baby to be born.

it also seems to me that first ladies in Nigeria have run out of activities. It seems this is the new fad to be in the news.

...would have loved to, but I'm in Nsukka now (just entered this evening). And I can say without equivocation that the government of the state is doing its best. I just want updates from the capital city cause it's been almost two years that I visited there.
I heard the Governor is doing a lot in Nsukka. maybe you can help us with some pictures. It's good to know that he's doing his best. Just post a few pics. Thanks.

keenly following the thread, we need more updates from those in the city. I appreciate the few updates on the effort of our amiable guvnor to transform the state wholly. And to those against the government effort, especially the one pouring vituperations and vilifying the government, should learn to criticize with facts.

We are Umu Enugu and bickering or squabbling of any kind is not in our DNA. We are our brothers keeper regardless of political boundaries.

Oga Spyder880, we need more of your frequent updates here even though I occasionally visit your blog.

Happy New Year umunne!!!
it seems you know a lot that we don't. So, why don't you do us the honours by posting pictures.

I have thought, long and hard on this issue, but, I can't find any logical reason for their dislike, which borders on hate.
I have looked high and low, there just isn't anything, or even a series of things, that I can point out and say, “that's why”.

There are no big clubs in Mauritius, so don't waste your time. Most football players in Mauritius do it as a part time job or should i say, a hobby. There are really no full time footballers over there because football is not lucrative. I was in an average All Nigerian team in Mauritius and we always walloped some pretty big clubs over there. As far as football is concerned, dem still dey learn.
TravelRe: Snow In Africa ! (pic) by Afam4eva(m): 11:02pm On Jan 01, 2017
Has anyone noticed the trend as it concerns snow? it seems to me that the more white people live in a place, the more likely it's going to snow. Just look at the whitest countries in the world. Canada, Russia, US, Scandinavia, Europe. You would think that the caribean islands that's close to North America will have snow but no. Why? There are loads of black people there. Come to Africa, it mostly snows in North Africa and the more downward you come, the less snow you get and we know it doesn't snow in West Africa but as soon as you go downwards to South Africa where you have some white people, you'll find some snow. Pls, no one should mention Australia.

Lol. this is probably crap of the highest order. justing thinking aloud.
